Expérience fantastique: Das Studio ist mitten in der Stadt Basel. Ein kleines gemütliches Studio. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und Emmanuel geht sehr auf dich ein. Alles sehr sauber. Besten Dank für das super tolle Tattoo.

Expérience fantastique: Emmanuel ist ein Künstler, der sich Zeit nimmt, die Person kennenzulernen, um ein passendes Design zu finden. Das wurde bereits beim ersten Treffen deutlich. Ich hatte bereits eine Vorstellung, was für ein Motiv ich mir stechen lassen wollte und habe Emmanuel meine Skizzen gezeigt. Er gab ehrliches Feedback dazu, vor allem was stilistisch sinnvoller ist, besser zur Geltung kommt und besser zu meiner Persönlichkeit passen würde. Da ich das Design gerne vorab sehen und etwas Bedenkzeit haben wollte, bot er mir einen Fitting-Termin am Tag vor dem Stechen an, was ich gerne angenommen habe. Das Fitting war dann eher eine Design Session, wo wir zusammen am endgültigen Motiv getüftelt haben, bis ich 100% zufrieden war. Vor dem Tätowieren hat er das Motiv bis ins kleinste Detail nach meinen Wünschen platziert. Während der Sitzung nahm er sich Zeit und arbeitete sehr sorgfältig. Gegen Ende fragte er mich immer wieder nach meinem Input und ob ich Änderungen vornehmen wollte. Sein Hund war noch dabei, was mich nicht gestört hat. Wer aber Hunde nicht mag oder allergisch ist, sollte das erwähnen. Das Tattoo ist wunderschön geworden und ich kann meine Augen nicht davon lassen, bzw. ich kann nicht aufhören, es im Spiegel zu betrachten Insgesamt war meine Erfahrung sehr positiv und ich kann ihn wärmstens empfehlen, wenn man sich ein Fineline-Motiv zulegen will.

Expérience fantastique: I decided to choose Emmanuel to tattoo me because of my friend. If only heard good about him, so I gave it a shot. Tbh I was a bit nervous at the beginning because I only have been tattooed by women but I have to say, I've never felt uncomfortable the whole time I was there, if I needed something like water he would offer it, if I needed a break he would always say yes, he would make sure and ask if I was ok while tattooing, he would ask if I'm comfortable, overall literally perfect. Very chill and calm atmosphere in his tattoo shop, and also him as a person. So if you're looking for all of this above, then you're at the right place! Really glad I let him do the art piece on my body. Couldn't be more happy about it.✨️ If I would want another tattoo it will probably be done by him.

Expérience fantastique: I recently turned 18, I have been planning my first tattoo for years (jellyfish as seen in the photo below). As I was searching for studios online, Emmanuel's art stood out to me. I was quick to book a free consultation. I was astonished already by the precision and knowledge of the artist. In between the consultation and the session, I had some questions and was contacted back very fast (one of them being if i was allowed to bring a close friend of mine to stay with me in the studio for reassurance --> I was allowed ). Fast forward to today (tattoo session), I have never felt in better hands. Everything was very very hygienic. The service was great ( he was very patient with it being my first tattoo, constantly checking up on me ), which proved good communication. The tattoo itself took around 2 and a half hours ( 30 minutes break --> 3x 10 minutes as it was my first time ). I would also like to say that he was very quick to adjust the details that seemed important to him ( even the smallest of details and multiple times ). I really appreciate his attention to details and overall care towards the customer because those are things that I as a normal person, really wouldn't notice . I would also like to add, that the aftercare was explained very well and products were provided! And honestly even if the tattoos are on the "more expensive side", you pay for what you get. This was a great and warm-welcome to the tattoo community. I couldn't have wished for any better. Emmanuel is a great guy, and in conclusion, I can only recommend his services to anyone looking for a new tattoo ( veteran or newbie ). Emmanuel is an experienced, caring and talented artist who engaged in an immersive and collaborative process with me from the start. Beginning with explaining my ideas and the stories behind them in detail in a first session we progressed to sketching and drawing until we had what I was looking for. The tattoo itself took around five hours and was beautifully and carefully done. An altogether positive experience for me, 10/10 - would get tattooed here again!

It was easy to book the appointment on the artist's website, he answered my messages within a reasonable time, very clearly. Mr Mazzeo was very kind, patient and professional, be it during the first meeting or the day of the tattoo. He put on new gloves and opened the new needles in front of me, answered all my questions and took his time to perfect the design: he thought it needed a finishing touch and asked my opinion about it, to which I agreed. Before leaving, he assured me I could come back or write again anytime should I have questions. This is a true professional and artist, you are in good hands!

Expérience fantastique: Erwartungen übertroffen! Angenehmes Studio im Herzen von Basel. Ich habe einen Termin abgemacht um mich mal zu informieren für mein erstes Tattoo. Emmanuel war sofort Feuer und Flamme und hat viele fragen um das gewünschte Design gestellt und hat direkt deine Tipps eingebracht. Als er ein Bild im Kopf hatte aufgrund des Gespräches hat er sofort auf der Haut angefangen zu zeichnen. Das hat er so professionell gemacht...was für ein Künstler! Nun designt er das Tattoo fertig. Das Studio ist schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Sobald mein Tattoo gestochen ist, mache ich hier ein Update.

Expérience négative: (Edit: Der Herr Mazzeo hat sich nach dieser Rezension bei mir gemolden und hat sich für die Situation aufrichtig entschuldigt. Es wurde mir eine Wiedergutmachung angeboten und er ist auf die Kritik eingegangen.) Meine Erfahrung im Tattoo-Studio von Herrn Mazzeo war äusserst enttäuschend. Leider wirkte er nicht besonders zuverlässig, indem er den Termin mehrmals verschob und sich dann unvorbereitet zeigte, ohne sich an unsere Vereinbarung zu erinnern. Zusätzlich ignorierte er meine Bedürfnisse und reduzierte meine Ideen und Wünnsche aufgrund seiner persönlichen Vorlieben. Darüber hinaus verlangte er für drei kleine Schriftzüge (je 6cm Fineline) einen unangemessen hohen Preis, trotz der Wartezeit wegen seiner Unvorbereitetheit. Nach dieser Erfahrung habe ich mich aus Neugier bei anderen Tattoo Studios in Basel erkunndigt und alle hätten für diese Tattoos einen deutlich tieferen Preis verlangt. Genau genommen habern alle einen um 1/3 tieferen Preis verlangt. Im Fazit: der Herr Mazzeo scheint zwar ein talentierter Tätowierer zu sein, aber seine Kundenbetreuung/bedienung lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Wer also unnötige Diskussionen mit einem unfreundlichen und scheinbar arroganten Tätowierer vermeiden möchte, sollte das Studio von Emmanuel Mazzeo meiden.

Er nimmt sich wirklich Zeit, um die Wünsche des Kunden umzusetzen und bringt dabei seine eigenen wunderbaren Ideen mit ein. Das Ergebnis könnte schöner nicht sein: sehr filigran und subtil.
