All my tattoos have been done by Tyler, but everyone else there is always so friendly! Highly recommend checking them out, I drive all the way in from Hamilton and it’s 100% worth the drive every time!

This weekend, I took my daughter for her first tattoo, and Lydia went above and beyond to make it a positive experience. My daughter is autistic, and Lydia made her feel completely comfortable, included and valued, taking the time to explain every step of the process and regularly checking in on her comfort. She truly made her feel no different from anyone else. Lydia‘s care and professionalism extends across generations, my 80-year-old mother has also had multiple experiences with her, and my oldest daughter and son-in-law are regular clients as well. She has an excellent bedside manner and consistently provides outstanding service. We are lucky to have found her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, skilled tattoo artist.

Expérience négative: I received a few tattoos from Lydia. It was my first time coming to grateful entirely disappointed the hospitality was mediocre at best, I asked her to take a look at a tattoo I wanted covered up ensured I would get a ( at the very least ) template or idea of what she thought would or could cover the tattoo and after multiple attempts of reaching out after she told me too ghosted me. Not to mention the tattoos I originally came to her for were done poorly the picture I gave her didn’t match what she did and I came back again to get them touched up with the same outcome where they just looked sloppy or bleeding. Sad because I had higher expectations.

If you’re looking for fine line tattoos, Sarah absolutely kills it. Lydia: I was originally a walk-in for Lydia, and her work blows me away every time. I’ve gotten multiple pieces from her now. She keeps you comfortable and somehow manages to make you laugh while putting you through the pain. Her healed work looks so good it almost looks freshly done. I’ve even recommended family members to her and they’re just as happy with their tattoos. From fine line to traditional, Lydia’s your girl! Adrian: I have two pieces from Adrian and he’s been awesome to work with. He’s super welcoming and easy to talk to. Even though he hasn’t been tattooing for that long, his work looks like he’s been doing it for years. The natural talent is definitely there. All of the artists at the shop are top-notch, you really can’t go wrong with anyone there.

I'd been following him for a few years, and I'm so beyond stoked to finally be fulfilling one of my tattoo dreams! Tyler is very kind, fun to talk to (he's a fellow nerd and likes anime so that makes the conversation flow easy) and he just has all-around positive vibes. Even though we only did the outline, he got it done in 2 freaking hours, which is hella fast, yet he was pretty gentle with the needle. Expérience fantastique: When I tell you this place is so cool and nicely decorated on the inside I mean it. Everything was so nicely cleaned and it felt so comfortable in there even though it was my first piercing. My piercers name was Shayne and he pierced my nose so well and even gave a free natural soap to clean my piercing with. He also gave my family free redbulls. Chillest guy I’ve ever met, and I knew him for 20 minutes. My body rejected my piercing and fell out while I was sleeping, and he did it again for me, free of charge. This was 2 years ago but I forgot to write a review until now. I have since sent 2 of my friends there for their nose piercings too. Best experience I will probably ever have in a tattoo/piercing shop. Thanks Shayne!

The entire staff is welcoming and it is a clean relaxing facility with good tunes and good vibes. Tyler did a memorial piece for me that I couldn’t be more pleased with. His attention to detail was damn near perfect and his recommendations for what to add vs remove showed his experience. Tyler is very creative and was able to take my ideas and make them into a masterpiece. This has by far been the best experience getting a tattoo and I am grateful. Expérience fantastique: I made the trip to Grateful Tattoo from Toronto today to see Tyler Mansey for a pretty complicated project, I have 2 meaningful tattoos that I wanted to link together. After being turned away by many artists and being told my vision wasn't possible, Tyler embraced the project. Not only did he take the project on, he hit a complete homerun. He took my ideas and made them come to life, the result is beyond what I expected. Tyler is a kind-hearted and empathetic person, he is very accommodating, collaborative and responds to emails quickly. He requested 800 photos of my pup in different angles to make sure he captured her personality and essence perfectly. I was super anxious to see the final portrait, but when he showed me at the studio I was in LOVE with it. He has a very no-nonsense way of working and honestly it was exactly what I needed (LOL). He went above and beyond, making sure my sitting was relaxing, while respecting my time (and money) with efficient work. Expérience fantastique: I’m currently having a full sleeve tattoo done by Tyler Mansey, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results so far. Even though the piece isn’t complete, I receive constant compliments on the work—it's truly stunning. Tyler has a warm, approachable personality that immediately puts you at ease, and the entire staff reflects the same welcoming and friendly atmosphere. He has been incredibly accommodating with scheduling changes and always respects my physical limits during each session, which I deeply appreciate. Discovering his work on Instagram was such a fortunate find. Tyler has taken my vision and transformed it into something even more beautiful than I could have imagined.

Expérience positive: Although I appreciate the skill and artistry of my tattoo, I was disappointed with the final price. $1100+ ($200/hr) for a 3.5x6.5 inch tattoo, it was significantly higher than expected. I feel that the price did not reflect the size and complexity of the tattoo, and I would have appreciated an approximate time frame for the tattoo beforehand. I love the artist and their work but they are easily distracted. Because while actually tattooing, they were fast and efficient. I also don't think it's appropriate to talk about a bank account being in over draft while providing a service that is based on hourly rate that is dependant on your skill/speed.

What I thought would be such a painful piercing turned out to be a 1/10. From this alone, I could tell that he is a very experienced piercer and definitely someone you could trust. Expérience fantastique: Make an appointment with bobby to get a coverup done and a piece for my step dad that passed away. Coverup was perfect and covered everything up! The piece for my step dad turned out better then I could have hoped for and bobby even did research to make sure it was properly done with the right amount of heads in the rosary. Definitely going back for more!! The whole atmosphere of the shop is welcoming , clean, professional, fun and makes you feel right at home. Best experience!

Expérience fantastique: I travelled out of town to get a memorial piece for my cat who passed away this year and I couldn't be more happy with Tyler's work. This was a very sentimental tattoo for me and Tyler made it a great experience with a lot of laughs, and the attention to detail and the patience he put into this definitely made the commute worth it. We worked around a couple tattoos I already had on my arm and he made sure that the size and location was exact to where I wanted it, while making sure that the bend of my arm wouldn't distort the tattoo, and he kept his work station extremely sterile and organized. I mentioned how I was unhappy with one of my tattoo's that I had on my arm (by another artist and tattoo shop), and he was able to give me some suggestions on how we can adjust it / work in some other pieces to make it all blend in, and there's no doubt that I'll be coming back to him to get this done. I trust him entirely. Thank you so much again for this amazing tattoo and the time you put into creating it.

Expérience fantastique: Went to see Tyler back in August with my mom for mother daughter tattoos. Had a such a great experience that I booked a few months later with Tyler for more of my forearm sleeve. He really takes the time to make sure you are going to love the piece before starting the tattoo. The shop is incredible clean and tidy. The other artists have some of their work hanging and they are all extremely talented. Overall is a great environment and I have enjoyed both my experiences there.

Every tattooed I've got from this crew, regardless of the style, has been something I left very happy with. I drive from over an hour away to work with the artists at this shop. Great crew, great artists, and a great vibe!

Expérience fantastique: I would definitely recommend Grateful, and specifically Tyler is very talented and did a phenomenal job on my thigh/hip tattoo! The shop is really great and everyone was very nice. Tyler also has a large tv set up so it was a good distraction during the appointments! Initially I was worried I might feel uncomfortable being tattooed by a male; however, Tyler is really nice and he made sure I had what I needed and that I was comfortable, so it was a great experience over all! I also really appreciated the time he took to help me debate my questions about colours vs black and grey, so I feel like I was able to make informed decisions for what to choose, and I am very happy with the results. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely recommend

Expérience fantastique: I’ve gone for 5/8 sessions so far and every time has been amazing! I’ve gotten tattooed by 9 different artists in a few different countries, but Tyler has been my favourite artist so far. I came to Tyler with a concept for a full sleeve and gave him creative freedom and he has not disappointed. He describes his plan for each session in full detail to make sure I’m feeling up for it for the day, and always asks how I’m feeling as the day progresses as I’ve been having longer sessions. He’s also very easy to talk to and I leave every session feeling like I have a new bestie. (Work in progress photo attached) The shop: the shop is great! As I’ve been coming and going quite a few times, I’ve also really gotten to know the other artists/owner. I can say everyone there is super great to talk to. The shop is wonderfully designed with some cool merch available and super clean. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get quality work done. Thanks Tyler, Chris & team!!
