Experiencia negativa: It was fine i guess. Not the best at making light conversation and making anybody with anxiety feel okay, kinda straight forward which isn’t a bad thing. My main problem is that they made one of my nipple piercings a little bit side ways compared to the other one, kinda disappointed and its too late. It irks me, kinda like when u do press on nail and one of them is sideways so its gonna drive me insane. maybe better to go to a different piercing place, maybe one that focuses better on the customer.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently went to get a nasal piercing and an eyebrow piercing. Needless to say, it was very quick and relatively painless. The anticipation hurt more. Even afterwords, very little pain. My eye did bruise a little bit, but that was to be expected! The room I was pierced in was very clean, and my piercer was very friendly. I believe the cost was around $130 for both piercings. In contrast from their website, Tues—Fri does allow for piercing walk-ins! Though, do expect a wait time.. I waited around an hour but that was ENTIRELY my fault for not booking an appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a good experience here on two different occasions, when we did ear and nose piercing for my daughter. My daughter had a nose piercing that was almost closed and I was concerned about repiercing. They patiently addressed all my questions related to repiercing, which made us feel comfortable about the whole process. The place itself is neat and well sanitized and they do have a good collection of jewelry. My daughter was surprised that the piercing didn't hurt that much and gave it a 2/10 on the pain scale. We would definitely recommend this place and will make use of their services if needed in the future as well.

Experiencia negativa: Let me start off by saying I have been coming here since 2018 and have never had a bad experience until today. I have gotten all of my lobes (6 piercings total), my industrial, my helix, and my nose pierced here. This appointment specifically was for a helix and lobe jewelry change. First off, the person behind the counter (a person with dark brown facial hair, a lip piercing, and a grey beanie) was very rude, telling me my boyfriend who had a coffee i just bought needed to leave. I totally understand the no food or drink policy as it is a piercing business, but what I don’t understand is why i needed the reminder 3 times before he even had a chance to hear and walk out the door, and why my friend who was with me was told that she could not have a sealed water bottle with her while she was getting her piercings changed in case she got at all light headed. Then, after waiting for nearly an hour, the jewelry they put in my helix was way too small. The entire experience was painful and my ear has swelled up around the hoop they put in it. I needed to change it back immediately after getting home. Needless to say, I am disappointed in my experience.

My piercer was awesome, he took the time to explain the process to me and to check in on how I was doing. Excellent job! Even took out a ruler to measure my ears to ensure the piercings would be symmetrical. Professional, timely, and friendly. This is a great place.

I can't lie I'm a pretty timid person and planned to hold my peace regarding this shop, but decided it was in no one's best interest to keep this to myself after hearing more and more negative stories about this shop, and more specifically about the piercer Ish. I have been a long time customer at piercing emporium, Marc (owner) pierced my ears as a kid and I have trusted this shop time and time again with nearly all of my body mods. In recent years, especially since getting more "non traditional" piercings, I have been disappointed time and time again. My most recent piercing, which was done in August, was done completely without my knowledge or consent. I had come to have a piercing looked at, and Ish and I had discussed returning in a month to once again repierce a poorly placed piercing (which he also pierced.) This also would have been my 3rd time redoing this one piercing for repeated issues and improper/shallow placement. Ish asked me to lay back so he could remove my jewelry and feel the tissue around my eyebrow. Ish let me know he can definitely repierce it, and then did it in that very moment. I was not expecting a needle in my face as again, we discussed coming back A MONTH LATER. I had just come from work after a long, sweaty, summer shift.... and my face was not cleaned, there was no iodine, not even an alcohol swab, there was no prep, no discussion, I was completely unprepared and quite honestly felt and still feel violated. Not only did I not consent, but the piercing was placed even further from where Ish and I had discussed placement, and was essentially on the bridge of my nose. I had it removed by a different piercer at a different shop the following day and had a lovely experience. The piercer who eventually repierced my eyebrows was much more informed, aware of risks, and let me know of what steps we can take to ensure the best route for my piercings possible - this is not treatment I EVER received at Piercing Emporium. I think Ish, and the staff at Piercing Emporium are still great at what they do, but only for the basics. If you are looking to have anything done out of the ordinary, do your own research and find someone who can actually talk about the piercing they're performing. And if you want to save yourself unnecessary arguments and headaches... just avoid this place.

Experiencia negativa: I used to visit the Piercing Emporium for years it was always my go-to spot. It had been about six years since my last visit, and I don’t know what’s happened since then, but wow… this place has gone downhill. I stopped in recently to ask a few questions about setting up an appointment, and I’ve never experienced customer service that bad in my life. Whoever they have working the front was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. I honestly couldn’t even tell if it was a man or woman, but whoever that person is, they’re ruining what used to be a solid, reputable shop. I won’t be returning ever.

I walked in nervous, trying to hype myself up to finally get my septum pierced—after 20 years of wanting it and bailing—and the woman at the counter immediately jumped into action. No pressure, just pure guidance and a patient tone. I regret not catching her name because she was so kind as I nervously rambled my way through picking the jewelry that was about to live in my nose. She and another gentleman offered their expert opinions, reassured me through my panic, and helped me land on a piece. While waiting for the piercer (stylist? artist? nose wizard?), I sat watching Bob’s Burgers on their TVs—literally my favorite show ever. At that point, I knew the universe was telling me I was in good hands. Enter Ismael, who came out to check the jewelry. Plot twist: as a newbie, the piece wouldn’t work (cue dramatic sigh). He asked to check my nose situation and came back with even better news—the smaller piece I wanted when I first walked in was an option! The whole crew—me, counter girl, and another staff member—celebrated over it. What is that now, 11/10? I followed Ismael into the room where he explained everything with patience, kindness, and humor. He asked if another piercer could observe, and of course I said yes and in comes another kind soul (at this point I was convinced everyone there was just born nice). We all chatted casually, he showed her his process, told me to take a breath and—bim, bam, boom—it was done. Twenty years of stressing… gone in 45 seconds. And honestly? I’ve plucked eyebrow hairs that hurt worse.

Experiencia fantástica: Going back to Piercing Emporium after 8 years and having the same dude who pierced me before was an immediate green flag. I have never had a less than amazing experience at this place. Clean, efficient, and professional. A solid business I will continue to rave about and recommend to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: Called to make an Appointment. Was told by the girl on the phone who booked the appointment that we could bring a guest as long as they were over 18. Arrived to the appointment and was told the store policy said no guests. I informed the person checking us in that the girl who booked the appointment told us we could bring a guest so I was confused . I’ve always brought a guest when I’ve been pierced here, as recently as May or June of this year I brought a guest with me. The guy told me that I misheard her.. which is not true as she was on speaker when she was explaining the rules and I had two other people that heard her say that. Then I was told this girl who booked the appointment was new and that I needed to stop arguing with him and move on with the appointment. I couldn’t believe he kept cutting me off and not hearing me out. I wasn’t rude, or upset. I was just trying to explain that their staff told us we could bring a guest. I asked for my refund and walked out. I went to miraculous creations down the street and had a wonderful experience. Very poor front end customer service here. Even the response to this review is unprofessional. Not once was there an apology for the misunderstanding, just blame game. I won’t be back, even though I’ve been coming here for years. Also, please see this screenshot from their website, saying one guest per piercee. We had two people getting pierced, one that was going to be a guest but asked to be pierced once we were getting checked in. 3 customers lost because you couldn’t say sorry lol Edit: adding a screenshot of the original rude response to my review before they edited it.

Experiencia negativa: Poor customer service will always get me to not go somewhere. Reading reviews on how the manager or owner responds to customers shows the level of professionalism they have. Learn to apologize and have good customer service. I was wanting a new piercing but will not be coming here.

Experiencia negativa: it was such a fustrating experience trying to get one freaking piercing. i had to come back 3 times just to get the piercing bc they kept saying there was some issue with something. they then made 2 of our family members to stand outside of the building (we were 4 people) even though there were more than enough seats in the waiting room for all 4 of us. they seemed super condescending and rude. they also need to fix their appointment system. i went on a saturday and was told that it was appointment only and was going to take 2 hours for a walk in so i went home and went on their website and tried to make an appointment from the number that was given. i called upwards of 20 times trying to get in contact with them but the line kept disconnecting within 2 rings. when i then went in the next time i told them this and the worker helping me basically said “yeah that just means that the line is busy, the call just ends.” okay then make it easier to freaking make an appointment. super fustrating. i used to come here often, i have gotten 6 piercings from them and it was totally fine and the piercers were great but in the past year or so it seems like they have just gotten worse and the people in the front have gotten more attitude. wont be coming again for future piercings.

One month into my piercing trying to heal I knew something was wrong so I came here to the piercing Emporium in Worcester to have them look at it. Very professional, very patient, very helpful, very knowledgeable and I highly recommend this establishment. The piercer inspected the piercing and asked me some questions. He explained to me why my piercing was not healing properly and he made a recommendation. I picked out a nice piece of jewelry from their showcase. He took out the old cheap incorrect curved barbell the other piercing shop had put into my ear and replaced it with a very nice diamond stud. He explained to me in detail how to care for my piercing, which is something the other shop did not do.

Experiencia negativa: This place really feels like a pump and dump of a peircing place, ive been here three times and every time the place has tried to rush me through even when wanting to look at jewelry. The first time i went here i wanted to start gauging my ears and they sold me a gauge in the same size i was peirced at. My boyfriend got his helix done and they gave him a super short post after telling them he swells super hard and they still gave him the short post. The next week we had to back because his ear was swelling over the backing, they charged for cleaning and the new jewelry which i understand but then it swelled past the new post given because of how irrated the skin is. We went back the next to get it removed and they charged him again to clean and remove it. I understand thwy cant stop the reaction but if they listened from the beginning this wouldnt have happened in the first place. They have a good selection but it is honestly super over priced and they will probably just rush you through looking at options.

Experiencia fantástica: Billy was awesome doing my conch today! Listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and overall had 11/10 customer service while I was there. Very friendly and kind! I've gotten lobes, rook, and now a conch there and always recommend anyone to come here when they comment on my earrings. They do require a $40 deposit that goes towards your service before you show, which is good, because I probably would have flaked if the deposit wasn't there as I was nervous! Overall it was $120 with jewelry. Love this place!

Experiencia negativa: I had heard only good things about this place, but my experience was the complete opposite. The selection was terrible—barely any nose rings, lip rings, or even basic earrings. It felt like a total waste of time. If you’re looking for variety or anything trendy, you’re better off going to mall stores like Claire’s or Spencer’s for stainless steal. They offer way more styles, colors, and piercing options. This shop was disappointing and definitely not worth the hype at all.!!!! Don’t waste your time!!

Experiencia fantástica: Very cautiously went here as I had my lip pierced twice before at other shops, both were pierced incorrectly and caused a lot of irritation. The piercer was extremely understanding, knowledgeable and confident. Third time is the charm I’ve had the piercing for over a month now and it is doing great. They also have an awesome jewelry selection with a huge range of prices for anyone’s needs. Will never go to a different piercing shop after experiencing piercing emporium.

She was a little nervous, but her nerves were calmed by the staff who answered her questions so calmly and treated her like a young adult. Experiencia fantástica: I have been experiencing what I think is an allergy to my gold earrings so I came here to get some more sensitive-skin friendly earrings for my first hole, finally put earrings back into my second hole and finally put a cute piece in my 15-year old cartilage, I got the best service at the jewelry counter from a very knowledgeable staff member who’s name I didn’t catch, and lots of patience while I took my time looking over all the jewelry options. I didn’t feel rushed or like I was wasting time like jewelry buying experiences often feel, very patient and chill. Then, Billy put everything in for me and gave me some piercing care advice. Billy was very gentle, kind, explained everything step by step and measured each piercing to properly size each post so they would be comfortable. I was part of the “Claire’s uneven or poorly placed piercings club” but I felt respected, not-judged & in good hands. If I were to get a piercing again I would deff come here! Price was awesome too for 5 new pieces of jewelry and putting them all in it was perfect! Thanks!!

Experiencia fantástica: We just got my 7 year olds ears pierced at Piercing Emporium. It was her decision and she REALLY wanted them done but I knew she would still be so nervous. When we got in the room she started getting super hot and feeling faint. She immediately got the best treatment and they got a cold pack for her and let her chill for a minute. Not one second did we feel forced or rushed. She was able to take the time to calm down herself and then when asked again she said she was ready! They did both at once and it was quick and so easy! They took awesome care for her after and had her sit with a lollipop to make sure she was good. So impressed and so happy with our experience!!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to Piercing Emporium for 10+ years for various piercings, and I have never been disappointed. I went to another piercing shop closer to me in Western MA that has a really good reputation online, and they absolutely botched and industrial piercing for me. Long story short, Loli at Piercing Emporium swept up and saved the day! I met with her for a second opinion and she informed me I did not have the anatomy and helped me remove the piercing ASAP. She was extremely kind, has a great bedside manner, and made me feel comfortable with the situation that I was in. Thankfully I am left with just a small scar, but if I waited longer it could have been much worse. Loli helped me curate and plan out some new ear piercings, and a few months later I was back in to get them done. She was extremely fast and precise and even took the time to help me pick out new jewelry. I can't say enough good things about Piercing Emporium!

Experiencia fantástica: I took my daughter here after a collision with her brother resulted in her earring becoming imbedded in her ear. I could not for the life of me get the back of the earrings off. As a last resort, I took her to this location to see if they could swap the earrings out for something that wouldn’t become imbedded in her ear. The man with the long hair explained the best jewelry for her, a round pair of earrings with flat backs. My daughter was petrified. Mark was the man who got the earrings out. My daughter cried in fear and screamed in pain (the earring had pushed so hard into her ear that it had created a second piercing, so she was understandably in some discomfort from it), but he was so patient and understanding with her and took the time to explain to me how her earrings weren’t good for her. Moving forward, I will only consult with this location for my daughter’s next pair of earrings. Everyone was kind, professional, and highly knowledgeable, and we both went home with the peace of mind that the pair of earrings that were swapped out will not cause this injury to her ear to happen again. It is worth the money I spent, and I would have gladly paid more for the time, attention, and compassion we received.

Experiencia fantástica: Update: do not let the short man with piercings and brown hair pierce you. He has pierced me twice and didn't listen to where I wanted the piercing both times. I would really honestly only go with Marc/the owner for a piercing. Some of the staff are rude, but piercers and tattoo artists have a sense of entitlement I've always found. I recently went to the woman with the bright red/pink hair and they were great. They took their time and were very patient. The short guy was super rough and felt like he repierced my piercing when changing the post and jewelry. Super friendly! Very very patient and caring while being pierced and helping me pick out my jewelry the new place is really nice too. 5:45pm on a Monday was perfect! No wait!!! TONS OF JEWELERY SELECTION.

Experiencia negativa: Pretty vague with prices online, which makes sense because they charge double the price of other places. The desk clerks calculate the total using mental math and seem to need to correct themselves sometimes, at least they did when calculating my total. Other than that, everything was clean and sanitary.

Experiencia fantástica: Although the service never wound up happening, that's exactly why I'm giving them 5 stars. My daughter has been asking for her ears pierced and after a lot of conversations I decided to find where to get it done (as a victim of the Claire's era, I wanted to do better by my daughter). My tattoo studio (which doesn't do Minor Piercings) and a friend both recommended Piercing Emporium in Worcester. Calling to make the appointment was super easy. Made the hour drive from Boston, and everyone was super friendly. Nice wide selection of jewelry, all aesthetics and price points. After filling out the waiver we went back to the room and the piercer explained he wasn't going to do anything she didn't want and no one would force her /she was in charge. Unfortunately I think she got cold feet so when I asked if she still wanted to pierce her ears today, she said no, and so we left. Everyone was very nice about it and respected her choice and didn't make us feel badly for wasting their time. When she's ready in the future, we will definitely come back here based on the experience.

Experiencia negativa: They don't list their prices online, so I emailed them and was quoted a set price for two piercings. I came into my appointment with what I thought would be enough money. I was then rung up and about to pay, but a miraculous extra $25 was added to the price total. They did let me try to figure out the total on my own for a good 90 minutes, while staring at me the entire time having a panic attack. I then asked to speak to the manager and have him explain to me why in the email it said one price and then I was rung up for a totally different price. He talked to me like I was an infant and then asked me 4 times in a row "What do you not understand about what I said in the email" repeatedly! I'll never go to their business again. They talk to you like you're brain dead and in kindergarten.

Experiencia fantástica: My 7-year-old became interested in having her ears pierced after seeing someone get theirs done at Claire's. I (past microbiologist) wasn't thrilled about the idea of having her ears pierced at Claire's, and so I started asking around for recommendations. My acupuncturist recommended Piercing Emporium in Worcester. Even though it was a bit of a drive for us, I'm thrilled that we chose them. We have two other little ladies at home, and we will only use Piercing Emporium when/if they decide they want their ears pierced. For the review: I sent her with my husband (a sterilization engineer) because my onion-cutting eyes were dampening my kiddo's excitement. Not that I was upset she was having them done, it was just such a milestone! Anyway, I'll summarize the best I can from what he told me. First, the total experience of two techs plus earrings cost $117. I found this to be very reasonable, especially given the sanitation requirements and expertise. Second, the facility was very clean. He described it like being at a doctor's office. It was a private room, and everything - including the marker - was disposable. This made me feel very comfortable with the whole operation. Having spent a lot of time around true sterilization, it's both expensive and requires a lot of testing to ensure the equipment is behaving appropriately. Third, the appointment scheduling was very flexible. We're homeschoolers, so we were able to get a same-day appointment. If you're taking a kiddo, note that they require an appointment for anyone under 10. As for the service, the guys were fantastic. My daughter is typically leery of men, but felt comfortable enough with them to let them pierce her ears, and even came home with an "I actually liked them." Said daughter is also usually very pain intolerant. This girl will totally melt over the slightest discomfort. The whole thing took less than two seconds, and she didn't even flinch. The holes are amazingly symmetrical, and she's beaming. I should add that they use needles instead of the gun, and this is likely gentler on the tissues. I will still probably give her some Arnica before bed, though. Additionally, the follow-up information is very thorough. I was pleased to see nutrient recommendations to improve healing. Another thing of importance here is that the recommendations for recovery have changed over time. When I had my piercings done lots of years ago, the standard of care was hydrogen peroxide, lots of twisting, and a 6-week recovery period. The new recommendation (for ears!) is 6 months, and no peroxide or twisting. They send all the information via e-mail, but it's just an important consideration if you have a special occasion in the next 6 months to pick studs that'll work with whatever you're planning. They were very professional and spent one on one time with us. Provided detail instructions for the piercing itself and after care. My piercer Billy was extremely thorough, walked me through all the steps and was so kind and knowledgeable! At the end of my appointment when I asked his opinion on my next ear piercings, he took his time and even looked at the anatomy of my ear to tell me what would work and what wouldn’t! I even took notes!! I had a great experience and I’ll definitely be back for more.

I specifically go to Mark for all my piercings, he is a pleasure, very professional, walks you through every step that’s about to happen and has a very calm demeanor to him. Experiencia positiva: I initially called the studio to ask if I’d be able to make an appointment for later on that evening to get my ear lobes pierced. The employee on the phone assured me that there was availability left but that he would have to call me back to make an appointment so I left my name and number. Hours went by and I received nothing, so I decided to drive there anyways with my friend. The employee who was responsible for not calling me back did apologize and kindly directed me to pick out jewelry for my piercing. When I was told how much I was being charged, I was in shock - $125 if I remember correctly? I asked the employee what exactly I was being charged for and his response was pretty vague. Even the receipt didn’t include specifics on the charges that made up the final price. Either way, I decided to go through with the payment so that’s on me. Just felt it was pretty overpriced. Also feel like they should list their prices for their services somewhere where it’s visible beforehand, whether that be on their site or posted at the physical location. While I was waiting, I thought it would be best to take out the current jewelry in my ear in order to make more room for the piercer. I was then called out by another employee to not take out my jewelry because it was a “sanitary issue”. They know best so I’m not arguing with his request but I thought it was a bit dramatic considering I wasn’t near anybody or touching anything around me. Either way, I felt he could’ve privately approached me instead of embarrassing me by calling me out in front of other guests. May not seem like a huge deal but I’m just an anxious person and would’ve preferred for it to have been handled differently. In terms of the piercing itself, I never got it done because the piercer refused as I had gotten my earlobes cosmetically repaired previously. My surgeon recommended me to wait three months before getting them repierced and it was well past that time frame but the piercer still advised against it and suggested different placement which I wasn’t a fan of. Not to say that she did anything wrong, I just felt like the whole thing was kind of an inconvenience. Probably could have been avoided had I mentioned my situation on the phone, just didn’t think it was that big of a deal especially since I waited the recommended amount of time, or so I thought. At the end of the day though, I did appreciate her looking out for me and suggesting a safer route. On the brighter side, Billy was extremely comforting and charismatic as I watched him change out my friend’s piercing for her. I’ve had good experiences here before, unfortunately this trip just did not go accordingly in some aspects. I was never called back initially, the whole pricing situation took me by surprise, I felt uncomfortable after being called out, and didn’t even end up getting what I went there for. Wasn’t a terrible experience and I understand some of it was out of their control, just wanted to include a few suggestions. I also just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is in a similar boat with the cosmetic repair.

Experiencia positiva: This was a good piercing experience I’ve had. I have had over 13 piercings, so I have been to a few piercing studios. The wait on a Saturday was shocking (2 hours for the call list) but well worth it. I went in for my 5 year old to get her ears pierced, I also had my ears done. They take their time with every client to make sure the client has the experience they are looking for. They provided supplies for care of the piercings. They confirmed with me and the 5 year old that she wanted her ears pierced, hooray for informed consent and body autonomy. They offered to do the 5 year olds ears tandem, which I greatly appreciated and accepted. They went over aftercare, and asked at every step if either of us had questions. If you and your child are getting pierced, you will need a second adult to take the child while you are being pierced, not a big deal but good to know ahead of time. I recommend as a good, clean choice.

Experiencia fantástica: I went Saturday 3/24 with one of my friends. We were both getting pierced. Our nerves were sky high due to the piercing we were getting. Knowing Marc on a closer level I had hoped he would be the one assisting . Nope.. no Saturdays. We both got tandem piercings from Ishmael and a fantastic girl with half shaved head ? Let me tell you when my nerves left me the left me. Ishmael has the most calming demeanor and he made me feel so comfortable . Experiencia fantástica: I went in today with the intention of getting a nose piercing. Unfortunately, the jewelry and my nose turned out to be a bad anatomical fit for this type of piercing. Marc and two other staff members answered all my questions with candor and professionalism. They could have made an easy sale, but they provided detailed information related to what to expect during the healing process which ultimately made me realize it's just not the right choice for me. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and courtesy the whole staff extended to me.

For my daughter to have her 2nd lobe done..we had a loooong wait (little over 2 hours)..however the staff was SUPER friendly and very knowledgeable. Best of Worcester for sure! *Update-7/25/23-came back for my daughter's septum piercing today (i had my tregs done about a year ago here also) and again I'm so impressed with the level of knowledge, care, and detail these guys take with each client- which is why they are the BEST and will continue to be our place to get pierced!!! *Update #2 -1/23/24 Came back to get my forward Helix and my child wanted anti-brow and eyebrow piercing and as always Mark and the entire crew were beyond professional, accommodating, and did a perfect job! Experiencia fantástica: Very clean and friendly atmosphere! Took my 9 year old to get her ears pierced for the first time and the staff was very good with her. I got my nose pierced at the same time. I walked in thinking we would have maybe 10 options to choose from but there was hundreds of jewelry peices to pick. Anywhere from real gems to simple studs. Extremely happy with the experience. If I HAD to complain about something, it would be that the prices for the jewelry arent posted. But again, they had a huge range to choose from the gentleman helping us was very helpful!

I always regret forgetting to ask their names so I can leave a specific review, but frankly they’re all amazing. I’ve been a customer for many years now and have had a piercing from every member there and the knowledge, patience and skill of all of them make the process easy and quick. I’ve also followed up in an email with concerns with a healing piercing and their reply was quick, informative, and very helpful. Love them!
