Fantastic experience: Visited today while having a wander around lancaster. Popped in after my partner and I decided to get an impromptu tattoo each. We were greeted by Alex who was very friendly and told us that he could fit us right in. Soon after we had walked in he had sorted the designs we agreed on and went to work. He was extremely professional yet welcoming and did an excellent job on both of our Tattoos. Happy and with some sound advice on aftercare we were out the door in what seemed like no time but will definitely be back again. Thanks again. Top quality service!!

Negative experience: Went to this place just over a year ago and was not going to leave a poor review, but after i’ve heard many others have also had bad experiences i feel i must warn future customers. I got a rib tattoo done here and firstly it is now completely blown out. I have found out now from other professionals that the artist put way too much pressure on and this is what caused the blowout. Onto the service, i walked in to be hit with the stench of marijuana - not very settling if you’re about to let someone potentially under the influence tattoo something permanent on your body. Furthermore, the girl who tattooed me made me feel that i was almost wasting her time - this meant i felt i couldn’t change the placement and size of the stencil (which i understand is my fault not hers). Then while she was tattooing me she was arguing with another man in the building - not focussed on my tattoo at all and honestly probably why she pressed down too hard because she seemed so angry! To add the cherry on the cake, i told her it was my first tattoo and she gave me no advice at all on aftercare, touch ups, the healing process, or anything of the sort. I went here because they could book me in next day and now wish i went somewhere else. don’t make the same mistake i did.

Negative experience: I have to say that I have not had a tattoo done here but when we checked the place out, thinking of having one the experience was terrible, hygiene is none existent the place stank of BO, the toilet was filthy there was no toilet paper, no soap to wash hands, nothing to dry hands on.... Creepy atmosphere just grose...

Fantastic experience: Went to Paper Street Studio for my first tattoo. Alex was incredibly professional. He made me feel very comfortable, told anecdotes about his cat and gave me great aftercare instructions. My tattoo was placed on the side of my wrist. Caveat that everyone has different pain tolerance and I got a very small tattoo. But for me it was less painful than cartilage piercings, blood donation and waxing. Four days later, following the aftercare instructions it is healing immaculately. And I love it.

Fantastic experience: Had a face tattoo here today which if they get it wrong you are in big trouble so I hand picked this place from talking to alot of experts and I wasn't disappointed and I actually enjoyed my tattoo session here, the owner was there and give me advice and was a humble cool guy then I met Alex who specialises in tattoos you wouldn't even believe could be possible ! Then I chatted to an apprentice called Nathan who was actually better than any tattoo artist I'd ever met which says alot for the standard of this place as he's only an apprentice and finally leona rhoads who did my tattoo she was cool as feck totally professional yet lovely at the same time and most importantly the best tattooist I've had in 43 years so to say I'd recommend them is an understatement

Fantastic experience: Had this Nordic compass 'Vegvisir' and grandparents names added to my arm Yesterday. Leona did my tattoo and can't fault her work. Leonas line work and detail was spot on, you could feel how smooth she was with the tattoo machine. Nothing was to much trouble doing my tattoo. Leona was easy to get on with and welcoming. Fantastic experience: Love my tattoo. Healed well and get alot of compliments. Alex was super easy to communicate to about what I want and was really nice. Had good conversation while I was being tattooed and offered to touch up for free if it healed funny with it being dot work. He made it as less pai ful as he could, letting me have breaks whenever I wanted and was an overall good experience. Will be back and I definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: Loads of great things

Negative experience: the tattooist was lovely. however the line work is very bad. the lines aren't straight and they are bleeding into each other and there are gaps in the tattoo. I have had many other tats from other shops before and never had any issues with healing but this has been awful. there are also bits that have fully faded and lines that are fully blurred.

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo today for my 18th birthday I absolutely love it the man had great banta I felt completely comfortable the entire time I would definitely come back to this place again, you guys did a great job

I sent Al a photo of an angle and he asked if I mind if he had a look for a different one, so glad I did as the angle he chose is a beauty. See having a bit of faith in the artist pays off. I would defiantly go back to for any future work. The premises was really clean, Al was every professional and knows his stuff and their was a good atmosphere which help relax my nerves. Fantastic experience: Could not recommend enough! Had such a positive experience with Emma. She designed my tattoos perfectly after just one chat and even after our appointment was cancelled due to lock-down she was brilliant at staying in touch and making me feel so positive. Managed to re-organise for a really great session today, she is so lovely and friendly and was very helpful with my nerves and made the whole process quick and enjoyable. She has a real artistic eye and I am absolutely thrilled with the results - I'm really not an artist but she managed to create exactly what I had in my mind. I am moving away in a couple of weeks but I know if I get any further tattoos I will travel back to have Emma again as she just made the whole process much more exciting and enjoyable than other artists I have had before. Fantastic experience: I contacted the studio by email with some questions as I'd never had a tattoo before and I had no idea what I was doing :-) They were very helpful / friendly and got back to me really quickly. I also had two old tattos refreshed by Emma at the same time as she worked so fast and confident. Fantastic experience: Had a small tattoo done here by Emma and returned today after 6 weeks for a large piece on my thigh. My first at this studio, a small one on my upper forearm, was decided very last minute and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or accomadating. Emma got it just perfect. I was relaxed and comfortable from the moment I walked through the door. So much so I booked there and then to have my thigh done. Nothing was too much trouble and every single member of staff, not just my artist, was polite and friendly. Really happy with my old and new tattoo and discussing another for myself and one for my partner!

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo here a few months ago. The studio is very clean and all the members of staff were welcoming and friendly. Emma did everything she could to make me comfortable, and I don't think I could of had a better first experience! I loved the work she did, so I booked in for another (much bigger) tattoo, which I had done a few days ago. Again, the whole experience was great, Emma did everything she could to make it as painfree as possible, and the price was very reasonable compared to other places in the area. Both tattoos are healing with no problems, I am really happy and would definitely recommend!
