Fantastic experience: we love dorian! ive gotten two double lobe piercings, two helix, and a belly button piercing here. she has been very kind and makes sure you understand the entire piercing process as well (any risks too!!!). my friend has gotten a conch and my other friend got two helix piercings as well. i also got my lobes resized and the process was super smooth! the prices are around 40-60$, i thinkkk lobe was 40 helix was 50 belly was 60 ish? forrr the regular silver looking jewelry one thing i will say, they DO only take walk ins, and even if you come before they close like 30 mins before, if they have ppl waiting they might not be able to take you, so id suggest coming in at least an hour or more before they close. definitely coming back for more piercings in the future!! :3

Negative experience: Took my granddaughter to get her ears pierced. She's 10. Couldn't do it . It would have been nice if on their website information regarding age restrictions as well as ridiculous state restrictions that in addition the child has to be 13, you must also have the child's birth certificate and a person named on the birth certificate must be present (ie mom or dad). She wanted her ears pierced, not a tattoo! We went to Ulta Beauty and got her ears pierced .

Fantastic experience: I recommend Ace’s to everyone I know. Larissa and Dorian are the best piercers and have done everything I have, and I have been tattooed by Luis who is a fantastic artist!

Positive experience: I went to Lars, she did my septum for my 20th bday! My sweet spot was a little small so we had to take out cartilage, but the healing process has been decently easy so far! So happy that she was able to give me my dream piercing for one of my big birthdays! Ended up being the best gift I received, considering we got snowed in and I didn't get to see any family like originally planned. Thank you so much for this gift and I feel so much more confident now that I have it!

Fantastic experience: Found Alex a couple months ago on instagram and went in for a few tattoos. Loved his work so much and I have been back a few times since. Highly recommend the shop and Alex. I’ve seen other work from other artists up there and can recommend them as well. Shop is full of talented artists! So glad I found them and more than happy with the work I’ve gotten done. Fantastic experience: i gave 5 stars because i couldn’t give 6! i’ve been getting pierced here for 3 years and have had nothing but great experiences to share. it doesn’t matter if lars or dorian is on shift-both are amazing piercers! when my nostril piercing got a keloid, they were so helpful in helping bring the swelling down! if you’re in denton ace’s is the best place to get pierced!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to get my nose re-pierced for my upcoming birthday. I was greeted warmly and promptly in a very clean, organized establishment. Dorian took care of me and discovered that I only needed new jewelry as my previous piercing hadn’t actually closed so she was patient as I decided to go ahead and get another piercing which turned out fantastic. She was quick, professional and efficient. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Negative experience: got my belly pierced and it was an okay experience, but the jewelry was WAY too short and too small to start with.

Fantastic experience: if i could give the front desk and piercing staff 10 stars i would. i’ve been coming to this location since the start of my time in college (aug 2021). You know it’s bad when i call the front desk to just ask a question about the size of my piercings and she knows who i am just by the sound of my voice. The front desk lady was like im pretty sure i recognize this voice, you have the emerald conch right. i would still be going to them for any future piercings even though i moved away now. if you go to college at UNT/TWU and want a loyal place. come here

Fantastic experience: Dorian pierced my septum a while back and it was genuinely THE BEST piercing experience I have ever had. She was kind, informative and did an incredible job. She is the only person I’d ever want piercing me and I’ve sent many friends to her since then and they all agree! I keep brainstorming new piercing ideas just to have an excuse to go back. I could not recommend her more!

Fantastic experience: I went here specifically for Dorian to do my piercings (be sure to check her schedule) because of other great reviews. She did an amazing job and explained everything before starting to make sure I was comfortable and understood the risks. She also explained what she was doing during the process and they turned out great and healed perfectly.

Fantastic experience: Dorian did a dermal not too long ago but not that’s it’s fully healed I wanted to give a review! I was kind of scared going in to the shop for this piercing, but I’ve been wanting it for so long. She did tell me that it is a piercing that requires a lot of maintenance and explain to me all pros and cons. She gave me advice on how to treat it I also ended up buying the piercing solution, and other recommendations that I still follow! The piercing is fully healed and absolutely beautiful and during when she was doing the piercing, she let me squeeze a little stuffy because I was nervous. We also talked about placement and made sure that it wasn’t going to bother me if I wore glasses. All in all my experience was amazing and I highly recommend her. I definitely want to go back to get more piercings with her!

Negative experience: Went and got my nose pierced here a while back. Never had anything but my ears pierced at that point so I was hoping to get some good information from the piercer, Dorian. Unfortunately that isn’t what happened. She was rude, condescending when questions were asked. Pierced my nose and gave me a hoop. I ended up with an infection that I had to get antibiotics for from the Dr. luckily I could keep the piercing. Later, I went elsewhere for another piercing and was told by the second piercer that she shouldn’t have let me go with a hoop until it healed. I would definitely not recommend for piercings. However, the place was clean and tools were clearly sterile.

Mac, Luis, Dorian have always been so kind since 2015. All of them are true artist. As a person who has worked in a tattoo shop and knows how much progression there has been im just so happy that I found a home with them . They are masters at what they do and the attentive time they takes makes it worth any tattoo experience. Mac, you always remember our conversations and my husband and I thank you. Dorian, you always know what I need and respect with such loving care. Luis, you did my first tattoo at aces and I got one that reminded me of my grandma later d9wn the years..know my mom loves you for it.

Fantastic experience: Just got my first tattoo yesterday, very pleased, didn't much more than around an hour for the whole process. Wes (If i'm spelling that correctly) did my tattoo, and even said i was handling it well during the tattooing.

Negative experience: I had left my ID at home so i asked if emailing it was possible. I was told yes. If i had known after two hours i would be told the opposite I would’ve easily gone home and gotten it. Instead they had me sit for over two hours just to contradict what they had told me. They offered absolutely zero customer service. Just a “sorry” and nothing to compensate the time i had wasted. There was no “come in at 1pm tomorrow and i’ll take care of you”. Even the piercer didn’t want to wait an additional 15 minutes for me to go home and come back. All of this could’ve been avoided if the staff knew all of their own policies. Luckily a piecer down the street took me in with no issues.

Fantastic experience: I am beyond happy with my experience with Ace! I went in to get a cover-up done and it is absolutely stunning. Everyone is incredibly nice and I can’t say enough good things about my whole experience. THANK YOU!

Fantastic experience: I got an eyebrow, industrial, septum and vertical labret here, and i have plans to get a tongue piercing in the future and i only trust Dorian or Lars to do them now lol. They are amazing, all of my piercings were done very well and healed wonderfully!

Negative experience: Got my belly button pierced in March, the piercer was not very nice or informative. Additionally she pierced it EXTREMELY crooked. I was very disappointed:(

Fantastic experience: Great service! Gave them a call and was told a price for the specific procedure I needed done. Walked in waited less than 5 minutes also being able to look through the tattoo book. I got taken care of by Spencer! (His third shift) Got my face dermal removed! Got me through it and a business transaction was made. Was able to ask questions that were answered and able to talk to a tattoo artist about a design I was considering. But overall very professional and definitely would recommend it! But also, if you get a face dermal keep them things in it’s not a pleasant feeling getting it taken out of your face.

Fantastic experience: This is the best piercing shop in Denton hands down. I always feel so safe here, I got my nipples and thirds here and have gotten my nose piercings changed a couple of times. Most recently I came in after having gruesomely failed to change my nose stud by myself at home (and gruesome is not an exaggeration). I came in with an earring in my nose and my nostril completely swollen and inflamed. I didn’t even think the corkscrew would make it in there, but the piercer literally reshaped it to fit in my nose and made the process as quick as possible! I’d be lying if I said it was painless, but that was my own fault. My nose was literally throbbing afterward and she gave me an ibuprofen and a water and said treat it like a new piercing. I thought I was back to square one, but when I used the Ace’s piercing spray I purchased when I got my third piercing I was amazed. As I write this it has been almost 24 hours since my piercing was changed and already the swelling and soreness has subsided. That’s exactly why I felt compelled to write this review. I got my nose pierced at a shop NOTORIOUS for botching piercings cus I didn’t know any better. I am so lucky to have stumbled across this gem in a brand new city. Anyways yea GO GET PIERCED HERE!!!

Fantastic experience: Aces is one of my favorite places for piercings in the DFW! Dorian is incredible, she is clearly experienced in her profession (which is saying a lot because I have a ton of piercings!) Dorian really takes her time to assess what you’re interested in, and studies your anatomy for the perfect placement. She doesn’t make you feel rushed, which I appreciate. You will typically have a decent wait time, but I view that as how sought after their employees are. Highly recommend checking this place out; Worth the drive to north TX!

We both felt no pain, and the care we got here was out of this world, we both got asked constantly how we were doing and if we needed anything. Great experience. Negative experience: I went in with my friend to watch her get her first tattoo a few days ago, and I could not believe how we were treated. The artist was incredibly condescending, and kept haughtily calling us "girly" and "dear". My friend wanted a small word on her forearm, and the artist made it incredibly clear that he wanted it to be done quickly so we would leave. She asked him to redraw the stencil to fix a letter (which only took about 5 minutes). When he brought it back he said, and I quote "you better like this because I am absolutely not drawing it again. I have a 6:30 appointment, and you're stressing me out." At first I thought he was just messing with her, but he was not. My friend is very soft-spoken, and I was worried that he was pressuring her into saying she liked it. Obviously, a small tattoo like the one she got would not be such a big deal to a man covered in tattoos, but this was her first one and it was special to her. After reassuring me that she really did like it, the tattoo itself took about 2 minutes. My friend is happy with the way it turned out, but I'm still annoyed with how insanely patronizing this guy was. I get how the "typical girls getting a tattoo just to get one" is probably an annoying and all-too-real stereotype, but we were still respectful and paying customers. Don't make my friend feel like an idiot just because she wants something that is going to be on her body FOREVER to be perfect.

Fantastic experience: I love this place so much! The atmosphere is so lovely, everyone there is so sweet and thoughtful! I got my septum and vertical labret done there by Lars, they did an amazing job. The piercings healed really well and the placement looks awesome! I’m going back here to get my eyebrows done soon. I highly recommend this place if you live around the downtown Denton area! 5 stars and a thanks to Lars for their amazing work!

Negative experience: Waited an hour and a half to get a nose piercing. Was asking reception girl (she had pink hair and a horrible attitude) for any updates or possible time estimate on how much longer. She acted like she was being bothered. She couldn't bother to look anyone in the face while talking to them. And was just extremely rude all around. My friend and I ended up leaving without our nose piercings due to a time issue on our part not an issue with the actual business. The business seemed nice and clean and all the other employees were great and friendly but the reception girl left a bad impression. We would like to go back for our piercings and hopefully she won't be there. One day she will run into someone who won't accept that kind of behavior from a total stranger, she should consider herself lucky that day hasn't happened yet. YES SHE WAS THAT RUDE

Negative experience: Tried coming in for simple piercing, told 30 min wait time, waited an hour, had to leave. Came back next day, same exact thing. Asked both times to make an appointment for the next day, will not do it. Plenty of other places in denton.

Fantastic experience: Love this place. Been getting tattoos there since they first opened. Took my 15 year old daughter to get her cartlidge pierced. Need a copy of the birth certificate and the minor needs a photo ID. Nice and easy. Highly recommend them for tats and piercings.

Fantastic experience: The owner and her entire staff is beyond sweet!!! They definitely make you feel safe and welcomed and like you are at home. Best place to get anything done!! The owner did my 1 yr olds ear piercings today (03/12) and she definitely made us feel so much at ease and definitely less traumatic. Thank you sooo much!!!! 10/10 recommend! She has the sweetest soul and the kindest heart!

Fantastic experience: Recently, I went to Ace Tattoos to purchase a new nose ring. Years ago, I went to get my nose re-pierced here, and it was a good experience. Hence, why I chose to go back. Dorian helped me pick a new nose ring and put it in. She educated me on where to look for different pieces for the specific type of nose ring and the benefits of choosing certain metals for my nose ring. However, what blessed me and my encounter with Dorian was her asking me how my day was. I was honest and shared that my day wasn't going well and life was hard. My vulnerability and honesty didn't catch Dorian off guard. She leaned into the moment, expressed kindness and empathy, and made me feel better in the time she assisted me. I appreciated her being so kind and encouraging on top of providing excellent customer service. Later that day, I was at another store, and a cashier asked me about my nose ring. I shared Dorina's business card with her, told her everything Dorian told me, and suggested she see Dorian when she's ready to get her nose pierced. Shout out to Ace Tattoos for hiring Dorian. She's a gem and a beautiful human being!

Negative experience: Hi so kindness is free to give and doesn’t cost you all anything. I don’t understand why every time I come into this shop I am treated rudely or like I am a nuisance whenever I come in to purchase jewelry. “I’m just trying to sell this girl some jewelry “ says the greeter to another person working there with annoyance. I didn’t disrespect anyone when I came even when one of the people working complained about me to another person working there just because I asked questions. I was buying the jewelry for my mother-in law and some of the jewelry I wasn’t familiar with. I am a paying customer I mean if you don’t want people to come in to buy jewelry and only want them to come in for tattoos then stop selling jewelry. Kindness and respect for another human being is free to give. I give it to you all why not in return give it to anyone who walks in the door.

Fantastic experience: Very professional staff, minimal pain for my piercing and it is currently healing quite well. Was a little bit pricy for an ear piercing, but well worth it. They gave out a pamphlet with a lot of information, and provided me with a high quality stud. May come back for a second piercing someday!

Fantastic experience: 20/10, highly recommend. My artist was Flowerhead who is insanely talented. I have had multiple artists tattoo me, but she is my favorite so far. She was able to take me last minute, and put in so much work to make sure my small tattoos were perfect. She did not rush them, and was willing to put in time to making sure the smallest of details were perfect. She was also extremely kind, welcoming, talkative and understanding. I absolutely loved my experience!

Fantastic experience: came in to the shop to have my nose piercing reopened after my jewelry had fallen out months ago and ended up changing out all my facial jewelry while I was in! Rina was so patient and helpful, letting me take my time picking out what jewelry would work best! highly recommend all of the piercers here!

Fantastic experience: Every time I have been to aces, I have left floating on a cloud. This shop has been my favorite shop ever since I was the legal age. Fantastic experience: Been here on multiple occasions with friends for piercings. The shop is always really neat and clean with cool music playing. Dorian is an incredible piercer, and I really respect how informative and deliberately communicative she is from the moment you begin to fill out paperwork, as she’s starting the piercing process, to the thoughtfulness of providing water and ibuprofen afterwards to kickstart the aftercare process of healing a new piercing. She pierced my nostril earlier this year and so pleased with my experience getting my septum pierced today. Such a nice person and really makes a point to ensure clients are educated and comfortable. Definitely looking forward to coming back for more!

Fantastic experience: I had a piercing that was done at another shop and it was struggling to heal and scarring/swelling after THREE months of regular care. Dorian took out the jewelry, cleaned up the piercing site really well, broke up some of the scar tissue, and put in fresh jewelry for me. It is healing BEAUTIFULLY. She was so sweet, fun, and caring. Forever and always coming back here for any and every piercing need.

Fantastic experience: Amazing! Absolutely amazing! Got both my nipples pierced by Dorian, it was so fast and easy and she made me comfortable. Gave me everything I needed to know had Amazing communication skills. She’s honestly a gifted piercer! I was terrified before hand but once I got with her she calmed my fears and it was so fast! There’s a reason this place is best of Denton 2022, I’ll definitely be back for any of my tattoo and piercing needs.

Fantastic experience: Always get my piercings done here. They are so gentle and informative on how to take care of the piercings after. And they are super encouraging to those who make have a lot of anxiety. Prices are also very reasonable. You just pay for the earrings which range from $40-$65.

Fantastic experience: Dorian Tellez is the best body piercer! She's attentive to detail, cleanly, and quick in her execution--little to no pain whatsoever! I've gotten a few piercings from her over the last few years, and her's always heal the best compared to other piercers. (Aces also has the best jewelry variety!) Needless to say, go to Dorian, because even though I live in Frisco, I would rather drive to Denton to get a piercing by her. She's exceptional!

Fantastic experience: I got Snake Bites done by Dorian and I had a great experience! The establishment is not hard to find and it's super clean inside. Friendly staff, cool music, and there is room for waiting. Dorian is especially attentivee very professional! Prices are good, great experience!

Positive experience: Ive never had a bad experience with a tattoo artist or piercer, but the ladies at the front desk ALWAYS seem to have an attitude when i come in. just never seem welcome when i walk in. considering going to a different shop for my tattoos and piercings because of this. which makes me so sad because ive always had good experiences with the artists themselves

Negative experience: They greet you at the door, but they forget about you. Sat there an hour with my daughter and no one came to talk to us. We ended up leaving. Oct. 1 2022 around 5pm ish. Shop wasn't busy at the time so no real excuse. Went to lizards ink tattoo down the street and turned out awesome with great customer service.
