Negative experience: Walk-ins are accepted, which is convenient. The tattoo came out fine, but the overall experience felt average and the pricing was high. Convenient if you’re last-minute, but don’t expect anything amazing. I ended up with an average tattoo that’s slightly crooked. Wish them the best.

Fantastic experience: After my best friend died, I wanted to get a tattoo of one of his paw prints so that he'd always be with me (he was a dog BTW, not a werewolf, I probably should've started with that...) Anyway, I took a chance and managed to get a walk in slot at Seven Dials, and I am so thrilled I did. Choka, who is not only a total mensch but outrageously talented, did a beyond beautiful job (fine lines and shading: 10/10) and it far exceeded my expectations. Probably too good a job because now everyone in my family wants one (including my octogenarian mother FFS - you're going to be busy in the New Year, Choka...). Everyone there is friendly, funny, professional and lovely (I should also say that I'm an old bag, which didn't seem to faze them at all :)). Will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo with Stef a few days ago, and he was brilliant. The design he created was beautiful and his line work is amazing - all my friends keep complimenting it! I was a bit nervous as it was my first tattoo but he put me at ease and talked me through the design, shape, placement, etc. at every step of the way to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. This was a memorial tattoo so I knew I wanted it to be something special, and I'm so happy with the final result. I can't recommend him enough!

I was feeling quite nervous but Stefan showed me the design he’d worked on (based on a photo I’d sent) was open to showing me how it could look with slight changes and helped me choose what size and orientation looked best. Fantastic experience: I wanted to get some new work done while vacationing in London so started to look for a shop and I found Seven Dials while doing an online search, had good reviews so I thought I would give it a go. I was not at all disappointed. Right from the start the email responses I got were quick, clear and answered my questions right away. I came in for my initial appointment to discuss the tattoo and Antonio was very easy to talk to, understood right away what I was looking for and came back with a design that hit the nail on the head. The actual appointment to get the work done was great. once again, easy to talk to, very good at his craft and the atmosphere overall in the shop is very laid back and comfortable. I will definitely come back again the next time I am in London.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience here! Communication with reception staff was very efficient and transparent, they let me know the approximate quote before my consultation and chose a great artist, Jimi, for me based off what I wanted for my tattoo. Consultation with Jimi went fantastic and I loved his take on my ideas and inspiration photos; he was great and let me know that I could consult with him any time before the tattoo appointment on the design and whether I was happy with it or not. Actual tattoo appointment was also great! The only gripe I have is that it took about fifteen minutes past my appointment time for me to be brought back to be tattooed. Jimi made sure I was good with the design before we decided on placement, and the actual tattooing process was great. He took his time without spending extraordinarily long on the tattoo, with the actual inking being about an hour or so. Listening to the banter and conversation between staff was very entertaining lol. The results turned out fantastic and have been healing super well! Jimi even gave me some extra second skin when I mentioned that I exercised a lot so I would have extra replacements if I ended up sweating them off. Definitely considering getting a second tattoo here before I leave London!

Fantastic experience: First attended with an idea of what I may like as a tattoo. Staff pointed me in the direction of tattoo artist Jay. We discussed and Jay drew up a picture. It was more than I ever could have expected. Two sittings later, I am completely amazed by the result. My wife and family attend the Covent Garden shop for their piercings normally and always have exemplary service and after care. From my experience and as my first tattoo, and what I have seen of others work there. Staff are outstanding, well done to all, such talent and service.

Fantastic experience: As soon as I walked into the building the staff were so kind and friendly. I had an issue getting some cash out because my artist Clint was an awesome guy and managed to squeeze in an appointment as soon as possible after my consultation for £350. I couldn't withdraw anymore than £300 pound due to limits on how much you can withdraw but the team understood completely and Clint even offered to do it for £300. I felt so comfortable there with good banter between the staff and such a friendly experience. I was getting a slipknot tattoo and they even played the 25th anniversary rerelease on the speaker during my appointment. I am 100% coming here again. The place, price and atmosphere was absolutely amazing.

Negative experience: I had a good experience when I came here, the piercer was super friendly and helpful and I got two piercings. However, both piercings are now problematic. One fell out a month after getting it, seems like it wasn't tight enough. And the second is much too close to another piercing and won't heal, I will have to take it out. Edited to say thanks for your response, I appreciate it! Didn't realise about your policy, that's good to know. I will try to come in and see if we can fix it! Also just re the badly placed piercing - it looked fine from the marking but came out at a weird angle in the back of the ear, otherwise I would have asked for it to be changed. Edited one last time to say that these piercings just didn't last and I expected better. The second was over at 6 weeks. Meanwhile I've had others for years and years from other parlours. Still appreciate the friendly customer service!

Positive experience: I’ve always had really good experiences here and the work is great. But unfortunately this time wasn’t amazing. As a piercer who works in tattoo studios myself- it was upsetting to overhear staff complaining about having to do “butterfly tattoos” on peoples ankles. I understand as an artist you want to create your art - it’s your passion. But where is the professionalism. It didn’t create a welcoming environment to wait in for my family members first tattoo. Which was a real shame.

He responded immediately, was incredibly kind, and fit me in the next day! I sent him a reference photo and he created a design that was even better than what I had envisioned. Fantastic experience: The team at Seven Dials Tattoo are the most welcoming and helpful bunch. Between the staff at the front desk and Clint (the tattoo artist), they answered all of my queries (by phone, in-person and email), allayed all my fears and when I had to delay my appointment due to an injury, were tremendously accommodating. On the day of inking itself, I was helped up/down the stairs and tattooed upstairs - where I could keep my injured foot raised. Clint did an absolutely stunning job and answered all my questions about the process. I felt very comfortable and free to swear, moan, groan and taker a break as needed. Apologies to all who will have heard me sounding like a lowing cow to get through it. Clint may have the patience of a Saint. I LOVE my tattoo!

Only in London a couple days from the U.S. and new ink sounded like a good idea with nothing else planned for the visit. I sent off a late night email and received a quick reply from Ruth shortly after they opened the following day. Was able to get a walk-in appointment quickly and easily. Antonio listened to what I wanted and made it exactly what I had in my head! Was completely comfortable throughout the entire process. Would totally come here again and just may do so on the next trip!

I reached out to the studio late in the night and Laura responded first thing in the morning when they opened. We exchanged an few emails and she booked me in for a consultation the same day. Fantastic experience: No shade to the tattooist, I am just posting this as awareness. I checked with the tattooist and he advised my tattoo has healed exactly as expected. This was my first fine line tattoo (I got this 10 weeks ago) and I naively did not realise how faint it would heal - most pictures you see are when the tattoo is freshly done. So just in case anyone is in the same position as me, this is it healed (have also added a picture when it was first done). I did have a great experience, and there was good communication!

Helped calm my nerves for my first tattoo, patiently heard through the key data points I wanted portrayed in the tattoo, was prompt at responding back with versions of the tattoo and was exceptional on the day. Is extremely creative and prompt at responding back on any questions you might have on aftercare. Strong recommendation for anyone looking to get a tattoo.

Fantastic experience: I got a tattoo for my 19th birthday. My artist (scabbage) was very understanding to my requests on what to change and was very quick but was done well. Was a perfect price as well and I am very happy with my end results. My sister and her girlfriend also got a piercing while they waited. A very clean and professional downstairs where the tattoos were done.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at Seven dials . Antonio is a hugely talented artist and a perfectionist. He implemented a very abstract and difficult idea that I shared with him, with an ultra professional and sophisticated way and the result was simply astonishing, exceeding even my own expectations . In addition, the staff was very helpful and friendly answering any questions that I had, and the owner was very kind, communicative and supportive. Overall, all the time I spent there was totally worth it in every respect, and I would definitely pay a visit again in the future .
