Fantastic experience: Ive gone to pumping ink for as long as I can remember. Everyone is consistently greeted at the door and the customers preferences are always accommodated. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. The owner is also very interactive with customers and staff. My most recent tattoo was done by Mario and his work is phenomenal. I would highly recommend pumping ink tattoo to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Mario at pumping ink is an amazing artist. Went out of his way to make sure I got my fill in before I had to move. Always makes me feel super comfortable. On top of that his attention to detail on my tat was prime. Definitly recommend this guy. Thanks Mario!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here since October and I’ve had nothing but positives. The staff is super welcoming I’ve never felt like an outcast here, always greeted at the door, always being accommodated, always had wonderful service. The artists here are very talented, Mario Ulloa in particular is a phenomenal talent I can 100% recommend his services, I got my chest done last year and my bicep done recently and it’s very high quality work at a very fair price. I’ve been getting custom work done for both and it’s always very creative work being done, and if I have any suggestions or comments I never feel like I’m in the wrong for bringing it up. I highly recommend if you’re looking for your next tattoo!

Fantastic experience: Went to get my snake bites piercings done and the place was 10/10. From the receptionist, to the piercer, everyone was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I let the piercer know exactly where i wanted the piercing, if it was possible, and he did amazing with placement and the entire process. Definitely the place i will be going back to for any future piercings. They also are healing great so far and i have had no issues.

Negative experience: Went in to get a grim reaper tattooed on my forearm. The spine is not symmetrical the rest of its body.

Fantastic experience: Mario did a really good job on my arm and only took about 45 minutes for a decent size tattoo, and Pumping Ink has really cool vibes

Negative experience: very unprofessional tattoo parlor. this tattoo isn’t even a week old. artist used a single needle to shade which left gaps in most areas. The entire tattoo is crooked & looks rushed. The lines aren’t even close to straight & the rectangles look horrible. The tattoo is unfixable & will be an everyday reminder of how shitty these artist really are. Also paid $250 for this absolute bullshit.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU EVEN CONSIDER THESE FOLKS!!!! I emphasized to the piercer that I had a history with piercings being crooked, so I begged him to please make sure he pierced me right. He pierced me wrong, and had to pierce me twice! Then he pierced me with a 14g for frog eyes, and a 20mm bar that he bent himself. Please don’t go here. The piercer is rude, and they don’t do refunds because they SUCK that much. Go somewhere else. To the piercer, Please EDUCATE yourself, if you don’t know how to do a piercing, DONT DO IT! Update: (12-28-25) I have the video of the piercer bending the bar, and I also have the bar which has dents from the bar being bent. Oh, and I also have a witness. I also called multiple times and you guys were extremely rude. I also went to get a second opinion from another professional piercer, and you guys completely ignored the standards for frog eyes and did the most careless work ever.

Fantastic experience: From the moment we walked into Pumping Ink, we were welcomed like old friends. Ashley at the front desk was incredibly friendly and had us checked in and ready to go in no time. While my husband was getting his tattoo, she even let me explore the owner’s shop on the other side of the building (even though it was closed) — and it was seriously impressive. The owners happened to stop by while we were there and made a point to come over, introduce themselves, and say hello. They were so kind and welcoming, which really made the whole experience feel even more personal. Our tattoo artist did an outstanding job. We had called just a couple hours ahead to see if they had availability, and he confirmed he could take us. We sent over our design idea, and when we arrived, he already had it drawn up and ready to go. The tattoo turned out amazing — vibrant colors, clean lines, and truly top-notch work. Even though we’re originally from South Carolina, we drove three hours from Marfa just to get tattooed here — and it was absolutely worth it. We've been to a lot of shops, and this was genuinely one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Highly recommend Pumping Ink. If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely be returning!

Negative experience: Just leaving this to let everyone know to stay away from Sarah Estrella/star or whatever she goes by. She is very rude and unprofessional. Will promise to finish a tattoo/touch it up for free then get upset when you try to book it. I have the text messages to prove that she went back on her word and tried to make me feel insignificant since it wasn't a paid appointment. She's really good at pretending to be a nice person at first but don't let that fool you. She already had to leave the hive collective more than likely due to a bad reputation from the shop and herself. Just avoid her at all costs and find a much better, more professional artist.

Negative experience: Went in for a 4 letter name approximately 2 inches or so and they said $180 then said "actually $200" our machines too big and will blot it out?

Fantastic experience: My sister and I stumbled across this place looking to get matching tattoos in our father's handwriting. They took us in as a walk-in pretty late. All the guys there were super friendly and professional. Andy was our artist and he did a fantastic job and was quick! I will be back! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: After visiting other tattoo shops and not liking what I saw or how they ran their business, a friend recommended Pumping Ink. First stop in, I was introduced to Rick and was told he would be my artist. He took the time to listen to what I envisioned and I showed him a few pictures, each containing elements of what I wanted, but none that were the full vision. A week later, I went back to see the 4 beautiful designs he had created, picked the simplest one and asked for a couple minor modifications. He nailed it! My experience during the tattooing was incredible...he was focused, precise, and quite the perfectionist! Almost painless with no swelling and very minor scabbing and flaking after (only for the 1st couple of days). I ended up with exactly what I've been trying to accomplish in creating a design and finding the perfect artist to bring it to life!!! (Think I've found my forever artist, lol) THANK YOU RICK & PUMPING INK!

Negative experience: I got this tattoo nearly two weeks ago and it looks horrible it just looks like an outlining of the impression of what he put on. He said it wouldn’t stay OVER TIME I went through all of that for none of the ink to even stay 300 down the drain. He told me he could give me a touch up. That is literally a whole overdue I had a friend asked if I got it in prison. I never been to prison. I honestly don’t recommend at all especially on the hand and I took care of it for two weeks. It’s really embarrassing to show and I wont go back for a touch up as he recommended because I also have scaring on my skin now.

Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of getting a tattoo done by Gil at Pumping Ink, and I couldn't be happier with the experience and the final result. From the moment I walked into the studio, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Gil is an incredibly talented artist. He took the time to listen to my ideas and worked with me to create a custom design that perfectly captured what I had in mind but better. The final tattoo exceeded my expectations and the overall design looks even better than I imagined. I will definitely be returning for my next tattoo!

Negative experience: Idk how this tattoo place even has this rating but don’t be fooled. I was young when I got my tattoos here in 2018/19 and finally writing my review. not knowing what’s professional/not professional and the ink I have on my body is horrible. The lines are not good at all. The other one, the artist offered me a shot before hand (I thought it was normal at the time) and now this tattoo is covered up. But the artists here are not good at all, over charge, take advantage of military members especially. I got my nose pierced here before but the jewelry that was used was a flat bar…. And it was short L, No way that healed. There’s way better tattoo shops out there, please avoid this place. Replying to their response: it’s really gaslighting to invalidate my experience and call me a liar. I finally grew the courage to leave a review. The guy Vegas was one of the tattoo artist and I can’t remember the other guys name. Anyways, that response is the only one needed to prove my point of how unprofessional they are.

Fantastic experience: Got my sleeve done by Pablo. It's amazing. Great place and great group of artists. Very professional and very friendly. These guys know how to make it happen. Stop by and get your tat done. You won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: First and foremost let me start by saying the experience that I had from beginning to end was so comforting and welcoming. The wait time was super minimal. My artist was Pablo He really listened and delivered on what I asked for. Definitely check him out you won’t be disappointed. It was a great conversation definitely will be back in the future to get more work done by him. Love that they make things so convenient by being open 7 days a week. Once you walk in the shop you can tell they take pride in what they have created.

We ended up walking into Pumping Ink and were almost immediately referred to a couple of the artists there. Mario was a good dude and extremely talented. Very professional place and artist. Negative experience: Biggest mistake coming to this parlor for my tat. The end result looked absolutely terrible. Freaking waste of money. I can’t express how bad it looked compared to the art I presented to the “artist”. Literally investing in tattoo removal. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Negative experience: Please, please do not go here. Just recently went to get nip piercings. I don’t remember the piercer name, but nothing had been sterilized, including my own skin, and when asked about it I was told “it’s good”. I should have just stopped right then and there, but I paid upfront. However, it gets worse. The same needle was used for both, with once again, NO sterilization. The left one is almost vertically pierced and the right is almost pierced through the very top. Super butchered. I should’ve stopped at the start, so please, do not go here.

Fantastic experience: I took my 5 year old here to get her first ear piercing. Kenny did a great job. He was training someone, so it took a little longer but I honestly didn’t mind because he did a very good job going through each step. He was great with my daughter. I can see myself and my husband coming back to this shop if either one of us wanted a new piercing or tattoo. *I also wanted to note that although it was a piercing and not a tattoo I didn’t feel the service was overpriced. It was $80 including a nice pair of earrings.*

Fantastic experience: Came here specifically to see hannah! She was so understanding and really took the time to listen to what I wanted which is important to me as it was my first tattoo. I've been going to her ever since especially for my white ink tattoos! I now have 6 tattoos from her and anticipate getting more.

Negative experience: i got my first tattoo here & they charged me 250 for a small tattoo. the tattoo looks like the picture i wanted, but the lines aren’t even & i can’t believe i was scammed out of that much. now after going to professional shops & getting quality work, i know this place scams. women don’t go alone to this tattoo shop if it’s your first tattoo or if you don’t know much about tattoo prices. they take advantage of us.

Fantastic experience: Kenny Munson is incredible!!! He's quite OCD when it comes to cleanliness and detail. I asked him to tattoo a sentence from a letter my mom wrote before she died when I was 19 yrs old. The penmanship is ON POINT. He took his time and completely understood what I was looking for. We shared a moment afterwards...I was so happy with his work and he seemed honored to be the one to do the job. Kenny, I'll be back. This is beautiful!!! Look for him! You won't be sorry! He was also thorough about aftercare.

Fantastic experience: My man, I didnt get his name, bout to go tip him extra, fixed my liner after he pierced my septum. I know where my family is going for piercings and tats. Much love If I could leave another review I would. Went back after two years to get my septum re-done. I swear they are the only ones I trust. Amazing job. Great people. Chill atmosphere. Negative experience: Paid 1200 for a half sleeve, my artist wouldn’t even call me back to finish the tattoo after I finished paying… had to have a different shop finish it… also the tattoo is terrible doesn’t even look like the original drawing

Negative experience: Called and made an appt only to show up told they were closing early ‍♀️ definitely closed at 9:30pm yesterday. TO THE OWNER WHO RESPONDED STATING THAT THE HOURS ARE POSTED ONLINE AND AT THE SHOP: I CALLED AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR 9:15PM-9:30PM FOR TWO NOSE PIERCINGS AND WHEN WE ARRIVED AT 9:20PM THE GIRL LOCKING UP ACTED LIKE I NEVER CALLED AND SAID THEY WERE CLOSING EARLY SINCE IT WAS SLOW. MAYBE CHECK YOUR CAMERAS, IF YOU HAVE ANY.

Fantastic experience: Tattoo artist was great. He works on tattoos on himself to make sure you are getting the vest experience you can possibly get. I will never got to another tattoo artist again as long as I am at Fort Bliss Texas. Prices were great and our experience was superb don't ever look around go to pumping ink Tattoo. They are the best.

Negative experience: First had to wait 2 hours for the tattoo artist to show up then he over charged me ($100) for a 2x2 wrist tat that wasn’t even in the right color, i asked for red and got black; also i got my septum pierced and they did it too low on the cartilage and claimed that i moved which i did not because my friend was recording..and didn’t give me an option for a nose ring just gave me a big thick nose ring. i will not go back here ever again,terrible customer service and terrible prices.

Fantastic experience: Awesome atmosphere and talented artists, The font guy named inkie I believe was very helpful and guided me to the right artist for the idea of tattoo I wanted. I recommend this place! Great vibes all around! And the plus side they have a barber shop right next door awesome!

Negative experience: Had made an appointment for Saturday at 3 pm to get a forearm piece done. I show up to my appointment and am told that they had booked me and three other people at the same time. So I would have to come back at a later time. So after several failed attempts to get in contact with my artist to change the time I finally just called the main number for pumping ink. Talked to them and schedule my new appointment for the following day at 1 pm. I show up and get told that I was an hour early that we had agreed my appointment was at 2pm instead of 1pm. I end up staying and waiting for my scheduled time and when i finally get called back my artist who was supposed to already have started working on drawing up my design that I showed him days prior is barely starting. He cut out a lot of detail from my original idea and I didn’t know this until after he finished. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: After 6 months, my industrial piercing began to push its way out. I went in to fix it and had to pay full price plus some for just the top piercing when I had itdone in the shop originally. Yes I did speak to management. All she said was "it's still $60"

Negative experience: So I’ve had tattoos done here before so I’m not complaining on this portion, dude did great. On the other hand, I got septum piercing done a few days ago. The ring is way to big to flip and my lip hits it when I go to eat. I understand if it’s the only size they had but this is painful. Right after he put the ball on, he didn’t clean the blood running down my face. He said “your done” and went to go talk a coworker. No after care. None. Now, a few days later, something is not right. I’ve been through a number of piercings, including my nose, and I have never been in so much pain.

Negative experience: Went to get a tattoo and was told 600. Ended up going to another shop near my home and got tattoo for 180. Will never go back or recommend this shop to anyone. Since I couldn't respond I decided to edit. It wasn't that I couldn't afford it but not going to pay over inflated prices for simple piece

Positive experience: Great work, but way overpriced. Paid the rate because I was up against a timeline and didn’t have the time to go shopping around for a better price. But like I said, it was good work so I guess this falls in the “you get what you pay for” category

Positive experience: If you want thr old school retro style tattoo parlor, this is the place to go. Good atmosphere, great piercers and tattoo artists. They take care of you.

Fantastic experience: Stilo did both mine and my friends nose ring. He was so calming, patient, and made sure that we were comfortable and okay. He was super fast and careful at the same time, all the staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: i literally loved how fast and clean it was , i got my nose pierced and sergio did it fast and i didn’t feel a thing. he gave me little time to panic or think and made sure i was comfortable as i’m super anxious around needles, everyone was super nice and funny the environment was super friendly .I will definitely be coming back here.

Fantastic experience: I came in to see Hannah (@hannahveld on Instagram) and I cant say enough good things! She was absolutely lovely and understanding....my nerves disappeared after arriving. She did everything she could to understand exactly what I wanted! I got two symmetrical hand tattoos in white ink and I'm in love with them. The design is super cute and she made sure I was comfortable with it before beginning to tattoo. Not only do I have two great pieces but I have an amazing memory to walk away with! I'll be back soon just for Hannah!!

Fantastic experience: I got tattoos from pumping ink tattoo twice by hannah one for a really cute letterings on my back and one red pretty butterfly on my belly and I LOVE her work she did it exactly how they want them to be the environment was super turned up and comfortable she was super nice and also good at her job I would definitely go back to her!
