Fantastic experience: Riona did my friend and I's tattoo today (09/05/26) and we would highly recommend her! my friend was understandably extremely nervous, seeing as it was her first tattoo, and Riona went above and beyond to make sure her, even I (2nd tattoo), were okay throughout. when part of my tattoo became slightly intolerable due to the pain, Riona applied some numbing spray, which I was extremely grateful for. I would recommend and return to Riona time and time again. thank you ❤️

Fantastic experience: Riona has now designed 4 of my 6 tattoos and I wouldn’t use anyone else! She is a ray of sunshine and an insanely talented artist. Her personality and aura makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Amazing at what she does and a good egg of a human. I recommend her to all my fellow tattooed pals!

Fantastic experience: It was lovely meeting Riona. I was a bit nervous at first since it was my first time at Pulse, though we really hit it off straight away and she made me feel completely at ease. She was so accommodating to my needs, genuinely funny, and has such a great personality, which made the whole experience even better. The tattoo itself is amazing — she did my cover-up and I’m honestly so glad I chose her. I couldn’t be happier with the result and would 100% recommend her.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience, the piercer very gentle and the whole experience was minimal pain. They checked anatomy before beginning and the whole entire process was seamless. They do take card which was great.I would strongly recommend ! Prices are not bad either :)

Negative experience: I’ve had a few good piercings from here but I was quite disappointed with how my lip piercings were incredibly wonky. When I went in to ask about it I was told my lips were infact wonky. Wether they are or not, I do feel as though they should still be on the same part of the skin underneath my lip and not one lower than the other. My eyebrow piercing was done without trying any effort of symmetry to my other eyebrow piercing, and the needle was pushed too far in and started bleeding quite profusely, which I wasn’t aware of until I got up and saw blood down my eyebrow lol. The old staff (few years back?) used to be absolutely lovely, there was a guy and his name began with T, I think, two women with green hair, and a ginger guy; all absolutely lovely. But the new staff are so rude and act as if you’re a burden on their JOB. maybe I’ve gone in on their bad days, but there’s no friendliness or hospitality or gratitude. Used to be a great place but it’s changed. Fat fugu is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: I came here with my 10-year-old daughter for ear piercing and we had a really great experience. The staff was very friendly and made us feel comfortable throughout the process. A big plus is the earrings with flat backs, they don’t hurt behind the ears like the standard piercing studs usually do. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Came to Pulse for my first tattoo which was the simplest thing I could've asked for; two straight lines to form a cross, barely 2cm in height. Without informing me, they appointed me a trainee tattoo artist who went in too deep with the needle, leaving me with scaring and a blown out tattoo I'm paying to remove on/off over several years later. They were incredibly defensive when bringing this issue to them at the time; it's bad enough having a trainee cut your hair for example, let alone if you've not been informed prior, but at least hair grows back. This is a tattoo which not only permanently damaged my skin, but has been incredibly difficult to remove which the combo of scarring and deep ink. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Negative experience: I went here to get my nipple bars replaced and buy new ones i spent £35 per nipple bar and they have lasted less than 3 months and continuously fell out im incredibly disappointed and out of pocket buy from amazon in the future way less money and better quality

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to pulse for years now for many different piercings and I have never had a problem with any of them. The studio is spotless and clean. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. They have a wide selection of jewellery which for the high quality is reasonably priced. They will offer advise and information about your piercings and aftercare. If you have any questions they are more than happy to help you. I would definitely recommend Pulse and wouldn't use anywhere else.

Negative experience: My daughter done piercing 3 weeks ago and last week her ear became red and swollen we rang GP on Tuesday and he said is infected and prescribed antibiotics. We went to pulse to speak with the girls there to let her know she is on antibiotics and to remove piercings she said carry on with antibiotics as it will heal quicker with antibiotics and we left on Wednesday last week she was was feeling so much pressure on her ear and went again there and the lady so the ear was swollen badly and instead of removing all piercings she put another piercing with a longer bar and she left on Thursday pus starting coming out of her ear and we was keep clinging. Friday early morning she give up as the pain was getting worse and took her to hospital and we been told off why that lady at pulse changed piercings on the infected area as they gone to far and she has to be in hospital for four days they have to drain and put litter drees for 72 hours and obesity taking antibiotics through candles. Is being a nightmare for us and still she doesn’t feel well enough. So be careful follow doctor instructions not the girls there as they not trained for any medical issues. I will go there and will as for my money back as they nearly killed my child i will not recommend to anyone to go there

Negative experience: went to pulse for a rook piercing. i put in my day of birth which is 20/01/2008. which makes me 17 years old. i was with a friend and not a legal adult so the staff rang my parents for age conformation. my dad said my date of birth (20/01/2008) and the staff member on the phone said to me that my date of birth makes me 15 years old and not 17 so i was turned away. all pulse staff members, at least have basic maths when it comes to date of births and don’t humiliate customers when your the one in the wrong. I then went to Fat Fugu and they did the piercing for me and DIDNT think i was 15. They did an amazing job and i will go there from now on. I’ve been coming to pulse since i was twelve and never had any issues. bye pulse

Negative experience: I'm disappointed, just avoid. Got my rook done here fairly recently and the piercer never checked my anatomy, never dotted for placement OR properly sized the length of the curved bar. Which was even worse considering I was getting a gauge UP from the standard jewellery size. It is now INCREDIBLY inflamed + seeping liquid, the size bar that was chosen is far too small for my ear. Hoping that I can get the bar sized up by another reputable piercer, and that its not infected or too irritated.

Fantastic experience: I came here a while ago for my septum. The people were very nice and my session was very quick and painless. The prices are high but definitely worth it, I’ll be coming here again.

Positive experience: I've had all of my piercings done at Pulse and never had any issues with them, however I have recently had issues with the jewellery. The last two gems I've purchased from Pulse, to fit labrets I've also bought from them, have fallen off - one I purchased last week included. Whether this is due to poor fitting, as I've had both fitted within the shop, or poor quality, I can't say. Whilst I haven't had issues with the piercings I've had at Pulse, the jewellery I've purchased and had fitted through them is unfortunately a different story.

Positive experience: Really quick and clean

Negative experience: Jewellery is too expensive for how cheaply made it is. Unfortunately not being from the area, this was the first place I found and needed a piercing replaced. £10 for the bar and £10 for the coloured stud. Cheaper to get a whole new piercing! Wouldn’t go back for anything. Lady was ok. A bit miserable the first time I had to go in there (thought it was for the whole piercing but no, only the stud (without the bar). Couldn’t be bothered to answer my questions.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend getting your nose studs from here, paid £15 each for the backing and the ball and it was so cheap the balls didn’t screw on and they were lost within the first week. Expensive and cheap material

Negative experience: I went here to get my hidden helix and it’s been a year and healed well however I’ve gone to change it to a dangly earring and it looks like a flat, I’m so disappointed I’ve waited so long and went through so much for jt to heal and this is what it looks like.

Positive experience: Had all (9) of my piercings done at Pulse. It is the only place I go/will continue to go! The staff are super efficient and friendly, if it's not busy you can be in and out in 10 minutes. They will also provide any advice and are happy to answer any questions. I've never really had any issues with the piercing or healing process, apart from a slight clipping of my cartilage with my upper lobe - but it was no biggy. The only thing now is that they don't give a cleaning solution for certain piercings, which is super annoying! However, there are still other alternatives I now use. Would 100% recommend and do speak up if you're not happy with anything, they're more than willing to accommodate :)

Negative experience: Piercings suck, I got my lip done at flagship and it’s never fallen out. on the other hand my pulse piercing has fallen out several times and the hole has closed now meaning I have to pay again for another piercing, never going back there again, I 100% recommend flagship instead of piercings and tattoos

Fantastic experience: After going somewhere else a couple of years ago and having nothing but issues with nipple piercings, I decided to get them done again and came to Pulse. Sherrie was very thorough, taking time to get room ready, making sure placement was correct and talking me through. I’ve had no pain, the smallest amount of bleeding and no swelling whatsoever in either piercing. Complete opposite to the last establishment I went to in another town. Definitely will be returning for future piercings etc.

Fantastic experience: I did my nose piercing again and I did my three of ear in the right at the same time. They are really nice and I feel comfortable while I am visiting the shop. Not overpriced and clean. Clear instructions after piercing. Love it Super recommend for it.

Fantastic experience: Honestly these guys are amazing, shop is always clean, the staff are lovely and patient especially when you are an ADHD icon like myself and become indecisive just to know your getting that piercing (you stepped in the shop you may aswell). The choices are pretty iconic and they make sure to show you peircing positioning before the actual peircing, The after care info provided is great and they are always happy to help with any converns you may have (needed a big bar cause my swell positioned weird and bla bla) anyways went in they sorted it, and its so pretty, Same week got the peircing buzz and got another (got my nose then my ear done) Jewllery selection is great various colours, shapes, styles and sizes (sometimes ya just want a phat green gem yaknow xo) Anyhoos, clean, quick, efficient and great value! Negative experience: I called literally 5 minutes before walking in to ask if they could change my piercing and if they were still taking people at 4:30pm. The woman I spoke to said yes and when I walked in and was up next she said they weren’t taking people… I called beforehand for a reason but thanks for that

Negative experience: I went to get my belly button pierced here and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, he put the needle in way too deep and then pulled it out and couldn’t do it and proceeded to say it was “our” fault. It left me with the worst bruise and so much pain, I also got no compensation or anything and the guy wasn’t very apologetic at all. It may have just been the employee but I still wouldn’t recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had a helix piercing done at the Northampton studio by Emily and I felt in very safe hands. They talked me through everything thoroughly, made me feel important and when they did the piercing, they were very gentle and considerate (though it only felt like being flicked with a rubber band!). I haven't had a piercing for 5 years but have had 8 piercings at Pulse over the years. With the professionalism and personal touch Emily showed on my visit, I'll be coming back soon.

Fantastic experience: Got my tragus piercing done with Pulse and the pain was 1/10. It was actually worth it tho I’m definitely going back for another piercing.

Fantastic experience: Was served initially by a lovely girl named Connie who was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. she helped me decide on what piercing i wanted and both her and the piercer Toby were reassuring. Toby made sure i understood the process and was happy with the placement before completing the piercing. both gave detailed instructions on aftercare and i felt i was in capable hands. would recommend coming here :)))

Negative experience: Turned up at 9.50 today (Sunday) for it to open at 10, waited till 10.45 and nobody came to open up. Poor young girl who works there was ringing around and nobody had the decency to tell her they wasn’t going to be on time or why it’s not open 10 of us waiting- guy from tattoo rang I gather the manger Toby who answered but he never answered to his own staff- disgusting Esp on a Sunday - it came about what we said I bet the manger been out drinking the night before. Yes he been in London and apparently messaged another manager to open up but that manager didn’t even see the message until this morning - now told the young girl don’t no what’s happening Taking my daughter for her birthday to have her nose pierced and that’s the service, I glad she won’t be having her nose pierced there Would not recommend.

Negative experience: Prices are very good there and so is responding to emails, my first tattoo there was good however I recently got another one and I never told them where I was having it so he had set up assuming I want it on my left arm to which I said no it’s my right and then he had printed of the tattoo and placed it on my arm without asking what size I wanted luckily I quite like the size now and there is a line that come of the angels halo which shouldn’t be there. This man’s lack of care in my tattoo is sad and I don’t want anyone to go through the same. I believe he is American that’s what I thought I overheard when they were talking, but the other workers seem thorough.

I have all my piercings done there (9) and haven’t had a single problem with any of them. The piercers are all friendly and are very professional. Negative experience: !! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE !! Had several piercings by people at this place double checked by reputable APP piercers, every one of them had been done incorrectly! They also take forever to perform the piercing, whether they lack confidence or knowledge, I don't know, but either way, they shouldn't be piercing anyone's ears or bodies! Being slow caused me horrendous pain & trauma, even PTSD! Do yourself a favour & go to COLD STEEL in Camden! Well worth the extra money, travel & effort! For what you get at PULSE, you could get your friend to do blindfolded & end up with a more accurate & fun piercing experience!

Fantastic experience: I discovered this place about a year ago as I work in Northampton. Good for jewellery and also had some piercings done here. Staff are exceptionally friendly. Matt is brilliant, he’s recently done a couple of double piercings, most recently my high nostrils, and the time he takes to make sure they are level is excellent, extremely helpful and a genuinely nice guy too. There’s also another lad in there too, unfortunately I don’t know his name, but again has been really helpful. As I live in Leicester, If I moved work locations I think I would still travel here for my piercings. Or at least while Matt was still there.

Negative experience: I had my nose pierced on Friday 16th and today is 2 days after and after the gem had come off and the metal has came out and had gone up my nose. Luckly I was able to get it out but then realised they had pierced it with a tragus piercing. (I know a tragus piercing as I have my tragus pierced)! Not happy at all. Had to change it will my nose is still sore and swollen!

Negative experience: Over priced for starters. Got nose pierced on Friday and it came loose on Tuesday. I phoned shop to explain and they said its my responsibility, didn't sound like she was too bothered tbh, but they would take a further £25 to re do it lol. Artifacts are much better.

Fantastic experience: Wasn't me getting the tattoo but a friend, it looked great unfortunately my friend handled it well so was less entertaining then I hoped.

Negative experience: I brought my 6 year old daughter in a few weeks ago to have sleeper hoops put in. It really hurt her when they put them in and have been uncomfortable since. Today I took her back in to ask for them to be taken out. They would only remove them for a charge of £5. I explained that we bought the earrings there and paid £5 for them to be put in and as they were hurting her, I didn’t feel it was fair to have to pay again to have them removed. Basically they didn’t care, as they are “experts” and need to be paid for their work, even though in this occasion, the expert didn’t do an expert job! Absolutely disgusted with the attitude and have to admit I swore in my description of how little they care! I would advise not to take a child in to this place, as they obviously don’t care.
