Experiencia fantástica: Leight is absolutely amazing! From the very start of booking, she was incredibly helpful and communicative. When I arrived, she was accommodating, and the shop was spotless with a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. She worked with me to perfect my design and provided multiple size options to ensure the perfect fit. During the tattoo, she made sure I was comfortable the entire time, her light, gentle hand made the experience as painless as any tattoo can be. The final result is stunning; her work is truly beautiful. I can’t wait to return for my next tattoo!

Experiencia fantástica: “You drove 4 hours to Tampa and 4 hours back for a 5 minute tattoo?!” Yes. Yes, I did. And I am so glad I did. The tattoo I got is a simple: an initial in fine line. It is the kind of tattoo that most people would not pay any mind to or take all too seriously… but not Jared. From our very first interaction, he showed me he cared, he listened, and when I can down with strep the day before our initial appointment, he was incredibly kind as he rescheduled me with ease. On the actual day of my appointment he was there at the exact time of our appointment and was there to help execute the consent forms. I got the same amount of care and attention that the large pieces were getting, all while getting to enjoy the amazing atmosphere of the studio. Jared, wizard that he is, had such a light touch that my first (and only) tattoo felt like I was being brushed with the end of a paperclip. I meant it when I say it that I have had manicures more painful than this tattoo. Thank you, Jared, and thank you polar for being amazing and for taking my experience seriously where others maybe wouldn’t have done so.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been dreaming of a certain tattoo idea for a while now but just finally got around to getting booked. After looking everywhere I finally found polar tattoo and the wonderful Leight. She designed exactly what I wanted and made it better than I ever could have imagined. Not only is she talented, she is friendly and patient. She made me feel comfortable and I actually had a pretty relaxing 5 hours despite having a needle in my thigh. It was a great experience and I can tell the others are wonderful too! I am now unfortunately addicted and cannot wait until I can get more.

Experiencia fantástica: I was recommended to go to this shop from my cousin for a possible tattoo while I was in town for 4 days. The appointment request form is very easy to fill out online, and I received a response very quickly. My appointment was yesterday, and I really had a great time. Jordy took my rough idea and made the tattoo design so much better than I’d ever imagined. She was very friendly and easy to work with. Additionally, the whole staff were fun and amicable. My tattoo was about 2.5 hours long and I was comfortable the whole time. Jordy even provided some after care instructions. Overall, a wonderful experience, and would love to come back whenever I’m in town again.

Experiencia fantástica: I am obsessed with my tattoo from Jared. He combined two of his flash tattoos into one tattoo and I can’t stop looking at it. The environment was so welcoming and it felt like I had been there before (this was my first time btw). Everyone was so friendly. I’ll be booking again I’ll edit to add the photo once it’s healed, but it’s sooooo good you’ll want to book asap.

Experiencia fantástica: I got a tattoo with Jared and I am beyond happy. I had a rough idea for a tattoo but I wasn’t sure about the design I wanted, so he really took the time to work with me and come up with the one that felt just right! Once we designed it, he started tattooing and he was super time efficient, but what really surprised me is how gentle he is with the needle. This didn’t really hurt and leaving the shop, my arm wasn’t irritated at all. This picture was taken 24 hours after the tattoo was done and there’s not leaks or anything like that. I am very surprised with the healing process. I would a 100% recommend Jared to friends and family and I would be back for other tattoos in the future.

Since I first visited Polar, back when they wwre off Bruce B Downs, Ive only ever gone back for all my tattoos. Great vibe, clean establishment, solid collection of artists with different styles. Special shout out to Mack, shes done my cover up and plenty of other tattoos.

I booked the appointment with a reference photo that needed some editing and was very pleased that when I came in, the stencil was exactly what I wanted, and that the piece was executed incredibly and is high quality and well detailed. I loved my experience here and everyone in the studio was very welcoming and kind! Thank you guys for the amazing visit, and I hope to return soon!

Experiencia fantástica: I have gotten tattooed by Jared twice and have nothing but nice things to say about him and his studio. My first tattoo was done by him and he ensured I was more than comfortable throughout the process. My most recent tattoo was also done by him and it turned out great. He even showed up to do my tattoo after having a really hard morning and did not let it affect his ability to put his all into his work. Would definitely recommend him and his tattoo studio!

Experiencia negativa: Polar Tattoo in Tampa should feel ashamed and reconsider having Mack as a tattoo artist. She brings the business down not only with the hateful things she posts on Instagram, but also with her constant rescheduling and pushing appointments back. Polar claims to be a safe space for everyone, yet Mack continually posts on Instagram about how she hates anyone who has a different opinion than her or simply if they’re a man. It’s pretty ironic that she claims to hate men so much when the owner of Polar, Jared, is a man and an amazing human being. I’m sure Mack will screenshot this review and say that “I’m a scam” or that “I’ve never had any work done by her,” but that’s a lie. I got a tattoo from Mack about a year ago. She rescheduled me three times, and on the actual appointment day she pushed me back two hours. The entire session, she just talked negatively. However, Mack’s conduct both in scheduling and in her public presence undermines the professionalism that clients should expect from a shop of this caliber.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a tattoo done By Jared and let me just say that it was not just a tattoo, this was an EXPERIENCE! Jared made me a forever customer that day. He really was able to narrow down my vision and make it come to life! He is a phenomenal tattoo artist in multiple areas, but his Anime tattoos are out of this world. It has only been a few weeks and I am ready to schedule my next appointment! My vision here was Igris from Solo Leveling. Something unique, clean, detailed, and with great focus one line work. Jared not only reached my expectations, he surpassed them! This is 2 weeks into healing :)

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been getting tattooed by Jared since I was 18, and I’m now 20. He has done almost all of my tattoos. He always makes sure I’m comfortable and happy with everything. He takes the time to make any tweaks to the designs as many times as needed and never makes you feel bad for being "picky" or "complicated." I’ve compared his artwork to other artists’, and honestly, it doesn’t compare. There are no blowouts and no fading — even with my oldest tattoo. You honestly get what u pay for his art is a beautiful investment that last a life time!

Experiencia negativa: Really disappointed with my visit to Polar Tattoo Studio. The vibe felt unwelcoming from the moment I walked in — the staff barely acknowledged me and acted like I was bothering them by asking questions. The artist seemed distracted and rushed through the design process without taking the time to understand what I actually wanted. The final tattoo looked nothing like the reference I showed, and the lines were shaky and uneven. For the price I paid, I expected way more professionalism and attention to detail. Definitely not coming back or recommending to anyone.

I live in Orlando so it's always an hours drive to get there but omg it's so worth it. I had a tattoo artist in the past who didn't listen to me or my input on how I wanted my tattoo but Meli is absolutely nothing like that. She is a true artist and wants to make her clients happy. Absolutely obsessed with her and her work. Everyone working there is so nice and they all add to a great atmosphere in the shop. I recommend Meli and polar tattoo shop to all of my friends. I went to get the linework done on a large chest piece by Courtney (@swamp.witch.tattoos on insta) and she is so incredibly skilled and patient. Although I requested to change the design for a custom piece a couple of times she was insanely understanding. The vibes were immaculate from everybody there, so respectful of everyone’s wishes and made the experience so comfortable. Even asked if I needed water or snacks upon entering! Seriously everyone is so sweet. Excited to come back for my next session!!

Experiencia negativa: I’d never step foot in this place ever again. I wanted to get my pieces done by 3 different artist at this shop, but either they wouldn’t respond or would referred me to the apprentice, so I trusted their judgement and did just that. I’m so embarrassed by the work. Dude scarred me so bad that you can actually feel the book piece and as you can see it’s muddy, ink blur and the arrow is just garbage lining. Charged me a crazy prices too for these. Been trying to find a cover up tattoo artist who can help me fix this mess. Smh.

Experiencia negativa: Paid $100 for the booking fee with Mack and was told the earliest date was a month ahead. At first she didn’t even put me on the schedule until I reminded her a week before asking if the sketch was done, then she rescheduled me 3 weeks later on a Wednesday and I lost a weekend spot. An hour before that appointment she told me that she needed more time to work on the sketch(A whole arm sleeve that we had multiple convos talking about and knew about for over 2 months) and moved me to that Sunday. She then told me an hour before that she was busy that day. Sorry excuse for a business owner idk about the other artist but Mack was extremely unprofessional.

Experiencia fantástica: (my artist was the excellent, lovely jordy @jordy.tats) february 6th, 2025 everyone within this studio was incredibly gentle, inclusive, understanding, and automatically went above and beyond every expectation— truly the most sick, talented group of artists that deserve every bit of praise and recognition. jordy ensured i was 100% comfortable, confident, and informed about every step of her process; she is so wonderful. i am pleased with every minute aspect of her work and could never find the right words to recommend her enough.

She is extremely kind and you can tell she loves what she does. She constantly made sure I was comfortable every step of the way! Experiencia fantástica: I got tattooed by Jared the owner of the shop I started following their page about 2 years ago and have been wanting a piece from Jared ever since and saw he posted a flash piece and I absolutely fell in love with her ! I drove in from Ocala!! The tattoo took about 6 hours and the whole time we had amazing conversation and he dealt with me having to move around and take breaks and not once did he act annoyed like I’ve experienced before not to mention the atmosphere of the shop is beyond amazing and have great snacks and music ! I can’t wait to have Jared tattoo me more ! Also side note I get constant compliments on her and have gotten told “I’ve never seen a tattoo so well done before”

Experiencia fantástica: Last month I got my first tattoo! The studio was so welcoming and bright and fun. I felt super comfortable from the moment I arrived even though I was nervous and didn’t know what to fully expect from the experience as I’d never gotten a tattoo before. My artist was Leight, who was incredibly patient and warm. Her design was exactly what I was looking for and she worked with me to make sure it came out perfectly. I got a small single needle tattoo of my two dogs. I would highly recommend her for all your pet portrait tattoo needs and definitely check out this studio!

My wife and I wanted our daughter’s handwriting and we were tattooed by Bones. They had such a gentle hand, very knowledgeable, and great conversation! Definitely will be returning! Great spot!

Mack is my go-to for the large piece I’m working on (that will probably take years because of pricing and size) and is AMAZING with color. One of my favorite things to do is to have a general idea of what I want but to give the tattoo artist freedom to express their art while designing it by not dictating every minute detail. Mack came up with a beautiful idea for my tattoo and I can’t wait for it to be complete!

She does a great job at making you feel at ease while in the chair. She was able to bring my vision to life and most certainly exceeded my expectations. Experiencia fantástica: I found Mack by chance one day while browsing Instagram and I am so glad that I did. I was initially intrigued by her realistic snack tattoos, which I wasn't aware were even a thing until then, and decided to check out the rest of her portfolio. She gave me the unique flamingo tattoo that I've been wanting! A beautifully rendered realistic flamingo skull surrounded by neotraditional style flamingo flowers. I fell in love with the design when I saw the first draft of the sketch, fell a bit deeper in love with it with each iteration, and somehow it turned out even better than I could have imagined. In addition to her not inconsiderable artistic talents, she is also possibly the nicest artist I've ever sat through a tattoo with. I cannot recommend her highly enough so, if you're thinking about a tattoo, stop reading this review and reach out to Mack already!

She made every step fun and explained everything she was doing and made it such a fun process. She did an AMAZING job. Her fine line work is executed beautifully. I’m already planning on returning to her. I HIGHLY recommend her and Polar Tattoo!!

I felt so comfortable talking to him like we were lifelong friends, and the quality of the tattoo is INCREDIBLE. I'm so excited to be going back soon for my next appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: Jared is the absolute best! He is so caring and puts 100 percent into every tattoo he does. I love how kindhearted he is. My husband and I forgot our paw prints for our tattoo and he let us go home to get them and was so understanding. Our pup passed away and he wanted it to be perfect. It’s also very clean and calming in the tattoo studio. I can see why tattoos are addicting with all the talent there! Thank you so much

Experiencia fantástica: I am so happy with my experience at Polar Tattoo! I got a bouquet of tulips tattooed last year that has healed beautifully. The staff there is always so kind and welcoming, really focusing on client comfort. Leight has done both of my last two tattoos and is so wonderful to work with. They do an incredible job making sure you’re doing okay throughout your whole appointment. I really appreciate the atmosphere being so warm and kind. You can also very obviously see that they pride themselves in cleanliness from the moment you walk in the door. I highly recommend this studio to anyone, especially someone looking for somewhere safe to get their first tattoo.

I have always had a great time getting inked by him :) The first time I booked a tattoo at Polar I was super nervous to try someone new, but JD welcomed me with open arms. He is very kind and personable and I love the conversations we have! His work is some of the best. I would def recommend him for any new or already tattooed clients! You’re the best, dude!

Experiencia fantástica: Double update :) Leight has become my go-to artist. They consistently do a phenomenal job on each piece and always are so kind and patient in figuring out the best design and placement (even if that means moving the stencil around a few times lol). The whole group at Polar has a great vibe and everyone is so welcoming. Added some additional pictures of pieces done by Leight (the frog, the rain cloud). We're working on a large scale floral piece on my back currently so more to come! Update! I have been back to Polar twice since my original post and been tattooed by Leight, who is just a lovely and talented person! They are so kind and patient with making sure the placement and design are just what I want and I've been so happy with the two pieces I've gotten from them (see additional photos of my dog's portrait and the text tattoo) Everyone at Polar is so welcoming and helpful. I have been tattooed by both Jared (about a year ago) and Beltane (this past week) and they are amazing at what they do! The environment is very clean and chill. Definitely recommend this shop and these artists

Experiencia negativa: Honestly I’ve gotten 2 tattoos and a touch up here with the same artist and I don’t think I’ll ever come back. Prices were outrages $650 for a 3 inch piece of sparkles??? I genuinely feel like I was taken advantage of because it was my first tattoo. The artist was late for 3/4 appointments not to mention the amount of rescheduling that had to be done to even get a set date for an appointment. The assistant took my deposit and sent a confirmation for receiving the deposit but never actually scheduled the appointment. For my second appointment, I showed up on time but when I got there the artist was just starting her previous appointment, I had to wait an additional 2 hours but once she was done with those clients she wanted to eat before starting my appointment. Then during the tattoo she decided that she was done and I would need to schedule another appointment to finish up the last hour of work. Overall extremely unprofessional and terrible experience. I did so much research and read so many reviews trying to find the perfect tattoo artist for me, who I could come back to over and over again. But I guess this place really is just a Instagram vs. reality experience.

Experiencia fantástica: If you're debating who to choose as an artist for your next tattoo, I would highly recommend Alyssa Rose at Polar Tattoo Studio. I waited several years to find the perfect artist and couldn't ask for a better experience at Polar Tattoo Studio. Alyssa does incredible work and I could not be happier with my results. She was very dedicated to giving me exactly what I wanted and made sure that I was completely comfortable making suggestions, asking questions, and throughout our entire session. 10/10

Experiencia fantástica: I got a tattoo done by Challis and it was hands down the best experience!! She was super professional and sanitary and made sure to thoroughly explain every step of the process. I've never felt more heard from a tattoo artist, she was so patient and genuinely didn't mind taking time to make the stencil perfect and ensure I was 100% happy with it :) Challis is super welcoming and sooo funny which made the appointment fun and comforting! I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!!

Experiencia fantástica: I had an appointment with Chalis last week and she did an excellent job, not only on the tattoo, but with the entire process beforehand. She took a simple sketch I made and worked with me to turn it into a design I liked as well as helping me with figuring out the size and placement of the tattoo as well. The studio itself is clean and has a very welcoming atmosphere, and all of the other staff there was polite with a variety unique personalities and tattoo styles that can easily be observed by looking at the different work areas

He made the whole experience enjoyable! Gave him what I wanted included and he knocked it out of the park. Cannot thank him enough for bringing my memorial piece to life

Experiencia fantástica: Went to Polar Tattoo after finding Challis on instagram and loving her work. She exceeded expectations and has since given me three tattoos that I am absolutely obsessed with. Challis really makes the experience so welcoming and fun, I can’t wait for many more tattoos to come.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been getting tattooed for a few years by different tattoo artist and I can honestly say that my experience with Alyssa at Polar Tattoo has topped every previous experience. First off all, the studio alone is a vibe but the experience with Alyssa was everything. I’m not much of a talker when I get tatted but she made me feel EXTREMELY comfortable and I loved our convo. Her focus to detail and approach to her art work is amazing. I can finally say that I have found my favorite tattoo artist! I can’t wait for my next session!
