Fantastic experience: First of all, the receptionist answering the phone and in person is an angel. Literally so sweet and welcoming. She is the reason we went there when calling shops. Never lose her Great energy from everyone in the shop!

Fantastic experience: Easily the best experience I've ever had at a tattoo shop I worked with Justin to do my cover up he did fantastic work and I will recommend him to everyone.

Negative experience: My fiance and I went here and I wanted a conch piercing and my fiance wanted his conch reopened. First of all the guy put the jewelry on backwards. Second of all, I said the piercing placement was too high and the piercer didn't listen. Now I have a piercing I don't want. You shouldn't have to argue with your piercer about the placement. Also he told me to twist and wiggle the piercing while it's healing which is bad advice. The place is cheap but you get what you pay for. Do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: I will definitely continue to go back to sin cal! I had gotten my belly button pierced a few years back from them, and they did amazing. Today I went to get my tongue pierced, and the lady was so kind and the guy that had done my piercing was so gentle and kind. Thank you sin cal for being so amazing!!

Negative experience: My issue was getting my belly piercing done obviously crooked, not being informed I could use a floating belly button(AN INTERNAL THREADED BELLY BUTTON PIERCING) with a flat top bottom & using a very small smooth ball on the top to avoid getting the red bump irritation. They had a super limited selection of jewelry that was titanium. Only ones that were titanium had giant gems. Sigh*‍. My belly button swelled as it should and needed a larger one as this first one had no wiggle room. I told my history to having granulomas that I had been able to stop early w/ saline solution… The irritation continued ... They had me buy another larger one instead of ordering one for me specialized… against my better judgement, I told myself to trust “The professionals” I chose another purple titanium gem piercing ‍♀️ . I should have been advised that they didn’t have the correct piercing & set my piercing appt the day the correct jewelry was ready. I’m still frustrated that despite the marks being measured, it was still crooked!!! It rubs me wrong that they gaslit me by saying it would fall into place & that it looked fine because of my anatomy. I was told to wash it w/ Dial even after the bump got bigger instead of getting told to use saline solution to treat the bump. I had asked about saline solution yet I was told not to. On my 3rd call when I asked for options on different piercings because i was in pain… I was not informed to go to the ER. The tiny bump next got worse even after I went for the 3rd time to get the bigger one. I went 3 a total of 3 times. I never received the correct information to avoid all this ugly scarring and now feel shame about the nasty scar. I felt rushed. I asked the piercer if they could work with me to make sure the piercing didn’t get a keloid or a granuloma and I showed him the scar from a past piercing on my nipple and crickets I didn’t have to go back 3x & spent over 200$ - ish, I know for a fact that I was following their instructions for “proper care” even after it got bug and had liquid in the bump and they never made me feel like they cared and shooed me as another issue over the phone . PLEASE!!! if you have never had a piercing, don’t try at Sin Cal Industries first. They don’t have the patience, have new piercers that don’t have good skills yet, aren’t willing to do the aftercare check ins and work collectively. I didn’t need to spend so much $$$ yet the issue was never resolved and had the crooked piercing scar in the end. I have attached a picture of where the piercing entered the bottom of the belly button top area but it came into the uppper part crooked compared to the bottom one that WAS in the correct place. Honestly, I would have preferred that he had redone it at a later time even if it hurt a second time than brushing off my concerns when I saw it in the room right after I got it pierced telling him it was crooked … he said it looked fine for my anatomy. I didn’t want to be a hard client but I wasn’t ready to give up on Sin Claire I went the other two times because I trusted them to do right by me and educate me on a belly piercing which is something I haven’t done before. There are pros & cons. I know for sure that the issue was not feel safe enough to speak up louder. It took me soooo long to review because I thought who would care based on the treatment I received. I wanted to put it to rest and share my experience . Maybe this might help a beginner /newbie wanting a belly piercing make sure to do your own research, do a consultation separate from the actual appointment for doing the procedure(piercing). Have a list of questions like how to after care, what to expect for the procedure, make sure you feel safe(trust your gut) to say something if you are not happy with it. Thank you Sin Claire for trying your best and I hope you do better. I really wanted this experience to be a good one due to the amazing reviews and being nearby was advantageous.

Fantastic experience: My piercer was Matt and he was amazing. Very professional and kind. He made me laugh my anxiety away when he did my snake bites. I highly recommend him and this shop for sure. ☺️☺️

Fantastic experience: sincal is the way to go for piercings! i went in (as a walk in) for my second lobes and it was quick and painless. super affordable and i love the vibe everyone has. the staff is so kind and if you have any questions, they want to help you! matt pierced my ears and he was awesome and outgoing! i didn’t catch the front lady’s name, but she was so so kind. justin was also so nice when we asked about tattoos and pricing. 10/10 recommend! if i could rate them higher than 5 stars i would haha. i’m definitely going back for my eyebrow! xx

Fantastic experience: Got my nose pierced here today at 12:00 for my 13th birthday, it was super awesome! The waiting room was comfortable and the woman checking people in was very kind and gentle. She provided a selection of piercings that would be good for my nose, granted that it might swell, and was very informative and definitely loosened the tension. The piercer was very kind and calming, and the piercing process was pretty painless and easy. Very nice environment, very nice people, if I ever need a piercing again, I know where I'm going!

Fantastic experience: I've gotten all 7 piercings done here and they are so patient and kind. Answered all my questions. I did get a little dizzy with my most recent ones and they were well equipped to handle it. Had a pillow and water ready instantly. Highly recommend this place. Staff is super friendly and very funny. She remembered me from past ones and I hadn't been in for awhile. Today I went with the 3 other friends. Work bonding time! For reference i got my ear lobes, my conch, top right cartilage, nipples and monroe done here. Will be back for my thirds for ear lobes and an industrial!!! If they say I have the right ear shape :)

Fantastic experience: I love SinCal Industries. As long as I live in the Modesto area, I will go to no other piercer than Matt. All of the staff are knowledgeable about the craft. Matt is very skilled and has not done me wrong with the 7 procedures he's performed for me. He has pierced my nostril, my belly and put in two dermals on my chest. If I had followed his care instructions, I would have only had that, but I didn't take care of my first dermal right. I had him try to reposition it, but ultimately chose to have it out and put a new one in. The selection of jewelry is also great. The problem with that is I just want to spend my whole paycheck on their jewelry. Also, the two ball python that live at the shop are super cute. Love SinCal

Fantastic experience: Matt was recommended by my wife's co-worker. He is great with kids, and my 5-year-old daughter had a great experience here getting her ears peirced . The rest of the staff was cool and it was one of thoes places where they made you feel like a regular. They were a little busy so you know they do great work. Thanks Matt and the rest of sin family!

Negative experience: Trash place, puts in wrong size piercings, sells cheap metal piercings. Literally, mine broke on the second day. Don't bother going here unless you want an infection. The atmosphere is weird here and customer service is horrible, refuse to make things right even after messing me up, they want to charge again. PFF!!! NO THANKS SAVE URSELF THE EXTRA WASTED MONEY AND GO TO BODY JEWLZ IN THE MALL.

Negative experience: I had gotten my nose pierced a couple days ago I had called because my piercing kept coming out asked them if they could give me a longer piercing due to the swelling they had given me a 6mm which was way to small proceeded to want to charge me for a new piercing and to put it back in knowing the put the wrong piercing

Fantastic experience: I got my septum and cartilage piercings done here— I took my niece here for her first ear piercing. I’ve come to them for emergency situations (one in which I had an MRI and forgot to take out my cartilage piercings and couldn’t get them off— needless to say, they took me in and got them off with no issues). Highly recommend.

I always recommend this shop to all my friends who are wanting to get pierced. Matt has done all my piercings (septum, nose, double conch on both ears, and lobes) he is absolutely great, really kind and professional. He explains the healing aftercare process really well. Absolutely love this place and will continue going back whenever I want something new!

Negative experience: I got my nose pierced the jewelry barely made it through the other side of my nose and kept popping out so I went back and paid $20 for them to swap the jewelry I asked them to swap to one I already had but they wouldn’t I understand they don’t know where it came from but it was mine and I wanted it safely put in. Instead they told me I had to buy new jewelry so I did but it’s so long it sticks through my nose to the other side and now sticks out of my nose too far. Extremely unhappy and will never come back! UPDATE: I went to a different piercing place they swapped it out for $5 and put in the jewelry I had in it. When he took the long bar out of my nose and he told me it was bigger then the nose one so it was stretching the hole and it was a lip jewelry. I’m extremely upset about that wouldn’t recommend coming here if you wanna go somewhere No limit smoke shop does a really good job for a better price.

Fantastic experience: Brought 2 children in to get their ears pierced after a friend recommended Sin Cal and we had a great experience. They require kids to be 2 years old and older and be with a parent with a photo ID. They do want you to make an appointment ahead of time. As someone with multiple piercings obtained from locations ranging from Walmart to APP piercing studios, I appreciated the knowledge and professionalism Matt had. He took time to explain each step to the kids to be sure they were comfortable and he was careful to line up the piercings so they were symmetrical. Both kids didn't even cry, so much better than places that use a piercing gun! We were still in and out in about 40 minutes all in all. They had a nice selection of jewelry to choose from as well.

Positive experience: i got both my nostrils done like three or four days ago and since then both sides have fallen out in my sleep leaving me with no new piercings after all. once they fall out.i looked at them and noticed the bar seemed really small which isn’t right it should be a bit bigger for swelling so lowkey feeling like i waisted like $75 but the staff was nice and i loved the vibe of the place and they were very well priced (as someone who lives in the bay lol)

Fantastic experience: The family that SINS together, stays together. This is the only place my family and I will go for all of our piercing needs. My son found this SIN CAL online and has had 2 piercings done already. My daughter wanted her belly button done so we gave this place a shot. And it was worth it. On a whim I decided to get my eyebrow repierced after 20 years. A few weeks later, my daughter came back for her nose and I got a second eyebrow piercing. The gentleman who pierced us all (wish I remembered his name) was friendly, honest, helpful, fast, and efficient. You know this place is amazing when we have 4 piercing/tattoo shops in town where I live and we choose to travel 3 towns over just to get top notch care. We'll even drive to Modesto just to buy jewelry. The choices and prices they offer are best of the best. And any place that makes you feel welcomed is the way to go. Sin Cal is the only place my family will be visiting. Make sure to add them to your list too.

My daughter and I went to get pierced (my other/second eyebrow piercing and she got a helix/cartilage piercing) he was great with her, walked her thru the entire process, moved at pace she was comfortable with. And while I’ve been pierced many times, placement (especially) and size etc were important to the Symmetry of existing piercings and my face in general… he nailed it. Will for sure be pierced here again. If I had ONE minor thing to say is they should offer an after care sheet and kit etc. for those new to piercings and for the cost. Which wasn’t bad just how I’ve always had it in the past at Industrial Strength, Zebra and DV8 etc. in the Bay Area. But again, we’re both happy for sure. Thank you Shawn and team

Fantastic experience: I read the google reviews and I decided this was the place I’d like to get my septum pierced. To start, the gal at the front desk was sooo nice when I came in to fill out the papers! I was super nervous because I was by myself but she was super cool to talk to! Then Shawn came to take me to get pierced and he was literally so nice! I felt like I needed to cry just because how stressed I was (lol) but I wanted the piercing so bad and he was very calm, professional, and kind which eased my nerves. I told my friends that he really helped me a lot and I felt like he was the piercer version of Bob Ross because of his niceness. (P.s the piercing doesn’t even hurt that bad) I would recommend this shop to anyone wanting a piercing! :)

They are social and understanding of the concerns and fear my daughter use to have and they answer all of her questions and always willing to check on her piercings to help put her mind at ease. This is my go to when my youngest starts getting her piercings done.

Fantastic experience: My sister and I got our double nostrils pierced here. Very reasonable pricing and it includes the basic jewelry. I believe our piercer was Brandon. Knowledgeable and informative throughout the whole process. He was nice and let us know when he hit scar tissue so we could be prepared for the pain. We were in and out in less than 30 mins. They also have retail such as clothing and jewelry. Will be back for more piercings and maybe even a tattoo!

Fantastic experience: The best decisions ever to come here my piercer Shawn was sooo amazing made me feel comfortable I was sooooooo nervous and thinking my navel piercing would hurt which it didn't even hurt. I was total nervous over nothing pain level for me was literally a 0/10 I didn't even flinch. The staff is amazingly nice and great people. I'll definitely be coming they are amazing people

Fantastic experience: We took our 6 year old daughter in to have her ears pierced for the first time and Shawn was amazing with her. He really couldn’t have been more patient. He talked in a really calm voice and made sure she understood everything he was doing. He also gave her breaks as she needed and did not rush her at all. He really was wonderful with her. The lady at the front was also great and even let our daughter pet one of the snakes! We would definitely return and recommend. We left with a great experience and our daughter was SO happy.

Fantastic experience: I just got my 2nd lobe piercing and my cartilage done today, and it was a very good experience. They are very friendly and the man who did it for me was very nice and talkitive, and that helped me stay calm while he was piercing my ears. And he did it very quick and easy, and it did not hurt nearly as bad as i thought it was going to because this was my first time getting my cartilage pierced. Very good! And i will definitely come back here in the future!! :)
