Deciding to get this cover up at this time in my life was very emotional for me and right from the get go Mor helped me feel at ease. He was kind and considerate through the entire process. Expérience négative: I’ve been a loyal client of this artist for nearly a decade, having gotten six tattoos from him since 2015 — including large, intricate pieces like my forearm portrait, Monkey King, and most recently, a full back phoenix. I’ve also referred friends to him and consistently praised his talent, which I still believe is undeniable. His artistry and ability to work with body form is what initially drew me in and kept me coming back every couple of years. However, the experience over the years has steadily declined, especially after he opened his private studio in Oshawa. As someone who lives in downtown Toronto and doesn’t drive, getting to Oshawa is both time-consuming and expensive. Despite this, I made the effort because I valued his work and considered our relationship more than just transactional. Unfortunately, I’ve repeatedly felt that my time, loyalty, and investment weren’t reciprocated or respected. Here are just a few examples: • In 2019, my forearm tattoo (initially discussed as a single-day piece) wasn’t completed because of a personal conflict he had — his daughter’s birthday. While I understood and appreciated the gesture of a ride back to Toronto, it felt unprofessional that the session was cut short without prior planning or notice. • In 2021, with my Monkey King piece, I again traveled to Oshawa expecting to finish it in one session. Partway through, he said he was too tired to continue and scheduled a second session. Although he waived the deposit, I ended up paying more than expected for only two additional hours — something he could’ve reasonably completed on the first day, saving me both time and another long, costly trip. • In 2023, I was very clear that I only wanted one session for my back piece due to budget constraints. Not only was I never given a proper estimate of the time or cost up front, but the piece wasn’t completed as promised. To make matters worse, I was asked to put down a deposit for the second session — a move that felt transactional and dismissive, especially after nearly 10 years of loyalty and over $10,000 spent. At that moment, it became clear to me: it was just business. No real appreciation for the loyalty or referrals I’d provided over the years. To add insult to injury, I was charged $300/hour for the last session, only to discover afterward that his rate has since been reduced back to $250/hour — a small but telling detail that made me feel taken advantage of. I’ve supported this artist consistently for 10 years, gone out of my way to accommodate his scheduling, and paid premium rates — all because I respected his talent. But in return, I haven’t felt valued as a client. My experiences have increasingly felt like afterthoughts in his schedule, and that’s incredibly disappointing after such a long history. I’m writing this not out of spite, but because I genuinely hoped to continue getting tattooed by him for years to come. I reached out privately to share this experience before deciding whether to leave this review, because I still wanted to give him a chance to respond. Unfortunately, I now feel the need to be transparent with others. His work is exceptional — no doubt. But if you value professionalism, clarity, and being treated with consistent respect as a client, you may want to be cautious or look elsewhere.

I went in knowing what I wanted but Mor put it together in a work of art. The unbelievable talent this man has!!! Thank you Mor. His staff is fantastic! Very hospitable, warm and friendly, they’re all very much like family, I love that. Extremely clean and sterile establishment, great music and positive atmosphere . Expérience négative: Worst after experience I’ve ever had I am covered in tattoos and piercings. My dimples were not measured accordingly for the inside of my mouth making it literally impossible to put any cheek bar in. And to mention the direction of the right side is angled down and all the way back. I’ve been up all night trying to put a bar in with no luck extreme pain and swelling all over again. My right cheek has been completely botched. The healing process is dreadfully long as expected so not a piercing that has much wiggle room to make this big of a screw up. I am now going to have to stay up the rest of the night and come in at 11am in hopes I can get a bar on properly… I’m extremely disappointed with the cost resulting in this much hassle. I believe that side a nerve has also been hit as the left side is hood to go yet I get a shooting Pain that shoots up my cheek each time the bar is moved in the slightest. This is definitely an issue that could have been avoided.

Expérience fantastique: Mor at morink, I can't speak highly enough about him. What an absolute genuine guy! Morink was recommended to me by my youngest daughter. I booked an appointment 3 months ahead and went in blind! I wanted something done but wasn't sure what I wanted. I knew it had to be something to do with my kids. My babies. My appointment was set at 10am and by 11, with Mor helping me, I made my decision. While he was tattooing me, he always talked so highly of the love of his life! He told me he wouldn't be where he was if it wasn't for his beautiful fiance who asked him to marry her! What a beautiful love story! And his associates that work there, my gosh, their beautiful inside and out! I only wish their were more beautiful people in the world like Mor and his wonderful staff. The world would be a much more wonderful place ♥️

The staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable in their field. Atmosphere of the shop was positive and inviting. Very clean and well organized. I almost fainted when I got my piercing (I'm prone to fainting), but Mor and the rest of the staff were super kind and helpful and I didn't feel rushed. They gave me some pop and let me lay down for a while. They checked in on me frequently. The tattoo went better than I've ever experienced. The artist was gentle and had very good techniques. Expérience négative: Got a tattoo from Mor back when he worked at chronic ink asked for a cherub holding a glorisa and he gave me a tattoo of some realistic looking child. It was NOTHING like the reference photo i had given him. Now I’m stuck with some random persons child on my arm and going to have too pay another thousand something dollars to get it corrected when it could of all been avoided if he just listened to my request in the first place, instead of doing what he wanted with 0 regard that it would be on me for life. Would definitely not recommend this artist.

Four years later, I found out he started his own business and had his own shop in Oshawa. I am so happy I decided to book an apt. He did a beautiful butterfly for me and I am constantly getting compliments. He is so detail-oriented and creative. He is patient and takes his time with his work. A true artist, and a very kind person. Highly recommend ☺️
