Fantastic experience: I’m as regular a client can be to a tattoo studio and I’ve been to 24 other studies between Portland and Everett. Always greeted kindly by front of house staff, always listened to, always taken care of, always delighted by the outcome. Bella has tattooed me twice and Khwezi has tattooed me 13 times in projects from small to large to re-dos including a full coverup on my husband. This is the place I send people.

Negative experience: over priced jelwery and shitty service. the service was very rushed and the piercer seemed to have an attitude when requesting to see how the jewlery might look in a differnt spot before pirecing .

Negative experience: I went here in 2023 for a basic helix. It kept getting infected and created a raised scar, and I had to pull it out because the piecer half my age ended up not properly piercing my cartilage. He barely made it in there and that's why I kept having so much irritation. Last year I pierced the helix by myself and had zero issues using the same type equipment and stud they used. Get some training guys. $150 is a waste of money here.

Fantastic experience: I had my septum pierced by Colin and it was a great experience! I was initially hesitant to be pierced by a dude but Colin was super informative & kind. I’d definitely go back to him for another piercing.

Negative experience: LJ is great, but I was 2 minutes beyond the grace period because of traffic and they rejected me at the door. This appointment is just for shortening my EXISTING piercing’s rod. I also did this piercing with Laughing Buddha a few months ago so I am an existing client. I tried to ask if I can just get it done since the piercing artist is here, but they are just not willing to. I am disappointed that they are so inflexible with their customers.

Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten 2 tattoos from Bella and have had amazing experiences both times. I will be back! I’m in love with my tattoos.❤️ she’s the best!

Fantastic experience: Got two piercings from LJ and had a great experience! Absolutely would recommend. The space is clean, inviting, and comfortable, and the folks in reception were warm, welcoming, and helpful. I would absolutely return here for any future piercings!

Negative experience: Come here for the piercings and aftercare but never the earrings post piercing. LJ (Lil John) was my piercings artist for all 6 of my lobe piercings February & March 2025. He's a pro, he knows what he's doing and will keep you from an infection or the piercing being ghastly or something. And getting six piercings in the span of two months I had a check up a few months in to see him and confirm they were healing right. Now I get -- and they state -- they have to pierce you with these medical grade studs that have a flatback post. All check marks here. You have to wear it 24/7 so you need the studs in while you sleep and it's easier to sleep in them and keep clean, etc. After 9 months of constant wear I wanted to wear my gold hoops and platinum hoops, and taking these starter earrings out is a pain from their design, but it gets worse because well you don't want to really sleep in hoops or big earrings because it's pretty uncomfortable and it will pull on your ear while sleeping. Probably shouldn't sleep in earrings at all but first year or so you need to for the hole to stay open. When I went to clean the accursed little studs they fell out of my hand and down the drain. Oops. Now I was stuck sleeping in my hoops. My fault. Full accountability here. When I went back to the shop hoping I could get different backed earring studs Adam and other staff informed me they only have these flatbacks. Said the whole schpeel about cleanliness and such for why they use them etc. They gave me another website that may have other earrings and backings/post types. No avail. I bought butterfly posts from Amazon thinking okay I'll just get the old studs again from Laughing Buddha and use these backs. Went back to Adam, told they're not compatible but maybe we can do longer posts to make it easier to swap out my earrings. I'm thinking it will be a lot easier with non-starter earrings. NOPE! The post is longer but the earring pierce and post hole is still just as ridiculously small (see pictures). I put a United States quarter to reference how SMALL this is. Now imagine trying to get these easily to connect in your EAR with your hands behind your head fidgeting. Exactly. I don't know in what world these are convenient earrings to take in and out. I've spent the last two hours with as steady of hands as possible to get these back in my ears and could only get 2 out of 6. I gave up and have just put my hoops back in and goth pendulum. Not worth the headache and $237 extra dollars I spent for these replacements. And yes, they totally offer you the ability to make an appointment and have a piercer help you with them (because with holes this small you really need someone else's eyes and to get close to your ear to get it in) for a price. Between requesting we make an appointment to buy jewelry and then an additional cost to have someone put it in for me I'd rather pass and get cheap Claire's earrings that have normal posts and backings where you can put in your earrings in 5 minutes and take them out within the same amount of time. Not spending $$$ for my piercer to change my earrings for me every time I want to wear different earrings and need to go back to these studs. Come for the piercings but once your wound heals, don't buy their earrings. Period. Unless you're a pure masochist. Piercing - 8/10 Earrings and Earrings selection 0.5/10.

Fantastic experience: Shoutout to Fern and the entire front desk staff. Everyone was so kind and welcoming to me on Christmas eve of all days! I was super nervous getting a nostril piercing but Colin made me feel comfortable and did a great job, super quick, very little pain. Also, Colin saved me money by putting the piercing in my existing hole versus re-piercing it as to my surprise, the hole was still open! I will be coming back for sure! Highly recommend this place.

Negative experience: The service is sub par. Made an appt and they were running late about 30 mins and did not apologize or acknowledge it. Very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! I’ve gotten all of my body piercings here and just got 2 tattoos by Bella. The facility is clean, the staff is kind and helpful. Bella was amazing, her art is bold, clean and she worked so fast! Will be steadily coming in for sure!

Fantastic experience: LJ and all other staff I've interacted, were helpful and informative. They had transparency built into their sanitation procedure, and I felt like I could relax and trust their expertise. I got a septum piercing with a titanium spacer. The placement was well executed and is very cute ☺️. With the piercing, the jewelry and a tip, my total was around $86. Very reasonable and well worth the quality of the service. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: Scummy shop. Didn’t put in the piercing right and then when it fell out they said they have to charge me basically full price for it again.

Fantastic experience: Im born and raised in Hawaii, had piercings and tattoos since I was 16. I’ve been to many shops and had experiences with many different artists throughout my life time, Laughing Buddha was easily one of the smoothest and warmest experiences. Check-in person was very friendly, exceptional customer service. Colin O did my lip piercing. Very knowledgeable. Any time you have a new artist doing a piece for you, nerves and anxiety is up but I could trust him right from the introduction. I highly recommend.

Positive experience: Appointment only. Door is locked and you must check in online to be let in which is nice safety but didn’t feel great waiting alone outside in the dark. Very clean lobby, waiting area, and studio. Almost creepy nightmare fuel with the concrete walls, no windows, minimal furniture and bright lights. My piercer was LJ. Very nice and personable. Calm and quick with the piercing and switching out jewelry. 4 stars because of the pricing. Way overpriced. I have over 15 piercings and tattoos sleeves. It was $200 for one piercing, 3 pieces of the cheapest jewelry available, and for him to change two piercings. They also make it confusing because they charge separately for the two pieces per one piercing for the flat backs.

Fantastic experience: One word- KHWEZI! One of the kindest human beings I’ve had the privilege to cross paths with. From the first moment of my initial intake three years ago until the moment they finished my second tattoo I have felt a kinship. Beyond talented. Expertly sympathetic. Kind and understanding. You want this person to bring you through the experience of bod mod. Hoping and praying for future opportunities of collaboration.

Fantastic experience: I came here from out of town to get a glass retainer put in my daith piercing, so that I could get an MRI. I was a little bit nervous because I didn't know how much it would hurt. But to my surprise it took less than 30 seconds and didn't hurt at all. The shop is very clean and they take the time to sterilize everything. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. I'll go back for sure.

Negative experience: I have never wrote a poor review before, because I feel its more important to discuss my concerns with the people that are working with me but unfortunately this place just disappointed me and left me with pain after my piercing. :( I decided to make a far drive to this place after research and the good reviews this place gets. Don’t get me wrong everybody here is amazingly nice and kind! The piercer did flawless with my piercing. My only concern is the first time they gave me my jewelry the post was wayyyy too short to compensate for any swelling at all, it was already digging into the back of my lip but I decided to trust the process and trust the piercer as they are very professional and nice. Upon going home the next morning the jewelry was already started to embed. I understand piercings especially in the mouth region can be unpredictable so I decided to give them a call and express my concern, they offered me to come back and get a “longer” post without charge, and the piercer agreed the posts before were too short before. After changing the post it still felt way too short but given that it WAS a tiny bit longer I was just happy that my concerns were listened to. Upon getting home and checking it out it was indeed still too short, now its the next day and its embedding more than before and is painful. I just wish that with the experience this place has, they’d understand with this piercing you need a much longer bar to prevent this issue. I appreciate this place for the piercing but I seriously now need to figure out where I plan to take this issue as I’m in pain dealing with it and I don’t want to make the far drive just to still not get an adequate enough post.

Fantastic experience: I came in full of anxiety due to getting a pretty risky set of piercings. Sat in their beautiful waiting room while my anxiety built. As soon as Colin o came and grabbed me he went over everything in detail. He also told me he had only had a issue with one of these piercings the entire 16 years he's been doing this which instantly built trust because he was honest. Let's face it no one's perfect. But the way he was so thorough, honest, quick, and for the most part pain free made me feel extremely comfortable. This place has become my new piercing spot and I will definitely be recommending my family and friends to him. Thanks again Colin O!

Negative experience: I have been to this shop twice. The first was to get 2 piercings by Hannah, guest piercer, and she was awesome and did a great job. I went back for another piercing and to downsize with one of the resident piercers. The additonal piercing I got was a good experience and painless. However, the downsizing of my rook was awful. It was so painful and took many many tries for the piercer to change it. I am now left with a bloody swollen mess. I am also worried it will not heal correctly, or it will take much more time to heal. I get mistakes can be made but I am still really disappointed and in pain. I won't be back. I did include photos because I do monitor how my new piercings are doing. The before was the day before I went in and the after I took was the evening after the change.

Negative experience: will not be coming back- my septum was pierced way too low, was crooked, and i experienced extreme pain (blood all over my face, 11/10 pain, etc). when addressing this, my piercer just said that everyone has different pain tolerance and it’s nothing to be ashamed of that i was in so much pain (taking no responsibility). i got a second opinion at a different place where they recommended immediate removal because it was likely to not heal and i eventually got it repierced with 2/10 pain. two stars because they gave me a refund as soon as i asked and the people there are nice enough but my experience was traumatic :/

Fantastic experience: Amazing, wonderful, kind, passionate, professional and patient staff! Cozy and clean atmosphere. Everyone is so welcoming here and anytime I've come they've always been amazing. Originally got my Double Lobe (second lobe) and Helix pierced here by Colin and healing process/adjustments/inserts by LJ! (Lil John). For those wondering yes they do have different sized studs and hoops/rings. (Switched to hoops/rings and little over a year later).

Positive experience: I was interested in booking an appointment here but see they charge 30 bucks for a consultation and charge a drawing fee, what the heck? I have four pieces never have had to pay for a consult or a drawing fee. Ill be looking elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: My artist was bella! Her instagram is @bella.ryan.tattoos, and she was amazing. 250$ an hour, and she is super fast. Her workstation was professional and clean. She made it one of the best experiences being tattooed!

Fantastic experience: I was reading reviews of piercers in my area south of Seattle and saw horror stories of piercings that got infected and/or wouldn't heal. Those reviewers went to Laughing Buddha to fix their piercing which convinced me to cut-out the middle man and go straight to the best place in town. I was not disappointed! Colin O is the best piercer I have ever had work on me! I really appreciated his assurances about the overall process. His explanations of what + where I would feel each next step. The pain of the actual piercing was less than I feared and I only experienced minor discomfort for the remained of that day with absolutely zero pain since then! I believe their dedication to hygene and cleanliness is an important key to their success here!

Fantastic experience: Bella is an incredible trad tattoo artist and is overall just the actual best ever— and I promise I don’t say that lightly! I got a custom tattoo rework from her a few days ago and it was the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had, and I have a lot of tattoos. The sacred heart was not her original work, but she went over it completely and added the roses on either side like I requested. She’s fast, her space is welcoming, and the results speak for themselves— her line work and shading is top tier. What you want is exactly what you’ll get! Fantastic experience: Always a great experience with Colin O. He pierced my anti-tragus last year, which was a great experience. He made sure the placement was ideal for my anatomy, which I was concerned about because I had heard anti-tragus piercings can be finnicky. One year later, I had him take a look because I thought the piercing migrated (it did slightly. My fault, I didn't downsize when he told me to and I wore headphones a lot while it was healing). He evaluated the piercing then replaced the jewelry for me after determining it looked okay. I appreciate his expertise and the prices are very reasonable at Laughing Buddha. The rest of the staff are always friendly as well! If I get any more piercings, I plan on having Colin do them!

Negative experience: I've been to Laughing Buddha many times but was incredibly disappointed this last visit. I had an appointment for 3:45 to change out my eyebrow piercing to a shorter bar, something that would have literally taken 3 minutes. Instead, LJ took 7 people before me, including walk-ins. After waiting for AN HOUR, I went to ask how much longer and was told 10-15 more minutes. What is the point of an appointment then?? I understand the shop gets busy and everyone is doing their best, but no one informed me the wait would be that long when I came in, otherwise I would have left much sooner. I even wasted my time picking out jewelry for my other piercings and then left with nothing because it was taking so long. I was respectful of the piercer's time but was not given the same respect as a customer. Please communicate clearly and transparently with your customers next time because we have lives and other places to be, so it's very frustrating to have scheduled an appointment time when apparently it doesn't matter.

Positive experience: My young daughter got her ears done here by LJ. He was so kind and patient. She kept loosing her nerve but he waited till she made up mind. One star off because they still do covid protocols having to wait outside to check in. Parking is also a pain.

Negative experience: I love piercing's, had mine without issue for 10+ years. I've been into see Lil John four times, mostly positive experiences. I have worked cosmetology for 8 years and understand the nuances involved in service work, so I understand the emotions involved in giving these services as well. While I had booked a more invasive piercing, I had to consider my budget in choosing from their selection of highly priced titanium jewelry. Long story short, I choose to do a different piercing much cheaper jewelry. After 10 months, my new 2nd rook was still having issues, so I got a second opinion. They said that Lil John had mistakenly pierced too deep for the shape of my left ear rook. This was a kind of a shock, as I had nothing but the highest expectations from a reputable location such as this. I understand being 'busy' and 'mistakes happen' but after the third time of not remembering my name, I felt there was no point in returning or sending referrals here. There are many, lovely people out there who perform this trade in places with less street-facing windows, who don't carry the pressures of capitalisms and rent that we all face and can give you an excellent service. Don't get mired in thinking that 'if I pay more for the experience. it WILL be a better one'

Fantastic experience: Amazing work! Bella was such a joy to work with and the tattoos she did turned out so much better than I could've imagined. This was my first tattoo (I got two) and she treated me with so much care. Fantastic first experience. I'll absolutely be recommending her to anyone and everyone. ❤️

Negative experience: On the website they request that you arrive 5 minutes before your appointment starts, and they state that if you are 5 minutes late they will cancel your appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early to pick out my jewelry, but was taken back for the piercing 20 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start. I initially told my piercer that I was worried about my septum being pierced crooked, and he assured me it would be fine. My septum was then pierced noticeably crooked. He re-pierced it and I think it's straight now. I would have preferred to not have to go through this ordeal though. Other than this, everybody in the studio was kind and accommodating. It was just overall not a good experience for me.

Fantastic experience: I seriously can't say enough good things about Bella! Just got my half sleeve done in her killer American traditional style and I'm OBSESSED. The colors are insanely vibrant, the lines are crisp, and honestly, it turned out even better than I imagined. What I love most about working with Bella is how chill and collaborative she is. She really listened to what I wanted, threw in some awesome ideas of her own, and the whole design process felt more like hanging out with a friend than a business transaction. The actual tattoo sessions flew by because she makes everything so comfortable. I used to be nervous about committing to bigger pieces, but now I'm already daydreaming about what we'll create next. I'm pretty much ruined for other artists at this point - Bella's set the bar impossibly high! If you want mind-blowing American traditional work from someone who's both ridiculously talented AND fun to be around, look no further.

Fantastic experience: This is the most extraordinary shop I have ever visited. The architecture is perfect , the entire establishment is remarkable, and the artists are not only highly professional and knowledgeable but also exceptionally talented. My artist, Bella, created all designs of my tattoos, and I absolutely adore her designs. Just the best I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you are considering getting a tattoo, this is the place to go—it is an absolute must.

Fantastic experience: I went to Reeeeg for a double band thigh tattoo, and he did a great job! He was able to shave me at the shop and didn't charge me for the time time spent prepping the area. The tattoo took a bit longer than expected: we were scheduled to start at 5pm for a 2.5-hour session, but my thighs are really large so it took 4.5 hours instead. He let me know that it won't look perfectly straight because of the muscles around the leg, but he did a great job getting it to look solid from most angles. I've been following his aftercare, and it seems to be healing up well with only some light bruising. Overall I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I'd definitely go back to get matching arm bands in the fall.

Fantastic experience: Colin O is such a pro! I went to see him for my third lobes which went so well that I went back three weeks later for my septum piercing. One week in and it’s been so incredibly easy! Laughing Buddha has fabulous jewelry choices as well and their front desk staff are super helpful! Both my piercings were essentially painless and you can tell Colin knows exactly what he’s doing. I was nervous and he made my experience so easy! I will go back for all piercings and recommend him to anyone. They’re also very focused on safety and cleanliness.

He did a great job taking care of making it look exactly like I wanted. The communication beforehand was solid. Great first tattoo experience. Fantastic experience: Tattoo: I’ve worked with Sara for two (and my favorite) pieces, and let me tell you this girl has a gift. She is Thor and the needle is her mjolnir. She is a super clear communicator throughout the entire process, from consult to healing. She’s thoughtful to respect what you are choosing to have done/ what references and input you give her, but I will say her artistic mind is so so valuable and both of the pieces I’ve gotten from her turned out way more beautiful than I could have imagined by myself with her input. She has such brilliant visions and it’s always such a great experience to work with her. She’s also incredibly talented not only with her mind, but with the way she executes your ideas. Her attention to detail is amazing, and shes able to create such beautiful textures and movement with her shading and placement ideas. She’s also super gentle, I literally almost fell asleep while getting a tattoo from her. She takes such care and pride in the work that she does, I can’t think of a single design that I wouldn’t trust her with. I would definitely recommend working with her if you have the opportunity to, I will 100% be returning when it’s time for my next tattoo!

Fantastic experience: I visited the studio for an appointment to get pierced by Lynn but due to a medical emergency, wasn't able to. Instead, I visited the studio with my friends/family and got the chance to view the wonderful jewelry the studio stocks, got to support local artists via purchasing their art and stickers, and got the chance to chat with the front of house. Can I just say Alex is such a wonderful front of house and absolutely kills it at getting to know clients?! They were knowledgable about price points and had great patience in helping out my friends/family. They made the atmosphere incredibly warm and I was thankful I got a chance to connect with a member of the Laughing Buddha team. I look forward to visiting the studio again in the future and hope Alex will there to welcome our group again!

Fantastic experience: Just got back after what was just one of the beautiful creations by artist, Reeeg! To the sky and beyond my guy! The details on the tattoo and everything specified by me was paid careful attention to. Can’t recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: The piercer was informative and the piercing was very quick. It was relatively painless but it was just my lobes. I think downsizing the posts was included, but I live so far away I couldn’t make it back and I paid to have it done closer by.

I shared my design inspiration, and during our design review, Sara presented a design that exceeded my expectations. She is an excellent listener and highly collaborative, ensuring the design was exactly what I wanted. Sara's attention to detail in her work is unmatched, and the final result is everything I hoped for and more. Beyond her amazing artistry, Sara created such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, which made the whole experience even better. I’m thrilled with the result and can’t wait to continue working with her to turn it into a full sleeve.

Fantastic experience: My two most recent experiences at Laughing Buddha have been beyond excellent thanks to the talent and artistry of Bella Ryan (ig: @bella.ryan.tattoos). I am so happy to be walking around with 2 pieces of incredibly beautiful flash. Bella’s designs are matched by undeniable talent; it is unreal how well and fast they tattoo. Their lines are so clean I’ve been complimented by strangers. If that wasn’t enough Bella is great to hang out with and super respectful throughout the process.

Fantastic experience: Just got tattoos with 4 friends for my partner’s bday with Bella Ryan and she is so talented, fast, and fun to hangout with. Her flash and original art are so damn cute and sexy! Such clean lines too. I was being a bit of a diva too honestly but she was so patient with me, will definitely be getting more tattoos from her in the future.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at Laughing Buddha getting a thin line black/gray bird tattoo from Sara Tolbert (ig @cupidnegra). Everyone at Laughing Buddha was so friendly and welcoming! Sara did a zoom consultation with me that covered all my questions and goals for the tattoo. I was nervous to not see the artwork until the day of, since I wasn’t sure I described what I wanted in enough detail, but I shouldn’t have been Sara basically read my mind and presented an absolutely amazing piece of art I couldn’t be more happy with. She worked to make little tweaks to make it fit my anatomy better, and was warm, kind, patient, and knowledgeable through the whole session. Cannot recommend enough, will be recommending her and Laughing Buddha to my friends and family. Be warned they also have very cute jewelry and it is hard not to impulse buy as you check in for your tattoo

Fantastic experience: I got tattooed by Sara T and it was my favorite tattoo and tattoo experience I've ever had. She did a pet portrait for me and did amazing. She really made sure she designed the portrait how I wanted it. It turned out so much better than I expected. If you're looking for fine line and detailed work, go see Sara!!! I will definitely be getting my next tattoo from her.

Fantastic experience: I had the best piercing experience with Lynn! They are extremely knowledgeable about the piercings they do, and make you feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. the vibes from the shop are immaculate, everyone is super friendly & overall I had an incredible experience.

Fantastic experience: edit, 1.5~ years later: I love this shop and everyone in it. I have been coming to LB pretty regularly over the last year and a half since I first stopped by in May 2023 and I am just SO thrilled with the service I've received. Everyone is so kind and friendly. Colin has been my piercer and has done numerous piercings, inserts, and downsizes for me. He's incredibly professional and explains each step of the process as we go through. Madi, Alex, and Jordan are usually the ones to help while I'm up front and I can't say enough good things about them. My experience getting pierced at Laughing Buddha was nothing short of amazing. The shop is clean, well organized, and has a fantastic selection of jewellery. Madi was so kind and helpful when it came to picking out jewellery and was also prompt when I had questions via email. She even put aside a piece of jewellery I was eyeing after I had left just in case I came back for it later (which I very much did!). My friend and I were pierced by Tobias and they are truly a gem of a human being. They spent so much time explaining everything to us and were incredibly patient when I was indecisive about placement for my nostril piercing. Their attention to detail and meticulousness really shows in their work. My friend and I had such a great time we made an appointment a few hours later to get matching conch piercings the same day. I had a fantastic time at Laughing Buddha from the moment I walked into the shop and I can't wait to be back.

Fantastic experience: Bella is amazing !! Recently got my tattoo done and she was superb from consultation to final design. The studio itself is calm, peaceful and very clean. You do need an appointment before you visit but they have plenty of options for schedule. They also have great Jewelry which id recommend checking. Fantastic experience: It took me five years of (extremely passive) looking to find someone I trusted to add a portrait of my third dog to a space with two pet portraits already done. I knew it wouldn’t match precisely, but thin lines and strong detail were key. Sara provided a welcoming atmosphere, great music, active conversation, and one of the best tattoos I have ever gotten.

Fantastic experience: I have seen LJ for three different piercings in the past few years and they were all fantastic! He was professional and kind. The piercings themselves were quick and much less painful than I had anticipated or experienced with other piercers. I couldn't recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Five stars for Reeeeg! I had an existing tattoo (blueberries) on my right leg that I wanted to match the style with a new tattoo (strawberries) on my left leg. I sent him an example image of what I was looking for along with a photo of my existing tattoo. He did an excellent job at drafting a piece that was consistent with the style of my existing tattoo! Overall very happy with the experience, and the resulting piece on my leg! Will be coming back to him for more in the future!

Fantastic experience: I flew out to Seattle almost a year ago to get pierced by Lynn. I had been pierced by them a couple of times before when they were still in Tennessee. I have tried to seek out other piercers in my area, but no one is like Lynn. Not only is Lynn amazing at piercing and genuinely so talented, they also have the best piercing manners and customer service. I would 1000% fly out to see Lynn again. To me it is completely worth it and I would recommend anyone to make the same investment.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Lynn Loheide and had a phenomenal experience! The front of house staff helped me pick out my jewelry, they then walked me through the sanitization process to ensure that I was adequately informed. The process was super easy, and Lynn made the experience as painless as possible. It was overall 100% worth the price and it has been one of my best healing piercings. Cannot recommend enough!!

Negative experience: I went in store to purchase an eyebrow piece, where they measured different sizes against my piercing before ringing me up for one ($40). While the worker was looking at different options, I told him I would prefer a longer bar to be safe, especially since the larger size for swelling hadn’t looked odd. When I got home, the bar was too short, but they made me purchase a new piece on returning because “there's always a chance that the jewelry would not be an exact fit without having a piercer install it for you”. I understand that they would not be able to resell the wrong piece, but they never disclosed this, never suggested I make an appointment, and didn’t even present me with options when checking out (including thread types, they literally just gave me one). The positive is that they were nice, and did give me a discount on the second round. The whole situation was just frustrating and off putting- I was excited to check them out due to reputation, but wouldn’t get a piercing here now. Update: Edited to one star because the second piece of jewelry broke within 12 hours of wear

Fantastic experience: Walking in I was greeted by front desk staff who were all so lovey and kind. LJ walked me through the process of the piercing and put my anxious mind at ease. Couldn't recommend a better place on Capitol Hill to get a piercing. 11/10

Fantastic experience: I've been to Laughing Buddha twice now to see Colin. First for ear stretching and jewelry insert, another for septum piercing and nostril/nose jewelry insert. I love the atmosphere of this place. It is a clean, upscale establishment. The customer service has been outstanding from both the front counter (when picking out jewelry) and Colin. I really recommend this place and Colin specifically. I drive an hour to go here because I really appreciate the environment and knowledgable staff.

Fantastic experience: I got my septum pierced by Colin and he did a phenomenal job. He explained things thoroughly from beginning to end. While my septum has been healing nicely, the ring was too small for my nose. A quick appointment free of charge to get me the right size was all it took to get me looking and feeling my best. I would recommend Colin to anyone looking to get their first "real" piercing.

Fantastic experience: I got an eyebrow piercing from this place and it was one of the most efficient, customer friendly, professional and safe places I've gone to. My piercer, Lil Jon nailed the placement and i had absolutely no bleeding, bruising, irritation or even swelling a couple days after the piercing. He was super chill with questions and recommended I call the business as opposed to looking stuff up on the internet, which made the whole experience feel personal and caring. Wonderful staff, great results, and overall welcoming place. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Went in to see Colin for our first piercings (left ear lobe, and septum). Was just beyond friendly, comforting, and professional with going over the entire process, making sure everything was sanitized, and of course the piercing process itself. Like, just can't recommend Colin enough with the gentle touch had. Endless good vibes to the folk at the front desk for helping me find just the right piercings. <3

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal tattoo parlor. Quiet, clean, and very welcoming. If you want your piece done right and don’t mind spending a bit extra, this is the place to go. My piece is now a bit over four months old and looks fantastic even without touch ups. Can’t recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: I am a bit of a nightmare client — difficult anatomy, strong preferences, and a million upfront questions. Lynn did an excellent job not only in putting me at ease and providing ample information, but also piercing my deviated septum and fitting me with the perfect jewelry for healing, which needed to be a bit hidden for my job. 10/10 cannot recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: (Piercing was done in mid February 2024) I have wanted my nose pierced for literal decades. After reading up on other reviews and practices, I decided to make the appointment. I was beyond terrified, but the front staff made me feel at ease picking jewelry that I would be wearing for potentially a year. As I live in Alaska, coming down and changing my mind wasn't an option. I needed to change out my jewelry after an unrelated incident and the staff was so helpful and helped me to trouble shoot some options. It would have been very easy for them to say "too bad, so sad." During the appointment Colin gently and calmly talked his way through the procedure which was EXACTLY what I needed. And at the end HE thanked ME for trusting him!! I 100% recommend this place! It is very calm and welcoming to those of us who are unsure of what the expectations are or how to go about this. I 120% recommend Colin and I hope to be able to go back and see him again now that I am not afraid. Thank you all!!!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t be more happy with my experience! Lynn pierced me and I was very nervous but they made me feel at ease and feel very comfortable with the whole process. Fantastic experience: Laughing Buddha has always been great to me. I have used them several times over the years for tattoo and piercing services. The shop has a very hip and peaceful vibe about it. I really like it. Every station is impeccably clean, the shop is clean, and they have fantastic jewelry that they have on sale there as well. I will warn you, their prices for jewelry and services are not cheap, but you are paying for the quality! Also, as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I felt very welcomed here. I really appreciated that. The staff is always super nice and friendly. They are always willing to answer questions for me, and alleviate my concerns. I have had both my nose pierced, ears pierced, and an arm tattoo done here. They all turned out great. The tattoo artist that I had no longer works in Seattle, sadly, but my piercers for my nose and ears were Colin and Lil' John. They were both great. They knew I was anxious and they were great about alleviating concerns. Overall, I definitely recommend Laughing Buddha for your tattoo and piercing needs. I have had great experiences there, and I plan on going back for more services in the future.

Fantastic experience: I got around 6+ ear piercings done here and it is by far one of my best experiences. I got pierced by Colin and my piercings are healing super quickly and well. Colin was also super patient with me while choosing where I wanted exactly my piercings done and he was great at explaining all the aftercare. The studio also has a great jewelry selection and the staff is super friendly and helpful when choosing the pieces. I will highly recommend this studio.

Fantastic experience: Received a tattoo from Sara T in February 2024. Cannot say enough good things about Laughing Buddha or Sara. This is my 2nd tattoo at Laughing Buddha and it is a relaxed experience. The staff is incredible, check in / check out are easy, they still accept credit cards, and the individual rooms are truly relaxing. Working with Sara was so easy - from the video conference to the day of. Design was exactly what I had envisioned and I am in love with the end result. Highly recommend and I will be back!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this shop. Hands down my favorite one I’ve been to by far. Everything from the location, to the interior, up to date tech, music, jewelry, and the very welcoming staff’s professionalism exceeded my expectations. I got my helix pierced here and I appreciated how the piercer carefully and thoughtfully planned out my piercings, walked me through the process before and during the procedure, and made sure to check in with me to see how I was feeling. Fantastic experience: Very sterile environment! Be warned, unless you visit their website you wouldn’t know, they are all appointment only. You can’t even get in the door without an appointment. Do not try to walk right in. You won’t get far. Their jewelry is really pretty and reasonably priced. Their piercers and staff are all super friendly. Lynn was fantastic and so nice. 10/10 recommend

Fantastic experience: I recently got my second tattoo from the tattoo artist Sara Tolbert and had an amazing experience. The process of working with Sara to make a tattoo i love was easy and creative. While in the process of developing the tattoo I had a drawing meeting with Sara where she gave amazing input and ideas based of what i expressed and liked. She was able to make my jumbled ideas and pinterest references into a unique piece that i love. While in the actual appointment with her she always made sure i was comfortable by providing water, breaks, and general check ups on how i was feeling. Sara is a very relatable person who i truly enjoyed talking to. From TV shows, real life issues, and even down to roommate drama we were really able to connect in a way that felt natural and comforting. Along with her great personality her line work snd shading are amazing ! She was happy to print out multiple stencils to find one that fit my body and wants perfectly. In my specific piece with the blackberries she focused on finding the light source which made the blackberries look more natural and beautiful. I'm in love with my tattoo from her and felt genuinely safe and comfortable throughout the entire process :)
