Experiencia fantástica: I recently got my first tattoo by Miranda, and I couldn't recommend her enough. From start to finish, the entire experience was flawless. Miranda is the definition of professionalism. She took the time to discuss my design, answer all my questions, and made sure I was completely comfortable with every step. As a first-timer, I was a little nervous, but her calm and reassuring demeanor immediately put me at ease. I felt completely safe and relaxed throughout the whole session. Beyond her wonderful bedside manner, Miranda is an incredibly talented artist. The work she produced is stunning and exceeded all my expectations. Her attention to detail is truly amazing, and I am absolutely in love with my new piece. Finally, I have to mention the shop itself. Platinum Koi is meticulously maintained. The whole studio was spotlessly clean and organized, which made the environment feel hygienic and trustworthy. Experiencia fantástica: Super helpful I got lost at the old location because uber app did not update Platinum Koi in there app to be Jordan lane location. The owner of the old university plaza was rude and yelled at me to get off his sidewalk at the old plaza while i have a cognitive disability and easily get lost he yelled "Take Your Disability Somewhere Else", and I was waiting for my family to pick me up from the plaza. The people on phone with Platinum Koi Tattoo stayed on the phone trying to help me explain where there current shop was! They are a super great and credible tattoo shop I will be getting my septum pierced with them soon!

Experiencia fantástica: i had done a lot of research on platinum koi but was never fully ready to get a tattoo. a week before graduation i remembered i said i wanted a tattoo before graduation. i knew what i wanted but i was scared. i walked in and had an appointment made for me the next day with jade. she is amazing!! she was very thorough when designing the layout of my tattoo. i told her that this was my first one and that i was a little scared but she talked me through everything step by step. the tattoo came out amazing and im very very happy with it!! jade, along with the whole staff, is absolutely amazing and i appreciate them for making my first tattoo experience as comfortable as it was. i would likely come back to get more!

Experiencia fantástica: So! I had an old large ugly tattoo that I needed to cover up and I saw Madison‘s work on Instagram. I had been meaning to cover up this tattoo for a while, and as fate would have it, his style seemed like the perfect way to get it done. I booked a consultation over Instagram and he responded and scheduled it in a timely manner. It has honestly been the best experience ever and what you would expect out of a professional tattoo ARTIST. He is seriously so talented, if you go to see him check out his other pieces in various mediums! When I arrived, we talked ideas and placement, and he explained the process of covering up the tattoo that he recommended. He also took the picture of my old tattoo and showed me some ideas he had then and there. I fully relinquished the reigns to him in regard to the actual piece. Based on his work, I he would create something beautiful, plus I was not picky and honestly trusted him to do whatever he thought was necessary to cover it up. Today I had my first session out of two and again, Madison really made it easy and comfortable. I had never sat through a tattoo for five hours and he offered lots of advice and boy was I glad I took it. He told me I should bring a pillow and blanket, which I had never done before. I thought It was dramatic but it really made the whole thing way more comfortable.Getting tattooed that long sucks but it’s always nice when you can have casual conversations with your tattoo artist. Also, his wife and son visited and they were the sweetest! Amazing artist, top-notch service, and couldn’t recommend more. Pictures to come!

He made sure I was comfortable and gave me breaks if I needed them. He has a light hand so the pain was minimal (except some spots are spicy on the back) overall, even with just the linework being done I left feeling more confident because the piece looks so amazing

Not just in the quality and cost of the piece but in how this business is ran. They perfected the balance of professional and personable. It was well organized, clean, looked/smelled nice but also everyone who worked there was so friendly it felt like a bunch of friends hanging out. Such a great atmosphere. Experiencia negativa: I went in Nov 2023 and saw Mars. Did not know at the time he was an apprentice. He may have grown at Platinum Koi since then but I went in for my very first time in my 49 years. I wanted to only go once. He made me feel awkward in not working with me to do the tattoo the way I wanted. It was personal and sentimel but I took it as though his artistic opinion was maybe something I needed to consider. I was not there for his artistic representation, I was there for my own tattoo for my body. I had the designs with me. It was simple but he said it would not flow right. I paid $277 for a simple design that was only partially what we went over. 8 months later I found someone else to complete my design the way I wanted who worked with me for an hour beforehand. I paid way less for more detail. She was nice, made me comfortable, and did what I wanted. I paid her more with a tip. This ended up costing me way more than it should have considering I should have been able to receive the service at Platinum Koi for what I paid the first time. I also had to wait awhile in a waiting room while another customer was with one of the artists with Noone working the desk and the doors shut to the tattoo room leaving me to feel unwelcome and unknowing of what to expect. I regret my choice in using Platinum Koi.

Experiencia fantástica: I had the best experience getting my most recent tattoo from Miranda! I needed to fill out the rest of my forearm so I told her I'd love any kind of plants and maybe a cat skull and she took that and ran with it! She provided more flower options than we even needed and I love how everything was placed! The tattooing experience was a breeze, 3 hours felt like only 1, we chatted most of the time and she is so fun! I love love love how the tattoo turned out, it's healed perfectly, and I'm already planning to get my next few from her if I can!

Experiencia fantástica: I recently got my ears pierced by Lisa and tattoo done by Erin. For the piercing, Lisa was very clear about what was going on in ever moment and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The piercings have healed nicely so far! For the tattoo, Erin worked with me on the design and it turned out beautifully! I will definitely come back to build my sleeve with Erin in the future! Experiencia positiva: Taki was amazing! And I REALLY mean exceptional. I went in for ear lobe piercings. She took her time explaining everything to me so I wouldn’t have as much anxiety. I have a history of fainting with needles and piercings and I told her upfront and she was super accommodating. Gave me papers with after-care instructions, funny little stickers, and some saline for cleaning. Leading up to the piercings she told me everything she was doing and never caught me off guard, and it helped with my nerves. She even had this squishy toy for me to hold while waiting, and a lifesaver to suck on to help with my sugar levels before the piercing. She gave my husband a hand fan for after the piercing when I was flushed and dizzy. And she let me recline so when i got dizzy I was able to lay there for a bit. It was overall a great experience and even though I got dizzy it couldn’t be helped completely; she made it as easy as possible and I loved that. She let me choose the earrings and had a lot of options. Gave me a lot of education on metal types that are good for your ears. She was super fun and personable. After I was done she had me lay on the couch with my feet propped up so I could get my bearings. The ONLY downside to my visit: the wait time. I had an appointment for 5:45 but I actually got in with her almost an hour later. There could have been many factors that contributed to that and I don’t know if that’s their normal, so I can only speak to my experience. Other than that, I loved this place and Taki. Oh, also, when I walked in, i felt like I was in a nerdy doctor’s office: it was super clean and professional but had a cool star wars statue, some decor, some shirts for sale, and whatnot.

All the artists there on the day I went were super cool. You could tell theres a mutual respect amongst them all. I highly recommend Platinum Koi and Madison Estes! Go book an appointment!

Experiencia negativa: I have been pierced by Taki and can’t say enough great things about her, she was fabulous. Always answered my questions and was all around lovely to get pierced by. My experience trying to get tattooed not so much. I reached out to Emily after filling out her form on the website. She reached out via email and advised she was pregnant and that we could get as much done on my piece as possible before she went on leave. I said cool, and she would schedule consults soon. I never heard back, emailed several times over 2.5 half months. Finally saying hey it’s cool if you don’t want to do the tattoo, but please point me in someone else’s direction. Again no response. Platinum koi posted on instagram she was booking, so I commented hey I tried to book with her and haven’t gotten a response. My comment was hidden, and she then immediately posted that she’s no longer taking clients until summer 2024. I’m trying to be sympathetic to her pregnancy, but customer service is lacking. Just a response really isn’t hard.

Experiencia fantástica: Madison Estes is the best. If you want a tattoo worth your money and and incredible person who is easy to vibe with and makes you super comfortable go to him!!! I cannot brag enough about his work. I am so proud of the work he has put on my body 10000000% will go to him for every other tattoo need. My tattoo is on my thigh and on my booty cheek and he made me so comfortable and asked multiple times if I was good. He is super professional!

I’ve worked with Madison Estes from the start and he has had delivered in every way possible. Easy to work with and talk to, AND has made my tattoo better than I ever imagined. He understands the ins and outs of his work and answers any questions with certainty. The rest of the artist you may come in contact with are super cool and very friendly. The shop is extremely professional and clean. I would 10/10 recommend giving them a go. I will definitely not look elsewhere for another artist. Can’t wait for my future appointments!

Experiencia fantástica: Madison Estes did a correction on a tattoo that I just wasn’t happy with! His artwork speaks for itself, so I gave him creative direction on making my tattoo larger, and implementing design elements that were cohesive and enhanced the original. He mapped out an awesome layout and got to work. I specifically wanted the color changed on it and he truly delivered! He really focuses on making sure the colors are vivid and stunning! It is ridiculous how much better he made my tattoo look! I could have never imagined this myself and I was so glad I put my trust in him.

Kat is literally the sweetest human to exist and if you are looking for a jammer she’s your gal! Madison, with talent literally oozing out of his fingertips is remarkable. His line work, attention to detail and color is beyond. But that’s not all, he is kind and has the sweetest manners that would melt a frozen heart. Rock has created a beautiful space and hired some of the best. I never enter without feeling welcomed or leave without a smile.

He was so calm and reassuring and made me feel comfortable even though I was a little nervous. He made sure he had enough time and was never rushed. He spent quite a while figuring out what I would like and took his time designing and sketching it out so I was happy with it. I absolutely love it. He’s extremely talented and hope to get another piece done by him sometime! The tattoo shop was very spacious and relaxing to be in. Very clean.

Experiencia fantástica: I got a (large) back piece cover up by Madison and I recommend him 1000%. His artwork is impeccable. Attention to detail, understanding of his craft and passion towards it is remarkable. I was nervous about this cover up because I had contemplated it for so long, but Madison made me feel confident every step of the way and never disappointed. He is also a laid back conversationalist (makes it so much easier to be tattooed when you can talk to your artist, but also when you don’t feel pressure to have to talk to your artist every minute). I had the pleasure of being in both the old studio and the new one! Both were very clean environments and I felt like all precautions were taken to maintain a sterile and safe environment for tattooing. Also the entire staff is top tier! They respect each other and genuinely enjoy eachother. They also made me feel very comfortable. It’s just a cool place to be chilling (while you’re getting inked). Madison is a spectacular artist, Platinum Koi is a great shop, and everyone is just really cool.
