Fantastic experience: Went in to get a smaller tattoo was greater by friendly staff. Met Nick Harrison super cool guy. Told him I had an idea for a sleeve we talked about it he listened we came up with a plan. Design was on point got the first part done.Nick Absolutely killed it down to the smallest detail. Shop was clean comfortable. They are there for satisfaction not to make a quick buck. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Blue Byrd

Negative experience: I had my nose pierced at the Miamisburg location in 2019, shortly after the piercing came out. I was given a card for a free piercing replacement from the person who said he was the owner, David I believe. I tried to redeem it at the Wayne Avenue location and the female working was dismissive and treated me as if I fished the voucher card out of the trash. I am bother by my wasted money from the first experience, hurt and embarrassed from my second encounter with the establishment.. Edit...I'm quite sure the aggressive behavior is rooted in racism. I anticipated such a tacky response which is why I waited to write my honest opinion of the establishment in the first place. I told the person piercing my nose that my skin was thicker and I would need accommodations, I was basically met with "I'm the professional" so I trusted her. I was pleased with my piercing as well as the means to make amends when I complained and received the comp card. The unpolished way I was treated when I tried to redeem the comp as well as the uncouth response is why the 1 star. I really wanted to leave a great review

Fantastic experience: Y’all gotta check out Nick Harrison. I could sit for 5 hours for him any day of the week. He’s done work for me before but now he’s at Blue Byrd so I went there, had an apt with him yesterday, got this beauty done.

Fantastic experience: The shop is beautiful and welcoming. The artists are friendly. I’ve gotten four out of my six tattoos from Nick. I got the one below yesterday which went over scar tissue and stretch marks. Nick was very patient and would crack jokes here and there. There’s good energy, good people, and aspiring artists. 10/10 would recommend. There’s an artists there for pretty much anything you need.

Fantastic experience: Atmosphere was great. The people who worked there were great and knew what they were doing. I say that because I had an eyebrow piercing done somewhere else and it had been bothering me. My piercer Liz noticed right away that it was low and pretty close to my eyelid. I eventually had to take it out a few days later. I had her pierce my other eyebrow and haven't had any issues. She has also pierced my tragus and has been doing great. I will be going back for more. I met the other piercer there too and he was really nice and would definitely see him if Liz was not around. Would love to the place do a tattoo for me someday!

Fantastic experience: Me and my sister both got naval piercings from Mandy and she was absolutely the best. She spent over an hour and a half with us explaining the process and making sure we felt comfortable. When my sister almost passed out she wouldn’t let us leave until she was sure she was ok. If you ever go here, request her for piercings or tattoos.

Positive experience: Went in as a walk-in to get my monroe redone. The shop itself is pretty easy to find, Google maps will take you right to it no issue. The shop is very clean and well decorated, theres an upside down skeleton thatll greet ya lol. Mandy did my piercing and she was GREAT. She talked me through the process of reopening my old piercing, and found good, quality jewelry for me. She took her time and was awesome. Would recommend to anyone looking for their next piercing.

Fantastic experience: Mandy was my piercer, I got snakebites and my septum done. This was honestly the best piercing experience I’ve ever had! Mandy was very knowledgeable and even corrected the placement of my previously done snakebites! It looks so much better this time! Mandy was warm, kind, funny, and an excellent piercer! She walked me through breathing with each piercing and the process was quick and there was very minimal pain, even with going through a bit of scar tissue. Would recommend Mandy and this shop to anyone !

Fantastic experience: Liz she did such an amazing job with my piercings. She was super professional and friendly. I had no issues with my piercings and despite being helix piercings, they healed better than my lobes piercings that I had got somewhere else. I did snag one of my piercings and I got to see her right away and she took care of it like a pro. I will definitely be getting more from her even though it's quite the trip for me.

Fantastic experience: I have to share the amazing experience I recently had with David Klaiber from Blue Byrd. My best friend and I got matching tattoos that did not turn out so great. They were awful and just messed up in so many ways leaving us both so disappointed. We got with David sending him pictures and once he saw them he immediately had us come in for consultations on how to fix them coming up with individual game plans that worked great for us both. We were both so blown away how David went above and beyond to fix these issues and even do tons more work on us to make sure we left there feeling amazing about our tattoos. We now both have gorgeous pieces we wear with pride and want to show off. That means the world to me!! Having a bad tattoo is a terrible regretful feeling but knowing someone cared enough to work on us several different times to make it right was huge!!! I’m just so very happy with how this all turned out from how it all began. Also I have to add I really enjoy being at the shop. The atmosphere and services they provide there are just top notch. Every person that walks in they are so friendly to and go above and beyond to help. I truly highly highly recommend Blue Byrd and can not wait for David to do more work on me!!!!

Fantastic experience: My experience with Blue Bird tattoos has been excellent for years. The artists are respectful and extremely talented. I’ve had two large cover up tattoos completed there and I consistently get compliments on the artwork completed by David. The place is clean and I am happy to recommend any of my friends to go there!

Negative experience: Spent 150$ for a crooked and off-center nape piercing. The owner and piercer both refused to refund and stated that we were at fault for agreeing to dots he put on my wife's neck. When I pointed out it was crooked, the piercer dimissed my concern and said it was just inflammation. I even tipped the guy. What a joke.

Fantastic experience: My best friend and I went to get ear piercings and it was the most seamless easy experience with Alex! He made us nervous girls so calm and it was the least painful experience ever! I highly recommend booking anything with Alex, he’s so awesome!

Fantastic experience: Went to Alex yesterday to have him look at my Medusa since it formed a bump, and he was the MOST helpful. He switched out my bar for me and gave me so many helpful tips to help me save my piercing. I will absolutely be going back to him for any piercings!

I’ve always loved the vibe, the artist are are always incredible, knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible. My most recent piece from Blue Byrd was by their apprentice, Lo, and she met and exceeded every single expectation I had and designed me a beautiful tattoo ❤️ Highly recommend any artist at the shop, but definitely get in with Lo before she gets out of her apprenticeship and blows up.

Fantastic experience: I’ve love love loved every tattoo experience with Siren as the artist. I’m the most comfortable when I’m in her chair because she creates such a safe welcoming environment where I feel comfortable to voice if I need breaks or changes in the design/placement. I always walk out of getting tattooed by her feeling great about myself and excited about my new art:)

I finally decided on one and Lo was the best not only at executing it perfectly but making me feel confident in it so much that I am still working with her since I have expanded that piece into a forearm sleeve. This place has an amazing and personable staff that'll not only make sure your ink/piercing needs are perfectly met but also help pass the time by with fun conversation. If you're looking to add some art onto your body Let Lo be your Ink Master! Chloe is cool too I guess.

Fantastic experience: EXTREMELY nice people my piercer was Liz and they were amazing they answered all of my questions and preformed the piercing quickly and effectively always making sure I was okay, and everybody in the shop was really friendly and nice, after getting my piercing I had trouble with paying by being an idiot but they stuck through with me till I found an alternative way of payment and through all of this even though I would of deserved it they didn't lash out no they kept their composure and were really nice and professional even though they were clearly busy all in all I really can't recommend them enough I will definitely be going back next time being less of a hassle. Also ps side note when I took a lift home they told me about how they got a tattoo there with their wife and it looked AMAZING both me, him and his wife all agreed they have some really talented people there

Fantastic experience: Got my piercing on June 23rd with Liz she did such an amazing job. It was a great friendly and professional environment! I would love to come here more but it's an hour away but it was well worth the drive. I did have problems with my piercing the regular problems of a bump showing up and I emailed Liz asking about it and she was able to tell me what to do to help it. People need to understand that piercers have busy lives and may not be able to respond as quickly as the person wants them too but Liz was able to respond to what I think is pretty quickly. Poor piercing care is not the piercer's fault it's the person that got it and didn't take proper care and researching it fault most of the time!!! PS. I read the bad reviews and some of the responses from you is hilarious!

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Chloe enough! She was so kind and understanding as I saw her for my first ever big piece. She made sure I was comfortable, explained everything. She is so talented, she did a half sleeve along with 2 cover ups. I have gotten so many compliments on her work! Her pricing is fair and her workspace is clean. Positive experience: Update: The owner had Liz contact me to clear things up. It was a very big misunderstanding. I’m a weird person, I communicate directly & bluntly & sometimes people take that the wrong way. Kelsey felt I was lying or trying to get back money I hadn’t paid. They located me records confirmed I had made a deposit. Evidently Kelsey applied the deposit to my tattoo, with that plus tip I paid $300 for less than an hour of work. I have an outline & some words covered, that’s it. Picture is attached. Kelsey was very sweet to me every time I met her. I had a good feeling about her, a warm feeling. She held my hand when I cried, she didn’t get upset when I asked questions. She made me want to become a tattoo artist too. For whatever reason, that’s not the same vibe I got this morning. Kelsey really took offense to everything I said. It ruined my whole day. Liz apologized, found another artist to finish the job & offered a discount off the tattoo. We declined, as I still can’t get tattooed right now & my husband wants to find another place to take his business. Thanks for the help to Liz & Jazz, thanks for knowing in weird but kind. Sorry again Kelsey, wasn’t trying to be hostile. Currently waiting to hear back from shop owner to see if I update my review. I came to Kelsey a few weeks ago, in need of a tattoo cover up that was triggering me. I had a deposit, had to delay things because of my medical condition but eventually started it. Sadly I couldn’t finish it because of my medical condition. I made the mistake of paying out of picking & holding my deposit because I thought I could go back to have it finished. Sadly, I won’t be able to anytime soon. I reached out to Kelsey to see if my husband could come into the shop & use my deposit towards something she did for him instead. I thought that was more than reasonable, I guess not. Waiting to hear from the owners to see what’s going on moving forward.

Fantastic experience: I went to get a daith piercing to help reduce my migraines/headaches, and Alex was most helpful! He put me at ease, was very experienced and explained each step. He even shared that his mom use to suffer from migraines, so I knew he understood. I would highly recommend Alex for piercings!! Cost was reasonable, and they fit me in the same day I called to inquire.

Fantastic experience: My sister and I came to Liz 2 weeks ago to get our nipples pierced. Liz made us feel welcome, and helped ease our nerves as we were so scared! Liz did an amazing job on our piercings, and we are both ecstatic about how they turned out. Honestly was one of the easiest piercings I have ever healed as well and it's because Liz knows what she is doing. If I ever get another piercing done, I don't think I will ever go to anyone else besides Liz!

Fantastic experience: I had a double nose piercing done by Liz and honestly could not have had a better result. My piercings healed well and I waited 8 months to switch out my jewelry and have had zero issues with switching out studs and hoops. I am not the tattoo parlor "type" and at no point did Liz make me feel like I didn't belong there. Everything was clean and sterile. I appreciated being in a room without on lookers watching the whole thing. Low key, she was the perfect balance of talking me through the piercings, but not over the top.

Fantastic experience: We just moved to the area, and I unfortunately had 10 year old dermals that started to reject. I went to multiple competitors that kept pushing me off. I was sent to Liz by multiple people, via social media. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint! I was so nervous! She kept me calm during the entire removal process, and talked me through every step. Even though, it was difficult, and she probably should have sent me to a surgeon she took her time! She made that ish happen!!! The scars are going to be minimal,and I barely cursed lol. You will not find a cleaner, more professional place for piercings!!

Negative experience: Terrible with scheduling and communication. As someone who’s going to spend money it would be professional to communicate effectively with them and not give them the run around. There should be an online scheduling system or something instead of relying on DM to get on the books. Contacted one artist, Kristen told her what I wanted and then she ghosted. Contacted kieran who dm extremely delayed I Even asked if there was a better way for us to contact her and no response. They obviously have very poor people working here who don’t Care about communicating . Good luck to those who actually get on the schedule.

Fantastic experience: I got my first ever tattoo from Tina here. She was very helpful with answering my questions and making sure I felt comfortable the whole time. She worked with me until we agreed on a tattoo that suited me best and she drew it beautifully. Tina is so nice and I loved talking to her. I will definitely go back to her for more tattoos. I also got a nose piercing from Liz and she did an amazing job! She made sure that I was happy with the placing and the piercing. She made sure I knew how to clean it and when I had questions about it healing about couple weeks later she told me to come in so she could look at it. She helped me with it and told me to come back if needed anything else or had any more questions. She's very nice and helpful and if I get anymore piercings I'll get them from her. Blue Byrd is an all around great tattoo/piercing shop with great, talented, and nice employees and a fun atmosphere. The people made me feel safe and welcome and I trust them with all my future tattoos and piercings. I reccomend everyone I know to them because they're so amazing.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I saw Liz for a helix piercing on my left ear. She and her apprentice were very sweet and worked together to find the perfect placement for the earring. Once this baby heals, I will definitely be returning for the other ear!
