Fantastic experience: Evolved is a class act! Got an amazing tattoo from Bob. He spent a lot of extra time, and adjusted the design multiple times, to make sure that the placement and size was exactly the way I wanted it. I have gotten a lot of tattoos, from the east coast to the west coast, and this was one of the best tattoo experiences I've ever had. Evolved Body Art, and Bob are highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I've been a faithful Evolved customer for over 20 years now. Mike Kerin has done all of my tattoos, and when he moved away for a while, I chose to stop getting tattoos instead of letting anyone else do them. Now that he's back, I'm feral for the return to ink and awesomeness. Even though I now live up near Cleveland, I make the 2+ hour drive just to see him. Currently, he's resurrecting a phoenix I had done 20ish years ago. It's freaking gorgeous and I cannot recommend him enough. The facility itself is clean, safety focused, and has a great vibe. I haven't interacted with any staff that I don't end up totally vibing with. This place deserves its status as numero uno in the Columbus tattoo scene.

Fantastic experience: I got a tattoo done here and it was the best experience i’ve ever had, I highly recommend if you’re looking to get a tattoo go to Wil, he is an amazing artist!

Positive experience: It is a very clean environment and the staff was friendly. I had a cover-up and new tattoo done over two sessions that were two weeks apart, one on the shoulder and one on the bicep, about 11 hours total. The artist did an excellent job of covering the old tattoo, even I am having a hard time telling where it is when looking at the cover-up. 4 stars because I emailed the artist with a few questions after the last session but never heard back. There are also a couple areas that will need to be reworked.

Negative experience: I have gotten several piercings from evolve! The staff was very friendly, and I won’t name the tattoo artist that did my tattoo! She was very friendly. I have many tattoo, and have never experienced a tattoo the way I did with this one. After I took the plastic covering off. I had puss coming out of my tattoo, and the scabs were so thick, redness around my arm. I almost went to er I was affraid I had an infection, and then when they fell off I had chunks of skin missing, and now I have a bunch of scars on my tattoo. I am not happy I payed $600 for this tattoo. I have paid $400 for a bigger better piece I had a bad feeling when I arrived due to being turned away by a few tattoo artist saying they couldn’t do the piece I wanted! This wasn’t what I actually requested in the beginning, but I was wanting a tattoo so bad I picked something the tattoo artist was comfortable with. I have like 20 tattoos, and have taken care of all of them the same way. I’m not sure what to even do at this point with this, again the staff was friendly I would go back for a piecing, but not a tattoo ever again:(

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience here! This is now my second visit and I've gotten a septum piercing and both nostrils done — the former with Nick Strange and the latter with Javier. A++++ professionals! Everyone there is helpful and they have a great selection of jewelry as well.

Fantastic experience: Never have I ever ran to write a review so quickly!!! Holly was beyond professional, friendly, caring and compassionate. There is going the extra mile, then there’s Holly. I woke up with my old dermal/surface anchor rejecting, pierced at a different location in CT. I was frantically looking for a place to help me remove it as it was hanging halfway out of my face. After a few google searches I came across Evolved! I walked in and they took me in 10 minutes. I got a new CZ topper for my threadless nose stud while I waited. Holly took me in and worked on removing the old dermal/surface anchor, it had to be slightly cut as it was still grafted into my skin. After removal, we waited a few minutes as the area was feeling pretty raw. Following through with the new surface anchor/dermal, she performed the piercing so swiftly! Now I’ve had this piercing done 4 times now, so I have a good idea at how it at least feels. She was quick and seamless. There is no other spot in Columbus you’ll find me at for my next piercing. Holly knows EXACTLY what she is doing, she’s educated and clearly passionate about what she does. She made me feel so comfortable and safe, let me stick around for a bit after to regain my footing. Thanks again Holly :) See you in April! UPDATE: After recent events surfaced, I would ONLY recommend JollyHolly the piercer that has branched out from Evolved. Avoid this place at all costs…

Fantastic experience: Love this place! I’ve been going here for a couple years now and will always love this location. My fiancé and I went in with a tattoo idea that was very unusual. We described it to our artist Mike who perfectly created our vision. Absolutely loved his art and his overall vibe. Will be returning to see him in the future.

Fantastic experience: I came in for a piercing for my birthday after much self-induced confusion involving going to the wrong location and being very late, and in my rush, not checking beforehand about if this location had stairs. As I use a wheelchair this threw quite a wrench in things, I was very close to calling it quits, but with encouragement from my partners and the empathy of the staff I moved forward. The staff was very apologetic and accommodating, my piercer Holly was super friendly, kind, and an exceptional piercer. I recommend anyone looking to get a piercing visit this location, the kindness show to me by everyone I spoke to really helped make my birthday special. Thanks again for a wonderful birthday!

Fantastic experience: About a year ago I had a cover-up done by Luka. I had been looking for years for someone who had both the style and talent I felt matched my needs and I finally found it with Luka. I needed something very specific, blackwork, a classical art piece that involved an animal, along with some floral elements and when I saw their style I just knew they were the artist I was looking for. A year later the tattoo looks incredible. They interpreted my vision perfectly with their style and no one can tell it is a cover-up piece. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Luka and Evolved!

Fantastic experience: This Evolved location is a cut above. Outstanding staff and all the artists do fantastic work. Friendly and inviting atmosphere. I’ve been here twice for full day work and the interesting conversation topics never end. My tattoo artist Bob is talented and he does a great job of working with your ideas and giving valuable feedback.

Negative experience: Removed photo consent with kyle October 2nd and it took months before everything was sorted out and taken down. They lack professionalism and human respect in my experience. I've went 5+ hour sessions with little to no convo. Felt intimidated by them and ended up walking as a client with unfinished pieces. Don't recommend at all.

Fantastic experience: the workers were super nice to us and everything went smoothly!! My piercings have also all healed very well and the actual piercing process was super painless

Fantastic experience: Stopped in for a walk-in conch piercing. Not only was I in and out in 30 minutes, but Nick did such a good job. Quite literally the fastest piercings I’ve ever had done with very minimal pain. He was so nice and did such a great job. I didn’t catch the woman at the front counters name, but she was also amazing with helping me get checked in and pick out which jewelry I wanted. If I didn’t live in a different state, I would come only here from now on for piercings!

Fantastic experience: I came in on a Sunday for an emergency. I had gone to a tattoo/piercing shop close to my house in Westerville, and had a flat and a conch piercing done in my left ear. My conch piercing was really infected, so much so that the ball of the back of my piercing was being swallowed by my ear. Holly took GREAT care of me. She got me the proper jewerly (my initial piercing was too small for the swelling in my ear), and she educated me on proper aftercare. Without her, I'd still be feeling horrible, and I'd still have a raging infection in my piercing. I already know I'll be coming to her for my rook piercing when the time comes for that!

Fantastic experience: Evolved never fails to provide exceptional customer service and experience. Making an appointment online will definitely save you some time. The techs are patient and willing to answer any and all questions.

Negative experience: Went in to get a simple piercing change, waited for an hour even though I had an appointment, and when they finally called me up they said the naval rings/diamonds were $550So insane. They should be $100 max. Waste of time

Fantastic experience: I got a tattoo from Luka last month and it was honestly the most wonderful experience. It's my largest tattoo to date and they made sure I was comfortable and happy during the session. The design is beautiful and they worked with me to ensure it was exactly what I was looking for! Finally the aftercare instructions were thorough and clear. 11/10 would visit again.

Fantastic experience: I went in on Friday the 13th for discount piercings and was very happy with my work. I got my lips pierced and they healed very quickly and nicely! They also handled the large amount of people like pro’s, very efficient.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service! My friend and I went to get earlobe piercings done together and we both loved what we got. The staff there were very friendly and patient with us as we selected our earrings and made sure we were happy with the placings of the piercings.

Negative experience: I've been to Evolved for several piercings, namely my navel and third lobe. After piercing my navel, they realized they had grabbed the wrong jewelry and put in a ring that I had not selected. They apologized but could not re-pierce it and I had to settle for jewelry other than the one I requested. Most recently, when piercing my third lobes, my piercer noticed he did them unevenly and told me he would have to redo my right lobe. While piercing it again (within minutes of the first attempt), he created a different hole in the front but went through the same hole in the back of my ear, causing it to be just as crooked as before. My piercing became extremely swollen and painful within 24 hours, likely due to the repeat trauma. When I noticed it was still crooked and went back to have it looked at by a different piercer, they seemed concerned about who had even done the first one as it looked so inflamed. They ultimately had to take the piercing out, though they gave me a voucher to get it redone for free once the holes had healed. While letting my right ear heal, my left ear started to become increasingly irritated and painful despite ensuring I did not sleep or apply any pressure on it. A friend looked at it and noticed an unusual earring back that was so small in circumference it had fit through the hole in my ear and left an open sore that months later, has still not healed. It was almost as if I could pull the entire earring and its back out through the front of my ear. I went back to Evolved to see if they could change the back, and they were very rude and dismissive of me the entire time before letting me know they could only so do at an additional fee. They showed absolutely no concern for the results of their work and were almost stand-offish as if my own concerns were bothersome for them to even deal with. While I also requested a refund for the first ear, as I do not plan on having it redone by them due to repeated failed piercing attempts, they told me they could not do refunds of any kind and my only choice is to re-pierce it. This is understandable, though I am disappointed in this policy as it applies here considering my concerns (alongside the piercing being removed) are because of way the piercing was done in the first place. I am also nervous to re-pierce here as I have had a myriad of negative experiences with their staff and my results. I would not suggest going here without doing extensive research on your piercer. I'm not sure how a simple lobe piercing could become so complicated to correct.

Negative experience: People are nice but very slow to provide service. Also, the jewelry is very overpriced. A couple days after my piercing, my ear became super swollen. I went in and they kinda dismissed my problems. Another three weeks goes by and I have a big bump by the piercing. I go in again, and they won’t look at it because the piercer isn’t there. Flash forward another week, I’m in urgent care with an infection the doctors believe to be from the piercing. Obviously you can’t be sure it’s from the piercing, but the dismissal by employees, and the amount of money spent, I’m super disappointed. I have multiple piercings. Nose, many on my lobe, and my belly button, and I’ve never had issues like this. I will attach pictures of the infection, but beware, graphic! Not to mention, the environment is a tad unprofessional. You will walk in and employees will stare at you outside while smoking. I do not recommend!

Fantastic experience: Hello! I had a piercing appointment with Batt today. Overall the experience was very nice and professional! The appointment took about 30-40 minutes and that was on a busy day on OSU campus! They explained everything they were going to do before they did anything with my body and even asked for my consent before they did anything. They were very respectful and knowledgeable to any questions I had and also very polite and responsive with any tweaks I wanted with the placement on my body! I was comfortable the whole time and I definitely reccomend them for any future piercings!

Negative experience: Gonna be honest, I had a pretty bad experience when getting my tattoo. I’ve gotten all my piercings from this place and have had an amazing experience. They are clean, professional, and usually friendly. However, I went in for my first tattoo with them and was clearly being overcharged. $150 for a small quote tattoo… the artist claimed the tattoo would take 1&1/2 hours when it would clearly only take him 10-15 minutes… I just felt like I was being taken advantage of when it came to the pricing. The artist would not show me his flash book of tattoos that would fit into my “budget”. I was threatened with having my non-refundable deposit forfeited when I decided that I no longer wanted to get tattooed by the guy… Overall, it just wasn’t a great time nor environment. I would only go here if you want some flashy huge piece that the artists feel like is worth their time. The photo attached is what I ended up getting instead of the quote since it wasn’t in my “budget”. $100 smiley face tattoo

Fantastic experience: I got a tattoo with Luka in July, and it was truly one of the most delightful experiences of my adult life. Not only is Luka an incredibly talented artist, but they are such a kind and considerate person. During our initial consultation, they took the time to walk me through their process, and gave me an accurate estimate of time and price. On the day of the appointment, they made sure that I was 100% happy with the design and placement before getting to work. They checked in with me regularly, and made sure we took breaks to stretch, hydrate, use the restroom, etc. They were so personable and fun to chat with, and I felt perfectly comfortable in their care through the whole tattooing process. I now have a beautiful piece of art on my body that I will cherish not only for the work itself, but for the lovely experience of working with Luka. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: I've been to Evolved twice for both a tattoo and piercing. I've had great experiences both times. Today I went for a walk in tattoo and they got me in within 30 minutes. The artist, Joe, was very kind and knowledgeable about what he was doing. My tattoo was finished within 15 minutes and I was out of there. It was a bit pricey for what I got done, but not only did I just walk in, it's also Columbus which is pretty notorious for being expensive. I have no issues with the cost as that was what I was expecting but if you're thinking about just walking in, be prepared to spend at least $200. All together, great place with good staff.

Fantastic experience: I scheduled an ear curation for my 17yo daughter. Holly was great to work with and really helped my daughter layout what would look best for her ears. Holly pierced my daughter's conch and daith and helped her pick out some great jewelry! We highly recommend Holly who is at the 1980 N. High

Fantastic experience: I cannot imagine working with a more perfect artist than Luka @ Evolved for my last tattoo! When I approached them with the initial concept (a personal take on a classic literary scene) they were excited and assigned thoughtful homework to ensure they understood what was important to me in the design. The consultation and booking process were easy to complete virtually. The piece was scheduled to take 2 full days of tattooing spaced 4 weeks apart, both of which were scheduled up front making planning easy. When a true emergency impacted our schedules for the 2nd session, Luka was great about getting us rescheduled for a later date. When the day arrived and I finally got to see the design I was floored by how well it turned out. Luka created a truly unique illustration that went beyond my expectations for the piece. They took great care to make sure we were both happy with the placement and all the elements before getting started. Luka made being in the chair as pleasant as possible throughout our sessions. They created a safe space that was very clean and comfortable, and offered breaks as needed to ensure we both felt our best. I also enjoyed our chatter when I wasn’t trying to tune out and ignore the pain. The second session took place in their new Evolved studio on Hudson and the space is so cool! Definitely appreciated being surrounded by fun art and being able to get fantastic coffee and snacks at the coffee shop on the 1st floor (Casa Cacao). I’ve followed several different aftercare routines over the years, but the bandages/care instructions Luka provided worked best by far! For a highly detailed piece the covers my leg from knee to ankle, I was surprised by how well the healing process went. If you’re looking for an artist who can transform an idea into a magical design and provide a safe and positive experience in the process, Luka is your person!

Fantastic experience: Got my belly button pierced here and my experience was amazing! I originally had an appointment somewhere else and it ended up not working out so we went to Evolved and they got me in quick and the piercer was excellent. He walked me through everything and was very calm and reassuring. Super nice people, very clean, and my piercing looks great. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Nick pierced our 5 year old daughter’s ear lobes yesterday and was AMAZING! He explained everything he was doing so she knew what to expect, and kept her giggling the whole time! She didn’t even flinch when he pierced her! 10/10 recommend taking your kiddos here for quality piercers and jewelry!

Fantastic experience: This was my first tattoo and Joe made it one the best I could have asked for. It was a Mother’s Day outing with my 2 dtrs. The vibe the care to details down to choice of music and wonderful conversation was definitely way above my expectation. He was a perfect match for us. To top off our stay one of my dtrs and I also got an ear piercing. Clair was so patient and explained everything. Her warm personality was a breath of fresh air. All of my reservations were met with genuine concern and care. They made our day perfect. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience. Your shop is #1 in my book!

Negative experience: I usually prefer this location because the piercers here are so sweet, but I was very disappointed last time I came here as I had to wait well over an hour past my appointment time. I was told there were complicated scheduled piercings before mine which held things up, but I saw walk-ins still getting called in before me when my appointment was over 40 minutes late already. At this point I suspect they were eager to prioritize walk ins to make more $$$ and make me wait since I already committed to an appointment. As someone with a disability with sensory issues, having an appointment time was meant to make this experience accessible for me. I feel taken advantage of and will not be returning to this business.

Fantastic experience: Such a long story as to why I waited until I turned 50 to begin my piercings journey and I won't bore you with the details. Nonetheless, it's been a yearly event that was almost compromised by a recent surgery where I thought my piercings were closed. Right after surgery I drove over to Evolved as a walk-in and they were kind and quick and got my piercings "all the way together". Thank You for the "All In the Family" treatment, but also expert care. Just an additional note .. I was asked about my pronouns to which I answered with hesitation. Im a bit old school now and my response was not swift. I ABSOLUTELY love that your entire business culture is about being respectful and inclusive in everyway. I know it's more than just a business culture it is who you all are. This reaffirms my choice of being an Evolved customer.

Fantastic experience: My 17 year old daughter wanted her septum pierced for her birthday & I am so glad we chose this place. I've been pierced at another shop in Columbus and it was $25 less here for the piercing. They had a really nice, big selection of jewelry. First thing I noticed was all the cool artwork all over the place & the amazing tattoo photos on the walls. Second, as soon as we walked in, we were greeted by friendly & helpful employees, who gave us their opinions & ample information about the process, even though they were busy. Just really cool, welcoming people everywhere. Third, I noticed customers were seemingly relaxed & happy-all smiling & chatting...Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, all different races, types & cultures, all getting tattoos or piercings, all enjoying themselves & just giving good vibes all around. So if inclusivity is important to you, this is the place to go. I loved the welcoming atmosphere. Wish I could remember the name of the guy who pierced my daughter...he was laid back, funny and professional. We'll definitely be back! Oh yeah, if you're interested in piercings, they have a great deal if you get it done on your birthday. Highly recommend checking them out

Fantastic experience: These people are literally the best. I’ve been here multiple times and have always had the best experience. They try their best to accommodate walk - ins. All the piercers have treated me with such respect and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable with the whole process. They pretty much tell you each step they are doing and are great with consent! The attendants at the front desk are just as cool. They will help you find what you are looking for and work with you if you’re looking in a certain price range. They’re honest about how things will look and their suggestions. So helpful, and so nice!

Fantastic experience: I've seriously had amazing experiences at the Summit location. Everybody is so sweet, welcoming, and accommodating, even when they've had a steady streamline of constant busyness all weekend and they've just gotta be understandably exhausted. An apprentice actually gave me the wrong downsizing jewelry once and I can still say I had a very sweet experience with her and would still tip. These are amazing people with an awesome community and an all around great environment. Love going back to support.

Negative experience: You can “book an appointment” but they will book you with someone who doesn’t do a specific body part (my foot??), make you wait HOURS after your APPOINTMENT time while walk-ins go back before you, and they ALWAYS charge more than what they quote you at booking. May be “convenient” to book online, but I am never taking my body and business here again. What a waste of time and expense.

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience at Evolved yet again! Luka was amazing! There were so many things I enjoyed about the experience! Luka created a beautiful design, that was beyond what I was expecting! They were ready with their design, so we were able to start the appointment quickly. They were friendly, well-prepared, and considerate, asking if I needed a break often (which I appreciated)! Afterward, they were able to apply the second skin bandage perfectly. I am excited to go back to Luka for my second appointment!

Fantastic experience: I will never get a tattoo by anyone other than Luka Weinberger at Evolved Body Art. My wife and I had the best possible experience when getting a conceptual couple's tattoo that commemorates the beginning and the journey of our relationship. Luka Interviewed us together to figure out information about us individually and as a couple to create the most meaningful tattoo we've ever had. Their professionalism, their interviewing, their extreme artistic and conceptual talent, and their attention to detail makes Luka the most authentic, talented, and humble tattoo artist we have ever worked with. My list of tattoos I want to get done by Luka Weinberger just keeps growing. We can't wait for our next ones!

Fantastic experience: i got my eyebrow pierced here for my 18th birthday almost 6 months ago by nick and its healed well. it was my first face piercing and i was so chatty but he was patient with me. It was painless and quick, i love my eyebrow piercing so much!! going to get my septum done tomorrow and i will let you guys know if that piercing goes as smoothly as my eyebrow. edit: Javi did my septum and he was so kind and it was painless! love this place

Fantastic experience: Got my tragus and upper helix pierced by jax. They did great! I was super nervous but they made sure to explain step by step of what the process was. Super happy with my new piercings.

Fantastic experience: This is a GREAT tattoo & piercing shop! The staff is incredibly friendly and inclusive. They’re clear communicators about everything, like safety & hygiene and what to expect during your visit. I was instantly greeted as soon as I walked through the doors and saw the store counter. It was a Sunday, and the shop was a little busy, but I was still greeted with a smile and immediate direction as to what I needed to do. I was there for a tattoo with Bob (who is very talented and kind!), and I felt welcomed, comfortable, and safe before, during, and after my visit. While I was there, I witnessed multiple customers walk in and be immediately greeted, as well. If you experience a wait here, I’m sure that’s normal, as this staff takes pride in ensuring each individual gets their needs met in a respectful and timely manner! They don’t rush through their work, and I don’t think we’d want them to! I have 5 tattoos, all from different tattoo shops. I don’t typically like the vibes in tattoo shops and I’ve never been attracted to one enough to go back a second time; however, I can truly say that my experience here was the BEST EXPERIENCE I’ve ever had in a tattoo shop BY FAR! Seriously. Evolved keeps a great, up-to-date presence on social media, so I’d recommend checking out their Instagram page to see what their talented tattoo artists and professional piercers have been up to. What also attracted me to Evolved was their diverse line-up of tattoo artists. This shop has several artists to choose from. I’d say that you will most likely find an artist here that fits your style and vision! If I get another tattoo in the future, I’ll want it to be here, no question. No matter who you are or how you identify, you will be welcomed here.

Fantastic experience: I got a tattoo with Luka, and was absolutely blown away by their art and skill. I gave them some reference photos and a description, and then showed up and their prepared design actually made me tear up, it was so exactly what I wanted. They were great at communicating, letting me know what to expect, how long things would take, etc. It's so clear that tattooing is a passion for Luka, not just a job, and that they really care about their clients. They went above and beyond to make a piece for me that was beautiful, detailed, and stunning. The other staff in the store were pleasant and helpful.

This was the largest piece I've got so far and I was a bit nervous, but Luka was very comforting and went above and beyond to make the whole process as comfortable as possible. They're commitment and dedication to tattooing was amazing to witness; Luka is an amazing artist and I'm honored to have their work on me!!

Fantastic experience: Luka did a STUNNING job on this piece for me. Not only did they do some great research on local plants but they even used their own garden for inspiration and I just think that was a really cool personal touch! They were really encouraging during the more sensitive parts of the tattoo and had some playful banter to help lighten my mood (we made a bit of a game out of them guessing what tune I was humming to get me through the ankle portion ). One of my best tattoo experiences so far: I felt very comfortable, welcomed, and genuinely enjoyed my time there. Luka had such great communication from the booking process through the end of my sessions when discussing aftercare and I think it ended up healing really well (boot picture is fully healed). 10/10 recommend them for anyone who wants a truly enjoyable experience!

Fantastic experience: I have gotten two tattoos done by LUKA and they have always been so good to me. The first appointment I had with them was a walk in and a very simple chemical structure I had drawn on a piece of paper. They drew up a refined design within minutes and were so patient and approachable. All the aftercare instructions were very clear and my tattoo looks amazing to this day. I recently went back a couple months ago to get a planned piece on my forearm and WOW. I again gave them a junky hand drawn design and when I say I was blown away at the design Luka had refined for me… I feel like the consultation process was amazing and they really listened to what type of aesthetic I was trying to achieve. The booking process was easy and day of instructions were sent out prior to the appointment of what to do and what to expect before/on tattoo day. When we sat down I saw the final sketch and Luka STILL asked me if I wanted to add/change anything as well as explaining their thought process of the design. We ended up adding a hidden constellation and Luka whipped it up on their iPad before printing the final stencil. Everything was sterile and clean, I remember them switching gloves because they had to move a cord out from under their chair. As a nurse myself I was impressed they realized that their gloves were now dirty and to change them! They were caring, funny and able to make me feel relaxed during my appointment. Checking in frequently to make sure I didn’t need a break or anything. Aftercare instructions were again clean and precise. I feel like they really cared for me as a person as well as having an amazing passion for their art. Their work is so detailed and I have many fine lines and dots within my tattoo and everything always turns out so crisp and nothing is ever blown out or fuzzy. I get so many compliments on my pieces. I will 100% always recommend Luka and will always trust them to give me the best tattoo experience and beautiful artwork on my body!! THANK YOU LUKA!!!

Fantastic experience: Clair pierced my daith and I had an incredible experience!!! I felt no pain and the whole process was done within less than a minute. A total pro!! Will go back to them in the future for sure!!

Negative experience: My aunt and I came about a month ago a few people were already in there and we waited our turn. Then someone else walked in and got seen before us. As a black person i did not feel comfortable at all. They were completely ignoring us until we got up and just canceled. If you’re an African- American and want to feel comfortable i WOULD NOT recommend this location.

Fantastic experience: Came in with my friend today. I got a septum and she got a nostril piercing. We both love how it looks very much and we were very happy with the service and kindness within the shop. I've also been to a different location in the past for a tattoo that still looks great and highly recommend Evolved.

Negative experience: SUPER PISSED!! Came in from Cincinnati to get a tattoo with son. Corresponded with one of the artists since the beginning of September. When I got into town, they didn’t have an appointment for us. When we spoke to the booking service, she told us WE should have contacted them! I’m sorry, but if I’m paying YOU, you should be contacting me.

Fantastic experience: This is my third piercing from Evolved and second done by Holly! To start, the atmosphere of Evolved is awesome. Everyone is super friendly, understanding, and helpful! The studio is clean but has so much personality. Holly is an AMAZING piercer. She’s so friendly and relaxed. She talks through everything with you and her bedside manner is super calming. She works quickly and efficiently and does such a great job! I absolutely would recommend her to anyone looking to get a piercing.

Fantastic experience: Evolved did such an amazing job with my daughter’s ear piercings! She was really nervous and had a hard time picking out her jewelry, but the staff was so kind and patient - didn’t pressure her at all to hurry or just pick something. They talked her through everything, let her take time when needed - seriously couldn’t have asked for a better experience! And we’ve had absolutely no issues with her ears whatsoever - no redness or swelling… they’re healing perfectly.

Fantastic experience: originally went to the other evolved shop in hopes of getting walk-in tattoos done for three of us floridans while we were visiting for a music festival. even though the other location didn’t have availability, they told us about this location and said a artist over here Giro was a better artists for what we wanted. and i’m glad we went through. 1980 was super clean and had such a badass atmosphere. they had so many amazing options for jewelry too i almost wanted a tattoo and piercing. Giro, who was like a guest artist, did my new badass scorpion from his flash and i love it. he was light handed and i almost dozed off i didn’t feel much. def one of my easiest tattoos so far. he was really chill and took his time to get every detail. he gave size options, and fixed things if someone didn’t like something with no issue, unlike some other artists who get mad when they want to change something. would def come again

Fantastic experience: I've gotten pierced here multiple times and it's always been a pleasant experience. I've had three different piercers and they all made me feel comfortable and welcome. I also appreciate that they ask you for your pronouns during check in. I also had an issue putting in new jewelry for one of my piercings and I was able to walk in without an appointment and have someone help me, free of charge, even though I bought the jewelry somewhere else. All around a great shop!

Fantastic experience: Jax did such an amazing job on my septum piercing today! Honestly they made me feel so safe and comfortable I cried at how happy I was feeling confident with my septum. Fantastic experience: Very clean facility and workers are experienced. I only got my earlobes pierced today, but Nick has a very calming manner and made sure I knew what was going to happen during the piercing process, as well as how to care for it after. Will be going here for more piercings and tattoos in the future. The one thing I could say is that I think for what I got, it was a tad bit overpriced. Otherwise great experience Update: It has been 5 months since I got the piercing. I haven’t exactly followed the suggestion of the piercer as far as not changing my jewelry for 6 months, but I began changing it around the 4 month mark. It has healed/is healing SUPER well! Just make sure you really clean the area very very well every single day, and do not leave the hole empty for extended periods of time until it has FULLY healed.

Fantastic experience: Amanda did my first ever piercing back in 2019. She's extremely relatable and kind. I'd love to go back to this location just to have her be my piercer. She did my right nostril, asked me if I planned on switching my original stud to a hoop one day, and was perfect on the piercing placement. She went over the piercing care, gave me a business card (that I actually kept for years lol), and just made me feel comfortable overall. I really do love this location in general but she's definitely the highlight of my first visit.

Fantastic experience: Selecting a tattoo artist can be challenging. Not only are there many to choose from, but most specialize in certain artistic styles. In my case, my daughter chose an artist for me , Charity Oetgen, based on the positive experience she and her husband had with Charity in the past. My complete experience with Charity has been very satisfying. From sharing ideas, reviewing sketches, to actual tattooing, she has been very thorough and professional. Perhaps most importantly, I've seen my tattoo vision come to life on my body through Charity's art, and can't say enough how please I am with her work.

Fantastic experience: Love my tattoo. Not fully healed yet but it's so pretty the line work is perfect, the shading isn't spotty, and my artist was very understanding when I told him my budget (even lowered the price a good amount too). It was my first tattoo so I was kind of worried about how my body would react but all was perfect. I definitely recommend this place to my friends when they mention a new tat. Will try to update when it's all healed.

Fantastic experience: Here's the thing about Luka: their artwork as a tattooer is impeccable, but that's only maybe 50% of what makes them so incredible to work with. Their energy is so calm and grounded; they are kind and considerate and trauma-informed; they put so much research into the work they do; they are incredibly gentle and responsible with their interactions. When I had to cancel recently because I was dealing with illness, Luka was incredibly fair with managing their cancellation policy because they wanted to be sure my body would heal well after getting my tattoo. Last time I was in for a piece with them, another artist started talking about a potentially triggering topic and Luka immediately asked them to hold that conversation until there weren't clients around so the space continued to feel safe for everyone present. I cannot recommend Luka enough, particularly if you are a person who needs to feel safe and heard and taken care of as part of your tattoo journey. They are a breath of fresh air amongst peers in the field who often still have a tendency toward boys club attitudes.

Positive experience: I live 2 hours away. I was planning on meeting my friend for a minimalistic flower tattoo, but it was just SO expensive. There are places closer to me that are professional, clean, and much cheaper than Evolved. That being said, they were very prompt responding to my appointment request and answering questions.

Fantastic experience: I have been debating my first tattoo for a few years and found Luka at Evolve Body Art to help me conceptualize it. I know I wanted a larger piece and certain design elements. They made the design process easy to understand and why certain areas worked or didn’t based on flow of design, perspective, or just overall best practices for a better looking tattoo. They were excited from the beginning and were patient and understanding with my questions as a first timer and when I wanted some elements tweaked for my preferences. I honestly recommend them if you are debating a first tattoo large or small (full side thigh piece for me). They were great the entire process from design, to chair, to after care. They were well worth the wait for their book to open. If you are looking for a great artist and person in the cbus area, Luka has you covered.

Fantastic experience: I went in one afternoon to get my nose piercing jewelry changed. The jewelry used when I got it pierced (out of town) was causing some irritation. From the moment I arrived I was treated with respect. Janine was behind the counter and she told me about the jewelry they have and helped me choose what I wanted. Jaxx changed out the jewelry for me and he was wonderful. He took his time to explain how I should care for my piercing and said not to hesitate to call if I needed anything. It's been 4 days, and the jewelry has made a significant difference. No irritation at all. If you're in the market for a jewelry change or piercing, please go see these wonderful people!

Fantastic experience: My piercer was Batt! My nose piercing was the first piercing I’ve ever gotten, and I was so nervous going into it. I’ve heard the pain isn’t terrible but was still super shaky walking into the room. I was welcomed by the sweet people at the desk, and Batt welcomed me back with a smiling face. They walked me through everything and were so kind. They told me everything that was about to happen, asked me if I had any questions, and just all around a great human. I would recommend them to ANYONE! I will be sure to tell my friends, because it was over before I even felt anything. I consider myself to have a low pain tolerance and have a huge fear of needles, but they calmed my nerves and I’m so happy with how my nose piercing turned out! Reasonable prices, friendly atmosphere, great selection, and I assure you that you’ll love what you get. Thank you so much!!

Negative experience: Really hate to leave a 1 star but unfortunately I must A gentleman named Chris over charged my 18 year old daughter who was a bit Naïve granted but I really thought this place was reputable. He charged her $400 for a 45 minute tattoo and to be completely honest the quality of the tattoo is average and $400 an hour for his work is border line criminal. I really would like someone at evolved to reach out and make this right because I feel Chris took advantage of a young lady who might I add has used evolved before. Regards

Fantastic experience: I went here on my birthday to get my first piercing (septum). My piercer was Clair, she was kind and did an awesome job! She explained things thoroughly and gave advice on how to keep the piercing clean afterwards. The rest of the staff is super nice as well! Definitely recommend! I also got a nice birthday discount!

Fantastic experience: I was incredibly nervous to get my nose pierced, but Jaxx was so great! He took his time and walked me through every step, and answered all my questions. I knew I was making things run a bit later than scheduled, but he never made me feel rushed and wanted to sure I was feeling alright walking out of the shop. Quick and efficient, he was fantastic. Definitely will be back for my next piercing!

Negative experience: Scheduled an appointment 3-4 weeks out. I wanted to get something simple and easy to put on my leg. Just line work. no shading, no color…….just line work. I got there early around 4:35pm to prepare for my 5PM appointment …….I sat there till 7:15-7:20pm to finally take a seat. (reminding you the store closes at 8pm) so I expect him to take his time with this but NO…..my tattoo gets rushed so he can make it out at 8pm. It doesn’t even come close to the picture I wanted! They quoted me at $400-$500 first, then $200-$300…… BUT he charged me $50 because I already put $100 down….. SO I waited hours to finally sit down and get my FIRST tattoo botched all for $150…….Don’t even bother here. They know how to do piercings but tats are not one of them. Very unhappy and unpleased with the tattoo I received. Wish I could show pics but it won’t let me.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a tragus piercing and figured it would not work with my hearing aids. Decided on a helix and upper lobe. Holly was so so good!! She had an apprentice with her who marked the location. They were so meticulous with the placement. Holly did the piercing. She talked me through every step, her voice was soothing and reassuring. Explained the aftercare thoroughly… will be back after these heal up a bit for my left ear.

Fantastic experience: All the employees were very nice. I took my daughter to get her nose pierced for her birthday. The piercing itself was free since it was her birthday which was awesome and Holly greeted us and introduced herself. She was so awesome we will definitely be back and definitely recommend everyone to go there!

Positive experience: First tattoo!!! Will did an amazing job! First of all, I loved the environment and the artists were fun to be around! I wasn't much of a talker and I was feeling very nervous, but Will made me feel comfortable there. We had to tweak the lettering due to possible ink smudging with the white color, but I didn't mind that. He did forget a small detail on the bear's feet, but was kind enough to give me $100 off! Overall, it still came out super cute and I'm happy with it!
