I’ve had both original pieces and rework/cover-up tattoos done by her, and every single one has exceeded my expectations. She’s so sweet, easy to talk to, and always makes me feel super comfortable. Negative experience: definitely my worst tattoo experience the art came out fine, but taylor made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. i will not be going back to her. i made a few attempts to talk to taylor during the appointment, trying to keep my mind off of the pain. she was short and snappy with her responses, and she seemed much more interested in talking to her coworker. i tried to include the coworker in the conversation a few times, to which the both of them gave short and snappy responses before continuing to only talk to one another. i understand sometimes our social batteries aren’t full, sometimes we aren’t in the mood to have big lengthy conversations, or even to talk at all, and that’s so valid. that said, i felt like an inconvenience to taylor and her coworker, i felt like i was a bother. while someone is stabbing me repeatedly, inflicting PAIN on me, especially when they’re being PAID to do so, i don’t want to feel like an inconvenience or a bother. i want to feel like a valued customer. i want to feel at least COMFORTABLE while i’m getting tattooed. taylor absolutely failed to provide a comfortable space. no other tattoo artist has made me feel like such an inconvenience to them. had i known the tattoo experience was going to be like that i would’ve taken my business to someone else. very mid and uncomfortable experience, i do not recommend taylor

Fantastic experience: A group of us took a trip to Newfoundland to celebrate a friend’s 40th birthday. We contacted Sean a few weeks before we arrived to commemorate our trip with a group tattoo session. The shop is extremely friendly, very clean and a great vibe. We all left with custom tattoos and thanks to the team at Studio Maxx, we were in and out without having to spend the day waiting around. If you’re planning a trip to the East Coast and want to get tattooed during your trip or you’re local. I highly recommend visiting this shop, we all couldn’t be happier with the results and a keepsake from our trip.

I only visit my home, St. John's NL every few years as I live on the mainland now, but I have a feeling all my ink will now be happening whenever I'm home. Thank you Taylor. Fantastic experience: Pedro did an impromptu cover-up for me when I was at home for a visit. I had gotten a tattoo from a friend who was an apprentice several years ago, and it was not great, plus in a very visible spot. Contacted this shop and was very grateful Pedro had a cancelation. I sent him a picture of my laser lightened tattoo and an idea of what I was looking for. What he drew was amazing! We talked about colours when I got there and he was very nice and respectful of my input-unlike many other tattoo shops I've visited. The result is so much better than I could have dreamed! Thanks so much for the beautiful artwork that I'm proud to show off!

Причому, вона хотіла одне, боялася( їй 8) а потім, зрозумівши, що це не боляче, і на друге згодилася. Дуже рекомендую. 2 вушка 60 баксів, а мій хрящик 40. Купили там пшикалку для дезінфекції. Сьогодні вже 5 день, ранки затягнулися, майже не відчуваю.

Fantastic experience: Great experience!!! I got work done by Sean. It's not my first tattoo. I could have fallen asleep it was so smooth. My design was understood and perfectly rendered. Very happy and would go back in I lived in NFLD ;)

Positive experience: The artist was great very nice person and did me a huge favour by getting me a piece so quick unfortunately tho it isn't what I asked for. It wasn't really close to the reference picture I gave. And I did specify that I wanted it to be more cartoony or animated which wasn't what I got at all. Also the color faded immediately and then melded into this gross grey so I got it fixed but it still faded bad and left me scared. Again though it wasn't all on the artist I had lost my friend and it was a tribute to him so I was not in an emotional place to tell him I didn't like the work when he finish. Again I do wanna say he was a great guy and if this is your style he did amazing work, the words are fenominal but it's not the style I asked for.

Fantastic experience: My mom and I came here on our trip to Newfoundland to get commemorative tattoos and it was a fantastic experience! The shop is very clean and welcoming, and there were great spaces for each artist. Sean worked with us to get the perfect design and placement. The appointment went by in the blink of an eye, and we couldn't be happier with the results. We would definitely recommend coming here for tattoos.

Fantastic experience: I went to Master piercings to get my nose and ear pierced, the people there were so nice! Right from the start at the front counter to the end when paying. It was a great experience! I 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had a previous tattoo done in honour of my mom, who passed away from pancreatic cancer. I found a signature of hers saying “Love Mom”. Sean O’Grady put that under the tattoo and when it was done, I cried. It was so overwhelming to see her handwriting on my arm. Then he did a water colour set of paw prints, to honour past and present pets. The colouring and design was amazing. I was so impressed with the fantastic job he did. When I arrived at the shop, I was made to feel very welcomed. The whole experience was like being part of a family, I felt so comfortable. The pricing was very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Sean

Positive experience: I got an orbital. The piercer was very nice and it all went quickly. But he missed the dot entirely which kinda sucked. Not a bad place by any means but If you’re particular about what you want, this might not be the place for you.

Negative experience: I went here for piercings for myself and my son. We were told right away that they were a little behind which was fine. At fifteen minutes late, my son got his ear done. 30 minutes later I was still waiting and the artist then left for some reason unknown to me (perhaps a break, I’m not sure). I left without getting mine done. Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Chris on the Master Piercings side of Studio maxx did my 8 year olds lobes today. She was a bit scarred but determined to go through with it. Chris talked her through it with a few stories and got her smiling. Would recommend to anyone with kids looking for there first piercing. But let the kids make the choice man! Priced vary fairly compared to some other locations around town. Great experience overall. A++

Our emails leading up to our appointment were answered timely and the design was adjusted according to our input. On the day of the tattoo we were delighted to be able to be together to have them done. The shop itself is clean, comfortable, and respectful of personal space needs. Fantastic experience: I had a tattoo done mid April with the wonderful Melissa ( she did the negative space deathly hallows/Jedi symbol in the middle of my family’s birthflowers , which is the start of my lower half sleeve ) Booking the tattoo was super easy with the new booking software , very quick to respond and nailed the design it was even better then I could have imagined . Even got a reminder text/email before the appointment. The shop is super clean and they are focused on cleanliness and making the client comfortable. My tattoo took about 4 hours and she checked regularly to make sure I was comfortable or needed a break , and didn’t seem to mind chatting for the full tattoo lol.at the end she cleaned it all up and bandaged it with Saniderm and gave me instructions on how to take care of it and how to change the dressing and the offer to come back it if I had issues changing the dressing myself . I had my tattoo maybe two weeks and had another appointment booked for myself ( to get three separate small tattoos ) and my mom ( to match one of mine lol) for June 16th. After seeing my tattoo my mom has been dying to go for one ! Can’t wait for the next appointment ekkk! Loves studio maxx and will never go anywhere else for a tattoo ❤️

Fantastic experience: I've had 3 piercings done there and as well went along with 3 other people while they got pierced, and every single time was a 10/10 experience. They're very sterile and professional, showing you the new needle every time and visibly handwashing, sanitizing (before the pandemic as well). As well, not only are the piercings done well, but they make well sure you're aware of where it's going, what's happening, etc... Could not recommend this place more!! And very reasonable pricing.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Studio Maxx for my tattoos since 2013. My last experience was amazing. I had a tattoo done back in August and it was on my thigh, kind of an awkward position for me to lay down and had to adjust myself a couple times. The artist was nice and had no problems with letting me fix my position to feel comfortable. After it was done, he offered for me to come in the following day to put on the week bandage as it was important for it to go on smoothly, I knew I wasn't capable of doing it by myself so we scheduled a time and I was in and out within 5 minutes!

Fantastic experience: Honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! They done my cover up and made me feel so comfortable! They asked questions about how I was feeling and if I needed to take a break or if I needed a drink or anything. They were very professional the Entire time! I have had multiple people comment on my tattoo and say they absolutely love it and ask where I had it done! They are doing such a good job to keep their customers safe during this pandemic, everything is sanitized upon arrival! Overall awesome experience and I’ll defiantly be back soon!
