Fantastic experience: I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Lilith. From the second I sat down, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I came in with an idea, and not only did she absolutely understand the vision, she helped improve it in ways I never even would have thought of. She found a better reference, helped redesign and place everything perfectly, and somehow turned my ideas into tattoos that came out even better than I imagined. Her work is INSANELY clean. Every line is crisp, every detail is perfect, and you can tell she takes so much pride in what she does. She’s an incredibly talented artist with a great eye for design and placement, and it honestly shows in every part of her work. On top of all of that, she’s just such a cool person. Smart, kind, funny, welcoming, and genuinely interesting to talk to. The whole experience felt comfortable and collaborative from start to finish. If you’re going to SIN ON SKIN, book with her. Seriously. I already know I’ll be going back.

Fantastic experience: Sin on skin is absolutely AMAZING!! I have had a few tattoos done at other studios and this has been by FAR the best experience i have had! I had a walk-in appoint and was served immediately for a consult. When I came back for my tattoo I was greated by the loveliest receptionist i have met. I was offered a cold water bottle and candies. My artist, Lilith was the best artist I have gotten the chance to have. She made my appointment go so fast. We talked about a bunch of things and the 45 mins we spent together felt like 5 mins. I absolutely loved everything about this studio and will absolutely plan another trip to NS and save a day just for another tattoo from here!! My son got a shark tattoo, and what really stood out was how much they cared about getting it right. They actually took the time to explain that the shadow in the original design was on the wrong side and fixed it—something most places probably wouldn’t even notice. That level of honesty and skill says everything. His tattoo turned out absolutely amazing. I also had a cover-up done that I honestly thought was nearly impossible, and they completely blew me away. You would never know what was there before. The talent and precision are incredible. They go above and beyond for their clients, take their time, and make sure everything is perfect. Fantastic experience: I contacted Sin on Skin to have a previous tattoo fixed, and I had a really great experience. Nicole provided the best customer service booking me in, she made me feel welcomed right away and completely comfortable throughout the whole process. Kyle was my artist, and he did an incredible job. He fixed the shading and cleaned up some of the fine lines, and then added more artwork to blend everything together on my arm. Kyle really took the time to understand what I wanted and knew how to fix it. The studio itself was very clean and professional, which made me feel confident I was in good hands. Overall, I’m extremely happy with how my tattoo turned out and I can’t wait to go back for more of Kyle’s artwork. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for their next tattoo.

Fantastic experience: My wife and i decided to get our wedding song tattooed on us for our anniversary. While it was a bit of a hike from our hotel up the hill, and then up the stairs to the shop ( ngl, we're older) when we got there we were made to feel very welcome. We decided on Sin on Skin for their many awards, and found the staff there to be extremely friendly and accommodating. The shop was very clean, well maintained and our first thought on entering was that we made the right decision to book here. Both my wife's and my own tattoo came out exactly what we wanted, both in size and type and we couldnt be happier with our choice. Easily giving this group 5 stars for atmosphere, professionalism, and amazing work by their talented staff. Thank you Sin on Skin for a great experience.

Fantastic experience: As my previous artist has moved onto another career I booked with Lilith and she did a fantastic job! I asked for two small fine lines pieces on my left ankle and it turned out great and healed within one week nothing required of me in terms of after care just washing, the ointment given to me and gentle unscented moisturizer. I love them so much! The staff and reception are very professional and kind! I got two of my previous tattoos with Kirk Martin at sin on skin. Both times it was incredible work, attention to detail, excellent experience, very skillful and high amount professionalism. Both of my tattoos were small as seen below and fine line but absolutely still amazing to this day without needing touch ups. If you’re wondering about booking here don’t hesitate!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Sin on Skin for a few years now and have always had a 5-star experience. Their website is thorough, with loads of health information, discussions about tattoo size and placement, suggestions on what to do and avoid, and detailed aftercare practices. This is was what attracted me to them in the first place! It made me feel like I was choosing a place that prioritizes health and safety for their customers. Their artists are professional and friendly, and the staff are welcoming and quick to respond to emails. Walking through the doors is always a great experience. The artists take the time to create their own designs and collaborate with customers to ensure it will be something they'll love. I admire the artistry behind their work and their meticulous approach to finding the perfect placement when you're in the chair. I will definitely continue being a customer for any future tattoos (cause there will absolutely be more).

Fantastic experience: I have been going strictly to Sin on Skin since 2005 for my tattoos. The standards they have for cleanliness and sterilization are hospital grade. Sin on skin had them in place before they became mandatory in NS. They have always been upfront if a design needs to be changed to persevere the artwork for longevity or if it did not translate well to skin. Most of my work has been done by Kyle and I literally trust him with my skin. I have compliments all the time about my tattoos. In these days where tattoo shops seem to pop up and disappear, Sin on Skin remains for a reason.

Fantastic experience: I just got a tattoo with Kyle at Sin on Skin and holy moly, what a great experience! Booking with Nicole was easy and painless, and she's super friendly and helpful. Nicole answered all my questions so promptly, and was honestly a real pleasure to chat to when I came in for my appt. Kyle was very friendly and nice, too - and his studio (the whole space, really) was VERY clean. Like, eat off any surface in there safely clean. Kyle checked with me about the design, it's size and composition, what he was thinking about and how it would look, and I had the chance and option to change things if I wanted to (I didn't, Kyle is brilliant at this without my input). The process itself was (for me) pretty good and not that painful. I had lots of opportunities for breaks if I needed them, and there were some very fun music videos to keep me entertained (along with Kyle himeself, who is also quite entertaining and fun to talk to). Afterwards, Nicole send me a VERY comprehensive aftercare package via email so that I can take care of my new and awesome tattoo while it heals. I am SO very impressed and I have already booked back in to do the colour in three weeks. I had received a tattoo from someone who did not listen to me, and as my tattoo was in a place that made it so I couldn't see the process, it was a permanent mess. However, Gabriel was able to turn it into true art. It was better than I imagined it could be. Such a talented tattoo artist, and artist in general. Creative, kind, thoughtful, professional, and a GOOD LISTENER! He checked in throughout the tattoo. Really, all the staff here are wonderful. They collaborate and obviously work as a team. Fantastic experience: From start to finish I had an amazing experience. From the ease of the online booking system, the quick reply from the artist, and the coordination of the fantastic Nicole. Nicole was diligent about following up with me at all stages and addressing my many questions. I choose Pia as the artist I wanted to work with after checking out reviews and samples online of the artists’ work. Don’t get me wrong, they all do FANTASTIC work. Pia had a couple tattoos with writing and elements that I was looking for. The sharp lines in her writing were impressive. My tattoo consisted mostly of writing (name, date), and 2 images (dog prints). I sent Pia the design I created in a word document using an Edwardian font. Of course nothing was lined up. Pia took that design, lined up all the elements and suggested a change to one of the letters. At first, I wasn’t sure about the change. When I got to the studio and saw the actual stencil with the change, I loved it! Pia is very meticulous and has an amazing eye for detail. Some of the lettering was tight with small loops. I was expecting a few spots not to show detail. I was so wrong. Pia is a true artist and captured every curve, swerve, and loop! I would 100% recommend Sin on Skin, and 110% recommend Pia, especially for very detailed and fine line work. Keep in mind pictures can never compare the seeing the work directly. Also take into account the red and swelling from being a fresh tattoo.

Fantastic experience: I apologize for this overdue review. My wife and I were in Halifax for our 20th anniversary and while touring around the town we decided to get a tattoo. We dropped in at Sin on Skin without an appointment when we met Kirk. He looked over his schedule and asked us to comeback in a couple of hours which we did. My wife selected a couple of poppies on a stem and I asked for a face-on portrait of our wee Frenchie. Kirk’s artistry was amazing - he is really gifted. My wife almost fell asleep while Kirk was applying his craft and my little Frenchie came out superbly. We are extremely happy with our tattoos. So, if you are considering a tattoo, we highly recommend you look up Kirk.

Fantastic experience: First impression of Sin on Skin: very clean and organized. Great vibes off the get go. Kirk did an amazing job on my tat and I love it! This was my 9th tat (all others done in the US) and working with him was the best experience I’ve had with an artist. Fantastic experience: Went to Sin on Skin Tattoo studio last weekend for some work done. First impression was very cool studio. Waiting area had lots of neat stuff to look at. Nicole working front counter was very friendly with lots of industry experience and provided answers to all of my questions and concerns. Got my piece done by Sara (Witcher Tattoo). Very friendly and did a fantastic job. My only issue was I found it hard to keep still through the process as Sara has radio blasting 70’s, 80’s metal so natural instinct was to bang my head to awesome bands like Quiet Riot , Iron Maiden , Judas Priest. Fantastic experience: The work I asked for was a very delicate process . I was covering scars from a car accident years before with some tricky spots. His work is amazing he's specially qualified which was mandatory working on delicate skin and I healed well no issues and I'm going back for more. I've waited to come back 10yrs later and I can't wait. He's super calming and kind too which helps and the entire staff is incredible. See you soon Marti

Fantastic experience: I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my first tattoo. I went back and forth a bit on what I wanted beforehand, and both Nicole (who does the booking), and Kirk, my tattoo artist, were so patient and helpful. Kirk took the time to give me a consultation before I actually booked. I'm really happy with the final result - just what I was looking for and a sweet reminder of my Dad.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with Ulises at Sin on Skin. I had sent him an idea that I had for a large back piece and he created a design similar to it for me. He did an amazing job with his design, the detailing was on point and I definitely preferred his design more than the original inspiration. I am so happy I put my trust in him, I get sooo many compliments on it. He was able to do it in one go as my skin was handling it well, and even finished it in less time than expected. He made me feel very comfortable, and was super friendly. The tattoo also healed extremely well after following the aftercare recommended. I definitely hope to get another piece done by him in the future and have recommended him to many friends! The quality was totally worth the price. Also the studio itself was cute and clean and the lady at the reception was very kind. 11/10 experience :)

Fantastic experience: I wanted to share my experience with SOS! First, after experiencing the worst nightmare of my life of loosing my son to an overdose last year during Covid I wanted to to add a tattoo to signify the despair able loss that I was/and am feeling. I contacted Nicole via email to briefly explain what, where and why I wanted this tattoo and asked if it could be expedited so I can travel to Ontario to receive his ashes. Within 24 hours she contacted me and we set up a consult with Kirk for the next day! Kirk provided an excellent upgrade to the drawing I provided and was very understanding of what I required. I accepted the drawing on the spot and later received a couple option appointments for the sitting. The session was very cool. Kirk has great experiences in his travels and life experiences and provides a relaxing environment for any client. Cool shop bro! The waiting area has cool nostalgia and clean environment. Individual Artists shops are cool! Having the client leaving happy seemed to be the motto! I can go on about my experience but can only say I have nothing but positivity about the way I was treated and to finish with a bonus!!!! The result was amazing and I am happy!

Negative experience: Just wanted to inquire about services but they are so uninviting they have signs saying they are closed when I hear voices and that literally tell you to do not enter and go away
