He was patient with my niece and even pierced his own ear to show her how quick the process is. I went back to have different earrings put in because I have very finicky ears and he had no problem changing them to a different earring. Highly recommend him!

Experiencia fantástica: THE. ONLY. reason I am giving this place 5 stars is because of Brady!! He pierced my 5 year old’s ears tonight, and was SPECTACULAR!!! We went in looking for Irish, who has left the shop. Listen to me: BRADY is just as good, and GREAT with kids! He was calming, professional, and thorough. Her little ears look PERFECT! The tattoo artist “working” the front was rude, incompetent, and downright degrading to deal with in customer service. We arrived at 5:30, the time we were told the piercer would return, and went inside to use the restroom before piercing ears. I asked permission for her to use the restroom and he said “ugh, yeah.. but stay in the waiting room. You have to wait up there. You can’t be back here”. (As if she was going to hang out in a tattoo chair behind the gate licking a tattoo gun while waiting.. yeah right). It wasn’t rude per se, but it wasn’t friendly either. THEN- when we’re in the middle of piercing my daughter’s ears, another piercing customer comes in and says “hi I got a piercing on Thursday and—“ he immediately cut her off and says “yeah piercings are $25 sign in on the sheet”. She says “oh, well I actually already got my piercing.. I just had a question ab—“ HE CUTS HER OFF AGAIN and says “look I'm the tattoo artist, I don’t know anything about piercings just sign in”. Needless to say, she wasn’t waiting in the lobby when we left 10 minutes later, and I wouldn’t have either. I spoke to the owner of the shop earlier today, and she was very nice. But as a business owner, if this is the way my “artists” were treating my paying customers I’d want to know. I would recommend Brady to EVERYONE, he was wonderful. But we won’t be back to straight edge anytime soon.

Aye, better get to Straight Edge (it’s at the end of Broad St. on your left or coming from Smyrna it’s on your right) they do PHENOMENAL work EVERY time. They are VERY professional & friendly I REALLY love this place. They answer the phone when customers call, the pricing is great & reasonable in my opinion. Let me say this, I haven’t had a tattoo from them.. YET.. but ALL my piercings that I still have & have just gotten three re pierced have been done by Straight Edge I haven’t went && will NOT go anywhere else even if I move ima still make the drive, because why not it’s most definitely worth it. Ima miss you Irish you were a great piercer, I hope you enjoy your retirement. Now the new piecer Brady is HANDS DOWN AMAZING!!! You just gotta go check them out & see for yourself I promise it is worth the time of day!

I’ve had bad experiences with piercings that have been horribly crooked and been pierced through cartilage. But he didn’t my eyebrow so quick. I was very nervous at first but his vibe made the process even better. He’s been in the industry for 21 years. And it completely shows!

Her attention to detail is above and beyond.. the first picture is the picture I sent her, the second two or the actual tattoo, they are identical!!!this tattoo looks 3D.5 straight hours.no break.no pee.no nothing.actually went to sleep twice.she never stopped,and she FREAKIN NAILED IT!!l suggest pure heart tattoo and body piercing to everyone and especially shae Vincent to visit them in the boro. Experiencia negativa: walked in for a piercing and was immediately greeted very rudely by the piercer, he very clearly didn’t wanna be there and was annoyed when we told him the piercings i wanted. then when i went to give him my ID he refused to take it so i just left. definitely don’t go here for piercings.

Experiencia negativa: Called up a day in advance to see if they pierce minors and they said they did, drove 2 hours for an employee out on their smoke break to say they wouldn’t even look or touch my daughter’s face because she was under 18. Do not recommend this place at all they are incredibly rude and disrespectful.

Experiencia negativa: The only reason I’m giving a two star rating is because the front desk lady was sweet. Otherwise it would be a one star. I was a walk-in, at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon. Came in with an idea and knew exactly what I wanted, but had to change it after finding out the complications that come with hand tattoos. So on a whim I had to figure something else out. The artist was clearly annoyed as soon as I walked in. Then once I had to figure out another alternative, I could feel the aggravation seeping out of him. It was very awkward. So I’m throwing out ideas and showing pictures, with no feedback from him. He then states “you need to figure it out or come back when you do”. Mind you, the place was empty. So once I realized he was super annoyed with me, and not with just life in general; I decided not to waste my money on someone who clearly didn’t want to help me or tattoo me. So if you want a tattoo, and your just a little indecisive in the moment, don’t come to straight edge they don’t have the patience for you or your ideas.

Experiencia negativa: I've had work done from this shop (years back) and my dad has had a good bit of work done. They always did us right, which is why I wanted to go back (even though I live an hour away)... Tried many times to get in to get a new tattoo and I've never had to work so hard to give someone my money. Emailed the artist I wanted to use, and he must not be too hungry, since I'm still waiting on a response to my second email for about a week now. I've found someone local to me that has been extremely responsive and professional and is happy to take my money and I will now be leaving (reluctantly) Straight Edge behind.... Sad day, but that's the way she goes. I shouldn't have to put in work to give someone my hard earned cash.

I got a piercing 6 months ago and I liked the work so I came back to get another today. I walked in, 2 artist had their back turned away from me and then turned around to look at me and turned back away without even acknowledging me after I said “Hello.” I almost walked back out due to unwelcoming nature but remembered that I liked the piercer so I put my name on the list and waited outside for him to call me due to the covid protocols. The piercing went well. The price as listed by the sign in sheet is off a little so bring extra cash as they only take cash.

Experiencia negativa: I went 2 days ago and got the other side of my nose pierced and paid for matching jewelry on the other side. Today i wake up and BOOM the jewell is gone! So obviously it was not screwed on correct and I'm from 6hrs away so they'll probably do absolutely nothing about it. I'm beyond irritated about this and have never had bad experience with tattoos or piercings and i have a BUNCH

Experiencia negativa: I went in to get a $300 tattoo gift certificate for a Christmas present today. I had never been in the shop, nor received any tattoo work there. I ride Harley's and am across the street at the Harley dealership often/where I saw the tattoo shop and decided to see if they sold gift certificates... I walked in and was greeted and asked what I needed. I asked if they did gift certificates and told they normally do, but not today bc of they were doing something else involving toys for tots. The lady told me since they were slow they could probably do one. She then proceeded to tell another staff member to take care of me. He explained to her that he was not trained to do it. She said that she was on break so.... ? Wasn't too willing to help and I'm not begging anyone to take my money. Plenty of shops around that anyone can choose from I will def choose another.

He did not even look at us while speaking to us in a very monotone unfriendly manner.There is no way that I would attempt to give this business my hard earned money.

He was gentle and explained how to care for the piercings in great detail. My daughter is beyond happy and we love our piercings. My husband has a lot of tattoos and knows of Chris (owner?) when he had a space in Donelson so we felt comfortable from the beginning. Experiencia positiva: I like Straight Edge; haven't been tattooed there but have talked to a couple artists that were really cool, gave great info, were just too booked up for what and when I needed. I have been pierced there the piercer is pretty gruff seeming (at least was with me) but very obviously knew what he was doing really well, explained all the important details, and when we finished and got to taking about aftercare he seemed like he really cared. I'd definitely get pierced there again, and would be confident getting tattooed also after talking to the specific artist (they have several), except that I'm super happy with the artist I ended up going to for 2 pretty big pieces.

I’ve had to change the jewelry on both my piercings early, because they weren’t healing well. probably due to being pierced with poor quality jewelry seems how now that I’ve changed them, they are doing much better. Experiencia negativa: I went to get a septum piercing, called before and asked specifically if i needed to make an appointment. They told me to just come an sign in. I get there but there was no piercer at the moment and there was about 5 people before me and 3 more signed in after me. I sat there about 15 mins and still didn't get any interaction soo i called another place that got me in right away and it was $20 cheaper!.... oh Straight Edge ended up calling about an hour later and said they were ready for me. Of course people get a break but maybe that's why you guys should make appts. Nobody wants to wait there for an hour and a half.

Experiencia negativa: I was a walk in. Came in at 8 and was told to come back at 9, so I did. I was sent to Kenny who already had an attitude. He tried to way over charge me and continually told me he didn't want to tattoo me because "he'd had a long day". Half my ink bled and faded within one week.

Experiencia positiva: Irish is a great!! My daughter got her belly button & septum pierced all by herself-no hand holding!! Only issue was the cost. I was originally told a lesser price but it all worked out and my daughter was extremely happy!!

Experiencia fantástica: Just before covid closed everything down, I walked in and asked if they could do an industrial piercing. Within 15 minutes I was in a chair and getting prepped for a piercing with Irish. He did everything quick and precise, all done within a few minutes. I did end up blacking out for a few seconds because I made the mistake of not eating before going in, but Irish stayed very professional and made sure I was okay before letting me leave the parlor. Now 2.5 months later and it's all healed up! Looks great and I love being able to switch it out with different bars depending on how I feel that day. Thanks again for a great first piercing experience!

Experiencia negativa: Do not recommend for a walk in. Was told it would be maybe an hour wait. That there was only 3 small tattoos before us. Two hours later we were still waiting and they let a 4th person get one. They never talked to us after signing in. Response from owner: "Sorry you feel this way. Hope you have more patience for the next time you go to a tattoo shop as a walk-in." My response to the owner: Waiting for 2 hours after being told that it may be only an hour wait is having a lot of patience. I hope you communicate to your customers better instead of back there chatting away. We would have stayed if you would have came and said that he was cleaning up and about to start us.

After finally going back inside, waiting another 5 min to finally get called back. 40 min after original start time, we get started. It's a business, you should probably work on priorities. Just saying.
