After reading many online and Facebook reviews/comments from fellow Mom's - I knew Erin was the one we needed to see to have our 9yr old daughter's ears pierced for the first time in November 2024. Erin was so kind, patient and relaxed with our daughter. She has us go through all of the paperwork together and each sign off on the requirements. Erin took the time to explain each step of the process and gave our daughter a break between ears when she needed a moment. We even came back to see Erin 3 months later to have an earring change - when one got stuck. Thank you Erin - we highly recommend you and your services.

He is extremely welcoming, friendly and equally talented at his craft. He is also lightening fast but thorough and so light handed - which is so rare and wonderful. Already booked two more! My only complaint is how full his books are cause I want them NOW! 10/10

Expérience négative: I messaged this place for a quote on a tattoo a while ago. They said they don’t do quotes online to go to instagram and text an artist via message, which I did to no response. So I waited as I am patient enough, so I called them a couple of days ago and the lady who answered the phone was really rude saying I already told you that we don’t give out quotes on phone and hung up on me. Needless to say that this place needs a brush up on their customer service skills. How is a client supposed to get a tattoo ? Also it’s not my for tattoo I’ve come across many other artists who do quotes via Facebook messenger, WhatsApp, phones hell I even got a quote once from a tattoo artist at a local subway. I decided to spend my money elsewhere and got a better deal at another tattoo shop. Will be warning others also! Edit: upon investigation! lol messaging me on Facebook and arguing with me after I left a bad review instead of fixing the problem. I specifically explained to you what happened and I instead getting answers from artists all I got was lazy attitude. With the owner saying “oh well im so happy that you have many years of customer service knowledge, you should be proud.” Yes I am proud and happy that I didn’t choose your facility, Thanks for the chuckle. I wish you the best if this how you react towards a customer messaging on Facebook? And then arguing, later belittling. Also never gave me a reason why you don’t do quotes online, I am done responding back to this objectionable review. Have a good day.

Expérience positive: I got a piercing at the end of April and scheduled a follow-up appointment to change the backing. I received a call a few hours before my appointment, saying she was going to have to cancel because she “had errands to run” at the start of her shift. Her availability for the remainder of the day was limited, so I wasn’t able to reschedule the appointment. I totally understand things come up, but was a bit frustrated because I had booked the appointment in advance, and didn’t feel the follow-up was prioritized.

Expérience fantastique: Saw Erin for a nose piercing. Removed one nearly 20 years ago, and she was able to get it in the exact same spot. Was quick and nearly painless. The shop itself was clean and had a nice vibe. All of the tools and jewelry were removed from sterile packaging in front of me. Several cute, high-quality pieces to choose from, many from small Canadian businesses. The procedure was well explained, and she told me what she was doing at each step, so there were no surprises. Aftercare instructions were discussed and provided on a printout. The consent form was thorough and easy to understand. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend checking it out for your next piercing or tattoo. I would absolutely visit again.

Expérience fantastique: My two daughters had their ears pierced with Erin recently at True North Tattoo. From beginning to end Erin was fantastic to deal with. Her approach of body autonomy and children making their own choices for piercings was exactly the approach I wanted to find. Erin was helpful and knowledgeable during the booking process. At the appointment she made sure my girls wanted to be pierced (even having them sign their own parts of the waivers), explained every step to them and made them feel extremely comfortable with the process. My one daughter is extremely anxious with needles, but Erin made this such a positive and validating experience for her - I can't express enough thanks for the encouragement and patience Erin gave her to make this a positive experience. Everything was very clean and sanitary with all items being cleaned or unwrapped right in front of us. Compared to other piercing options, this is a bit more expensive, but incredibly worth the cost difference for the quality of the overall process, the experience of the piercer and the quality of the work, components and jewelry. Highly, highly recommend!!

Expérience fantastique: Couple years ago, I went in and got a fairly small but personal tattoo done with the hope I would like the shop, the artist and the final product enough to pull the trigger on a leg sleeve. The shops got an awesome vibe, the people there seem super welcoming and friendly and all my tattoos thus far have been on point. Dak is an incredible artist (and person) with some fairly decent taste in music. The sleeve has been pretty collaborative so far and honestly, couldn’t be happier with it.

Since moving to the city I’ve collected 3 huge pieces from her. She puts so much care into her work to make sure you leave with exactly what you want. I have no reason to post a fake review. You provide a service and hospitality should always a part of that service. I did not deserve the treatment I got because I wanted to ask a few questions. Also I have not given a single bad review as you can see, so I must really have been treated bad to give one. Instead of accusing me falsely reviewing, focus on better customer service

She spent a lot of time marking my ears to get the placement perfect. I previously got some lobe piercings at another shop and I wasn't totally happy with. I really appreciate Erin taking the time to make sure that didn't happen again. We added 2 lobe piercings on each ear and the results are perfect. I've been getting tattooed by Austin since 2020, completing numerous large scale and small tattoos. He is extraordinarily skilled, attentive, patient, and understanding during every part of the process leading up to you walking out of the shop with a stellar tattoo. Every session is a great experience because he makes it such a friendly, welcoming and inclusive space.

Expérience négative: I researched many tattoo places & spoke with family & friend with tattoos before deciding to go to this establishment. Ive never had a tattoo but after several years of considering, I arranged a consultation with one of their male tattoo artists. He was late to my consultation and was not prompt in responding to texts messages. This would have typically been a “red flag” for me, which I now regret not listening to. I had to reschedule two times due to a family medical emergency but attended the actual appointment earlier this month. Once again, he was late, which made me extremely nervous & doubtful. Foolish & naive me, went ahead with the tattoo as it had taken so long to get to this point (money, courage & time) & he kept reassuring me that he could give me the tattoo I had specially requested. He presented at both my consultation and appointment as distracted, rushed & a poor communicator. Again, my mistake for disregarding another red flag. When he applied the stencil I commented that it did not look like what I wanted & he again reassured me and told me to lie down. I showed him the design again, he asked me if I wanted colour to which I started, “well yes” as my image was shades of purple, blue & black. Another red flag. When he was done, after an hour, I sat up a bit shocked & bewildered because this was my first experience. (much like having undergone a dental procedure for the first time). I told him I needed to go home and process the experience, paid the balance owing & left. Being a naive idiot, I also gave him a small tip as my sons advised me that this was expected. I am now stuck with a tattoo that is not what I asked for. I reached out to both he & his boss. Surprisingly, the artist was prompt with his email response but made several excuses & put all the blame on me. His boss agreed to meet with me though when arrived he was also late. The boss, was also quick to come up with many excuses about his employee and refused to listen to my concerns about the tattoo and my version events. This guy literally stood up after less than 5 minutes of meeting with me & said “we’re done” & “what do you expect me to do”, then proceeded to show me the door & said “good luck” as I walked out. I will never recommend this business to anyone or those who I choose to tell or ask about my experience. Needless to say, I’m now exploring my options for either a cover up or possible laser removal. Extremely disappointed as this was to be my first & only tattoo & a memorial at that! Hard lesson to learn, even at my age!

There is an image that I just fell in love with that I wanted from The band called KASADOR and a video from their new album BROOD & BLOOM that I just fell in love with that I wanted. Joel my tattoo artist was able to do the artwork, painlessly, beautifully to my great satisfaction! The staff is friendly. The place is very clean and they have a lot a tattoos to look and choose from. You can bring in your own idea like I did from a video. The consultation was free. You choose your artist. My tattoo is finally posted!
