Experiencia negativa: ive waited a while to leave this review in hopes things would be okay with my piercings, but unfortunately I’ve had a really poor experience here. I scheduled an appointment for their Independence Day special where you’re able to get bogo piercings. I went in for my Medusa and Flat on my year. My piercer Judith was very very kind and made me feel very comfortable, and the environment was very clean. that is why i will leave a 2 star instead of a 1. When initially pierced my Medusa looked somewhat crooked , I asked if it was supposed to sit crooked like that and she assured me it was just because of the longer bar we had to put it for swelling that that it would adjust itself and be fine. I was also pierced with a 18 gauge which i was not aware of. I was supposed to come in in about 2 weeks for a downsize, i was told i can come in any time before 8 as a walk in to get my bar shortened. After one week of having the piercing it was very clear it was not healing right, so i went in to get some help. Every time i tried for a walk in, and even when i tried calling to make sure they had time for a jewelry change, i was turned away OR they told me they had to order more posts for jewelry cause they are running low. At this point im about 2 months or so of having the piercing it’s still super swollen and irritated so i went to another shop to have them look at it where they informed me it was in fact, pierced extremely crooked, and because of that, and the fact it was a smaller gauge, it was not healing properly and causing micro tears. Now i have about 15 piercings and I know how to take care of them. I babied it for about another 3 weeks before i went back in and they had to remove the jewelry for me and now i have to get the piercings redone which really sucks. I didn’t even mention my flat yet, which was also unfortunately angled and is also probably going to be removed. I’m really sadden by my experience because a lot of the work that goes on with the shop seems really good, and im not one to usually leave a review but i definitely am very disappointed with my experience here

Experiencia fantástica: I got my earlobes re-pierced and I got my first tattoo. The piercing was the best piercing experience I've ever had. I highly recommend them over the mall experience with the gun. It was sooo much less painful. The tattoo was wonderful also. I got a small blue semicolon butterfly on my upper arm. Very little pain and it looks great! Lazy has the driest sense of humor, which made the experience even better.

Experiencia fantástica: Came here on a whim with my friends for some fun piercings. I called multiple places on a busy Sunday and the receptionist was super friendly and welcoming. When we got there we signed in immediately and there was about a 25 min wait for walk ins. Tim was our piercer and I have so many compliments for him! As a nurse, I’m huge on cleanliness and he’s by far the cleanest piercer I’ve had. He understands infection control & takes it seriously which I really appreciated. He made great suggestions for my friends based on their ear anatomy. We were all extremely pleased! The shop is clean and decorated nicely! I highly recommend.

I went to different peircer to get downsized and they were shocked by how thick it was. Said it looked like a 12 gauge. That is crazy to do on a forward helix. Learned my lesson to always ask what size gauge is being used.

Experiencia positiva: Was hesitant to give my review but want to express my feelings towards my experience I had today. Only went in to change my two nostril piercings and go up a gauge in my septum. Though the atmosphere was nice and all employees were very sweet I am disappointed on the price I paid for the quality of work I got. I settled on 3 titanium jewelry pieces, basic but nice and my total came to over 150, which is steep but for quality work I don’t mind. My piercer was very sweet and the process took more time than expected but again, I enjoy getting pierced and being there. However, once I got home I realized the ball to my septum was not even screwed in all the way and was very loose. while trying to tighten the ball with my already pretty sore septum the ball popped right out. Spent over an hour trying to get it in and had to pull out my own piercing kit to get it back in. Again, not the end of the world but for 150 dollars I would like to expect that ball is not going anywhere. I know no one is perfect and things like this happen, but just disappointed.

There was no surprise pokes, and she made sure before piercing that the jewelry would look right with my face. She made sure to mark where it matches with my anatomy which was something i was very pleased with. She even helped me on picking out jewelry and explaining the pricing and her own recommendations from each the more affordable options and the high end ones. She made sure to explain why they use the jewelry they use to start you off. Front desk person was so condescending and rude it made me feel like she didn’t want me there and discouraged me from following through with my service. My partner did actually continue their service and described it as just “ok”. The staff members seemed more interested in what was on their phone than their client. Needless to say there are a ton of good places nearby worth checking out.

I have received both tattoos and piercings here and can attest that they are the best in Philly. I recently got a tattoo from Gerardo Flores along with my boyfriend. Both of us came in as walk-ins and we’re immediately greeted and welcomed. Gerardo was able to capture my vision effortlessly which for a walk in appointment with no prior discussions is incredible. This was by far the most pain free and precise tattoo I have ever gotten. Though my camera skills are not great, it is easy to see how meticulously he outlines and fills in writing. There is absolutely nothing that could make this tattoo better! The experience itself was incredible, my boyfriend and I had amazing conversations with Gerardo and the other staff members who all made us feel like family. The passion and respect in this shop is palpable and a reason alone to visit. For my boyfriends tattoo, he knew that he wanted to get one on his hand but had a few different ideas in mind. Gerardo helped to pick out the best option keeping in mind the rest of his tattoos and created a stunning rose. There isn’t a line or shade out of place and being that it was on his hand shows just how skilled Gerardo is. On top of this, Gerardo stayed later to make sure that my boyfriends tattoo was not only completed but shaded perfectly. We never once felt rushed and could see how much he cares about his art and his clients. He truly took the time to make sure that the tattoo was perfect, for a hand tattoo that is clearly incredibly important. We are both so proud and grateful to have his work on us and are eager for more. We go back there on Monday (after receiving a confirmation text) and they say their piercer isn’t in until Thursday. Left feeling very annoyed and I would not recommend this place at all

Experiencia fantástica: 10/10 experience every time I visit the shop. First off the vibes in there are always great, and it is always super clean. The shop has to have some of the nicest front desk people of any tattoo place I’ve ever been to. My artist, Gerardo, is the real treasure though. He is amazing at what he does and always execute my vision perfectly. It’s ridiculously impressive honestly. He has mastered so many different styles of tattoos, so whatever you’re looking to get done you can definitely trust him to tattoo it flawlessly. I used to exclusively go to another artist until I met Gerardo. The first time I went to the shop was a super last minute decision. My friend and I had decided that afternoon that we wanted to get matching tattoos. Since we live in a generation of instant gratification, we obviously wanted to go get them done asap. So we called a few shops to see if they could take walk ins and lo and behold No Ka Oi graciously offered for us to come in that day. The second we introduce ourselves to Gerardo there was an instant vibe. He was so patient and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. It was such a great experience. He had me laughing so hard the entire time that I barely noticed the pain from my tattoo lol. From that moment forward I have strictly gone to Gerardo for all of my tats and will continue to only go to him, for as long as he is tattooing here in philly. I have gotten about 10 tattoos from him in the past 7 months because his work is seriously just that good! I get so many compliments on my tats and everyone always asks who my artist is. I have recommended so many people to go see Gerardo and if you’re reading this, go book with him asap!! I can guarantee you won’t regret it. Not only are you gonna love your new tat but you will also have such a good time getting it done with Gerardo. I went upstairs and there was someone there covering and she was extremely nice, thoughtful, and great with communicating for any of the many questions I had. She eased me into the process and warned me appropriately when she was going to start the piercing. Experiencia negativa: I usually love this place and I hesitated if I should even post this but wanted to give my review as well. Beware of guest piercers and do your homework on them. I scheduled my appointment weeks in advance and had faith that whatever this shop offered would give me a good outcome. I asked for a second nostril piercing and my original changed to a hoop. The guest piecer who was leaving town in two days for good, initial pierced me and it was visibly crooked. We agree she’s going to change the original out from stud to hoop and then we’re going to repierce the new one. She hit me so hard with the repierce without warning, and then realizes she pierced me with the old stud that had been replaced by the hoop. So I was bagged up the supposed to be new stud and told I already paid for it so it’s mine and no refunds were available bc it had already been in my body. I left and have cried every day since because the piercing is still crooked and did not heal well despite taking care of it the same way as all of my other piercings. This happened a few months ago and I have not seen this guest back at the location since.

Experiencia negativa: I can't believe this place has such high ratings. Look at their photos. This place has terrible line work and is ridiculously overpriced. Paid 100s for a simple memorial tattoo for my mom's birthday when she lost her dog. Lines are shakey and one year later the ink is blotchy and fading. Avoid this place unless you want to pay premium for a prison tattoo.

I called the shop on Friday made the appointment for November 13 at 3:30 .coming from Wilmington Delaware then payed for parking ...just to get there wait 15 min young chic who was handling all of us customers was just act like she didn't want to be there and unfriendly customer sesrvice failed that wasn't the worst ..they had guess pop up artist one from Cali and the chic from Colorado she could'nt find the tools and didn't have her own....then trued to give me and bogus price God Guided me up out of there money still in my pocke sorry had to talk about my experience today took a 45 min trip for them to tell me they don't have the tool...

Experiencia fantástica: Last year I had my left nostril pierced by Luis, and decided on a crystal stud. It was my first piercing other than my ears, and Luis made the process comfortable and at ease with clear expectations of each step. It looks amazing even still one year later! Healing went smoothly with proper care. That’s why I came back yesterday one year later to have my navel pierced by the amazing team of NoKaOi. Haley was amazing and again made the piercing process easy with a beautiful result. I got a very pretty piece of belly button jewelry and can’t wait to show it off more in the summer! Highly recommended and I’m sure to be back for another treat to myself :)

He told a flat out lie because he didn't want to take the time to do a tongue piercing. We even had an appointment for two piercings! Glad we didn't get it done here. Chose Big City Tattoo Studio on Girard Ave, had everything done with no problem and for less than half the price!! So thank you! We will never come here again or recommend.

Experiencia positiva: It isn’t my first time getting a piercing. This place is okay… I wouldn’t say it’s the best to go. I had to wait extra time from my original appointment when the piercer was at lunch or something. It’s like that time wasn’t a matter. She walked up the stairs to the piercing area nonchalantly, as if time doesn’t even matter to her. This wouldn’t have happened if I decided to get it done at my original piercer. I recommend just making an appointment at Infinite instead of here.

Experiencia negativa: I went in to buy jewelry as well as get jewelry put in for an existing piercing. The piercer Ursula was extremely rude and did not greet me. The price of the jewelry was expensive for something that looks so cheap. I also did not get the option to choose what I wanted. The packaging looked disgusting and when I asked for a different one she had an attitude. She tried charging me $60+ to get jewelry put in an existing piercing. This place does not have a great piercing policy and I would not suggest it. I called Infinite piercing and they were a lot nicer on the phone. So if you’re looking to change a piercing I would go there!

Experiencia negativa: I went in to check if my nose piercing had closed after the jewelry had fallen out the day prior. They charged $25 to check if the piercing had closed and when it was clear it had, they didn't offer me any credit towards a future re-piercing. Little frustrated on the charge prior to checking if the piercing had even filled.

The quickest piercing I ever received! I stood there most of the day for my cousin to get a tattoo (which turned out BEAUTIFULLY! Sam is very professional, precise and compassionate when she is working with clients. Her technique is well honed and she always makes her clients feel comfortable while she works. As someone who has seen multiple piercers Sam’s work in minimally painful and always spot on. She’s the only one I trust with my body modification!

Experiencia negativa: I'm going to keep this short-I would never recommend this place to any of my friends. It was a 25 minute+ wait to even speak to a knowledgeable staff member with what I was hoping to get taken care of. I chose to leave then after a staff member then laughed at me.

Experiencia positiva: Previous experience was awesome. Today, not so much. We drove 2 hours to get some piercings and couldn't do it because a digital ID with additional hard copy second ID was not enough. Make sure you have hard copies of everything before entering. #totallybummed

The piercer who did my piercing was very friendly and knows what they're doing. It's been a week and so far no complications from the piercing. Update: It's been months and I had zero issues with the septum piercing I received.

Experiencia fantástica: Called early to make an appointment and was seen the same day. Nice enough to squeeze me in unlike other places and didn’t push me off to website. Staff was friendly and greeted me upon arrival. Was looking to get 2 new piercings on one ear but unsure where to fit them. Luis was my piercer. He was amazing. He spent time working with me, figuring out where we could place the earrings- even pulled out his phone, took a pic of my ear and used markup to show me exactly where we could fit them. Walked me thru choosing 2 beautiful pieces of jewelry that would compliment each other since they lay close together. Talked me thru the whole piercing process and made me feel comfortable. The space was super clean and he took all precautions with instruments and jewelry. Wonderful guy and very knowledgeable. Definitely going back for more once I’m healed up!

Experiencia positiva: i was pierced by luis, and he was very professional had a lot of information but was so stressed by his job he took offense to a very light joke. if youre getting pierced for the first time i would not go to him. not very personable at all.

Experiencia fantástica: I had the best piercing experience here. I hadn’t made an appointment, as I didn’t see that I needed to make one on their website (turns out you do), but my piercer, Luis, took me anyways which was incredible because I came from Fishtown down to this location specifically. Luis was SO friendly and knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable, and kept me informed every step during my septum piercing. The studio was very clean and I had an easy-in easy-out experience. My piercing was also done very well, didn’t hurt at all, which means the “sweet spot” was achieved, which is crucial for a septum piercing. Really wonderful experience through and through!

Few times I had to stop her because of the pain from the tattooing, but she was very patient and gracious.
