Experiencia negativa: Visited this shop because I like their work online and they were open late however I was a little indecisive to be honest about what I wanted, but I decided on something beautiful. The owner told the artist that it would be $400 for a tattoo behind my ear. I understand that the price is the price but for $400 I was expecting something nice and detailed, but what I was getting was very simple and it had no color. The artist I was working with was very nice, but the owner was very rude by interrupting our conversation. While I was trying to decide if I wanted to pay $400 for a simple tattoo I was weighing my options out loud. The man came around with a raised voice and told me I needed to find another shop to go to, that would do that And to come back when they mess it up. I told them I will not be back because he is rude and I was just about to spend $300 at his shop. It seemed they do not have any experience with people of color because I wanted color in my tattoo but they said it wouldn’t look right. NeXT time I’ll go to a shop that specializes in black skin and not taking advantage of a customer or being rude to clients when they are trying to decided to do business with them or not. He asked thoughtful questions, offered creative suggestions, and made sure the design was exactly what I envisioned before we started. His attention to detail is insane every line is clean, the shading is flawless, and the overall composition looks even better than I imagined. He works with such precision and focus, but still keeps the vibe relaxed and easygoing, which made the whole session fly by. The studio was spotless, his equipment was clearly well-maintained, and he followed every safety and hygiene protocol to a T. On top of being an amazing artist, Zac is just genuinely cool to talk to. I came to him for all my pieces, I would give him my idea and vision and he made it happen, but way better then I could ever think of. Ju is very professional and takes pride in his work. Very easy to talk to during the session and makes sure you’re comfortable and taken care of before, during and after. Ju communicates very well when setting up appointments and creating the tattoo you always wanted. I’d highly recommend him for your B/G realism. Experiencia fantástica: Ju the Artist (Julian G.) at Revolution Ink really outdid himself. What he created on my arm isn’t just a tattoo. It’s a full-blown work of art. The detail, the shading, the way each panel flows together is next-level storytelling through ink. This was only my second tattoo and definitely a big one for a newbie, but Ju took care of me every step of the way. He walked me through the process, made sure I was comfortable, and brought serious confidence and calm to the whole experience. Ju’s precision and eye for composition are unmatched. He’s professional, easy to work with, and clearly passionate about his craft. The whole vibe at Revolution Ink was top tier. Great energy, clean environment, and real artistry. If you’re looking for someone who takes your idea and turns it into something even better than you imagined, Ju is that guy.

I had to adjust the shading of the tattoo a little bit (which I was completely fine with) because it would've taken a while and I would’ve needed to make an appointment. Brandon was super nice and professional, and he did a great job on my tattoo!

Experiencia negativa: Someone told me to visit, but based on these reviews, I won’t. The owner’s responses to dissatisfied patrons are absurd and grammatically incorrect. It’s both hilarious and unprofessional! It’s unfortunate that I won’t be giving them a try, but I’m sure they don’t care or are open to constructive criticism or ways to improve. I hope they remember that nothing lasts forever. Let’s see what unprofessional retort they leave under my review.

Experiencia negativa: Experience was awesome! Paid in full for piercing and the size down jewelry that I would later come to get installed 6 weeks later. When I contacted the shop to schedule an appt for smaller jewelry installation that I had already paid for- I was told the particular piercer(which they only had one at the time) had gone on some kind of hiatus to take care of personal issues which I understood. After several weeks of contacting the shop and the piercer still not back- I then was given her IG info to contact due to being told I could not get a refund since I was not able to come in and get size down jewelry installed. When I contacted the piercer via IG she did inform that she indeed had personal issues and that she could ship my size down jewelry. I was totally fine with that since I had already paid for it, easy fix! She obtained my address and unfortunately never sent the jewelry. This review is not to bash this business or “whine” about losing a mere $25, as it again was a great experience and one of the nicest shops I’ve been to and the ambiance and atmosphere is awesome! Hopefully there is a new piercer at this location now

Experiencia fantástica: Me and my mom did a walk in for matching tattoos. We received great service from start to finish. Indi was our tattoo artist. She worked with us on tattoo placements and sizes with no complaints and offered us great advice. She reassured us through the whole process and helped us feel extremely comfortable. She did phenomenal work on our fine line hummingbirds. 100% recommend her for any tattoos!

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely rude and condescending! Nothing against the artists because I never made it that far. I called ahead because I knew my arrival time was near close of business Friday Aug 9. I was told that as long as I arrived before closing it wouldn’t be an issue so I drove 35 mins to get a tattoo. Upon arrival, I entered an empty lobby and announced that I had just called. The sturdy blonde girl working the counter rolled her eyes and said we get a lot of calls. I began to describe the tattoo I wanted which, compared to my previous tattoos, seemed a simple concept. I was asked multiple questions in a condescending and boldly rude tone which all alluded to the time and her not wanting to stay late. I tried to patiently answer those questions, establish that I could sit for the duration of what was needed , and ensure that I was not asking for anything complex and that I couldn’t imagine it being more than an hour to hour and a half sitting. She stated “ well I guess you’re the expert here” with an astonishing attitude and walked away from the counter. The brunette girl at the counter immediately stepped in to salvage the possible sale with an obvious recognition of how sideways the first interaction went. She was more polite but still obvious in her desire to be done for the night and told us it would be better to schedule a session at a later time. My wife and two others were with me and were astonished at how disrespectful the entire interaction was. Ultimately, if it had just been stated during my call that they would not want to stay later than the business hours the whole thing could’ve been avoided and I would’ve completely understood. The overt disrespect from the first girl was absolutely inexcusable as the face of your business and there is zero chance I will ever return or refer anyone to your business.

Experiencia negativa: We walked out bc they wanted to charge $350 for quartersized tattoos. They also refused to do design that we wanted. One artist was super nice. The manager was not!

Experiencia negativa: I paid in full to an "artist" that was previously at a different shop and I was told what I paid would be honored and for about 2 months I'd continue to be pushed off and rescheduled then I finally got a appointment that they didn't reschedule but I was pushed back 3 hours last minute then once I finally got into the room I was told that my deposit from the previous place didn't count and if didn't tip enough to cover it I was going to get rescheduled or just canceled so now I'm stuck with an unfinished tattoo and have to find and pay someone else to finish, brought this to the owners attention and he hasn't done anything about and hasn't gotten back to me about anything this was roughly 2 weeks ago

Experiencia fantástica: I started a sleeve in May of 2023 and we just finished this month. I used ADAM EAST and I can 100% say that he is one of the best in the business!!! Communication is important and he is always communicating! The work done on my arm is amazing!!! Wish I could give 100 stars! Best place in the state! Ask for ADAM EAST!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: As for the shop itself I love the layout. There are individual rooms unlike a lot of shops where everyone is just in one area. Savannah is the artist I use and she is absolutely wonderful. Everytime she exceeds any expectation I may have and I look forward to continuing to work with her. Everywhere I go I get complimented on the work she has done. I see a lot of people complaining about price. As with all things in life you get what you pay for. There are many places you can go and get cheaper tattoos. I'd rather pay $$$ for quality art. I have a 20$ tattoo from somewhere else, and guess what? It looks like a 20$ tattoo.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m in progress currently with a neck/ chest piece with Sid Hubbard, with the intention to add onto it with an arm blast over and some little coverups. When first walking into the shop you are greeted with kind and knowledgeable individuals at the front desk and a comfortable cozy vibe with the whole shop. Everything is clean, not cluttered or filled with weird trinkets and art like some shops are. Sid and Jeff both are kind and talked to me the whole appointment, but are straightforward and professional. Sid did a freehand stencil after explaining to me the process of drawing, outlining and contouring everything to what I already had on both of my arms and back. I couldn’t be happier with the tattoo, and she was encouraging the whole way. Seriously recommend her or Jeff to do your big scale or weird area tattoos. She’s probably the only one I’d trust to continue to do those types of tattoos. I look forward to being back!!

Experiencia negativa: PART. 1 I’ve been a customer of this place for over 10 years and I have never missed an appointment. I have now an unfinished tattoo from Jeffrey and a very bad tattoo from Sid. An apprentice that was charging just shy of $200 an hour… it took me a minute to even bring this to Jeffrey’s attention due to his horrible personality but it was the opposite, he understood exactly how bad the tattoo was and told me he was going to fix it, he also told me that he was going to fix an old Koi fish tattoo thathe did over 10 years ago. Mind you, I don’t care about new tattoos, I needed to fix what Sid did to my arm. But I let him tattoo me since he was being extremely nice about it. He told me he wasn’t going to charge me to fix the Koi tattoo nor what Sid did but I was going to charged for any untouched skin. He even went down to $200 because he realized what the mistake was with Sid’s tattoo. Of course, I ended up paying for every single hour worked on my Koi and took almost a hour lunch that I also paid each session (i didn’t ask for it the koi to be fixed nor he finished it) all I wanted to Sid’s tattoo fixed. He scheduled me for 2 appointments and each appointment he had his desk person call me couple days before to confirm the appointment. He made sure the 2 appointments were within 60 days of each. Then he realizes that a 3rd appointment is going to be needed because he has yet to attempt to work on fixing Sid’s tattoo. So he puts my name for January 4th 2023 (over 6 months later) on the left side of his calendar so whenever somebody cancels or he has the time, they will let me know… now here is the situation, I had an accident and shattered my collarbone mid December and went through surgery a week later and I’m in pain medication, nobody in Revolution Ink called me to remind me of the appoint just like every previous appointment and I’m sure it is a best practice from the store to call about confirming appointments.

Experiencia fantástica: I would like to start my review off by saying before you take someone’s review into consideration make sure they actually received a tattoo. Not those who posted about staff etc. The shop is clean, and staff is welcoming. It’s a tattoo shop so it’s about business not them doing small talk with you. We came in June and brought in a reference photo. The receptionist recommended an artist who specialized in what we wanted. Savanna was booked until November so we took her first available and book two days. We traveled for the tattoo and booked a room. We booked matching tattoos, and yesterday was my appointment and my husband is currently being tattooed. The tattoos are reasonably priced. You’re paying for the quality of work and the ink quality. Ink quality is important! I have a low tolerance for pain and I had no problems at all. I highly recommend Savanna. I also recommend doing what we did show the receptionist a reference photo so they can direct you to the artist that specializes in what you want, and also do what we did give the artist free creative control. You won’t be disappointed. Again, when it comes to reviews make sure the person actually utilized the business not just walked-in and left.

The employees were very friendly and courteous, and I had a nice chat about the ramifications of visible head tattoos before they'd agree to tattoo me. Experiencia fantástica: I wanted a tattoo of my grandmothers handwriting from a card she gave me. Josh did my tattoo and it looks exactly like the card. Josh also did a design my brother made and it also looked just how my brother did it. Josh was wonderful and would definitely recommend him and go back to him! The whole process was fast and simple.

This place is absolutely perfect, the quality is unbeatable, and everyone there is so kind and helpful. I came in last Thursday as a walk in and Chris did my tattoo and his work is incredible. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it even from other tattoo artists stating how good of a job he did!! They asked for a reference picture and what size and where I wanted it. Took them about ten mins to get it draw up and then he got started. Not sure how to spell his name but brian(bryan?) did it. Highly disrespectful and walked away saying “G*d D@mn” because they weren’t doing the best job of answering questions. Experiencia fantástica: my experience at revolution ink was practically perfect. booking is easy, simple, and fair. i was able to get a quick response from savanna and my appointment was scheduled within a couple of weeks. upon arrival i was greeted with kindness and professionalism. the atmosphere of the shop was incredible and you can tell cleanliness is a top priority. this was my first bigger piece tattoo and didn’t have a clear vision of what i was wanting. i gave savanna a pretty broad, and arguably vague, description of what i was looking for and she brought a gorgeous piece to life for me. the tattoo process was a breeze, savanna treated me with courtesy and i felt very relaxed and comfortable the entire time. i am very pleased with the entire experience and will definitely be back, absolutely worth a 2 hour drive.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I were walk-ins on a Tuesday night. Our tattoos haven't healed yet, but I can say that it was a pleasure working with Michelle and the shop was clean and comfortable. I felt safe and everyone there that I walked to was friendly. I look forward to working with Michelle again in the future!

Experiencia negativa: Literally just had the worst experience. Jeffrey is usually my tattoo artist. Most of the time he does great work. This time he was too focused on helping his girlfriend tattoo another employee that he wasn’t really paying attention to what I asked for. Even tho it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, it was still beautiful and I wanted him to finish. While he was still working, his girlfriend came over and started critiquing his work. Really letting him know that he didn’t use the right flower on me. I started to shed a tear bc I felt the same way and this is a tattoo that’s on me for the rest of my life. He stormed out, DIDN’T FINISH MY TATTOO and banned me from the shop because of his ego And pride. I was still going to gladly pay for the work he did. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced. I don’t recommend anybody going there anymore. He’s rude to his employees.. everybody is whispering with each other bc they’re scared to talk too loud.. it’s crazy and extremely sad.

Experiencia fantástica: I just got my first tattoo with Michele! First of all, she is AMAZING! The place is very clean and super professional. Everyone there was so nice! Michele is highly skilled and so fast. It looks perfect and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend Revolution Ink! It’s definitely my favorite tattoo!

Experiencia fantástica: This is a very reputable shop for a reason. They've got great artists here. Chaz is great at what he does and will tell you if a certain piercing would work for you or not. The tattoo artists all do amazing work and they're open for walk ins for most weekends. I love coming here. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new tattoo shop to try out.

Experiencia fantástica: Shout out to Revolution Ink for providing a level of customer service I have never experienced before now. Shout to Michele V, my tattoo artist, for adding to the professionalism through good conversation and an awesome tattoo. Shout out to the guy (didn't get his name, no disrespect) that work the front desk for his attention to as it relates to each customer in the shop, he had a lobby full and treated each of us with same level of professional customer service. From the time I walked in to the time I left, I never uncomfortable. On a scale of one to ten...it is a TEN for me. Let me say this, I've been in a lot of tattoo shops, but I have never been in a shop as clean as this, nor have I ever been in a shop that is decorated like an art gallery. Keep setting the bar high for these other shop. Peace

The staff explained to us why they would not recommend what we originally wanted and why. They came up with an absolutely beautiful drawing and we loved it better than our original idea. I will definitely be recommending them and coming back for my next tattoo

I’ve done tons of research on tattoo shops and artists and Revolution Ink is by far the best! I would highly recommend them after being there. All the artists have such amazing work. Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely love Chaz! He has done 6 piercings for me and is the only piercer I will let near me! I've had bad experiences other places in Bham so I was hesitant to try again, but Chaz completely exceeded my expectations. He did a correction on an old damaged piercing, and helped me treat a bump that came up after one of my piercings. He responded to my crazy DMs at weird hours during the shut down and got it taken care of fast! Excellent and professional work! Getting ready for more!!!!

Josh did a great job of making sure that I got what I wanted and his work is something I am very proud to wear. I will update the photo when the work is fully healed. Experiencia fantástica: The shop is plush. Beautiful art and modern furniture. Someone approaches you fast and no signing forms you use a tablet! They have beautiful body jewelry. Very high end. Travis did my ears and nostril. I was afraid but he was so sweet and put me at ease. No tears or flinching. I will be back for more but more ink is on the way.

He & his assistant were professional, kind, & informative while being careful to keep everything sterile, which I appreciated as I'm immunocompromised. I got a dairh piercing, a nasal piercing, & a naval piercing that they helped me pick the jewelry for to present a cohesive look. I'll definitely be back!

Each artist has their own room, so you have privacy. The staff is extremely friendly as well. My artist was Megan Carroll (@megancarrolltattoo) and her personality is so awesome! This was my first tattoo and I'm confident I won't be going anywhere else for my next. **Also highly recommend for those who suffer from anxiety. They make sure you're comfortable.

Service is always greeted with a hello making it feel like home vs out of place. Got the Mrs a piercing while getting some work done by Chaz's protégé (forgot his name). The guy was friendly and very welcoming. Talked safety, caring instructions and was very prideful of his work, work area and overall client at hand!

Experiencia fantástica: Got my 1st nose piercing here a week ago today! Chaz was very professional and explained the entire process to me beforehand. They're a little pricey for this service but overall it was a good experience. I really liked how clean this business was on the inside and how they were visibly sanitizing down the rooms and everything behind each customer.

Experiencia fantástica: DON'T LET THE NAME FOOL YA I would be remissed if I didn't write up a stellar review for this establishment after having such a negative experience at Stay Gold Alabama (probably shouldn't mention the two names in the same sentence). Chaz & Travis were the utmost professional and created a relaxed environment for my experience. They provided all the necessary information forehand and were kool as hell when I arrived. I didn't have to stand outside & wait, ask a ton of questions, etc... I was also astonished at the art decor on the inside. The place is classy folks and I would recommend anyone who wants a top notch pierce or ink laced on their body to cruise down to Revolution Ink.

Experiencia fantástica: I literally just got my septum pierced here and it was a marvelous and quick experience. Chaz and his apprentice were an amazing pair to walk me through my first piercing I ever received that wasn’t at a Claire’s Boutique at the mall. I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this place because while it was very professional and clean, I also kinda felt like I was at a house party. Chaz was very kind. He even wiped some of my tears away for me and I felt it deep in my soul. Something about this place has major Lost Boys vibes. You know? The vampire movie from the 80s. I promise that is a compliment coming from me. I loved this place, and I will definitely be giving them my business again in the near future.
