Fantastic experience: Kanada did a great job with my Tattoo

Fantastic experience: I am giving 5 stars to Steven for fixing a tattoo that another artist in the shop did back in January. Thank you Steven. You did great. With that being said I want to talk about my experience with Javi and Natalia. Starting with Javi. So today 2/21/26 i originally had my touch up appointment with Natalia at 2pm. Upon walking in i noticed Natalia wasn’t there and Javi told me she left to get something to eat. I told Javi that I have an appointment with her and I don’t want to sit in the lobby for 2 hours like I did the first time with her. For some reason Javi thought that was funny. Its definitely wasn’t btw. But I told Javi that I was unacceptable that she did that to me and I don’t want to experience that again. Javi then proceeds to call her to come back to the shop. Steven noticed I was upset and to break up the tension he complimented my hair and then asked to see the tattoo. I showed him to tattoo and told him what I didn’t like and he agreed and I asked if he could instead fix it instead of Natalia. He agreed. It came out amazing Now Natalia. She’s seems like a sweet girl. She actually did some small butterfly tatts on my arm in November 2025 and they turn out great. Unfortunately the tattoo she did on my hand January 2026 was no good. I hated it. There were areas that were not tattooed in, it was like she forgot to color it in. There was areas where she tattoo out of the lines. And an areas where the tattoo was colored in patchy. I’m not saying she is a bad artist but this tattoo was not good work. Below I attached the tattoo she did and also how it looks now that Steven fixed it.

Fantastic experience: Stephen did my tattoo yesterday he did a really great fine line tattoo. I loved it, exactly what I wanted!

Fantastic experience: Went and saw Javi today for a niece and aunt tattoo. He did am amazing job and recommend him hands down. Amazing and detailed work.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a flash sale and was really impressed. The shop is clean and inviting and my artist Kanada had a light hand and did a fantastic job.

Fantastic experience: I went in to get a small tattoo on my forearm of a bird. Mia was the artist. She did such a great job. Very light touch , didn't hurt at all. Healed beautifully. Loved the music that was being played during my appointment as well. I'm definitely going to recommend to everyone. I will be going back for more soon.

Positive experience: I got my first tattoo here on halloween of 2025. It was the flash sale and everything was going fine, until the time to actually tattoo came. My artist seemed very disorganized, aswell as didnt seem to speak English well. I ended up getting colors i was unhappy with after communication and correction twice, and her mentor asked for clarification. I was also not informed my artist, Natalia, didnt seem experienced. She also overworked colored areas heavily. now that the tattoo is healing im seeing variances in the weight of the lines, scaring, shakey-ness and overworked areas. I am very disappointed in how the tattoo turned out seeing as it was my first piece. Though, my partner whom was tattooed by her mentor, his tattoo is healing very well and looks great. Others may have different experiences but this is my experience with this artist personally, and frankly if I could I would go back and ask for a different artist.

Fantastic experience: I went for a Halloween flash tattoo. For one, the receptionist was amazing, despite it being busy, she was friendly and ran everything so efficiently. I did not get my tattoo artists name, but she was incredible! Her entire set-up was an adorable pink, she made little tattoo aftercare goodie-bags, and i kid you not, she did the tattoo wonderfully in like 5 minutes. Overall, I usually hesitate to do cheaper flash tattoo events, but I couldnt recommend this place enough. The experience was amazing.

Fantastic experience: Just got my very first tattoo at their extra special Halloween flash tattoo event! The basic flash tattoos were 40 each today but they let you bring in your own designs that could be obtained for an up charge. I got The Knight from Hollow Knight with fill in by @Nataliaagaton1. She did an absolutely fantastic job. The pain wasn't bad at all and it took truly no time. I love my first tattoo and I will be coming back for more.

Fantastic experience: Natalie was the designer for my 2 tattoos that I have done in one day. She was very friendly nice told me what she doing when she stated working. Her work was top 100% stars for me. These tattoos was my first time doing it. This tattoos is very clean and on top of each of the job work. I going bad for my 3 tattoos once I find the design I want. My husband is going have one done by Natalie to here so. I just want thank Natalie for your great work. Your felled my heart with joy. The tattoos honor my dad that just passed away this year.ty

Fantastic experience: Mia was the tattoo artist who did my tattoo and her line work is incredible! i have a few tattoos on me right now and this is by far the BEST tattoo i have on my body! Absolutely amazing and she’s so sweet!

Fantastic experience: this is THE PLACE for tattoos in tacoma. i have 9 tattoos total and i’ve gotten 7 of them here. all the artists are especially talented and caring towards clients in making sure they’re comfortable. will never go anywhere else for a tattoo!!

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo here today, and it was a wonderful experience. The artists were very friendly and kind. Mia, my artist, did a wonderful job on my tattoo. I'm definitely coming back to have her color it in for me. I'm definitely going to keep going here for my future tattoos.

Fantastic experience: This was by far the best flash experience I’d ever experienced. Huge shoutout and many thanks to Javi who really set our experience over the top. We arrived around 11:30am and the wait was already really long. We waited nearly six hours to be seated with an artist but the staff was incredibly friendly and offered plenty of candy throughout. The entire atmosphere was very welcoming and even strangers became friends as we waited. When we got to work with Javi, he was very friendly, insightful, and passionate! You can tell he loves what he does and I really appreciate that. He quickly got adopted into our friend group and gained 3 new returning clients. Although the wait was long, the staff here maintained positive vibes and a clean and inviting environment. Would absolutely recommend and will absolutely be going back for my art by Javi!

Fantastic experience: went in for the friday the 13th event. the wait was long but staff was friendly and communicative. Javi was the artist for my group and he gained returning clients from us. his line work and shading is beautiful and we are very thrilled with our tattoos. we were there for hours and they made us feel comfortable and kept positive energy despite probably being very fatigued from a long day. Javi definitely takes pride in his work and talked to each of us about our tattoo placements making sure we would be satisfied with the results while explaining composition. so much more than we expected for a flash event. at the end of the long day, we overheard the staff talking about how they could improve the event in the future, concerning wait times and complicated tattoo placements. Definitely will be returning enthusiastically.

Fantastic experience: Visited durring firday the 13 flash sale, all the staff was great working through the long line. Stephen was great when it was my turn. His fine line work was perfect and his hands were light as a feather

Fantastic experience: I always have a great experience each time I’ve come in here. Pac Ave Tattoo is my favorite tattoo spot in the Pudget Sound area. Kanada is always easy to work with. He is great at taking my rough ideas and turning out sick looking tattoos. This place is worth the drive from Olympia.

Negative experience: My grandmother and I made an appointment to get tattoos. Mine was because I wanted one hers was for her birthday. We put down a deposit as well. Then on the day of our appointment our artist told us he had forgot to put us on the books and had scheduled another appointment. He told us we could either come back or have another artist do the job. We chose to have another artist do it. After waiting for an hour for him to be ready he started on my tattoo. Now as someone who has lots of tattoos I have a pretty good idea of how long they should take. The other artist took over 3 hours to do a tattoo previous shops I’ve gone to could have done in half the time. The whole time he is working on my grandmother is sitting and waiting. There was another artist not doing anything just sitting there and messing around. Then around the 3 hour mark another group of people came in with no appointment or deposit and the artist doing nothing immediately jumped up and took them instead of helping the customer who did have an appointment the entire time. Needless to say very displeased and unimpressed. Will not come back and again and highly recommend you find somewhere else.

Negative experience: Came in to make an appointment for a tattoo with my grandson. Put down a deposit and made an appointment. Came in for our appointment and was told he double booked and we could get tattooed by another tattooist. So we agreed. After waiting a while they started on my grandson. 3 1/2 hours later I am still sitting and waiting when three girls walk in wanting a tattoo. No appointment, no deposit. They were taken right in while I’m still sitting waiting. I was not happy. And mind you they are still doing my grandson’s easy tattoo that should have taken around an hour. Needless to say I did not get a tattoo. This was for my birthday. Happy birthday to me very unprofessional. Will not be going there again.

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo here, from Mia, behind my ear, and I loved the process, being shown various sizes and previewing different angles. It was also virtually painless, though I’ve heard tattoos behind the ear usually are. Her work is phenomenal!

Fantastic experience: I got my tat done by Stephan Wu He was quick and efficient! I love my tattoo and I will be back. My daughter got hers done and she also love hers. No complaints!

Fantastic experience: Walked in one night and showed Stephen what I wanted. This wasn’t my first tattoo but my first time here. Though the tattoo was not some complicated design but simple Stephen made it elegant and beautiful. The tattoo has much meaning for me, so much that seeing it permanently on my arm in honor of my husband who suffered a brain injury earlier this year I was in tears. Thank you Stephen for making it more than I imagined it.

Fantastic experience: love this shop and their artists!! I originally came in for the $60 friday special, which went amazing, and came back for an appointment with harlow. an old stick and poke was covered up, she was very nice and understanding when I had to take small breaks to stop my leg from twitching. I'm absolutely still in love with this tattoo, and it healed wonderfully!

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this tattoo shop to everyone if I could! I got my first tattoo from here by Kanada. I wanted a memorial tattoo and he took my idea and created something truly beautiful for me. I trusted his recommendation on shading and white ink in certain areas and it was the best decision. He also gave me great advice on after care and let me know to reach out if I had any questions or concerns! I can’t wait to book again. All the staff was very kind and friendly

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to Pacific Ave Tattoo a few times for the flash Fridays. I have not been disappointed once going here. My tattoo artist was Moe and I highly recommend him! He’s great at consultations with tattoos if you’re unsure exactly what you want, and he’s extremely friendly. This is my most recent tattoo from Moe!

Fantastic experience: Stephen tattooed my fiance today and he did a KILLER job. It was a very sentimental piece, with her late friends handwriting that he matched PERFECTLY. His line work is nuts, and the amount of detail just blew me away. He was really time efficient too. I was expecting the price to be insane due to the amount of detail but it wasn't at all and tbh I feel it was underpriced for what she got. We will be recommending Stephen and this tattoo shop to everyone and I will definitely be getting some work done for myself. Thank you so much ❤️

Negative experience: I went to get a very sentimental tattoo today with an appointment set up. I sat there waiting for a hour cause he had nothing set up or drawn up. The artist did not work with me whatsoever, had poor communication skills, poor customer service, and he messed up my tattoo by writing the wrong date. Everything else was great but that one mistake and it’s now permanently engraved into my skin. Will not be coming back here.

Fantastic experience: A really great tattoo shop! Did a spur of the moment tattoo before my aunt heads back home. Very clean shop and nice people! Will be using Harlow for future work. Highly recommend

Negative experience: I came into the shop wanting a small piece done for their Friday deal. The guy at the front desk doing the print outs of what people wanted was so unwelcoming. I ended up canceling my tattoo appointment because of the way he was texting me over the phone about my design. He was not trying to accommodate at all, even when I tried to solve the issue.

Fantastic experience: I've gotten 5 tattoos at Pacific Ave with various artists in the last few years and love all of them! Most have been friday flash deals with one larger scheduled piece covering/combining with a tattoo I already had, but I can't wait to do another piece/more pieces with them! It's my favorite tattoo shop by far and I love what they've done with the remodel! The artists i've worked with (some still work there, some have moved on to other shops) have all been kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating of disability related needs without issue. So far I've recommended them to my partner, sister in law, mom, and friends all of whom have had positive experiences as well :)

Fantastic experience: My sister and I went in on flash friday to get her first tattoo! Despite being very busy, they had time for us. Chris started working right away and was extremely kind when discussing placement/what she wanted it to look like. He seems like a very inspired artist, and speaking to him artist to artist i could see that. He is very passionate and always wanting to do things to sharpen his talent and work! 10/10 recommend going to him. My tat healed up nice too! despite it being a lot of black !

Negative experience: i do not recommend this shop in the slightest. the atmosphere when i walked in to get a small piece done as a walk in client with a friend - a service they advise across all platforms and on their website - on a monday morning, they were incredibly rude and treated us like we had never gotten a tattoo before (my arms are covered and they were exposed, my friend has a sleeve). the language they used, their body language, and the way they treated us as an inconvenience rather than a client lead me to the decision to take my business elsewhere. i don’t recommend coming here unless you want to be belittled and met with a lack of professionalism.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Pac Ave Tattoos! I had Chris as my artist and he was amazing, super funny and really listened to what you had to say. The amount of detail that went into my tattoo is INSANE. If your looking for a great shop to get a tattoo I would 100% recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: i got my first tattoo here not too long after i turned 18 and the experience was great! the artist was really friendly and kept a good vibe going.

Negative experience: Good work but super slow! A tattoo that should have taken only like 30 mins (smaller than palm size) took an hour and a half. Something that should have been maybe $100 ended up being $250. They know how to steal time and cost someone more than what it should. I don't recommend going here if you want something in a hurry and have a budget. We will not being going back .

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a few tattoos done at PAC Ave all of the artist that I’ve seen there recently have all been amazing and professional. There was a tattoo I had to tap out on because I have an auto immune disease and the artist that started it left. When I reached out to the shop manager and talked with her she put me into good hands with another amazing artist. When I showed up to my appt everyone was so nice and inviting! I’ve trusted their artist and manager so much after that I had my son and daughter go to get their 1st tattoos there. I’ve also told all my friends how great they’ve been! Lastly, I’ve had a couple of their flash Friday tattoos done and have been quite impressed with how quickly and clean they get things done! Thank you PAC ave for making my experience one I keep coming back for! Can’t wait for my next tattoo!!

Fantastic experience: I went to get my conch pierced by Jimmi Bones . And the experience was great. Felt comfortable in the shop. He was knowledgeable and ( though still healing ) its healing wonderfully . I can't wait to go back for more piercings once this is healed . And maybe take advantage of some of those cute little tattoo prices on Fridays

Fantastic experience: I had gone to Pacific Ave Tattoo on July 3, 2022 when I had wanted my first professional tattoo, as I had just turned 18 ! I wanted barbed wire around my ankle, they had a few designs but I was really picky and showed them the exact design of barbed wire when they made the stencil and started. It wasn’t painful for me, and went by pretty fast. They put a real nice plastic bandage around my ankle to leave on for a few days. The tattoo looked better than I thought it would ! It’s still my favorite tattoo on my body so far, thank you guys !

Fantastic experience: I got a tattoo here that holds so much meaning to me. I am a survivor of domestic violence and this tattoo is a tribute to surviving. The artist was so kind and caring when I told him the story behind this tattoo. He did exactly what I wanted and imagined and I am so grateful for it. It was definitely hard but I felt empowered and strong, something I hadn't felt on so long. Fantastic experience: Whenever I come in I get tattooed by Kanada & he’s never disappointed me. I’ve got a dope coverup piece he did for me that you can’t even tell has a botched tattoo right under it! The quality & professionalism of this shop is why I’ll keep coming back. Fantastic experience: Got my little ghost girly on one of their flash Friday tattoos in February of 2023. Despite being busy, the entire Artist team at this shop was incredibly professional, clean, and worked efficiently while making sure every piece of art turned out to the guest’s liking. The shop was well busy but everyone was taken care of and made very comfortable. Highly recommend EVERYONE check out this legacy shop in Tacoma and get a piece of art from these talented tattoo artists. You will NOT be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Last March, My best friend and I were able to walk in and get these best friend tattoos with no wait time and within an hour or 2. It’s been over a year so I have forgotten the gentleman who did it, but he was so awesome ! I’ve got 2 more from him since and haven’t been anywhere else here in Washington! When I go back for more, I will for sure choose Pacific Ave !

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved the loved the co owner who did my tooth gems! Her vibes were definitely vibin! And she even assisted with my little face tattoo as well cause the guy who did it didn't do the best he could have and she noticed! The whole place was a great vibe! Fantastic experience: In 2019 I got my first official tattoo, and of course I had to go to Pacific Ave! So simple & easy, just walked in during their Friday specials. Made me feel very comfortable and safe, I recommend this place to everyone I know that’s looking to get their first or their 47th tattoo lol!

Fantastic experience: I went in the day before Mother’s Day to get some flowers added to a matching tattoo I already had gotten with my husband. I talked to Chris and told him what I wanted and he beyond delivered. I couldn’t have imagined it coming out any better. It means so much to me that he sat and listened to what I wanted and took it and made it great.

Fantastic experience: Came here from the Midwest and was looking for quality and professional work. Pacific Ave has delivered just that on 4 different occasions. I’ve referred numerous people there as well and all had the same exact experience as I did. Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten three tattoos at Pac Ave, all from different artists and I love all of them! My most recent was done in November 2022 and I’m still so happy with it. Their Friday flash deal is great for small tattoos and I’ve never been disappointed with the quality or experience. The shop has always been very clean and everyone inside is welcoming. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo here on my 18th birthday and I have gotten a total of three tattoos here. Each time it has been a different artist and they all did a wonderful job. I always recommend pac ave to people looking into getting tattoos and I have convinced many friends to go there with me or on their own. I'm planning on stopping in again soon. The artists are all super nice and patient, and are willing to work on adjustments and price points with you. They do amazing work! Fantastic experience: I got a hip tattoo at this location and loved the experience. Spidey made me feel very comfortable and did exactly what I asked. He was very transparent and gave me his info in case I needed to come back for touch ups. Love this tattoo shop and have gotten every tattoo here since.

Negative experience: Chris charged me 600 for a full sleeve including color which I thought was a good deal so I agreed and paid upfront. He refuses to finish the sleeve and he SPELLED THREE WORDS WRONG ON ME! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Fantastic experience: Went to get some angel fangs done by Jimi Bones, and it was by far the best piercing experience I've had, he's very patient, makes sure you like the piercing, and is easy to talk to. Not to mention his prices are affordable too. Definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: Amazing work today. Chris sat down with me as I didn’t even know what tattoo I was going to get, and he patiently helped and waited till I picked out exactly what tattoo I was getting. I had just walked in on very short notice wanting to get something on my forearm. This visit exceeded my expectations for getting a tattoo. We looked at the shops all nearby and I decided on that one, and I am not disappointed, by not only his but his professionalism, but his love for art alone, and the work he produces(d).
