Experiencia fantástica: Always such a good experience walking in here. Haley at the front desk is so sweet, welcoming, and helpful. My tattoo artist Lina was so amazing and professional. I let her choose how to color in my tattoo and she did a wonderful job. She’s super talented, and took her time. Gave me good aftercare instructions. The shop itself is very clean. I will be coming back for my next piece!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been coming to American Tattoo Society for around 3 years now to get my piercings, it's the only shop I trust Sam and Bri are always amazing and friendly they know exactly what they are doing and they tell you every step of the piercing or change out process. They also will fix any piercing for free if there is an issue. Every one in this shop are very friendly and the shop is clean and professional. This will always be where I put my trust as far as piercings and tattoos!!

Experiencia negativa: I am still in tears writing this. I have had several piercings before, but I have never experienced pain like this. Please note: I did NOT come in for a new piercing, I came in only for a jewelry change. What should have been a simple change turned into a traumatic experience. In hindsight, there were several red flags I wish I had listened to. The first was when the piercer, Sam, came out from the back already wearing gloves. She then left the room with the same gloves on to get tools to change my tragus jewelry. Another concern was that she did not even know whether the jewelry I brought in was sterile. That alone should have stopped the process. What was supposed to be a quick jewelry change turned into what felt like a full-blown piercing, and I am now in an extreme amount of pain. This experience was completely unacceptable and very distressing. I do not recommend this place to anyone for piercings or even jewelry change-outs. I am now just praying the pain subsides and that my ear heals properly. Please do not risk it.

Experiencia fantástica: Me and my friend went to get pierced today and the service was just incredible. Front desk was friendly and our piercer was amazing. She took the time to answer all of our questions, make us feel comfortable, and she did an excellent job. I’m typically very nervous before getting a piercing but she talked me through it and was just amazing. I’ll be getting the rest of my piercings here from now on. 10/10 would recommend

Experiencia negativa: I recently got my nose and eyebrow done by Sam. I wanted both piercings to be even with my previous ones and unfortunately I did not get that experience. I’m extremely disappointed with the experience all around and will not be returning to this shop.

Experiencia fantástica: Had an amazing experience with these guys at the Villain Arts Tattoo Convention in Raleigh this weekend and walked away with an award winning tattoo from an amazing artist as well as had the pleasure of meeting all their team while I sat for my tattoo which took just over 11 hours to finish. Josh Gallants work is truly incredible and he was able to fully cover my old tattoos and give me some phenomenal ink as well. Highly recommend these guys if you are even remotely close to their shop in Fayetteville! We finished 4th place at the Conventions Competition for "Best Tattoo of the Day" and their aftercare instructions are very comprehensive and you can really tell they want your ink to be something you can be proud of for life! Thank you so much y'all and am excited for more!!!

She did my first tattoo which was a memorial tattoo for my grandparents & I couldn’t have asked for anyone better than her. Her personality is golden & she will definitely see me again! I scheduled my appointment 2 months in advance but I ended up asking her if I could do it a few days earlier than scheduled. She had off work the day I reached out to her but she told me she would come in for me that day anyhow which shows how much she loves her job & wants to please all of her clients. Experiencia fantástica: Sam pierced my 5yr old’s ears and was so so patient. The first ear was quick and easy, but then my girl didn’t want her 2nd ear done. After some convincing and Sam talking to her in such a sweet and calming voice, she got it done. I would highly recommend going to ATS and requesting Sam.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my 6 month old in for her first ear piercings,with Sam and I also received a tragus and nostril piercing she was friendly,quick, and very informative about everything she was doing! Experiencia negativa: Absolutely hoorid experience with the peircer Sam. What should have been a simple jewelry change turned into 30+ minutes of her digging around with a taper trying to find the hole only for to end up useing a needle to re-peirce the hole so freaking crooked the peircing is now ruined. This means removing the jewlery , waiting for it to heal and having to get it re-done by someone who actually knows what they are doing. Sam should in no way be touching people with a needle....ever. The insurmountable amount of pain she caused and the unforgivable level of unprofessional from Sam is mind blowing.

Experiencia positiva: I don't want to leave a 1 star because it's not the shop as a whole, their front counter staff is always very polite, and I haven't had any problems with any of their staff I've interacted with before, but for the love of everything do NOT go see their piercer Sam. 10+ years of getting pierced and 30+ piercings later and I have never left an experience so absolutely baffled and livid. I went to just get a jewelry swap on a set of Dahlia piercings that Bri (who is an absolute godsend in the piercing world and has done almost 20 of my piercings, never once have I had a bad experience or complaint with any of her work) had done 2 days prior for longer posts. She removed the posts before placing tapers, spent minutes digging in my face trying to get both the tapers and jewelry back in, and yanked around the clamp attached to the jewelry in my face, at one point dropping the clamp while still attached to the jewelry in my face and almost sending me out of the chair in pain (to which she showed no concern for whatsoever). People make fun of me for never flinching, but I have never been in so much pain during any piercing or jewelry swapping process. She ended up repiercing the second Dahlia unbelievably crooked when she couldn't get the taper in, and the exit point is nowhere near where the old one was. I walked in with 2 perfectly placed piercings that I was very happy with and walked out in near tears with an incredibly crooked piercing that I have to hope I can salvage and have fixed, when it was just supposed to be a simple jewelry swap. I don't want to write this out of anger, and I don't want to just post a nasty hateful review, but anyone who values themselves within the body mod and piercing community should be informed about who they may be trusting with their bodies. I have seen quite a few different people before finding Bri, who I swear by with piercings and will never (especially now) see anyone else, and have never had such a negative experience as the one I just walked out of with Sam. And to get immediately defensive and try to argue with someone when they point out it's crooked (which it VERY obviously is) is just a big red flag to me, the body of your client should always be more important to you than your ego as a piercer.

Edit: came in for an eyebrow piercing, was pierced by sam and she was extremely thorough in explaining the healing and taking proper care of it. also went with my friend and she got a sternum tattoo from Cory, he was professional and did a great job on her tattoo :D wont go anywhere else for tattoos and piercings

Also my apologies for forgetting the names, but the ladies at the counter were also very lovely and sociable, really helped with my anxiety that was skyrocketing lol! EDIT: July,27 2025- went back with a friend to get another tattoo, on my chest this time , had Cory the tattoo artist ( an absolute doll mind you), made me feel super comfortable and confident. Lady at the counter with the dermal was super nice talking to my friend about her past tattoos. Absolutely adore y’all, Mwah mwah ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: Chris T. is an absolute wizard with a tattoo machine. He’s got that classic American traditional style down to a science—every line is clean, bold. As a woman, walking into a tattoo shop can sometimes feel a little intimidating. Chris creates a totally comfortable, welcoming vibe- energy to match our own— killer art and good conversation. My husband and I have been getting tattooed by Chris for the past four years, and we’re basically one more session away from just putting him in our family Christmas card.

I got a great tattoo done only negative was one of the workers not respecting my pain tolerance and talking shit to my boy up in the front while I was getting my tattoo. Doesn’t bother me much but I was getting my second tattoo and it was a big piece in a painful area and I did it in one session, I personally don’t care that he was being a dick but it’s just a unprofessional look for the business on his behalf.

Unfortunately, once the tegaderm came off and I could see the line work I was NOT happy with the end result. Got it fixed somewhere else a few weeks later. Waste of $200 plus tip. Won’t be back.

Got my nose pierced by Sam who was wonderful and very patient with me as needles and pain are not a part of my game! Experiencia negativa: The owner is so incredibly rude, passive aggressive, and condescending. I posted a review the other day about how I was pierced with the wrong earrings and they called me the next day saying they could switch the earrings out for the right ones. I go back today and they give me earrings that were better but not the ones they said they would give me over the phone but they'll work. While getting my earrings changed the owner said my review "sounded like a salty piercer" then continued to be rude and put one of the earrings in a hole that i've had since I was two instead of the one I got 4 days ago. I tried to put the earring in the correct hole but couldn't do it myself because the hole already started shrinking. So I drove another 30 minutes back to have it fixed and Bri (who is always great) fixed it. And please don't call me again to try to fix it because the owner should not be treating customers like that when one of her piercers messed up.

The prices are fantastic, and the quality of their work is outstanding. Brooke and Amya at the front desk are always so friendly and welcoming—they make every visit such a great experience. Sam is an amazing piercer—super professional and skilled. Right now, they’re even offering free piercings, which is such an awesome deal! Everyone here is so nice and talented. I can’t recommend this shop enough!

They were the most welcoming and kind ladies I met in a long time. They were enthusiastic and passionate about loving there jobs and the artist. These two were awesome and their vibes locked me in to know that this is the place for me to get work done asap.

Experiencia fantástica: James Vaughn is a living legend in the vein of traditional fully custom Japanese style tattooing and Fayetteville is lucky to have him. If you want to cover your busted old piece meal tattoos with a full custom sleeve that flows with your body, he’s the man. If you’re a tattoo artist or an aspiring tattoo artist and want to learn a thing or two while you get tattooed, he’s the man. He’s always happy to share his knowledge. He’s a good dude with a good heart. Also the counter staff at ATS is delightful, friendly, clean, well-dressed and professional.

Experiencia fantástica: Walking into ATS Fayetteville, we were greeted by 2 very welcoming ladies, Serena & Amya! They gave us genuine smiles and were really lovely people. They helped my sister and I with setting up a walk in piercings, walking us through the piercing appointment, and asked us if we had any questions. They were super friendly and I felt like I could ask them anything. Erika was our piercer and she was so sweet and kind! She walked us through the process, explained why she picked the type of earrings, make sure to check on us multiple times throughout the process and explained the aftercare! Always happy to come here! Worth the drive from VA for all my tattoos and piercings!

Experiencia fantástica: This was the best experience I’ve had in 16 years of getting tattoos. I always stress about what kind of environment the shop is going to have. The people at the front desk here were so welcoming and helpful. They immediately printed out what I wanted and sized it to me. They got me a quote from the artist and booked me an appointment for 2 days later with Sebastian. This was my first time at ATS. When I came in for my appointment, Sebastian brought out a tablet and showed me all the things we could do to make the tattoo even better. Once we had the finished design, he made the stencil and got right to it. In less than 4 hours, he covered basically 25% of my leg with the most amazing detail and quality I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t believe how quick he was with the level of detail that went into the tattoo. I’m looking forward to having the rest of my leg done by Sebastian before I leave the area in a few months. Honestly, I might fly back out every once in a while for more.

Experiencia fantástica: I showed up for a Friday the 13th flash sale and had an excellent time. It was really easy to make an appointment and they even took walk ins. I had Josh do my tattoo and he did an awesome job, highly recommend him! I will definitely be back!

Experiencia fantástica: My piercer was very accommodating to my needs. She did make an error the first time she pierced my nose, it came out a little crooked. So she offered to redo the piercing and didn't charge me for the entire service. She was also very patient as my body involuntarily went into a panic attack after each time she pierced (twice). Even gave me a lollipop, a stress ball, and cold water until my body relaxed. I am very happy with the result and highly recommend coming here for your piercing, but you'll probably have to pay for yours.
