Expérience fantastique: I had been to InkFX in the past to get piercings done with Jennica and I had such an amazing experience. She was very knowledgeable and kind. I came back a few months later and did my first ever tattoo with Amy. Working with Amy was amazing, we worked together to create the perfect design and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Since this was my first tattoo I was nervous about pain, Amy is super knowledgeable about placement and though everyone’s experiences are different gave me an accurate description of what areas might be the most painful. Amy gave clear and helpful instructions on aftercare which made the healing process so smooth. I genuinely recommend InkFX to anyone looking to get tattoos or piercings. I’ve had nothing short of a great experience here and I will be back for my next tattoos:)

Expérience négative: I went in about 2 years ago to get my nipples pierced and i iced them prior as i was scared of the pain…. i was informed at the start that i shouldn’t have and i was also asked about the placement being correct but im no professional and thought it looked right…..afterwards, the same day, i went and got a second opinion that confirmed i was pierced through my areolas and not my nipples. i hadn’t left a review because i felt like it was my own fault but i still feel bad about it to this day which is why i need to leave this review. i actually went and got my belly done by the same person (im very forgiving) which healed with no issues and i love it! just super unfortunate and upsetting that i wasn’t turned away the first time if she wasn’t sure about the placement and how much my nipples would expand. :/// wish i went back and said something the day of, but i was so heartbroken and there wasn’t really any fix for the situation…..except a refund i was too scared to ask for :(( i recommend doing your research and if a piercer seems to be unsure about ANYTHING find another place!!!! to this piercer, i mean no malice, just think it’s something we can both learn from and i’ve grown enough to see it wasn’t my fault so i needed to share this so if you run into the same scenario you could turn them away instead of risking the same problem.

Expérience fantastique: Went to inkfx for the first time and had an amazing experience! I saw Sairuh for 2 piercings and she was amazing. Super friendly, outgoing and helped soothe my anxiety! She had a large variety of different jewelry to choose from and her piercing technique was very gentle! The overall atmosphere is great and makes you feel welcome. Expérience fantastique: I got my septum pierced by Sairuh the other day and it was such a smooth process! She opened up a discussion about what I was looking for (I needed a septum that can be flipped up) and helped me find jewelry that suited my needs. She was also very efficient, the piercing and jewelry application was so quick- I was pleasantly surprised! I brought some of my close friends and she was accommodating and kind, she let them all hold my hands as she pierced. I have sent her follow-up questions and she has been responsive and clear. Highly recommend! Heads up: If you want a same-day appointment, enter the waitlist early in the morning if the queue is long. I entered when it opened and I was seen in the evening.

Expérience fantastique: I stopped in to buy jewelry for my lip, the piercer wasn’t in but the gentleman who helped me was still soo helpful in picking out something that would fit my lip and match my other jewelry. Very reasonable pricing too I didn’t even have to hesitate!

Expérience fantastique: Had a great experience getting a tattoo touched up ( originally don’t by another artist on the mainland) Kevin was super quick to get me in as I am on a timeline and can’t get it touched up later! He was incredibly fair with the pricing as the tattoo was tiny. Jasmine helped me with changing a challenging broken Travis piercing and a daith piercing. Friendly and clean all around!

Expérience négative: I brought my daughter in for a bridge piercing which was supposed to be 80 dollars, well 180 dollars later and it is so crooked it looks awful. It obviously needs to be redone, I am so disappointed and my daughter who was so excited is now devastated that she has an awful uneven face piercing. Unbelievable.

Expérience fantastique: All the staff are friendly and the place has such positive vibes. I have had 6 tattoos with Dawson and 2 sessions with Modus so far this year. They have listened to my story for each of them and articulated the design thru their own creativity which finished exactly how I wanted them to be. I have another session booked. I was so scared when i got my first tattoo with her but, I let her know my fear and she offered me a juice box to help for sugar. Expérience fantastique: Sairuh is an angel. She pierced my ears for my wedding, after having my lobes sewn up from having tunnels for 15+ years. Not only did she follow up with me after a complication (my ear, not her) but she was super comforting and helpful. I don't need any other piercings but I would get them just to have her do more! 11/10. Amy also did a perfect little fine line tattoo for me, and she was great! Very responsive, gentle and talented. My go-to one stop shop for tattoos & piercings <3 !

Expérience fantastique: TLDR: 10/10 experience and I'll definitely be back for more piercings and dermals. I initially went in for a septum piercing. Sairuh was very thorough and explained why my nasal anatomy wasn't ideal and even suggested a shop that might be able to do it if I was sure I wanted it. I was so impressed with her upfront and friendly explanation that I opted for a cheekbone dermal instead. Sairuh was super friendly and knowledgeable about the whole procedure and the actual install itself was relatively painless - akin to an earlobe piercing. Ten days later and my dermal is still perfectly placed, flush with my skin and I can feel it's already knitting into the tissue below. No pain, swelling, or unusual redness, heat, or oozing. The fact that I could have any of the titanium implants anodized to my colour of choice meant that I can match my gold jewelry right off the bat, which I really appreciated! The shop was clean, bright, and lively without being over stimulating. The person working reception was very polite to everyone coming in while I waited, and was upholding the age and parental consent policy when younger people came in with inquiries. I'll definitely be back to get more done.

Expérience fantastique: I got tattooed by Amy and let me tell you..everyone in that building is super talented and kind. Amy did a fantastic job….I absolutely love them! And she was so much fun!….But, also incredibly professional. She is an absolute Gem! I have been searching for a great artist for the last year and I need look no further. I will be telling everyone who listens to go and see her! And one of the staff Nicco(I hope I’m spelling it correctly) helped me to back out of my spot because it was quite difficult to get out of. Expérience fantastique: I went in originally to get my naval , didn’t end up having the anatomy , but ended up leaving with an amazing piercing that I love! Sairuh was so kind and took the time to explain naval anatomy and help me choose a peircing that I did have the anatomy for while making sure I left happy with my new piercing. The environment was super clean and professional with really cool decor. I love my rook, it looks awesome I will 100% be getting any future piercings here. Definitely recommend this location!

Expérience négative: I used their online check in system to make a belly button piercing appointment for my sister and when I did it told me the appointment would be in about an hour from the time we signed up. We live close to downtown so to get to Langford it can be a trek so we went right away and I noticed that everytime I would check the system, our time would get longer and longer. We finally got a notification 2 and a half hours later that it was my sisters turn so we quickly walked over to Ink FX and when we got there, there was a few girls there also waiting and the receptionist was moving around appointments and bumped my sisters appointment. When we asked her why she did that, she told us that she was letting one of the other girls go ahead of my sister as they came together but had made separate appointments. We had already waited over 2 hours for something that was only supposed to be an hour. I asked her how long it would be and the receptionist responded "It takes about 20 minutes per person" so I clarified that if both are going we are looking at another hour of waiting. The receptionist seemed angry and said "are you not listening to what I am saying? The wait time varies and each person takes 20ish minutes". I felt her tone was very aggressive and became uncomfortable. I also expressed my concern and explained that we reserved the time and it would not be fair to bump my sister so that another person can go ahead of us just because the other girl brought her friend along and last minute the friend also decided to get a piercing. The receptionist went to the back and did not come back for about five minutes. After waiting another 20 minutes, it was my sisters turn. She went in and Sairuh (the piercer) literally looked at my sisters belly button for maybe a minute or less and then told her she did not have the anatomy for the piercing. She also used a lot of jargon that did not really make sense to us as to why my sister did not have the anatomy but what struck me was her saying belly buttons change over time and to come back in a few years (I work in healthcare and have never heard this before except when someone is pregnant). My sister left very upset as we wasted our whole day. I had a weird feeling about the place and decided to get a second opinion at proper poke and my sister got her piercing there with zero issue and zero complications with her piercing. Inf act, at proper poke, the piercer actually physically examined the belly button rather than just staring at it from a distance for a few seconds like Sairuh did. I suspect the receptionist was mad because we had caught her moving appointments around when she should not have been and probably said something to Sairuh about us which led to us being denied. Regardless, I would not recommend this place as the system put in place is not very efficient. In total we waited 170 minutes when initially it said 60 minutes. Go to proper poke instead!

Expérience fantastique: Sairuh did my tongue piercing after hours, and the entire experience was both professional and comforting. She explained every step of the procedure thoroughly and answered all of my questions with care. Thanks to Sairuh’s professionalism, kindness, and steady hands, this is the only shop I’ll be returning to for future piercings.

Expérience fantastique: Had my septum re done with Sairuh, she was super lovely and very informative. I was unhappy with the septum I had done years ago somewhere else, and she talked me through the location of piercing processes.

Expérience négative: I am not one to write reviews let alone negative ones but this one seems valid. I have gotten multiple piercings done with sairuh and they all went well but I saw her in November to get my navel pierced and I thought it was just raw but after awhile it started embedding so I went to a different shop to see what they could do. Only to find out the reason it wasn’t healing was because it was pierced incorrectly and with improper jewelry. They replaced it and it finally started to heal but there is permanent and dark scarring around the area. There is a similar review to mine so clearly not a one off. Safe to say I was disappointed with this experience.

I asked her find a good spot on my ear and she nailed it. She's also responsive and helpful when asking her about my next piercing on Instagram. They said yes, there was a walk in artist there, was given a phone number to call artist. No answer, left message. No reply. Her line work is amazing, she’s never disappointed us (my family has also had tattoos done by her and love theirs as well). She brings comfort and is super chill. She was amazing. she was on her day off and she helped us over the phone to pick the right one. The guy at the front I can't for the life of me remember his name help us put the studd back in even though he had never done it before. Thank you guys for helping and making a very worried 13 Your old feel so much better That her hole would not grow over.

Expérience fantastique: I got my tongue pierced by Sairuh and she did an absolutely amazing job. I expected the healing process to be awful, as I had my tongue pierced previously and it sucked.. But this time, I had absolutely 0 pain the whole time, no bleeding, and minimal swelling. She knows what she’s doing!! I recommend to all.

Anyway, I really didn't need to do it because the person who did it (Sairuh) was sooooo good with my daughter! My daughter was not afraid at all, she had fun choosing the studs, and she asked a lot of questions that Sairuh was so knowledgeable about. And as for my ear piercings, I love them! They are perfect! It was a great experience overall! I reeeally recommend!

Expérience fantastique: Went in wanting to get an ear lobe piercing, and had to get an unexpected removal of jewelry from inside my ear (from a previous piercing mishap elsewhere). Sairuh was incredibly kind, gentle, and accommodating during the removal process. Highly recommend for a safe and all around exceptional experience! Will be back.

Expérience négative: I never write reviews but this just keeps bothering me and I feel like I have to say something. I came to this studio and specific artist having seen previous work and liked what I saw! My two tattoos are both not what I had hoped for which makes me so sad! One has a few spots that should be blacked out - there were gaps all over, even after going back for a touch up it’s still not completely blacked out. It’s supposed to be symmetrical and it’s not really. You can’t tell far from away but I know because I look often and know what it should look like and it’s just so disappointing. It felt like the artist just went so quickly and didnt pay attention to how this permanent art really looked in the end. I also got a fine line tattoo of a family members writing. This one is better but still has parts that are darker than others or little lines that weren’t a part of the original writing. I hate writing this because the artist is so kind! But it really was just disappointing and I felt I needed to share.
