I had a great experience with them all and they are all well trained confident and friendly professionals. The studio is beautifully decorated and if you’re lucky you may meet Newt!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved the outcome of my tattoo! Communication with the team on social media and in person was always amazing and comforting, you can tell these guys love what they do. I highly recommend for a comforting and judgement free environment. My tattoo was done by David and he kept me chatting throughout the whole thing which allowed any anxiety to completely disappear!

The studio is so nice, everyone was very friendly and welcoming - we’re finding it hard to want to get tattoos in Aus now because of the great work Barry did. Negative experience: Fella has booked in twice to be let down twice on the day of booking, taken 2 full days off work for this too. 1st time he was let down the artist was out drinking the day before all over Insta. Don’t take a booking if you know you’re not going to do it. Not very professional.

Fantastic experience: Went in this morning to get my first tattoo done, I would highly recommend them and I will definitely be going back! Josh was the artist for my tattoo, he made sure I was happy and comfortable at all times when I was having it done. He also thoroughly went through all of the aftercare information with me as it was my first one, to make sure I understood everything. Brilliant service all round, highly recommend!!

My son Lewis had a 4 hour session today and almost passed out half way through but everyone there was fantastic, really looked after him and made sure he had a drink and something to eat. I love the fact you can just walk in and ask for whatever piercing you like and they happily accommodate, sooo much better than booking appointments and being messed about etc. Chello pierced my tragus and it was virtually painless! Fantastic experience: Could not be happier with what Josh has done after discussing needing a cover up for an old tattoo were laser removal just wasn't going past a certain point. The attention to detail is top notch and was made to feel at ease through out the process. I'm so happy with the results thank you Josh :)

Positive experience: Walked in today to get a quote. Before I even explained what tattoo I want they refuse to do it because it was on the neck. They said they don't tattoo the neck area because I have plenty space on the rest of my body. Basically if you not fully covered everywhere else they don't tattoo your neck. What's next they will choose the design for me as well??? Anyway nothing against the place or the stuff everyone was nice just they have so weird policy. I wish the change it in the future as I really wanted a tattoo from them.

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing experience!! I had a tattoo done by Josh and a piercing by Chello. Staff all super friendly. It was my first tattoo and I was made to feel really at ease. The tattoo was done pretty quick as it was small, really comfortable environment with great energy. Josh was so kind and made sure I was happy with the placement. Onto the piecing, Chello was really nice and did everything nice and quick so it really wasn’t painful. Thank you so much to all of you for a great experience! :)

Fantastic experience: Cannot rate Basement13 higher! Not only is the work absolutely beautiful everytime they really do listen to what you want and nothing is too much trouble! The staff there are all so friendly and welcoming! The environment is so relaxed and you feel so at ease. I have been going to Barry for years and he always makes me feel relaxed and has such great patience with me as I can be a little anxious sometimes! I have tattoos by different artist there too and the standard is always the same. The whole experience from the minute you enquire all the way to after care is flawless!

Fantastic experience: I had two tattoos by Kate today. I've had lots of tattoos at other places before. Kate was the best tattooist I have had so far. I hardly felt them being done. She was also friendly and made me feel so comfortable. I totally recommend her. I also recommend Basement 13 generally. Barry and all the staff are ultra lovely to deal with. Deserve 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Had my very first ever tattoo done here a few days ago. The staff couldn't have been nicer throughout the process. I was given advice on how to prepare for it, David was a lovely guy who kept checking if I was OK and then I was given thorough aftercare advice. I am over the moon with the result too! Will definitely go back if I decide to have another.

Negative experience: I went to basement 13 in April to get a tattoo for my birthday. It was my third time going there so I was pretty confident that I would have an enjoyable experience. However, firstly I was booked in with Josh when I specifically requested Beki. Unfortunately I was four minutes late due to traffic and unforeseen circumstances which I understand is annoying however I feel the way that they addressed the situation was unprofessional and somewhat rude. I was left an aggressive voicemail & then once i arrived, having apologised more than once, i was met with resentment from the tattoo artist. I wanted to change something about my tattoo (minor) and he made a big fuss, huffing and looking at the clock. It made me feel like i was an inconvenience to him and his day when i was originally very excited. Sadly this experience has tarnished basement 13 for me and i won’t be going back. I understand everyone has bad days, stressful days, but there’s no need to take it out on the customer!

Fantastic experience: Just had my second large piece done on my right upper arm, the first being on my upper left and to say I'm totally stoked with the results is an understatement!!!! .After sitting down with Barry with my ideas of what I wanted and the best way of achieving this on both times I felt very comfortable and made to feel like an old friend. Fantastic experience: I don’t usually leave reviews but having read a very recent negative review I felt the need to I went to basement 13 as it was recommended to me by a friend. Never had a tattoo before so a bit nervous. I arrived just as they where closing but the invited me in. We spent some time discussing what I had in mind and they listens and gave me lots of advice and guidance . They made me feel very much at ease ,and at no point did I feel rushed . There customer service was some of the best service I have received . Congratulations you should be proud of yourself

Negative experience: BEWARE!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ‘OWNER/MANAGER’ Didn’t even get past a telephone call with the ‘manager’ of the store. Very rude. Unhelpful, didn’t seem to understand the concept of customer service skills. I called with the intention of booking in a day’s worth of tattooing valued at £400. After speaking to this ‘lady’ I changed my mind. Yet this wasn’t enough for her. She sought me out on Facebook messenger to passively aggressively attack me. Very disappointed as I have a lot of tattoos. I’ve never been treated like this by anybody within the community.

Negative experience: Was recommeded these guys. Walked in today to arrange a consultation and was totally ignored when in the shop by two staff. Nobody greated me in, they dealt with another lady and went upstairs. Maybe its just me but working in customer service, you always great customers into your shop. Have arranged my tattoo with Manhatten Ink now. Amazing service.
