Negative experience: I looked on instagram and their studio looked good so I booked in today for myself. I turned up and it was an apartment with a chair and sofa. The two guys were nice enough but the place was not what I was expecting. It was very dirty. Small flies flying around me. A beetle under the chair when I was getting the tattoo done. The guy did a good job but very expensive. About £120 for a small lines only tattoo. The advert said 20% off for this month and when we questioned it they said we couldn’t have it so false advertising. I’m pleased with the tattoo but if this place was in England, they would have been shut down.

After over 3 weeks, the tattoos have white spots and need to be retouched. When I tried contacting the artist on WhatsApp the messages didn’t go through anymore.

Negative experience: I went to King Tattoo based off google reviews as it had a 4.8 rating (which doesn’t seem accurate). Firstly, the tattoo studio was based in a dodgy apartment block in the Marina area which was a strange first impression. I asked for a very basic tattoo design and this was very poorly tattooed. The lines were wonky, they were different thicknesses and the ink was a strange colour. I asked for compensation and all that was offered was a touch up and free tattoo. I told him that I had no confidence in them doing it again as it was done so poorly the first time around. The owner on the pictures didn’t even do the tattoos, he got someone else to do it whilst he put his feet up. My two friends also got theirs done at the same time and they are also unhappy with their tattoos and in need of a touch up. I have since had to have mine touched up which is a payment I wouldn’t expect to have to pay after getting it done already.

Negative experience: It was my first tattoo. According to the reviews, my girlfriend and I thought it was serious. Getting tattooed there was my biggest mistake. The hotel room was dirty, they worked without foil. The tattoo was cleaned with toilet paper and tap water. While they were doing my tattoo, the machine hit the floor and he continued with it. My tattoo got so badly inflamed afterwards that I now have blood poisoning and can no longer walk because of the pain. There's nothing left of the tattoo, it's just a big black spot.
