Negative experience: I never write reviews but disappointed to be doing so! Have been attempting to get a refund on my deposit which was agreed upon as the artist was going to be too late for my appointment for me to stick around due to them sleeping in I get these things happen, but a refund is definitely fair in this circumstance Frustrated to still be waiting for a refund after multiple follow ups and 6 weeks waiting

He was realistic about what could be achieved and gave great ideas for solutions. I found the staff and studio so respectful especially as they are memorial pieces for my dad. Positive experience: Mixed reviews for this one after getting 3 tatts. Wasn't happy with my last as it bled and you can see the needle scratch marks in sections where it isn't well blended. Getting another artist to fix up. The other two tatts were ok though so not sure whether to recommend or not. Did like this tatt by Hayley!

Negative experience: I originally planned to have my tattoo done by a different tattoo artist due to nadia being on maternity leave, but cancelled that appointment and lost my deposit because I really wanted nadia who had done such a great job on both my sisters tattoos but I was only to be left so disappointed with my separate experience. I had booked quite a while in advance with her and never got a message to talk about the art work and what I had in mind which I found to be a bit strange since friends have always worked together with their artists to make sure it is exactly what they want, but as I’ve never had a big tattoo I didn’t know how it worked so I assumed she knew best. The first tattoo she printed off when I got to our appointment I didn’t think looked right, it wasnt until she stuck it on my body and I had a look at my phone at the picture I sent her that I realised it was completely different than what I had sent her. She then said I didn’t send her clear enough photos but if that was the case why wasn’t that told to me before I turned up to my appointment, I then offered to send through many more photos I had saved and she rejected that offer and drew it up with the original photo I sent. She also said that the dragon head was “too complicated” and went with the easier dragon head for herself to draw up. When she placed the stencil on my skin I said I didn’t mind it but that I just wanted the head and neck in a different position on me, she told me no and that it won’t work like that and I was very thrown off and felt quite intimidated and as if I had no say with the tattoo at all. It’s now been a couple months passed and I’ve tried to warm up to it but I still feel very unhappy with it and the whole experience that I am thinking about getting it removed but it’s such a big tattoo it would be costing me a lot of money when it could have been done perfectly if the artist had of listened to what I actually wanted instead of doing the easier option. I also called the owner of wise monkey to explain my experience and what I went through and how it made me feel and straight from the start of the call she defended her artist and then went onto try make excuses saying she wasted time messing around on my piece which Is rediculous because that is her job, and she wouldn’t have had to mess around on the day if she had discussed with me prior to our appointment about what I wanted instead of just drawing up a completely different dragon to what i sent her without my knowledge. She then said I should of been kicked out because I didn’t sit very well, as I didn’t have any numbing cream or anything for the pain and I was flinching a bit. I was very disappointed as I was being very polite to the artist in trying to ask for what I wanted and just feel very walked over and miss treated.

Fantastic experience: Just had a sit with Hayley this afternoon. Did an absolutely amazing job, lovely chat, lovely tattoo, very sterile studio & lovely service. This is my second time here & I’ll say it now & again, I’ll be back! Thanks so much xxx

Negative experience: I was so exited to get my first tattoo, it raised so much and has faded a lot and looks very poorly done and was so expensive never going here again

Negative experience: I went to these guys over a year ago and got two small tattoos. The smallest was a letter on the inside of my ankle which got infected yet the other one didn't. I took just as much care for it as I have with all the other tattoos I've had in the past too. Thought I'd give them a second chance so I tried calling them to organise a voucher for my partner and I could never get through. Tried on different days and times and there wasn't even an answering machine so I messaged them on Facebook and got an automated message to say to call the studio. Tried again and again until I went elsewhere and they didn't reply to me until over a month later.

Fantastic experience: Excellent welcome from the receptionist interested in ensuring l acheived my request. Great understanding conferring with the artists. All round excellent experience with top blokes. Extremely happy with the result. I highly recommend WMT.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely phenomenal. Started getting my sleeve done today with Hayley. She has done a bloody damn good job and i am extremely happy with the work she has already done. Hayley took such care and time with both planning and doing the tattoo, making sure I was happy with everything and comfortable during the session, couldn't have asked for better than Hayley and all the other artists from what I could see take the same care and considerationwith their work. Can't wait to go back for my next session and continue!! 10/10

Fantastic experience: Hayley did a wonderful job on my tattoo. Her welcoming domenier was calming. I knew i could trust her with my first tattoo. She was caring and very professional. I have known many other people who have also used her services, who have been extremely happy and continue to go back for their next tatts. The whole team is lovely communication was always on point and after i had my tatt done she would check up to see how it was healing and if any touch ups were needed, which they weren't :) Thanks Wise Monkey team!! Do recommend :)

Fantastic experience: First one, friendly great work

Negative experience: I know of two people who went here for a tattoo. Both said that they disliked it and the tattoos had faded pretty bad.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE, here's why: Hayley designed my tattoo on the spot as her first design was completely opposite to what I wanted despite me sending an email with references and confirming with them that they received it. The communication was just poor, they took forever to get back to me. The design was rushed and she did not take her time or give any attention to detail, despite OVERCHARGING me $250 as that's what they originally quoted me (probs why she didn't care and just rushed it). I told her many times how I wanted it but she wouldn't really consider my input. The shading was also done quite poorly, and it has since FADED CONSIDERABLY. The lines all look sloppy with zero care put into it, making the entire piece look unprofessional. Don't get someone to do your tattoo if they don't take the time to make it perfect for you, not happy at all.

Negative experience: Shading on my tattoo was average, and the ink has since faded (unlike that on other tattoos I have). The tattoo artist was rude and threatened to "yell at [me] if [I] were a man". I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a positive experience.

Fantastic experience: Most amazing service! I went in to get my dads hand writing tattooed on me, the tattooist treated me with respect and was so caring. This was an emotional time for me, I didn’t really want to talk I just sat there in complete silence and he allowed me. I now have a memory on me that will last my life time. Thankyou x
