The amount of detail, creativity and skill he puts into his work is unbelievable. He turned my ideas into something even better than I could’ve imagined and you can tell straight away that tattooing is a real passion for him. The atmosphere in the studio is just as amazing as the artwork itself — relaxed, welcoming and professional at the same time. Everyone makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. Couldn’t recommend Leigh and the studio enough. If you want incredible artwork done by someone genuinely talented, this is definitely the place to go! ✨

Fantastic experience: My experience of the studio was a 10/10 every time. All my tattoos were designed by the artist Sammi Thompson and the work was carried out by herself too and the results were always amazing. I always felt very comfortable whilst getting my tattoos as I was able to have a good laugh with all of the artists or even watch tv with headphones on. The artists were very caring making sure I was okay to continue or if I needed a break for a bite to eat or something to drink. They would also always tell me to message them when I got home and they would tell me to eat something every time without fail at the end of each session, as I have a long drive to get home. I knew that I would happy with the results before we even started after looking at previous work that had been done on Sammi’s and the studios instagram profiles and due to the fact that the stencil was placed to perfection every time even if it took a bit of time to get it spot on. Couldn’t be happier with my tattoos and I cannot wait to go back to get some more work done. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is wanting some tattoos, as it is such a professional and friendly studio which is always worth the hour and a half drive for me to get to.

Fantastic experience: Had my first ever tattoo done by Sammi this year who made me feel comfortable throughout and was reassuring from the get go with design ideas and answering the occasional daft question with it being my first. Theres never a dull moment in the shop with the other artists, especially with the top banter. They make you feel welcome and show a genuine interest in work being complete, which put me even more at ease knowing these people take real pride in what they're doing.

Fantastic experience: Good service again as always, everyone chatting to each other having a bit of crack which is good. All the artist are professional and very accommodating. Very communicative through the page or if messaging direct. All take the time to get the design right and go through it with you to make sure the size and positioning is right and you’re happy with things. Brews, water, sweets etc to help yourself which is a bonus. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Kerryn for many years now and in that time she has completed a full sleeve and back piece (still a work in progress and pictured below) for me and I could not be happier with the results. The studio has a perfect location in central Lancaster located close to parking and other local amenities. The studio itself is beautiful inside clean, warm and welcoming and I have always felt super looked after the moment I’ve walked in the door. Kerryn has always endeavoured to have as close a customer communication as possible and has always helped in a collaborative way to help me find the perfect design for my next tattoo, using my ideas and her own resources to end up with a perfect result. I have since done 3 full days at the studio being tattooed and have always felt remarkably comfortable and in great hands. It is also worth noting that the cleanliness of the studio is excellently maintained with individualised tattoo stations, the correct health and safety precautions and of course proper legal documentation/waver being presented at the start of each tattoo disclosing age, health issues etc which is both thorough and easy to understand. Tattoo after-care is also fantastic with clear instructions on how to look after your tattoo given and also a strong communication link with your artist established should you encounter any problems, questions or queries. I will also confidently say this place is LGBT+ friendly and have since recommended other LGBT+ friends visit the studio should they want some new ink! If you are looking for a confident and competent tattoo artist (that does especially great blackwork and ornamental pieces) please head to Kerryn and Grimoire Tattoo and you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: This was my first tattoo. Leigh communicated clearly beforehand and used my ideas to create a unique piece that more than met my idea. He was patient and clear upon arrival snd when discussing tweaks to his design and overall size and placement. Which for a first tattoo was the thing I was most nervous about. The studio was clean and welcoming. Leigh checked in with me throughout the tattooing , gave me plenty of time to ask questions and was clear with follow up and after care. I’m a week on and my tattoo is looking amazing and i couldn't be happier.

Leigh’s hospitality was brilliant, always checking if I was ok and needing breaks, drinks provided and he set up an iPad with headphones with all streaming platforms whilst I was getting the tattoo. Over the moon with the design and quality of the tattoo and the Grimoire shop was probably the nicest/cleanest shop I’ve been to. Will definitely be revisiting.

Fantastic experience: Came here for my first tattoo while working away from home and it was best experience I could’ve hoped for, Leigh was very welcoming, efficient and did amazing job while making me feel comfortable. Studio was spot on clean with tv, music and heated blanket, he offered drinks, free tattoo touch ups and gave me aftercare aswell. I’ll be travelling back here for my next tattoo!

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend highly enough, the entire process from booking to my actual appointment was second to none. The studio is spotless and has a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. Leigh took time to ensure I was relaxed and as comfortable as possible during my appointment with breaks, coffee, soft drinks, sweets, music to listen to and TV/films to watch. Which goes well above and beyond other studio’s I’ve been before. His work speaks for itself and he’s a true artist and extremely talented. Fantastic experience: I spent a few weeks doing some research on local artists before finding and reaching out to Leigh at Grimoire Tattoos, and I am so SO glad I came across his page. Grimoire Tattoos was actually just over an hour away from me, but I knew from seeing Leigh’s work that the journey would be worth it! The first thing I noticed upon arrival was how beautiful the studio is, how welcoming Leigh was, and how comfortable I was made to feel. During the initial consultation Leigh made sure I was happy with the design, edited a couple of things from the image I’d found online and worked with me to find a placement I was happy with. Leigh’s artistic skill is unreal! I could not be happier with my tattoo and I can not recommend him enough. I’ve come away with a tattoo I can not stop looking at, it’s beautiful and even better than I could have imagined. Fantastic experience: Amazing is all I can say. contacted Leigh from Grimoire tattoo after seeing his work on instagram, we discussed what sort of ideas I had and sent a couple photos as examples but said I’m happy for him to work up some magic. I couldn’t be happier with the design when I first saw it. After 7 hours none stop he had finished and wow it was amazing, better than I imagined.
