This was a micro color tattoo, and you can tell she truly specializes in fine detail and precision. She paid so much attention to every tiny line and color placement, nothing felt rushed, and the result is flawless. The pricing was phenomenal for the quality of work, and the whole experience was professional and comfortable. If you’re looking for micro tattoos, color work, or just an artist who genuinely cares about perfection — ask for Summer. I would 100% recommend and will definitely be back!

His attention to detail, professionalism, and skill really show in his work. The process was smooth and comfortable, and the pain was minimal for the most part. I would definitely book with Owen again for future tattoos. Highly recommend. I spent over $4,000 I believe keep that in mind.

Fantastic experience: Rick tattooed my mom and I, it was a great experience! He’s super friendly and made the process smooth. We got fineline art done, and his line work is beautiful!

Negative experience: I was pretty disappointed. I spent days doing extensive research to find what I thought the best tattoo shop in Houston was. 1st. I was quoted $185 per hour on my tattoo, great, I am more than happy to pay for quality. 2nd. When I arrived at 10:50 AM (and was told to arrive 10 min early for artist to finalize stencil) I sat and didn’t see my artist until 11:08. We then didn’t commence the tattoo until 11:14. I was done and out of the shop BEFORE 12 and was told it was $225 for my tattoo. (Price for 1 hour 15 min for tattoo that was done in less than 40 minutes) 3rd. Assassin sent me a text to leave a review, and I did, but never heard anything back from them offering to make it right, etc. 4th. The tattoo itself. It an extremely simple tattoo, Roman numerals with a flag. Half of the lines are crooked, thickness is wrong, lines don’t connect, just extremely obvious that he was rushing as fast as he could. 3 massive blowouts on the flag have blue ink leaking outside of the borders of the tattoo. I expected a lot more from somewhere that has been in business this long and has been rated one of, if not THE, top tattoo shop in Houston. I’m never the person to leave reviews like this, but when I’m getting something put on me forever that has sentimental value, I expect the craftsmanship to be reflected.

Fantastic experience: Had a lower left arm sleeve cover-up done by Rick at Assassins Tattoo and it was a great experience. The cover-up work is solid, no issues throughout, and I’ll be back to finish the colour. Highly recommend !

Negative experience: terrible piercing experience. the woman that pierced my nose clearly has never pierced a nose before, which they failed to tell me. there were 2 other men practically yelling at her telling her what to do. the needle was in my nose for 10 minutes. they dropped the jewelry i picked out then proceeded to put an earring in my nose, which was way too big. the piercing was also crooked and gushing blood. she was also shaking the entire time, and her clamp got stuck to the jewelery and was yanking my nose. don’t go here for piercings.

Fantastic experience: Clean shop, great experience, and a fantastic efficient artist. I messaged the team through the website with a description and some reference photos, when I came in a week or so later my artist Alice had a beautiful full design. I mentioned some corrections for her to make and they were completed within minutes and we began right away. Everyone in the shop is very considerate, there’s a small language barrier but it’s kind of nice to not make small talk when I’m getting color packed over nerves lol. My tattoo was about 6 in x 5 1/2 inches and took around 4 1/2 hours. My deposit went into the cost of my tattoo which is super nice. She started and stopped timers only when she was tattooing to ensure I had a fair price and always made sure to show me which is very thoughtful. I would highly recommend this place. The artists here are incredible and so fair.

Negative experience: If you confirm with a tattoo artist their time and availability, confirm it again, just to take the time off and commute to find they’re not available, it’s not a fun experience.

Negative experience: The original tattoo picture list quote a bit of the color and definition. I went back a few months later to get it touched up in areas that were already faded and the tattoo artist did “redo”. It is better but still has faint color issues and the open circle on the peace sign was not closed as I asked to do both the first tome and second time. Oh well. I’ll try a different tattoo location for future needs.

Fantastic experience: The venue is pretty cool. My artist, Alice, is top notch (and in high demand). The parlor is very communicative with schedules, questions, advice. Im having a sleeve done a d have been in about 5 sessions lasting 6 hours each and have been impressed each time. Its cool having other artists wonder over to look at the work being done and heading their praise. I know they are not praising me but Alice but that makes me think the piece does look good to others and not just myself.

I have them all over my body and got them from shops all over Houston. But I always find myself coming back to Assassin Tattoo. This particular tattoo my wife got from Alice and we are and was BLOWN AWAY completely by the work. Appreciate Alice for the amazing work, if you have her, you are in good hands. She takes her time and pulls solid straight lines. I’ve personally had a tattoo from this shop from the owner Peng and he is tattoo GOAT.. I’m coming back for another tattoo this Friday. This place IS AWESOME! Highly, Highly recommend. Edit: Just came back on Friday and it was as amazing as Monday and Alice yet again NAILS it. Absolutely love it here, its incredible.

Negative experience: Please anyone going here I highly recommend going somewhere else. By far the worst experience. The artist I went with was Alice because I thought she would do a pretty fine line tattoo however she rushed through the whole tattoo. The lines are not straight they are very patchy, missing ink in some areas and not symmetrical. The lines are bold and a lot of the lines are blown out and scarred. I have a whole sleeve and none are as simple as this one should have been and I have never had a blown out line like the way she blow out the lines. She rushed the whole process and did a horrible job. And the room I was in was dirty and hot, she was literally sweating on my leg as she was tattooing me. Very unhygienic. I cried my whole way home because of how bad this tattoo is and now I have to live with this on me forever. She needs to seriously slow down and really consider that we have to live with her mistakes on us forever.

Fantastic experience: Seriously the best shop experience! We were here on vacation and wanting to get matching tattoos but had a kid with us. They made us feel so Welcome and even gave my daughter a temporary tattoo to match ours and our tattoos were perfect. Definitely recommend this shop! I wish I loved closer!

Negative experience: I left a 1 star review recently and the owner accused me of lying or making up the review because somebody “paid me to write a false review.” That’s definitely not the case, I went back and responded to his comment and added details and photos. I have yet to receive an apology for the poor treatment I was given. When businesses reply to their negative reviews and make claims that they are “false” or “lying” it gives that business a very bad look. I’ve seen a handful of other business owners do it and it NEVER looks good. It only makes that business look like they are incapable of accepting that they made a mistake. I already didn’t like the way they treat people but now I REALLY don’t like this place.

Peng was great, worked with me on the design to make sure my ideas were reflected in the drawing. 18 colors went into a 6 inch tattoo to achieve the details and gradation we were going for. 3 hours of detail work and shading and I'm thrilled with the piece - excited to come back when it's healed for more detail!

Jenny found us the right artists and got us set up for fabulous tattoos. The artists were great - Hector, Kai, & Cammy. Hector was able to calm my stressed out sister, Kai did an absolutely stunning cover-up, and Cammy did a great linework drawing I wanted. We're all very happy with our tattoos! Thank you! Will definitely be going back! Even when I passed out for a sec (totally embarrassing!) - they all made sure I was taken care of! Great team of caring artists! Second visit was just as great! Fantastic experience: I’ve got a lot of tattoos - the one I got from assassins has to be hands down the best I’ve got. The attention to detail Rick put into my design is amazing. He was nice and professional, he gave his input and was flexible with customizing the piece as we moved through it. The shop is clean. The only thing I would give a heads up for is to be prepared for a communication barrier and maybe write down the price so you’re not shocked and can expect it at the end. Though that’s not to turn you off of going, It is 100% worth the rate ! I’m going to be coming back.

Negative experience: Before I had gotten the tattoo done, the owner had told me that Sky could get it done in one session. I had mentioned that I would like multiple sessions because I was traveling soon. But the owner insisted that Sky can get it done in one. I needed up doing two sessions. I had got my tattoo done by Sky, and it does not match up to the standard of tattoos they promote. It was just a rocky process. During my sessions, I had to clarify how I wanted my tattoo to be multiple times. They’d translate to him my concerns but they weren’t taken seriously and felt like they were ignored. I had brought up concerns for how the stencil looked,got brushed off. When he would start filling in the design, I brought up how one of the flowers were crooked. They would tell me he’d correct it but no corrections were made. I wanted the tattoo to connect through the circles, and I did inform Sky about that as well. Every time I’d bring something up he’d have an attitude as well. The only thing Sky was able to get right was my colors. I’ve seen Sky’s work so I thought he’d be able to do a design like this but the work is inconsistent and crooked. I’ve would’ve been okay with the space in between the design if it was done well. But it wasn’t. I still had to pay full price for this work. In the end Assassin Tattoo just told me that they’re sorry for having Sky do work that he couldn’t do properly. Yes, they gave me a discount and refunded me my money in the end as well. 8/28-29. And then how it healed 3 months later.

Fantastic experience: I first came here to get some piercings done. The service then was amazing! The piercer was great and they were very kind. The second time I came, it was for a tattoo. The service was no different. Everyone was kind and I had an overall great experience! I highly recommend the tattooist Abi, not only is their artwork extremely precise and detailed, their hand is very delicate. As my first time getting a tattoo, I have nothing else to compare it to but I don’t think I would have to since I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Negative experience: Terrible experience with Lexi insta: @tattoo_ooc. First off, I specifically asked if the entirety of the tattoo (consisting of 2 puzzle pieces) would be 3-3.5 in whole OR if it would be 3-3.5 in per puzzle pieces. She said it would be for the whole tattoo, which did not end up being the case when I was at the parole. We had this entire conversation prior to me be putting down my deposit, which I would not have done if she was truthful with how big the tattoo request would have been. They already had my $120 non-refundable deposit by the time I was at the parole and saw the actual size of the tattoo. As per their policy, they would show you the artwork whenever you show up on the day of your appointment and would do any alteration you request when seeing it that day. When I request to the lettering to be different, Lexi responded with “well, I guess you just want me to do more work.” She seemed very bothered and impatient with my questions, even though I am paying her for this piece and wanted it to fit my liking since it is something permanent on the body. After my request, I waited close to 1.5 - 2 hours in the waiting room for her to make alterations to the letters. I was only brought in to the room once I told the girl out front that I would like to grab lunch if she was going to take any longer on making the changes I requested. She told me to shave my own arm hair AFTER stenciling the tattoo on. This caused the stencil to smear. The tattoo session went longer than previously discuss prior to the deposit and booking, and they charge by the hour. All this for around a $680 tattoo that wasn’t anywhere near the $350 - $500 MAX estimate we discussed prior. I will never be going back here. With the inadequate work done, I now have to spend more money somewhere else to get this tattoo covered up. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. There are so many other tattoo parlors in Houston. I made a mistake by trusting Lexi and Assassin Tattoo, but you don’t have to.

Fantastic experience: Assassin Tattoo is the epitome of artistic professionalism. I've started a series with Lexi and have been impressed not only with her stunning work, but the inclusion of her peers and mentor (Peng) to make sure it looked purrfect (couldn't resist). Something I've yet to experience anywhere else. It made me feel super confident not only in her, but in the shop and their dedication to the craft. Assassin is THE tattoo shop in Houston! Can't wait to continue my series (10 paw prints)

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo at Assassin Tattoo, and it was a great experience! I told them what kind of tattoo I wanted in terms of design, and they paired me with Navei, who was very knowledgeable and had some lovely work in her portfolio. She listened to what I wanted and made some really good recommendations based on her expertise that I wouldn’t have considered. She also worked with me on the design for my tattoo. I’m super happy with it and I get lots of compliments. I definitely recommend Assassin Tattoos to others now.
