My artist was Diego, he was professional as well, made sure I was pleased with the design/placement before tattooing with no pressure. I love my tattoos! I will certainly recommend. He said he could do even better. When I arrived at the shop the next day, I was welcomed warmly, which made the whole experience even better. I came in with a specific design and was really nervous about the sizing—I didn’t want anything that would obstruct my muscle or hide my chest definition. I was originally leaning toward something smaller, but James strongly suggested going with a larger 5x5 scale. He was 100% right. We stenciled it out, and the larger size actually frames the pec perfectly rather than just sitting on top of it. The detail he got into the archer is insane, and the placement makes the muscle look even more defined. If you’re a lifter and worried about a tattoo messing with your aesthetics, trust James’s eye for anatomy. Professional, clean work, and he knows exactly how to scale a piece to fit your frame. Came out looking sick with clean thick lines and precision detail to the liberty bell with the wood. Mike did the clean NY Jets jet with a Phillies P. Having the green made the P pop! Both took us as walk-ins, which is always a mega bonus.

He was aware of making sure my wife and myself were comfortable and made sure we had whatever we needed( even went and got me soda and a snack).The only problem is that he doesn't live in Oregon because I would definitely get more tattoos from him.

She had such a gentle hand even when she had to guage my piercing to a bigger size since it was improperly pierced with the wrong jewelry by a lazy piercer elsewhere. She also taught me proper cleaning regimens to prevent any more complications!

Negative experience: I spoke with an artist at this shop who quoted me $600 for a tattoo and promised to send the design via Instagram. After our meeting, I followed up a week later by calling and texting multiple times, mentioning that the tattoo was for my birthday. Unfortunately, I never received a response from the artist. The complete lack of communication after the initial consultation was disappointing and unprofessional. I can't recommend this shop, and I advise others not to waste their time.

G returned my phone call the same day, and, since one of his clients didn’t show up, I was able to get in right away. Normally, his wait time is about a month and a half to two months. His shop is super clean and located in the heart of Northern Liberties, Philadelphia, PA. We had a good conversation and shared some of the same interests that life throws our way. I highly recommend 187 Ink Tattoo.

Fantastic experience: Kate did four ear piercings for me and it was quick, easy, and painless! A couple weeks later, long story short, I pulled an earring halfway through my ear trying to get it out and it got stuck inside of my ear (this was an old piercing that Kate did not do). I stopped by and Kate put so much effort into getting it out for me so I could avoid a hospital visit. I was super emotional from the scary situation and she did a great job at making me feel calm. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about piercings and piercing recovery. Great service and good pricing.
