Fantastic experience: Awesome experience getting a cover up from Mark! I initially wanted a fish, but since I wanted the smallest cover up possible, we switched it up to a smaller piece. Mark was super friendly and did an amazing job. Couldn't ask for a better tattooist, highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I only came in for a consultation with Mark and his personality and style of tattoing just won me over. Because of that I booked straight away. Everything in there was clean and tidy. I could not find a fault anywhere UPDATE just finished a full day session with Mark and the results are absolutely amazing. His advice and direction has created a stunning piece of art on my neck, shoulders and back.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of working with Mason from Winter tattoo's. My first piece and wanted to get a meaningful tattoo to help close my chapter of beating testicular cancer. Not being an artist myself I needed guidance on what we could do which would hold significance and be the statement that I wanted without it being over the top. Mason went above and beyond and after a few consultations we arrived at a design I am beyond in love with. A 4 hour session to get it all down Mason made me feel comfortable with fun a relatable banter as well as seeing his passion for art in front of my eyes while he was tattooing. I knew what parts I had firm idea with and parts which allowed him more creative freedom and the overall tattoo has exceeded my expectation with how it has turned out. Mason is a very talented, kind and caring tattooist who I wholeheartedly recommend! I suffer with anxiety and through out the whole session felt nothing but calm and comfort throughout the process. Thank you so so much to Winter Tattoo's and Mason for the amazing work I will be back!

Fantastic experience: I will not be able to do this man justice in words but I'll attempt none the less, my man Mason, I came to him for a cover up (tattooed myself at 19, horrible right arm tragedy) and only supplied 3 subjects and my dog. No images aside from the dog and he came up with my perfect depiction of what I myself could not imagine. This sleeve represents everything I desired it too and more. I cannot recommend Mason enough not only for his accuracy and precise attention to detail but also his flexibility, measure twice and cut once. The doubling down on position, contrast, bold, shade, colour, and even length of session leaves you the freedom of tension you may have when deciding to permanently turn your body into a display of art. His range of style and his enthusiasm really shines as soon as he speaks to you. Big ups to the bro, look forward to working with to share the rest of my story. Aroha Nui Tuakana <3 P.S. Fantastic experience: Mark was a great tattoist, he consulted with me for awhile to work out a design as I wanted something customised. He was familiar with the subject and culturally safe. I live in another part of the country (North Is) but I will be returning to get another significant artform on my arm

Fantastic experience: I needed to get a cover-up for a botched tattoo and Mitch did a really awesome job. He really listened to what I had in mind and executed it beautifully. I was so impressed with his work, it's like the old tattoo was never there. I also love the interior of the waiting room. It feels really comfy and spacious, and the plants are so lush and healthy, clearly well taken care of.

Fantastic experience: I love this place, have been in several times to get some work done by Aja. Its a beautiful studio, with a really relaxed atomesphere and highly professional team. Aja worked on my back for a day, to integrate a few old tattoos I had into one piece, I was extremely happy with the result. It is a small studio and there can be a wait for bookings, but its 100% worth the wait for the experience and skill that comes with it. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: I first saw Mark in 2011 when i was 18 years old for my first tattoo. His consultation process was excellent and he made sure i was happy with what i had bought to him and what he had in turn designed for me. I have never gone to another artist since and even made multiple trips across the country just to receive his excellent tattooing . He has always been honest about designs and gives an expert opinion on if something will work or not and is extremely well priced for the work received. I always only had one tattoo in mind originally and now here i am 8 years later with full sleeves and alarmingly running out of space. Nobody does black and white tattoos like Dark Mark.

Great mellow and relaxed vibe, which is just what you want when you're spending hour upon hour getting work done. It was a really good experience -unfortunately I don’t have time to have the work done before I leave NZ, though I’m very sure, having talked with Aja and seen the work she has done, that tattoo would’ve turned out brilliantly. It looks amazing, the art and objects on the walls are superb! Aja is an amazing artist and has brought her twists to many of my ideas.. I couldn't be happier with the results. Fantastic experience: Winter Tattoo is a new shop with some of New Zealand's top artists - Dunedin is lucky to have such talent! The shop itself is absolutely stunning both inside and out. Absolutely love the gold and black theme of the shop. The sterilisation room is also very impressive :). Aja has tattooed around half of my body and I will keep going back to her to fill up the rest. She has been able to translate vague ideas into works of art thanks to her creative genius brains. From full sleeves to fun fillers she has always met and exceeded my expectations. Aja is an amazing artist and I am proud to be covered in her art.
