Fantastic experience: Taylor has done 3 of my tattoos and all of them came out absolutely perfect. He is a total badass, so fun to talk to and he was so helpful and understanding with me getting through my first tattoo. Couldn't recommend more!

Fantastic experience: On May 23, James got a big flower with a honeybee on his chest with bright colors and it look amazing! Taylor was his artist. He was very professional, clean, and friendly and his workmanship is breathtaking and remarkable!! My daughter Dejah got a Constellation of Stars going from her shoulder down her left side and it is awe-inspiring!! Thank you Taylor!!

Fantastic experience: Royal One Ft Worth has an exceptional group of talented artist. They definitely hold up to their Name "Royal One" - I highly recommend Taylor Popkins for anyone seeking an exceptional tattoo experience! I am not a very talkative person, but he made the experience exceptional and pleasant. I will be returning for him to do a cover-up on a botched tattoo I got years ago. This place is great and I’d seriously recommend it to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I had Daniel Gerbis do a sweet piece wrapping around my arm above my elbow and he NAILED it! My favorite tattoo to date. It’s beautiful and came out better than I expected. He was super easy to work with and works very efficiently. I highly recommend! I will definitely be getting more work done by him. Also, the tattoo shop itself is very clean and a comfortable place to be. 10/10 Thanks Royal 1. Love ya!

Fantastic experience: Jason has done an absolutely amazing job on all my tattoos for the last 3 years. My latest tattoo is by far my favorite and he was so incredibly skilled and precise with it. Fantastic experience: I came in on Saturday just on a whim and wanted a small cross tattoo on my hand. Justin was my artist and he did an amazing job. He did exactly what I wanted, I asked for something small and dainty because of the placement of my tattoo and it came out so perfect I’m in love with it. Fantastic experience: Really clean shop. Very talented artists. Reasonable prices and extras like shirts and body jewelry. Piercer only works on Saturday and by appointment.

Fantastic experience: Daniel at Royal 1 is so talented. I have 5 pieces from him and plan on finishing a sleeve. I can’t imagine seeing anyone else for a tattoo. He always makes me feel comfortable and I enjoy spending hours with him each time. The studio is also great. Some can be so intimidating but the artists at Royal 1 are so nice and everything is clean and well maintained. I can’t speak highly enough about Daniel Gerbis and Royal 1.

Fantastic experience: Taylor has been our go to guy completing my husbands sleeve and doing the top of my forearm. We love how he listens to what we want and is able to adjust to anything if we ask. Fantastic experience: Went here for ear piercing for my 7YO daughter and it was a great experience. She was nervous but Isaac answered all her questions (including random ones about the artwork in the shop) until she was comfortable. Everything looked clean and Isaac took great care to mark the spot on her earlobes multiple times until it was perfect. Easy recommend.

Fantastic experience: i’ve been going here for years and always back to Ryan, he’s never disappointed me and brings all my ideas to life with patience and ease. today i got to meet Issac and he pierced my 6 year olds years and was also amazing! he was so patient with her even though she was a bit nervous, and was reassuring the entire time. we even left the shop and she immediately told me “ i trust issac now “. all around amazing staff, clean shop, and 10/10 experiences every time <3 :)

Negative experience: Don't know if everyone went to the same shop I did. I was treated standoffishly, and then basically put on the back burner because I had a question about a design change. I had a piece done there in 2013 or so, and wanted to make them my go-to shop, but when the owner was the one being unprofessional, I decided it wasn't worth it. He was even the one who did my piece before he retired. Ain't gonna be back though, not worth the bad attitude from the owner. Edit: wasn't a big piece, would have known that if you actually read the message I sent. Just goes to show, this shop's owner, or whoever is in charge of the pages, doesn't read your messages. They just want brainless compliance. If I could drop this to zero stars for the sarcastic response, I would. First-hand example on how not to run a business, y'all.

Fantastic experience: Love love love! Came in for a walk in piece! It’s absolutely perfect. Daniel did such an amazing job. He did a remembrance piece for a cat that’s gone to pet heaven. I’m posting the picture he used to work from and my piece, because it looks exactly like my boy Rasputin!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Isaac for 3 years now & he has done 8 out of 17 of my ear piercings. I went to Ink817 for my flat & tragus and had problems so I went back to isaac to have them fixed and haven’t had any problems since! Also have never had any problems with the other 8 he’s done! He is the only piercer I recommend! 10/10

Fantastic experience: I hadn't gotten a tattoo in about 12 years and really needed my back piece reworked/finished. I was referred to Royal 1 and looked up on Instagram and decided to book with Taylor. I have now gotten my back piece complete along with 4 additional tattoos since, and my husband decided to start his sleeve piece shortly after I started as well. Shop is always a great environment and Taylor is always quick to respond when booking and work with you to bring to life exactly what you were wanting, along with great and fair pricing. Will recommend this place all day long.

Fantastic experience: Update: I have gotten 3 more tattoos from Taylor since my original review. They have all healed with no complications, and I love them all. It’s always a great experience stopping by to get a tattoo with Taylor. Original review 8 months ago- I got my first tattoo here a week ago. A friend recommended me Royal 1 a couple of years ago. I’ve been following a couple of the artists on Instagram for a few years as well as some other local artists. I really liked Taylor’s black and grey work. I emailed him the general gist of what I wanted. He put a piece together that I love. Taylor was very friendly. He walked me through the whole process. He always told me what to expect as far as discomfort goes. I had a two hour appointment with him and I’m amazed at how much he was able to do (good quality work) in that time. The entire experience was awesome for me. Taylor was awesome, the shop experience/ atmosphere was awesome, and most importantly I am very happy with my tattoo. I was given clear after care procedures, and I have had no complications a week later. When I want more work done I plan to go back to Taylor.

Fantastic experience: Jason is seriously AMAZING! My favorite tattoo yet! My family and I have been waiting years to get our tattoos together and it was well worth the wait. Not only did he do a fantastic job, he was personable, accommodating, respectful, and fair priced. When either of us had anything we were unsure of, he used his artistic ability to create a beautiful design. Will definitely be going back again (and again…and again) My daughter’s both had piercings done with Isaac and he did a phenomenal job with both! Fantastic experience: It's the hidden Tattoo/piercing shops that have the most Gems. We (hubs) get our tattoos done (collectively we have over 10 ) by Jason Cyphers. He does GREAT everytime and heals perfectly. Good, clean, solid tattoos, he's fast and gets it done. He's also funny so it helps pass the time. Taylor is also great. I walked in just for a second opinon from a professional stand point. He was honest, direct, knowledgeable and Super helpful. Also does dope tattoos. Got an industrial piercing by Isaac. It was quick, straight, effortless. So easy i forgot I got it done. Clean shop, great artists, fun conversations, good music.

Fantastic experience: I got spider bites done by Isaac here over the weekend and he was super nice and chill about everything! No judgement for me bringing a comfort plush, wasn’t rushing me to get up and go when we finished. Also was completely chill about me coming back in a few days later because I needed longer bars due to the swelling, didn’t charge anything extra for me coming by. Definitely reccomend!

Fantastic experience: I got tattooed by Taylor. He is by far the nicest tattoo artist I have ever met. He made my first experience very comforting. I was very nervouse walking in at first but he made sure I was comfortable and happy with the drawing, stencil and placement of my tattoo. He was willing to adjust it a few times until I was happy with it. He explained his whole way through and talked me through the whole time. He gave me thorough instructions on after care and made it very simple for me. His attitude is amazing and welcoming. The more I look at my tattoo, the more I love it. I highly recommend having him as your next tattoo artist. If I ever get another tattoo, I would definitely want it to be from him. 10/10 RECOMMEND!!!

Fantastic experience: Isaac V. was wonderful with getting our two young girls' ears pierced. He was patient, calm, and confident. I've used him for piercings before and I recommend him to everyone, especially for kids!

Negative experience: They want the quick easy work that they massively upcharge for. I asked about having a memorial piece from my sisters passing filled in with color and they were like ok. Said they had 3 people getting little tattoos and then proceeded to take every other walk in that wanted small quick easy tattoos ahead of me. These guys will price you out like they are ink masters but they aren't. Their work is not what I'd spend that kind of money on.

Negative experience: Let's start with the call for a piercing I got the estimate them went to the location the guy who does piercing wouldn't be in til 5, left came back they said 30 more mins but by this time other ppl were getting their stuff done. The told me to come back later ....again....I feel like they kindly refused to service me. Soooo...I do not recommend this place unless you are not of my descent...you may have a better experience if your not.

Negative experience: Called and got an amazing quote, asked if the time online for closing was correct at 12. The guy assured me yes. Arrived at 9:45 and all the artist had there back packs on ready to leave. Showed the gentleman a picture of what my wife wanted, just a simple heart said it would take too much time and they normally leave at 10. You guys should probably change your hours of operation online. Left this place and got to bonehead at 10:30. We were in and out by 11. Go to bonehead.

Fantastic experience: Isaac always does the best job piercing! So patient and precise with the placement you prefer. I got my eyebrow and second nostril in the same sitting. 10/10. Edit: was having some swelling problems with my eyebrow piercing so Isaac swapped the jewelry to a longer barbell for me, free of charge. Go see him!

Fantastic experience: I scheduled my appointment a month prior through Daniel Gerbis's contact Victoria. She was prompt in her response and made scheduling an appointment very easy. I know that scheduling two tattoos at one time is not a tattoo artists preferred path, but both Daniel and Victoria were very accommodating in allowing me to set up for two in one go. From entering the shop, it was clean and very open which honestly made talking with the staff very approachable. Daniel took a small outline of the borders for my previous tattoos (done by another artist) as to better fit the designs in said spots. After taking the time to draw them up, we were ready to go. Daniel took his time with placement, pulled clean lines, shaded, and colored! All while making sure I was comfortable. Overall, I was incredible pleased with how both tattoos came out! I will be coming back to Daniel for more in the future! Key take aways: Approachable/Accommodating/Well-priced

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved my experience here. The facility is very clean the staff is very kind and informative with how to care for your piercings and are even willing to teach you after the healing process is complete to change out the jewelry. I got my Daith pricing with Issac v. And absolutely love it!

Negative experience: Ryan Tattooed me on January 8th. It’s been a month. why does my tattoo look 50 years old?? I took care of it like I do all my other tattoos that look perfect. The line work is also poorly done as well as the shading Don’t go to this guy

Negative experience: Incredibly rude service from one of the guys who work there. I'm not sure who he is but he yelled at me upon my asking questions bc one of their piercers (whom has since been fired) pierced my helix through the fold last year & it won't heal. He told me I had no other choice but to take it out & have it re-done. I asked if he could accommodate some sort of discount given that info & proceeded to yell at me & jerked away the earrings I was looking at. I was looking at getting another piercing & tattoo. I'll never return here & will spread the word about this place & I've since taken my business elsewhere. I've never felt such humiliation from a place where I gave business & was returning to do so again. Be aware.

Fantastic experience: I came here with my sister and friend to get piercings. I got both sides of my nose pierced and my sister got her ear done. And Issac was the one that pierced us. He was real funny and truly made our experience comfortable knowing that we came in nervous and excited at the same time. He made sure that we were fully satisfied for how everything was being done. Fantastic experience: They were great, my wife got her first tattoo tonight and loved, Taylor did her work. I got one finished by Cameron he was great. We will most definitely be back for more.

Negative experience: Came in with my brother to get his first tattoo. When describing what he wanted, the artist was off-putting. For a small tattoo of a date and three words, the artist tries to charge us $150. When asked why the price was so high, the artist got very defensive and asked how old I was and proceeded to rant about how he was 40 years old (ok?) and doesn’t negotiate his price. I calmly tried to tell him I wasn’t trying to offend him and was told to go somewhere else. Guy was a real jackass. Anyways I would give them zero stars if I could, ruined a cool moment with my brother.

Fantastic experience: I got 3 different ear piercings done at the same time by Isaac. It was by far the best experience I’ve ever had getting pierced. Isaac was very professional, made me feel super comfortable, and the piercings themselves were practically painless. Definitely going back to this shop to see Isaac for future piercings. Excellent work!

Negative experience: Went in and got a butterfly done by a guy named Hue (I believe) for my 19th birthday. I called ahead to see if they could fit me in, they told me to come on down. When I showed him a picture of what I wanted he rolled his eyes and went to get the stencil done. He slammed it down on the counter for me to look at, I told him it looked kinda small and asked if he could go a little bigger. He rolled his eyes at me AGAIN and snatched the stencil off the counter and walked off frustrated. I felt uncomfortable and didn’t even want to get it done anymore. But my friend who came with me told me it would be fine and he might just be having a bad day. So I went ahead and got it anyways. $250 later and a horrible tattoo. After a little over 3 months of healing I called back to get it fixed because I wasn’t sure if another artist would work on top of someone else’s work. They asked me basic questions about if the scab is gone yet and if I’ve been keeping it clean. I told them the scab is off and it’s completely smooth, but they told me they won’t do it because 3ish months isn’t long enough to be healed. I was so aggravated. I decided to call another shop right up the street who is a LOT better to see if they were open to fix it. Luckily someone at the other shop fixed the mess that Royal 1 did and even added some flowers. They told me it healed nicely so I didn’t have to wait any longer to have it worked on. All of the artist at the shop that fixed it for me pointed out all of the mistakes that Royal 1 did. Keep in mind it’s a big tattoo that takes up my thigh. Even friends were pointing out how bad it was before I got it fixed. After being fixed I absolutely love it and have had no issues with it. But the tattoo Royal 1 did was awful and the artists are just straight up rude. I will say that the piercer is very sweet when I got my nose done there, but that’s about it. They honestly deserve 0 stars and if I could I would, but the piercer is the only redeeming thing I guess.

Fantastic experience: Got my septum pierced and it was by far the quickest, most painless piercing I have ever got. Issac was very professional and answered all our questions. I would definitely recommend getting pierced here!!

Fantastic experience: I have gotten all of my ink there for over 12 years and COUNTLESS hours of tattooing!!! My current artist the last few years has been JT ame is a true master at piecing my sleeve’s together, but all the artist there are great. I frequently get complimented on my ink by random people when I am out and about. If you want great, professional work, this is the place. Tattoos take a lot of time and a lot of patience. I have always liked that they will tell you what you NEED to hear, not necessarily what you want to hear.

Fantastic experience: Isaac is the best! Got my septum done a few months back at another shop in FTW, needless to say I took it out a month later. Isaac fixed me up and I am absolutely in love with my piercing. Super personable and clean, makes the entire experience so comfortable for the client, and super helpful when it comes to aftercare and any other questions you might have. Truly a hidden gem in the piercing world of DFW.

Fantastic experience: Isaac was pretty cool and professional. I posted a pic a few minutes after the piercing. Ill post another pic in a week or two once its healed. Paid $110 which seemed like a fair price for 2piercings with studs.

Fantastic experience: Walked in with an idea In my head but no idea how to put it all together cohesively. Jay Tee was super friendly from the start and drew up a piece that left me speechless. Only the first session in and I’m beyond ecstatic and can’t wait for the next session. The staff, atmosphere, and work can’t be compared to. Hands down the BEST place to go in Fort Worth for a custom piece.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t be more pleased! I’ve been going to Royal 1 Tattoo for years now , I’ve previously been tattooed by Cameron and Ryan, they are both great artists and I love all my tattoos from them, and as much as I’d love to brag about them both, the man of the hour today was Taylor , he was already set up at his station upon my arrival, he’s a kindred soul that talked me through the rough parts of the tattoo, he told a hilarious Star Wars joke that almost made me move, very light handed, gentle wiper, explained the process as he went, informing me of each step and what he was working on at the moment, he also spoke about his expansive funky shoe collection(be sure to ask him about it) , as well he mentioned new puppy problems, we all know how puppys can be little rascals sometimes hahahah, the tattoo is great, but honestly, now it’s just a souvenir from the time I spent with a new friend

Fantastic experience: Every single time that I have gone in there i have worked with Taylor he has always been very professional He takes pride in his work station very clean and precise and is always chill i recommend him to anyone i meet that wants a tattoo he is only person i will let do my tattoos my wife and i have been in few times to get tattoos he is coolest dude there is. if you ever have a bad experience with him im sure he wasnt the problem.
