Fantastic experience: Matty the owner takes great pride in his individual work and the image of the shop. Very clean with an awesome atmosphere. All artists must maintain high level professionalism and hygiene. Matty has a several month wait time but well worth it. Design work done in advance and everything is ready to go when you show up. His work has been kick ass and the biggest problem has been trying to figure what else to get him to tattoo :)

Negative experience: Booked an appointment with Max and asked to make a slight adjustment to the booking. I tried to reach out through email and I didn’t get a response for well over a month. When they did reach out it was well past the appointment date and I was offered my deposit back which I still haven’t received after 3 weeks. I find it really unprofessional to leave your clients out to the wind and then give false promises of reimbursement for his lack of organization. Can’t tell if this speaks volumes about the artist or the shop. Book with another artist or go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I was a bit nervous as this is my first tattoo and I'm a senior so when the door was locked and when we knocked the reception did not know we were coming it took me aback. Our tattoo artist was just finishing his client so wasn't at the door to greet us. When Max did come to greet us he brought us to a sitting area while he cleaned his procedure room. The place itself looked clean. Max continued with us, explaining what he would be doing, always making sure we understood. Max's professionalism relaxed me. His work area was clean. He gave us options where he could. Always making sure we were comfortable in our decisions and while doing the tattoo. Thanks Max. You made this a great memory.

Fantastic experience: Max is a great dude who knows what he's doing. Great at fine line work and just 24 hours later I'm already feeling near healed? That's probably just lucky but I'm giving the credit to Max there. Clearly a dude who loves what he does, saw some of the art I have(from Mississauga, Ontario) and recognized it immediately, bonus points for that. Would recommend anyone I know to go here.

Not only did they make the time for my request, but they treated any hesitations that I had prior to our appointment with the utmost respect, patience and consideration. Fantastic experience: "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" - Chinese Proverb. You'll have to climb a flight of stairs to get up to the shop, but it's totally worth it. I came a long way to get re-pierced (Manitoba y'all). I've been messaging Anna back and forth over the shop's convenient messaging system via messenger. To arrange an appointment. I had the fun idea of getting pierced and/or inked during my travels for memories! Dead Tree Tattoo and Piercing was definitely on my list of places to go to since I was last in the province back in 2012 as they were one of the highly recommended tattoo and piercing places in town. I felt at ease with Anna, she knows her stuff about piercings and handles her clients with care and professionalism. I'm glad she sent me an aftercare info package via email. Totally helpful to have, especially when you've got new mom brain fog going sometimes and the aftercare reminder is a great thing to have! Anna is very knowledgeable about what works with people with sensitivity issues to certain metals, I'm glad she has plenty of jewelry options available - CHONKY SPARKLE BOI! (/^---^)/ Depending on my circumstances, I hope to get my next ink and/or piercing here again in the future. I follow their tattoo artists page on Facebook and Instagram because of the amazing detail and work they put into it. It also helps me keep track of where I definitely want to go for my next piece! Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVED my experience here. My girlfriend and I had two appointments back to back and Ezra was very accommodating, and had an extremely welcoming presence. Briefly interacted with two of the other artists, Matt and Anna, if I'm not mistaken (I apologize if the names are wrong or mispelled) who were also very friendly. The appointments weren't very lengthy, but wasn't rushed either, which left me satisfied and comfortable as I know there was a deeper attention to detail and care. The people aside, the setup inside is pretty slick. It has a nice dark but modern theme, with trinkets, oddities, and beautiful art, that I personally love. I highly recommend this shop, and I'm a little sad I can only leave five stars, so here's the honorary sixth star you guys earned it! See photos attached for the amazing work that Ezra did!
