Everyone I’ve come in contact with has been friendly and welcoming. The front staff greets everyone as they walk in and are always patient and kind. The whole environment makes you feel comfortable.

Negative experience: The design on the left is what I asked for and the one on the right is the result I received. I paid $350 for this tattoo, and I am very disappointed with the outcome. The final piece does not reflect the level of detail, precision, or quality shown in the reference image. The lines appear uneven, and the overall finish looks incomplete. The tattoo resembles a light pencil sketch rather than a finished, professional piece. I felt uncomfortable speaking up initially and assumed the appearance would improve after healing, but the result remained the same. Due to my dissatisfaction with the result, I will be moving forward with a cover-up done by another artist. I will not be returning. Based on my experience, I believe the artist would benefit from further practice. Tattoos are permanent, and the quality of work must reflect that responsibility.

Fantastic experience: First off the vibes at this studio are the best vibes ever. They have a great group of artists and you just feel at home. Now to go-off on the incredibly talented Corinna Sayward (@corinnaelise.tattoos). I booked her for the first time back in September because I was going to be in VB for the weekend (I live in NJ). We immediately hit it off and I was blown away by her talent that I rebooked with her 2 months later. I told her my concept and the inspiration but had no photos to back it up. I gave her complete creative liberty with a rough guideline of where I wanted it and how big. What she created was as if she took up residency in my head. She drew exactly what I was thinking and her execution was FLAWLESS. It took approx 2hrs and it looked phenomenal when she was done(it still looked phenomenal)!! The healing process was one of the easiest ones for both of my tattoos done by her and truly highlights her expertise and knowledge. Everyday I look at my tattoos by her and am just constantly blown away. My biggest complaint is that she's based in VB. But honestly the 7hr drive to her is worth it!! She does also travel and do residencies. She also is just a genuinely dope human being who provides great conversation to pass the time. Also can I just say incredibly affordable! Corinna always has stuck within budget for me and honestly everytime I go to pay am shocked that she isn't more for how talented she is (which is fine means I can tip her more).

Sam is by far my favorite artist, not just for her ability but she is an incredible woman and we have such a good time together. The first tattoo she did on me was a memorial piece shortly after I lost my mother, she was very sweet and I knew she genuinely cared. Thankful I met her and will be going to her for a long time to come

Fantastic experience: I got a big back piece fine line flowers, and shoulder piece fine line aswell. it takes an amazing artist to be able to have such a steady hand with such a tiny needle. Vii did an absolutely amazing job and she saw my vision and immediately put it on paper. I am completely in love with my tattoo and service that i received from Vii. Fantastic experience: My husband and I went to see Vii! A few weeks ago i called in to find an artist who does finger tattoos and who could get there early, we drive over an hour to get there. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with art and friendly faces which is awesome! We were immediately taken care of and answered all our questions. Vii came over in the most awesome hair!! Rainbows and also gave us smiles. We showed her our inspo. She came back with several ideas! During the process. She made it very comfortable and she was not heavy handed which was awesome!! My husband and i had a blast getting matching wedding ring tattoos. Vi’s station was very clean, she was a professional, she was a great communicator! Every needs a tattoo from Vii! Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I decided to get tattoos for our anniversary, he saw Vii and I saw Kasey May. This is the first tattoo that I have ever had and when I tell you that I could not have dreamed of a better first time tattoo experience, I mean it! After looking at her Instagram, I told Kasey May that I trusted her creativity and gave her two reference photos, a lily of the valley and little ghostie flowers. When she showed me what she came up with, I could have cried! It was better than anything I could have imagined! We tweaked the color and that was it. She walked me through the entire process, made sure I was comfortable throughout, gave me breaks when needed and she was so friendly and fun! I feel like we were just vibing, she has that good energy! I know I chose the literal perfect artist for my first tattoo and I cannot thank you enough, Kasey May and Studio Evolve! I'm already mentally planning my next visit lol

Fantastic experience: 5 stars all around. My cousin and I called in the morning if they had space to take both of us as walk ins and to my surprise they said yes. We walked in and I immediately felt welcomed. The receptionist that helped us out was very kind and even offered us coffee, tea, water, etc. Flaco was our tattoo artist and I have nothing but nice things to say. He also had an apprentice, shoutout Ally! The vibe was just amazing and we had wonderful conversations with people getting their tattoos and other artists. Our tattoo and the overall appointment exceeded our expectations. I will definitely be back here when I'm in VA =)

Fantastic experience: Out of the 5 or 6 shops I've been to over the years, Studio Evolve goes above and beyond expectations. Award winning for a reason! Studio is clean and sanitary. The receptionists are prompt and helpful. They will confirm your availability and give reminders as your tattoo appointment approaches. My artist, Kevin, completed 2 major pieces on me. He was kind, funny, and obviously extremely talented! I loved the vibe of this shop and all the artists. Kevin shares a room with Colleen and she was great to be around as well although I didn't receive a tattoo from her. I highly recommend Kevin for black and gray work!!

Fantastic experience: Was looking for a tattoo artist and place to get my wife and I designed wedding band tattoos and this place was very accommodating and very professional. We ended up going with Marshall Sinclair and he was amazing. Tattoos were really amazing specially the designed he came up with. Everyone at this place were very polite and prompt with answers and getting set up with an artist and a date and time. I highly recommend this place, will definitely come back multiple times.

Fantastic experience: Flacco did the ink on my right arm (left side of photo) and I couldn’t be happier with it. He took his time and didn’t rush it, that’s what I was hoping for. For a single sitting session, the details are extraordinary. The tattoo is of my son’s ship, USS Bataan, that will be appreciated the rest of my life. My father’s ship is on the opposite side, USS Orion, that was done in Chicago. My ship, USS Merrimack, is on the inside of my arm across from an anchor. I highly recommend Studio Evolve and Flacco!!! My first session with Taryn was as if I was just chatting with a long lost friend! She is very detailed oriented and amazing with her craft! My tattoo covers most of my upper side leg. Taryn was open to any ideas I had to make sure I was satisfied with the initial design. I can’t wait to see the finished result after my second session! They also have their artists on their website, with pictures of their work...which makes it easy to find your artist without leaving your home.

Fantastic experience: This tattoo studio is so nice. Everyone I spoke with is kind. I went in for my first tattoo and had Kasey. Best first experience. I left feeling the next day wanting to come back for another. I had my consultation with her and brought her in some pictures of things I liked. I was going in to have 5 paw prints of my fur babies walking up my arm. That's my only request. Being it was my first tattoo, I wanted something that wasn't garish or massive. I left the rest up to Kasey and her creativity. Nailed it! I'm so happy with the design. The paw prints even came out actual size too. When it was healed, I placed their little paws on their respective spots and it was a match.

Fantastic experience: My experience with studio evolve has been by far the best customer service I have ever been exposed to. While the apprentice is ordering food for the artist , they always ask if I want something and also offer up water and coffee while I’m there. Scheduling appointments is usually a month out, but it’s good because it spreads out the cost of your art work. I am currently having a rework done of my right arm sleeve with kevin baker, and his artistic skill is proven in what has been completed so far. I finished three sessions with him and have another three scheduled. I am really pleased with the work and can’t wait to see what the final product looks like. I found my tattoo shop and artist while living in Virginia and will never get another tattoo from another shop while living here. I have other pieces I want to complete at studio evolve with Kevin baker as my tattoo artist. I highly recommend studio evolve for your next tattoo. They have a wide range of artist specializing in all styles of tattoos. Thora Metzger was amazing and has a very calming personality. It was my first tattoo but she helped me feel confident and comfortable. She explained the aftercare process well and answered my many questions. Her instincts and design are spot on! I am in love with my Moomin-ous blueberry tattoo (picture taken when 2 weeks healed).

Fantastic experience: I love this place. Between the amazing artists, the receptionists, and the studio itself, it's always a great experience. The artists there always make sure you are taken care of and that you leave with something you truly love. I've had scar cover up work there, and I couldn't recommend them enough for that alone.

Fantastic experience: Taryn is phenomenal! This was my second tattoo by her and she did not disappoint. I did have to wait several weeks for an opening on her calendar, but a booked calendar is a good sign - and the wait is worth it. She took the time to adjust the design several times to ensure it would work with the size and placement I was looking for. Her demeanor was so comforting throughout the tattooing - constantly checking to see if I was okay, willing to chat if I wanted to but also okay if I needed to zone out. The tattoo healed so nicely and turned out beautifully! Super happy with the outcome! Can’t wait for my next design with her :)

Fantastic experience: I found my tattoo artist Kasey on Instagram and instantly loved her work! I booked with her not long after! In person she was nothing short of amazing! My tattoo is beautiful, exactly what I wanted and made me feel comfortable moving it around! I’ve already got her booked again in a few days! Studio evolve is filled with some pretty awesome people and you feel at home!

Fantastic experience: I came to this studio after researching for a few days. I have a couple of tattoos, but nothing as large or easily visible as what I had in mind, so I was careful about picking an artist. Kevin took EXCELLENT care of me. Fantastic experience: Admittedly I rarely post reviews of anything, but I had such a great experience at Studio Evolve I had to share. Kasey May is incredible! She was wonderful in working through tattoo designs, developed multiple options--I wanted them all. Her artistry & technical skills are so impressive. The design has a ton of fine-scale detail & she delivered it better than I ever imagined. She was also very attentive & had a light touch. This is my 5th tattoo and one of my best experiences. I encourage everyone to check out her portfolio & book her while she has availability. I imagine she'll be fully booked quickly with all this talent. Studio Evolve was a welcoming space & very inclusive & made booking easy. The spaces are super clean & host an impressive number of talented artists. I appreciated all the resources online to explore folks' portfolios and videos. I can easily recommend the studio & was happy to travel from NC. Thank you Kasey & Studio Evolve!

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Studio Evolve and the incredibly talented artist Kasey May enough! From start to finish, Kasey did an amazing job bringing my vision for my tattoos to life. She was incredibly patient, taking the time to discuss all the options with me until we were both completely happy with the design. Each session was a pleasure—Kasey's kindness and humor made the experience even better, all while staying focused on creating truly stunning artwork. The two new tattoos she created for me are some of my absolute favorites, and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. She also touched up a fine line tattoo on my inner wrist, adding beautiful designs and shading that really completed it. Fantastic experience: This was my first tattoo and also my birthday so i was thrilled to get my first tattoo. It was very quick. My brother set a walk in appointment and i was in and out within 1 hour 45 minutes or less. I would 10/10 recommend getting your first time tattoo or any! very wonderful clean environment. Thank you!!
