Experiencia fantástica: Couldn't ask for a better experience!!! I sent pictures to Chels of the tattoo I wanted and she customized it to fit my foot, and made it an original. I was pretty nervous when I got to my appointment. But Chels made me feel at ease instantly, she made me feel special. She is truly a gem. My tattoo is absolutely beautiful!!! So much detail and the shading is amazing! It is so realistic. Im absolutely in love with it! I cant thank you enough Chels for the incredible experience!

Experiencia fantástica: Chels is very rude and unprofessional. Her skill level is inconsistent with how much she overcharges. She asked me for $100 at a consult and we hadn’t talked for five minutes. She didn’t send the sketch until an hour before the appointment four days later and refused to give back the “deposit.” I love this tattoo shop and the artists here are very friendly and talented with the exception of her. I’ve had some great work done by a previous artist. So I would suggest anyone else who works here. She’s not very nice and I didn’t appreciate how hostile she was about my cancellation once I saw the sketch. She essentially scammed me $100 and never gave my money back.

Experiencia negativa: I want to share my personal experience so others can make an informed decision. I recently got a tattoo at Gypsie soul tattoo by chels Johnson and, unfortunately, it didn’t turn out as I had hoped. The finished piece looked very different from what I expected, and I was disappointed with the overall quality of the linework and shading. I expressed my concerns to the artist right after the appointment, explaining that I wasn’t happy with how it turned out, especially considering the quoted price of $300. The artist offered to have me come back for a touch-up, but after thinking about it, I didn’t feel comfortable returning. I asked for a partial refund instead, but was told I’d only be refunded $40. This is just my honest experience — others may have different results, but I personally wouldn’t go back based on how my tattoo turned out and how my concerns were handled.

Experiencia fantástica: My sister and I flew in from out of town and decided to get matching tattoos while we were here, and The Gypsie Soul Tattoo did not disappoint! They were so welcoming and accommodating, allowing us to walk in without an appointment. The team got our designs together super quickly, and we were in and out in no time without feeling rushed. Tim Hudson was awesome!!!! He made us both feel comfortable, nailed our designs exactly how we wanted them, and his attention to detail was top-notch. The shop itself has a great vibe. Experiencia negativa: Never again. This place had me in tears my tattoo was SO bad. I covered it and hated it for years. I finally went to Mercy tattoo for help and they were able to make me LOVE this terrible tattoo. I spent 800$ on a tattoo that I had to go to another shop to fix. Paid her 250$ plus 150$ tip because i was so greatful.

I really like the digital paperwork process. Easy to use and maneuver, even for this old bat. I'm 52. I haven't had ink for 10+ years. As soon as I saw this shop, I was immediately drawn to it. My artist Sam Crawley was fantastic and my 3 tattoos, line work, only took approximately 30 minutes. I was shocked. He was very thorough and gave detailed healing instructions. Thank you for a fantastic, super easy, experience. The next time I get an itch for some more ink, I will hands down only come here.

Experiencia positiva: This place is great, my sister and I came in as two walk ins near closing time, and Sam took care of us and did a great job. Knocking off one star, however, as there was another employee there (I believe his name was Tim) who was unnecessarily aggressive and made us both uncomfortable with his remarks and behavior. The establishment was otherwise very professional and clean and we were well taken care of.

This was after the second session, still some work to go, but what a difference! Highly recommend his work, as well as everyone else in the shop! Experiencia negativa: My Special Needs son got his 2nd tattoo from Ian Dennis and on the 3rd session he did the wrong bible verse. Ian and the owner of the shop tried to make it my son's fault. He provided Ian the script on at least 3 occasions. Now irreparable damage and excuses time for Ian to pony up insurance and retire. That was Not John 3:16

Experiencia fantástica: Super cute shop, and amazing artists! Joe (@tatgunjoe on Instagram) did my New School otter thigh tattoo and we won in a local tattoo competition! Joe put a TON of work into the design and made sure it was personalized, even though all I asked was that an otter was included. Everyone I’ve met from the shop has been incredibly nice and NOT egocentric - which is sometimes hard to find when it comes to tattoo artists. Highly recommend this shop to anyone wanting an amazing personalized tattoo from some amazing individuals.

Experiencia fantástica: The majority of my art work is from Arjay Smith, her use of color is amazing and the artist touches she advises and then adds that my tattoos have been not only spot on but have added to my overall tattoo aesthetic. I’ve know big Steve for many years and only recently decided to have him put his artwork on my body, not because I don’t like it but because his art is so similar to Arjay. He does however do one thing very differently and that is his skulls. Lastly, although I have not yet received a tattoo from her Teddi does amazing work, I have also followed her for years. I do recommend her. There are many artists at this shop that I have not known for years but I have never had a bad interaction at the shop and many artists share their work as it is being applied. I have never heard an artist be over critical of anyone else’s work. It’s a good sign if you like artists that are constantly trying to improve. The apprentice pool works hard to earn their stripes and are treated well from what I have seen. The shop is decorated beautifully with a nice old world golden aesthetic, it’s quite a nice shop to wait in while your artist is busy.

Experiencia fantástica: I can't say enough about ArJay! I found her 3 years ago from walk in and have had her do so many of my pieces since. My newest is a memorial piece to my mom. Our song was I Got You Babe. I talked it through with ArJay and she came up with this colorful lava lamp. I am absolutely in love with it. She is personable, friendly and fun to talk to. I recommend all my friends to go to her.

She treated me and my friend with impeccable professionalism and patience and was thorough and quick. She finished both of our tattoos behind our ears and my tattoo in three and a half hours and exuded friendliness and compassion the entire time. She always executes my vision and is still open to discussing if there is something to revise, which, because of her expert eye and communication skills, doesn't happen very often. Her aftercare is great and her instructions are clear on how to take care of the tattoo, and she accommodates for whatever allergies, or disorders, I have. Her talent is immense and she is a delight!

I felt comfortable asking and he was completely cool to tweak a few things on the sketch, was passionate and excited, plus he even had treats on hand! Steve also took the time to follow up with me a few days later to how the piece was healing. I'll definitely be going back for future work.

We came in as walk ins on a Sunday afternoon and they got us in super fast and we ended up getting even more tattoos than anticipated since we liked his work so much! He is amazingly talented and also so nice. I feel like I'm talking to a friend every time I've gotten to work with him. And I get compliments on the watercolor tattoo he created for me all the time! At first when we showed up there were no artists available, but then we were contacted by Ian wanting to get us scheduled. We were only in town for a very short time and he was able to work us into his schedule and give us the most amazing sand dollar tattoos. Will most definitely be returning for more work in the future. From the cleanliness of the shop to the friendly apprentices and artists in the shop, the atmosphere from the time you walk in the door is inviting and comfortable. Worst thing we went through. Ian got us in and drew up an amazing piece to show off our love and little one. He was so much fun to talk to and honest which helped. He gave us something we will never forget. He was so willing to stay late to get these done for us. He made us feel welcomed and showed us we can trust him with such a special part of our life. By far the most sanitary artist I have ever been too! I was thankful. During the piece he educated us on what he was doing and why. Very clean lines and shading! By far one of my favorite pieces I have!!! I highly recommend going to Ian! You won’t regret it and you’ll have art that you actually want and love. Keep up the amazing work Ian! He was well worth waiting 2 hours for him to finish with his current client. He takes his time, makes you laugh and makes sure our sketch was exactly what we wanted. He threw a couple of his own ideas out and they were fantastic. Both our tattoos were better than originally planned. He made the sessions a lot of fun and it felt like we were hanging out with a friend we had know forever. We would both highly recommend Nick to anyone! He was fun to work with and is an amazing artist!

Josh is my artist and has been for a couple years now, but honestly all the artists I’ve met there are so talented and they all have such a good vibe! The shop is always clean and the apprentices are awesome with coming by and seeing if anyone needs anything while checking things out and asking questions/getting feedback from the other artists. 10/10 recommend

Experiencia fantástica: I got a tattoo from Ian Dennis, who works at this shop. It was at the Three Rivers Tattoo Convention in Washington, so my review isn't for the shop, but for Ian as an artist. The minute you look at his portfolios you can see that he is a VERY talented artist who is so incredibly versatile. But it goes beyond that. He is funny, engaging, and professional. He drew up my tattoo in almost no time at all and it was exactly what I wanted. During the tattoo (over two days totaling about four hours) he made sure I was as comfortable as possible and didn't get frustrated when I needed to change how I was sitting or needed a break. I look forward to the next time I can get a tattoo from him! I will post a photo on this review after it's healed a bit.

Experiencia fantástica: Emily is by FAR the only person I trust to tattoo me! She makes such an effort to make sure I’m comfortable and taken care of. Em has a beautiful way of making people feel at home at her while in the studio and always takes the time to make sure I’m happy with her work! Her passion for creativity shows in every sketch and her attention to detail always follows lead. Whether it’s color, fine line or cowboy hats; I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a large cross brand that I wanted covered up on my bicep. There was pretty significant scar tissue and uneven skin and Will McCoy did an incredible job with it, you can't even really tell it's there anymore! He took my idea for a bear in the woods scene and made it his own while still giving me exactly what I wanted. Super interesting and nice dude to talk to. His whole setup was extremely clean and we'll maintained. Will definitely be going back!

She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me the most adorable little animal cookies. I've never felt more comfortable with a tattoo artist. Go get some of her amazing art on your body stat!

Experiencia fantástica: The only reason why Will hasn’t done all of my tattoos is because sometimes he wasn’t available for a walk in. He’s my favorite. He makes you feel comfortable, and he gives input with his own twist. It always turns out perfect. Super nice guy that tries to pretend like he’s not a teddy bear. 100% recommend

Experiencia fantástica: Emily tattooed me and I cannot recommend her and the shop enough! The atmosphere is chill, accepting, and not at all intimidating. This is the first tattoo where I’ve never plugged in my headphones because I was enjoying talking to Emily and the apprentices so much. A great shop full of talented and friendly folks.

Experiencia fantástica: I got a tattoo from Emily and she is AMAZING! Her artwork is stunning and so fun and I was thrilled to get this unicorn piece from her. I've only ever been to one other artist who I love so much I was nervous about "cheating on her" and not having as great an experience elsewhere. Thankfully I had nothing at all to worry about. Emily is professional and thoughtful, making sure you're comfortable and know what she's doing, plus she's so friendly and easy to talk to. I was surprised just how fast yet precise she was. I thought the color filling would be painful so I didn't even realize when she was done because it wasn't painful at all! I love my tattoo so much and would definitely go back to Emily for more if she'll have me! (the photo is around 6 months healed)

Experiencia fantástica: Today I was tattooed by Will McCoy. I loved the experience of the whole shop! The atmosphere was kind and inclusive and everyone was very friendly. My experience with Will was the best part though. I wanted to get a memorial tattoo for my late father, and Will was extremely kind and helpful with the design. He took the time to really flesh out the details for me and give me a really great tattoo that helped me with my grief. Will was able to pull details and give me the exact tattoo I wanted even though I didn’t truly know what I wanted. Great detail and great experience!!

Not only was she understanding of any breaks or accommodations needed, she explained how the tattooing process works and what tools she was using. You can really tell she is passionate about her work and helping her clients. 10/10 experience, conversation, and final result. I can definitely see myself going back to her in the future.

While getting tattooed she made sure that I was comfortable and she let me take as many breaks as I needed. I’m so happy with how my tattoo came out and will be getting tattooed from her again!

She always makes sure i am having a safe and enjoyable experience and constantly is checking in with me. The shop is so clean and pleasant to be in and they are always playing good music. I would 9000% recommend Emily to any and every person looking for a sick tat. Will definitely be “back” for more!!!
