Positive experience: Nice place, got us in no problem. The only issue is my tattoo has faded severely due to not being outlined and shaded enough prior to this one I have had other tattoos so I know how to care for it, but the artist did not provide instructions either now I have to go get my tattoo retouched because I live out of state.

Fantastic experience: I had an awesome experience getting my daith pierced by Cordis! From the moment we walked in, Cordis had such a great vibe—super chill and welcoming. He explained the whole process clearly, kept things relaxed, and had me in and out in no time. The actual piercing was quick and smooth, and I felt totally comfortable the entire time. I’ll definitely be coming back for any future piercings. Heads up—he’s cash only, but there’s an ATM right in the lobby which made it super easy. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten both tattoos and piercings here and cannot recommend the shop enough - especially for piercings. Cordis is the absolute best. He is always kind, patient, and willing to answer literally any question you have. He’s done 12 piercings for me over the course of 10 years, all of which were done well and healed wonderfully. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this place enough. I’ve been to this place several times for tattoos and piercings. My Piercings were walk in. I got 2 done today and My piercer Was extremely professional. Very thorough. And was all around fantastic. I have had numerous piercings in the past that did not heal correctly and the ones I’ve gotten from here have never had an issue. The tattoos I’ve gotten still look very fresh and vibrant (nearing 6 years old full color with no touch ups). I wish the ratings were higher than five stars

Positive experience: Went in as a walk in to get some piercings changed, didn’t have to wait long to see Corbin. He was very friendly and got us in and out quick, but the selection of jewelry was very minimal, and the “rose gold” rings we got, tarnished and wore to a yellow gold in under a week.

Fantastic experience: Called the day before to make sure what we wanted was available. No appointment needed for piercings. Took my friend in the next day to get pierced. Everyone was friendly, the shop was immaculate and the piercer explained everything step by step i.e. 'this is going to be the uncomfortable part, this part will take the longest, I'll do this and you need to do this'. The piercing is absolutely beautiful and just what she wanted. Highly recommend checking them out.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE!!! Before and after pictures below, two weeks later. Tattoo is now infected!!! I came here for a tattoo and made an appointment at 11am and was told that my appointment was set for 5pm by the front desk attendant. When I got to my appointment the man told me that he could only do one tattoo instead of the two we scheduled because he had someone else behind me. He also continuously pressured me to shrink my son’s footprints because he wanted to rush the process for the appointment after me. When the man began the tattoo, I noticed he was tattooing very deeply. I asked for him to tattoo softer because in my experience, anytime a tattoo is done too deeply it heals horribly. He told me that you’re supposed to tattoo very deeply so the color will remain. He also asked me whether it was still hurting after I stopped acknowledging his intentional shanking of my skin. After I told him I’d never bled so much from a tattoo he told me I wasn’t bleeding as much as I was imagining. When I came in the shop to consult the artist and the owner, I was told it was supposed to look like it does and I just requested a refund. I was told that I can’t have the tattoo and my money back and I honestly would’ve never paid for the tattoo from hell had I have know it would look like this. I began crying because of how emotional I was especially because it’s my baby’s footprints and was told I can cry all I want and was told to leave. This tattoo shop doesn’t value their customers satisfaction at all. Anything you request will be dismissed with “I’ve been tattooing for 30+ years, I know best.” Edit: I was told by the owner that I’d receive a refund if I got the tattoo covered up because I couldn’t have the tattoo and my money back despite emphasizing to him how money I didn’t want the horrendous tattoo I was stuck with. I got a coverup and I called to request a refund. To no surprise at all, that conversation was very combative and I was told that no one said I’d receive a refund. I have absolutely no doubt that this hateful, deranged, evil service that I was subjected to was racially charged. If you’re a part of the global majority, I highly recommend you receive services elsewhere. My coverup tattoo I received at a different tattoo shop that has done an immaculate job has healed fantastically with no deep sores, no excessive bleeding during the tattoo session, and no infections. God is amazing

Fantastic experience: Went in for a nose piercing and Cordis did an amazing job. I was worried about placement, but it wasn’t an issue with him, and he makes sure to check with you just in case you’d like to alter the placement. The piercing didn’t hurt at all either. There’s a lot of chill people and the energy and layout of the place is very relaxing, i’d recommend this place for sure.

Fantastic experience: Cordis is literally the best person in the entire establishment. I've been seeing him for years. He's done about 15+ modifications/piercings for me. Answered all my questions and concerns for every one. Has helped me change my jewelry when I couldn't do it myself. Every visit he's gone above and beyond to see that I was comfortable and okay. One particular time I had to take a few min to compose myself after a painful modification and he catered to my every need. I will never go to another shop for piercings again. He's so professional, knowledgeable, and a good hearted person. We've discussed many people piercings I thought I wanted and he helped weigh pros and cons of particular placements and offered alternatives. He's so good at his job and his customer service is excellent. Love him and will never spend my money anywhere else. I would also like to note that I am a trans person and Cordis has always gone above and beyond to make sure that I felt comfortable and safe in that aspect, correcting his coworkers on my pronouns, and just radiates love for me being comfortable to be my authentic self. Negative experience: I had my vch done here perfect anatomy plenty of skin mine tore in half cuz they used to heavy of jewelry. Asked another piercer and basically belly button jewelry was used. Which is too big and too heavy for this area now I don’t know if I’ll heal properly to even have the chance of having it redone. I paid almost 200$ and I’m completely devastated by this. After talking with multiple piercers they said jewelry was incorrect and placement was also bad.

Fantastic experience: Great environment and aesthetics. Wonderful service team as soon as you walk through the door. And the tattoo artists are kind and considerate of everything that you need. I would definitely consider this location to start a adventure in your tattoos. Two thumbs up.

Negative experience: Wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money. Regardless of their work they're extremely rude and not interested in new clientele. I tried scheduling some ink and was told they were out till October which I replied was fine and would be willing to put a deposit down and schedule. The story then changed and I was told I would have to come in to schedule. When I replied I lived 3 hours away they simply said I won't be able to help you and weren't interested in any scheduling at all. Fine by me I'd rather travel 4 or 5 hours to a decently operated business that is professional.

Fantastic experience: My friends and I had an exceptional experience last night with Mike. We decided last minute to get tattoos (right before closing) and they let us take our time and make it such a fun experience while our friend got her first tattoo. They turned out perfect and the linework is spectacular! They were personable and so kind even after the shop was closed they allowed us to wait for our Uber inside while it poured rain. Mike even helped make sure we made it to our Uber because they had trouble with road closures. We would recommend to anyone and couldn’t stop ranting about how wonderful of an experience we had. Fantastic experience: i had an amazing experience here ! i always feel kind of anxious going into tattoo shops but the people here were so kind & welcoming. i came in to get the other side of my nose pierced, he took his time to make sure it was in the right spot & i love it !! they also had time to do a small tattoo for me which i also love ! 10/10 recommend & i will be back ☺️

Fantastic experience: Mike is an amazing artist and super friendly and personable. The shop is very clean and has an ambiance that only the best shops pull off. While I was waiting, I listened as the artists expertly guided patrons. Taking their ideas and turning them into unique and personal tattoos. Though I didn't get a piercing, I met the piercer and he was friendly and the type of character you want to put holes in your body.

The front desk secretary was very kind, the other artists also were kind. They also have a wonderful pet supply store connected! (K9 closet) The lady running it was SO SWEET! Fantastic experience: 14 years after my last tattoo. I walked in Friday nervous, walked out today (Sunday) with a gorgeous new tattoo, better than I could have imagined! It was my first full color! Negative experience: Have been here multiple times with my friend and what we have been told has never been consistent. The piercing was quick and cheap… but come to find out they went the cheap route after talking to a more experienced piercer. DO YOUR RESEARCH before getting a piercing, especially here. The jewelry is extremely low quality so I would consider it a waste of my money and time. They also didn’t give me ANY aftercare instructions..

Fantastic experience: My cousin Blake is the most awesome and the best person on this entire planet to get a tattoo from. I’ve seen him use a needle to poke a balloon filled with just regular air twice and it didn’t pop. Best tattoo artist ever. I love my cousins store and it’s awesome that they’re store is now together.

Negative experience: the piercer here is god awful and one of the rudest most emotionally unstable individuals I have ever come into contact with. People like that should not be paid to offer services especially something as serious as stabbing someone with a needle. I had the weirdest interaction of my whole life and would just like to warn people do not come here for anything piercing related!!!!

Positive experience: I’ve had 5 piercings here and every single time the ball of the jewelry has fallen out multiple times, and it’s nearly impossible to put the jewelry back in. They use internally threaded jewelry which I, personally, am not a fan of because I find it the most difficult to put on and tighten by yourself. I’ve had my snakebites pierced for not even two full weeks and I’ve had to put the jewelry back in at least 5 times and I’ve visited the store twice for ball replacements. The male piercer was very nice about replacing the jewelry and giving me new balls/longer post. However, when I went in to get the post changed out to hoops after my ball fell off yet again, the female piercer told me she wouldn’t switch my jewelry out because it’s too new. Now, as someone who’s been pierced 30 times in the last decade, I know there can be infection risk to switching jewelry out too soon…but I don’t really think cleaning balls that have fallen on the ground off and spending 15+ minutes trying to twist it back in reduces any infection risk. My issue here is the lack of consistent practice. She stated she would not change out the jewelry but the male piercer would (but he was not present on the day I went in). My other issue is that she would not hand over sterile, packaged jewelry without wearing gloves. While not a big issue, just something that weirds me out. Makes me think my jewelry isn’t sterile… Anyways, as I am writing this I am already much happier to have a hoop instead of a post in but I still can’t get the ball on the other side in.

Fantastic experience: Took my 16-year-old daughter here to get her ear pierced at the top. They were very nice and calming. I was surprised because she doesn't like needles but the young lady that took care of her did an excellent job. She explained everything that she was going to do so that she didn't feel the needle. The place was very well-kept, clean, bright and peaceful. I'm quite sure that she will be going back when she's older for another piercing or a tattoo. Very pleased.

Fantastic experience: Took my 16yr old last month to get his ears pierced. Immediately entering the place the guys up front were super friendly & relaxed. Definitely great with small talk with my son & made sure he was good to go. Super easy process submitting our documents for him. We only had to wait a very short amount of time before Cordis got us. Cordis was also super comfortable to be around, friendly and made sure the kid was happy with placement etc…I really loved that jewelry was included. He had exactly what we wanted in stock/available & absolutely no issues afterwards. No redness, no soreness etc..couldn’t have gone better. I’ll forever recommend this place!

Positive experience: Decent setup. There’s a pool table in there. They also have an ATM (it’s cash only). They do a good job with piercings for the most part (one lady there is really good, the other is OKAY). I don’t remember her name though. Never got a tattoo here. But I got my nose pierced twice. Warning .. They aren’t the friendliest lol but that’s typical for most tattoo shops (although it is nice when the people are more friendly than not). But despite that.. they’re the most decent piercing shop I’ve been able to find in Kansas City. They moved my mark for my piercing until I liked it. There’s one more shop I heard is good but last I checked they required you to be vaccinated. So I found this place on google. Hope this helps! ✨

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience here getting an industrial piercing. I felt comfortable during the piercing process and left with a big smile on my face. Thanks Irezumi! Also the staff is super kind here.

Negative experience: I have been pleased with their service and patience for first-timers. With that being said, I wouldn't recommend this to those who are unfamiliar with ear piercings, more specifically. There are better places to go that will give you better jewelry that'll be easier to heal and less likely to get infected. The type of jewelry they use will twist off, and you won't be able to turn it back on yourself. I went here three times, believing it was a good place so I spent $240 here in a year. I went to another place and paid $60 for one piercing instead of $80 for two helix piercings, and I have had it longer than any of the piercings I got here. Don't fall for the " jewelry is included" because what seems like a good deal made me feel like I was in a bad situation.

Fantastic experience: Super awesome place! I got my helix pierced here the other day and the staff was extremely kind and professional. All of the tools were sterilized with an autoclave and the building was also well kept and clean. I would definitely recommend going here to get pierced.

Negative experience: I had a horrible experience a couple days ago. I went in to get my conch earring changed out for a hoop. Dude changed out my daith instead and wanted to argue that I misspoke. I asked him before he put the hoop in of it was big enough for the conch. Turns out it wasn't. My ear is now painfully swollen from the jewelry being too tight. My whole ear is red. Terrible piercer.

Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten around 4 tattoos from here and my boyfriend has gotten two, we both honestly will never go to a different place for anything we automatically loved this place since we found it, I can’t wait to go back! Everyone one was super friendly and made the environment very comfortable! I love my tattoos they look even better than the pictures I showed! We were walk-ins the first few times so I was kinda worried that they’d not put the same amount of effort in as they would with an appointment (I’ve experienced that at a different place) but they were honestly amazing every time! Negative experience: i went in for a vertical labret piercing. first of all the staff was standoffish. the piercer wasn’t very warm and when i told her what i wanted, she looked at my lip and said that ‘i didn’t have a defined enough lip’. she then told me that she tried to do one on herself and it rejected. i left because i was set on having that piercing and it was clear she wasn’t comfortable doing it. i talked to a friend of mine, who also went there and was told the same thing, (who is someone who has very big and defined lips) but when my friend went to another place, she was able to get the piercing and it healed just fine. the next day i went to Radiance Piercing and got the labret. when i told Kait (my piercer) about this, she said it wasn’t even a thought in her head when looking at my lips. i wish that the piercer would have just told me she doesn’t like doing those kinds of piercings, instead of making me and other people feel like that piercing isn’t even possible for them when it is.

Negative experience: Only reason why it isnt one star is because the guy was nice. Came in for an ear piercing, re-peirce my eyebrow and snake bites. The only good thing he did was the earring. My eyebrow piercing was NOT secure and ripped out of my face on a pillow. The snake bites; one is halfway on my lip amd the other literally through the lip. Im not a piercier but i know snake bites go under the lip..

Negative experience: Me and 2 friends came into this place a couple weeks ago to get piercings, within a week my friends conch fell out, and the re piercer told her that the placement was awful insulting her own co worker. Super unprofessional. then a week later my friends lip piercing fell out, the re piercer told her that her placement was bad. Then my tragus piercing falls out last night. This place is cheap for a reason, and unless you want your jewelry to fall out, be told the placement sucks, and then pay to get it put back in....don't come here.

Fantastic experience: This place gets five stars from me. I took my teen her for a tattoo and was politely denied. No problem at all for me. The gentleman explained the missouri laws for age required for tattoo's and piercings. It was awesome to have someone other then yourself explain to your teenager the laws. Fantastic experience: Went here for a memorial daisy tattoo for my first rescue dog Daisy. Brad was very nice and helpful with suggestions. Front desk guy was funny and very easy going. Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: Pretty crazy that a place with such good artists offers walk-in appointments every day. Brad hooked it up with a killer sunflower tattoo, and they let my sisters hang in the back with and even put on a movie for them. The most important thing in a tattoo shop after the quality of art is the vibe, and this place nails it on both. Check out the dope Wu Tang flash art on the wall too

Fantastic experience: Went in to make a piercing appt, but was able to get it done right then. The artist was very nice/reassuring and talked through everything that was being done. Reasonably priced and very quick. Also it was such a neat building! According to someone who works there it used to be an old funeral home, so it has some really interesting history.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time! Robert (Rob) was my artist. Beautiful work. Clean. Great conversation keeper. I only waited like 20 mins. Walk ins always. Cash only. 12/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Could not recommend more, I’m an impulsive person and irezumi makes it a breeze! I’ve gotten two tattoos and a piercing, and all the staff I met and worked with was professional and super chill! If you’re in KC and need something done, I cannot emphasize it enough, GO HERE!!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved my experience at Irezumi! Walked in and waited less than an hour and had the best experience with Dennis! He did exactly what I wanted! He was a great artist and was so kind.

Positive experience: I went to get a tattoo I had been planning for 3 years. I showed them the idea I had and told them what I wanted to edited. I started with one of the artists and he sent me the edit 3 weeks later but when I responded with my thoughts I never heard from him again. So I went in again to get a different artist, I had asked them to send me a pic when they finished the sketch. The week of the appointment I had asked again for the photo. They told me he would send it to me before my appointment. They day of I called and said he won’t be in till my appointment so I’ll see it then. The tattoo still wasn’t what I wanted it to be and we kept editing. I told him the size I wanted and it ended up being a lot bigger than expected which maybe that’s on me. He added shading into the image and I didn’t want any of that shading. The only shading I had said would be okay was for the hair. It is shaded throughout the entire piece. Yes he did a great job, and its a great piece. It’s not what I wanted. I wish I know how much he was shading bc it wasn’t in the sketch.

Negative experience: I had a Scheduled appointment for this evening (10/05/21) 6pm with Kevin. I arrived at 550pm and there was a guy at the counter talking with someone and when he finally acknowledged me he asked if he could help me. I stated that I had an appointment and he said who with because he didn't have anyone on his books. I told him Kevin and he said he has been out sick this week. So, I drove over 30mins one way for a scheduled apt that wasn't going to happen. I did read the reviews before hand. There were some good reviews and some not so good. You will get that anywhere I get it. But when you have an artist out SOMEONE should call the scheduled people to cancel. To top it off the guy literally acted like it was no big deal. Well it is a big deal to some of us. Here is my advise, if you want to take your chances here, call before you go, even if you have an appointment because they won't call you if anything changes. I will never recommend this place to anyone just because of the poor customer service.

Negative experience: I took my daughter in to get her nose pierced. 2 days later it came out. The only instructions we were giving was how to keep it clean. When I went up there and called on the phone I was told they would not give my daughter her money back (which she paid for herself or redo the job without another $40. It's sad that a wonderful experience for her was taking away because of greed and not enough information on making sure it was secured. She would have been a returning customer but not now

Negative experience: I was super excited to get a tattoo today, it is my nineteenth birthday. However, I wish I could take it back and never have come here. The artist was rushed, starting the conversation by saying how he has three appointments after mine to do, and he can’t run behind. Guess what? That’s not my problem! I was told to come in at 11:30 via on the phone, as they never answered my emails. Then I come in and they tell me 12:30. Cool, not an issue. I come back and he’s rushing everything telling me if I want to change parts of the tattoo I will have to come back tomorrow. I made a small change, so it wasn’t an issue and we headed up to start. The whole tattoo took around 30 minutes, and as he was going I would take a peek and everything seemed to be alright. And then he wrapped it up and I went home. I took off the bandage and immediately broke down in tears. The line work was so uneven and messy, the hearts ARENT EVEN FULLY COLORED. They aren’t even facing the same direction! Or centered! I have been crying on and off all day about it, and my mom has to remind me to stop looking at it because I just start to cry. when putting something permanent on another person, you DO NOT RUSH. I wish I would’ve seen the red flags from this artist. I’m sure the rest of the artists are great, and from what I’ve been told he has been tattooing for a while, but today was the worst experience I’ve ever had while getting a tattoo. I am still so so upset. I have called and they said they would fix it no charge (bare minimum) but I still have yet to hear about getting any sort of refund. This tattoo is so messed up I breakdown because I am worried some parts simply are too messed up to save. Not all hope is lost, but it truly made me upset (an understatement) and was not a great birthday.

Fantastic experience: They always rock I've had art work and piercing.. Always great, but I'm sad because Im allergic to nickel so piercing always had to come out!!!! And its surgical steel but I can't and I did it many times. Ear stomach tongue... But had reactions

Fantastic experience: Rob was great on my first tat I was vary nervous and scared bc I didn’t know how it felt bc I have always been afraid of needles but with him I hardly felt anything at all . He was considerate of how I felt about the situation at hand and made me feel comfortable til or if he retires he’s the only one that with tat me up. But all the guys there seemed great and professional, Rob has a great hand and artistic creativity love the tat I got in memory of my late mother that lost her fight after 5yrs of cancer. Great great person Rob is definitely recommend him for ur first or more ink! Will definitely be back bc of him and now I’m addicted to being tat’d lol

Fantastic experience: Went for ear lobe piercings and they were out of jewelry, that weekend and late in the day, they offered another studio whom they felt comfortable sending us to. Facility was clean, staff was inviting, and got a tattoo ball park while I was there.

Fantastic experience: My piercer was great. Super friendly and made me feel comfortable. I love the jewelry he used and it all took only 15 minutes for two piercings. Didn’t hurt at all and it’s the same day of my piercing and I’m not experiencing any redness or pain

Fantastic experience: The first time I went I had Cordis. He was very nice and laid back which I liked. This was my first time getting extra piercings and he made it happen in a breeze. I apparently don't do to well with pain and kinda snapped on him because he said I was a bleeder. I did apologize because I didn't realize it came off that way which wasn't my intention but he took it like a champ. He didn't get upset or anything and even made a joke out of it lol. I went back to get the last 4 piercings from him. I have no complaints and I will visit again when I am ready for new piercings but that won't be for a while because these last few hurt alot more than the first two. I got a total of 6 piercings. Prices are kinda high but I don't mind. Haven't had no issues with any of my piercings so far.

Fantastic experience: The energy here is unmatched and their work is even better. I recently got my finger tattoos done by Jacob, and they're so dope! I couldn't be happier. 10/10 would recommend

Fantastic experience: The place itself is great but the people who work there made all the difference. Chris could sense my daughter’s nervousness about getting her second piercings while waiting and completely put her at ease with his humor and warm personality. He even went back with her for moral support :) Cordis did the piercing and he too was phenomenal. Warm, friendly, and lots of humor for our daughter. My takeaway- this place and these people are great! Only feedback would be is to provide as much info over the phone as possible. We did a walk-in and only after our few prior phone calls did I realize that only a certain individual can do under age 15. As this was a Christmas gift and we were from out of town it would have been a let down not to be able to get the service done while in KC. Big thank you to Chris and Cordis- you both are amazing!
