Fantastic experience: Me and my daughters went to see Angela for piercings on 3 separate occasions. My oldest got her cheeks and eye brows pierced, my younger daughter got her belly button and one eye brow pierced, and I got my cheeks pierced. She was phenomenal!! Her vibe was great!!! Obviously, since we went back two more times!!!

Negative experience: I had gotten my industrial piercing five months ago by Angela. She didn’t measure my ear to check if the piercing would be a good fit and if my ear can even support an industrial piercing. Afterwards my ear was scrunched with no room for the rod. I don’t even have a picture of it before it tore because I wasn’t happy with how it looked. You can tell it was forced. I thought maybe the swelling is making it look like it was, nope. Fast forward to today, the rod completely tore through my ear. No reason just tore. I went in and let her know what had happened and how she didn’t measure to check to see if it’ll even fit. She didn’t acknowledge where she went wrong, she didn’t offer to remove the piercing and clean it, she didn’t apologize. She asked if I wanted her to re- pierce it and ofc I said no. The alignment, the bar length, and the anatomy wasn’t right from day one. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else so I am leaving this review.

My artist completely blew me away with his skill and creativity. He actually freehanded my tattoo and the way he was able to blend it perfectly into the work I already had is unbelievable. It looks seamless, like it’s always been part of the original design. The attention to detail and smoothness of the shading is next level. I’ve already gotten so many compliments, and I couldn’t be happier. Definitely a true artist—highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Much better experience than the last place I went for a piercing. Cats was quick, no fuss, did a good job, provided an after care kit and all for less than I paid at another shop in town. I will almost certainly use them again next time.

Negative experience: Edit** Finally got a response after I left a negative review. I asked for a tattoo at the convention. I was taken to “Waffles” (Adolfo Herrera). What I asked for was a small firefly. I showed them a pic of exactly what I wanted. The artist went outside of the stencil he free-handed and did not follow what I wanted at all. When I reached out to the artist to have him fix it, I was told that he would not be at the next convention that was closest. I reached out to the shop asking for them to review and help me resolve this. I was told they were traveling and would reach out. I reached out a day later and still nothing. They refused to give me a refund, even with me having to pay for a coverup now. Pictures are of what I asked for vs what I got. Look at their Yelp reviews too before you go here.

Fantastic experience: Red was really great! He made me feel right at home there. He really worked with my design to make it exactly what I wanted. Very clean, professional, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!!

Negative experience: My wife and I went to a convention and got a tattoo from them. She got a simple tattoo. He did a horrible job with keeping lines straight, things symmetrical, and shading. I had to stand behind her and tell him how to shade correctly. My wife has tried to reach out to the shop and has been left hanging. I would NOT go here or if you see them at a convention, keep walking.

Fantastic experience: Angela Robinson is an outstanding piercer! She did my tragus, as I had it previously pierced by another piercer in Georgia that didn’t do so well— eventually I took out the tragus piercing due to its long and painful process of healing. About 6 months later I visit Angela and she reopens it for me. She was very quick and the pain didn’t come close to what I felt with my previous piercer! Before the pain level was a 10/10, Angela made it a 5/10 which to me, is significantly better. It went so well that I came back the next day and got my rook re-pierced! I didn’t hear the loud thump that I heard the very first time I got it a few years ago (that I also took out due to a bad job) the pain was a 4/10 and I’m a WUSS! She did incredible, it was extremely fast and she had the jewelry in by the time I felt any negative sensation. I would recommended her to all my friends and family. I love her service!!!

Negative experience: i got my tragus done a couple days ago at a different shop and the back had fallen off so i called some places to see if they could put the back back on , a lady that was NOT a piercer answered the phone and never clarified she wasn’t a piercer and told me to come in, no numbing cream or anything and she knew i had only got my tragus done a few days so it was still swollen and hurting. she ripped the piercing out, left it out for multiple minutes and tried to put in a piercing that was a WAY bigger gage then continued to try to push it in until the point i was in TEARS and i have a pretty high pain tolerance. she added A&D ointment to make it go in smoother, KNOWING it was a bigger gage then my original earring. hands down worst experience i’ve ever had in a piercing shop. the picture i added was her leaving my piercing out for 5+ minutes. UPDATE: just called back up there to speak with the manager, the manager wasn’t in but i got a call back and it was the receptionist who tried to change my jewelry.

Negative experience: Worst tattoo experience of my life. I've been getting tattoos for 12 years and never got an infection until I got tattooed by Eddie from this shop at a tattoo convention in Portland, Maine. He prepped the area on my arm with a used disposable Bic razor and I got folliculitis, an infection of the hair follicles, from it and needed to take antibiotics for a week to get rid of it. He overcharged me, made me pay before getting tattooed, and rushed through the job to fit more clients in. At the time I thought I was paying more than average for an above average tattoo, but no. A tattoo that should have taken at least 1.5-2 hours he did in 45 mins. The line work isn't great and he colored outside the lines in several spots. I emailed the shop with pictures of the infection and got no response. Avoid this shop unless you want an infection, they do not care about the customers and are only in it to make a quick buck.

Negative experience: I was super excited to get my nipples pierced, however when going to get them done the lady with leopard print face tats pierced me through super quick and careless. The needle came out diagnol through the tip of my nipple. She repierced it and it was just as crooked. She was super unprofessional do not get peircings here. Thankfully I was able to get a refund.

Fantastic experience: went in tonight (11-03-24) to get my eyebrow pierced for my 22ed birthday. AMAZING EXPERIENCE! she made sure i liked the marking 100% before she did it, also went through and found the perfect sized jewelry for my thin eyebrows. it was clean, welcoming and a plus was they had a true crime story playing in the background lol. absolutely loved my experience and will be returning for all my future piercings!

Negative experience: Went in for a tattoo and belly button piercing, the tattoo part was great. Though when i got my belly button pierced i can’t remember the name of the piercer, but the she was super rushed didn’t ask if the markings were okay or not before she just went ahead and pierced it. Unfortunately it’s kinda crooked. But the tattoo artist Red did great. (add on) it has been a week now since I’ve had my bellybutton pierced and my bellybutton ring is fake and to my knowledge any new sternum piercing are meant to have a surgical steel, This one is clearly not and it is turning my bellybutton green It’s turning infected mind you i have been cleaning my piercing properly…I will be calling tomorrow to be getting my money back. any well skilled piercer would know this is not okay

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE. My tattoo is absolutely horrible, of course it hurt and I would flinch occasionally, but that SHOULD NOT excuse the fact that there are missing pieces from the tattoo, it’s crooked, and THE WRONG PARTS WERE FILLED IN BLACK. I will never go here again. Angela absolutely ruined my tattoo. Allowing people to come back there and show her photos on their phone, stopping my tattoo to pierce some girls who walked in, not paying attention, etc. Then when I went in there to talk about the issues with my tattoo, it’s like they blamed it all on me. This place is terrible and I just wish I could get my money back and my skin cut off.

Negative experience: I just do not think my tattoo was worth what I paid. I like it but it was so expensive for something small and only black and white. It was just at a convention in another city.

Negative experience: This review is not about the artist. I had a morning appointment with an artist I’ve gotten multiple pieces done from over the past year, but when I arrived at the shop, the locks had been changed and my artist wasn’t informed, therefore, we couldn’t go in. We were standing outside for around 2 hours before Angela came and let us in. Once we were inside, Angela proceeded to yell and berate the artist right in front of me instead of respectfully speaking to him in private. She also stated that she’s “not obligated to come in before 12”. It was incredibly unprofessional and I hope she reserves those kinds of talks to be had in private from now on instead of causing a scene in front of a client.

Fantastic experience: Went to Angela to get my septum pierced last year, I had a wonderful experience and it healed amazing!! I also took my mom to get her eyebrow repierced, it had already rejected twice before when we had gone other places so we were really worried about doing it a third time but Angela redid it and gave my mom special care instructions and it healed amazing! My husband and brother in law have both also had their lobes pierced by Angela and those looked and healed awesome. We went today to get my friends bridge and nipples pierced, and I also got my third hole on my lobes. I just keep going back for more because I feel so welcomed and comfortable. Ive had a tattoo done here before as well, Pops is the best. I love Cats, by far my favorite shop. Love yall!!

Negative experience: my god. customer service? nope. by the time i called off a jewelry change my nose is hurting and my jewelry is probably ruined and still not threaded right. they sent someone clearly inexperienced instead of just letting me know they were busy. then, didn’t apologize when it was done incorrectly, painfully, and incompletely, and acted offended when i only paid them $10 which is twice the amount of a complete and quick jewelry change. i’ve had good work done at cats before, but i will not be returning.

Negative experience: The heavy set man is so rude. He wanted me to pay $100 for a name tattoo (6 letters) at the time he did not know i already have over 9 tattoos so i feel like he thought he was going to get over on me not knowing I’m pretty aware of how pricing a tattoo works. And then AS he is tattooing me, he keeps bringing up how $100 is not bad and how i should’ve just paid the $100 THE WHOLE 15 MINUTES it took for him to tattoo me. I will never be back to this place, horrible customer service and i felt so out of place.

Negative experience: Don’t get your nose pierced here, sure it’s cheap but Angela did it way too low and didn’t even try to find my sweet spot. It bled for nearly 15 minutes.

Negative experience: Only giving a 1 because I can't give a 0. Got piercings done by Angela. They were great the first day and then I started to have an allergic reaction which no one would have known. I went in to have her take them out and she laughed at me told me I was stupid and was wasting my money. They were red, itchy, swollen and hurt so bad. My throat had started to close and I had to go to the er. Angela told me the er doctor was lying saying it wasn't an infection and I just needed bigger jewelry. She then charged me to take them out. I left the shop crying and feeling absolutely humiliated and embarrassed. I was in pain and for her to laugh and tell me I was stupid and it was a waste of money and a medical professional had lied to me was over the top. I do not recommend this shop to anyone. Very very unprofessional on how she took care of the situation.
