I came in with some poorly done finger tattoos I had gotten just 3–4 weeks prior, they looked like messy, amateur work, and the ink had already faded in patches. I really needed them fixed, and since I’d previously gotten piercings here with an amazing experience, I decided to give this place a shot for my tattoos. I was nervous, worried I might be wasting my money again, but Andy took on the challenge, and the results are absolutely stunning! He completely transformed my tattoos, and I couldn’t be happier. My fingers look incredible, and I no longer feel the need to hide them. Andy’s attention to detail, precise line work, and focus on making sure you’re comfortable throughout the process are truly exceptional. I highly recommend him! I’m sure every artist here is talented, but my experience with Andy was nothing short of amazing. Thank you so much for saving my fingers!

Experiencia negativa: I went in 8 months ago for 3 piercings (2 lobes and a conch). The appointment went fine, the piercings were okay but there was a ton of swelling that I normally don’t have. We put hoops in and I was reassured that they would heal fine. They are still not healed. I’ve called 3 separate times within the last two months to try to get an appointment to have the jewelry swapped out for studs and every single time I call they are rude and not helpful. One time I was literally hung up on. I will never go back, and now I have to find a new place who will help swap my jewelry.

Experiencia fantástica: After 5 yesrs of a mental health milestone, i decided to get a tattoo for the 1st time. It took me a long time to come up with what i wanted. I am a former self harmer. Most of the other tattoo shops mafee feel awkward for this situation. One was outright rude about it , saying there was no place to tattoo. Meanwhile, this shop mamaged to find a spot on my right arm. They also listened to my story from start to finish . I overmoisturized like a rookie lol. When it was safe/feasible to do so, they touched it up and refused to charge me. Lol. I saw Andy. He was extremely understanding of my first timer fear. He was also very encouraging and praised me the whole time for generally sitting as still as possible. and how important it was to tell him if i needed a break.

So delicate and Intricate, I couldn't be happier. Rock was incredible to work with, very attentive and understanding and quick to respond with any questions I had. The team at MM are genuine real salt of the earth kind of people who appreciate your canvas as much as you appreciate their art. I started getting tattoos at MM back in 2016 and they are as vibrant and perfect as they were done. The artist educates you in the care of your tattoo and always reminds you that AFTER you heal, touch ups may be necessary and to simply schedule those at your convenience for free . Getting tattoos takes patience and commitment. Since 2016, most of my back, both shoulders, my chest and my full right arm is now covered. I LOVE THEM!!! My most recent is from 2021 which I will show in pictures and look at how colorful and vibrant they remain. I took care of them and touchups were NOT needed. I won’t name the specific artist because he knows who he is BUT from the tattoos to piercings, this team in its entirety is amazing and on their A-game. All of these talented artists deserve a mention by name and respect for their commitment to giving you the best commemoration one could possibly want. My last one, was a design my artist came up with to memorialize my late husband. I will not go anywhere else unless I move away. These are my people, my artists, my place to go. Thank you MM!

Experiencia fantástica: I should have done this way sooner, but better late than never. Last year I came to this shop and scheduled work with Kris. When I came into the shop, immediately I got a chill and laid back vibe, which is the perfect place to have work done. I came in to show Kris what I wanted, and told him to do it in his style. I got a Seraphim angel done in the center of my chest and it was perfect! During our session, Kris made sure that I was comfortable, and provided excellent service throughout my entire time there. After he finished my tattoo, he gave a great after care kit, and I was off. Kris was clean, professional and overall a great guy to talk to. Kris’ corner of the shop had awesome decor and was tidy. Haven’t been able to come back due to finances last year, but I will be returning this year. Highly recommend Kris and Mellow Madness!

Experiencia fantástica: I went to another place a week prior for my nose and lip piercings and all piercings fell out the same day. Marlo has done my piercings before and was exceptional then and now. She’s VERY sanitary, kind, patient. NO ONE but her will do my piercings!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Disappointed. I took my infant daughter here to get her ears pierced. I called this place a week ago and asked if they do infant piercings and the woman on the phone said yes but they have to be 6 months and I said great! My daughter is 7 months. So I scheduled her appointment for Aug 28th (today). When I arrive with my daughter in her stroller. The receptionist/piercer/tattoo artist sat behind the corner and watched me struggle to bring my stroller in which is fine I guess. I didn’t receive help and she didn’t greet me but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. But she then tells me I got my date wrong and my appointment is for tomorrow so I look at my phone and I see I wrote the appointment down for today. Fine, sure, one of us made a mistake. Once again, not a dealbreaker. She said she could do it now since I’m here. Then the actual appointment started and the piercer couldn’t care less. I told her I brought my own earrings and she was like well we sell cadmium and nickel free jewelry but it’s your kid you can do what you want. Her bedside manner was horrendous. My daughter wasn’t screaming or crying but she WAS looking all around but once again, she’s 7 months old and the piercer just looked annoyed AF and was like I won’t be able to pierce her if you don’t hold her down. So I held my baby’s face while she pierced her. She was like a he’s screaming and kicking (after the piercing happened). Yes, she’s a BABY. She just seemed annoyed she had to deal with us, like she didn’t want to be there. Which is a shame as I was so excited for my baby’s first piercing that I would’ve bought anything she was selling. I also was interested in getting tattoos with my husband, but the piercers attitude was so off putting, I don’t want to go back and check out what the tattooers in the shop can do. It also amused me then when I left there weee 3 clients in the waiting area and she made sure to hold the door open for me and tell me thank you but when I came in sat there and watched me struggle. #phony. Two stars- one the shop is really nice. Two- one of the tattooers who was tattooing a guy when I came in seemed like a nice guy to HIS client. Wish I had him as a piercer. PS- don’t cater to an age of a client that annoys you. If you don’t like babies, don’t Pierce babies ears.

Experiencia negativa: This is the first bad review I ever wrote in my life. It's not to give anyone a bad rep or bash anyone but I dont want someone getting stuck with something they might regret for the rest of their lives. I got a tatto from Liz which is a relatively big piece covering most of my upper arm. She finished it from sketch to done in about 2 hours and then proceeded to charge me $450. There's unnecessary lines in the tattoo that don't make sense. All in all I felt I was rushed and she might have not been in the best state to tattoo this piece. She said to go back for a touch up in a few weeks but I cant really trust her with that.

Pierced my friend's septum crooked too. Do not get pierced here. I know at least 3 people who have had more advanced piercings (septum, lip, eyebrow) done at Mellow Madness and none are satisfied

Now, since she wants to add in erroneous details, I'm going to have to leave a negative review. Before, I was just disappointed, but since since you want to get cute with the details, I'm going to have to let the people know. Never, not once, did I ever state or imply I was a Social Media Mom, where did you get that from? I asked could I film the experience so I could share it with her grandparents? When it quickly became apparent that my child was too wiggly I put my phone away and held her down. I only took out my phone once more because I thought putting on Ms. Rachel would calm her a bit, and it did and then it didn't. You could've told me to come back tomorrow at my original appointment date (so you say). I have it written down as Monday the 28th in all of my appointment books. That wasn't a dealbreaker, but since you want to act like you were doing me a favor. Let's define what a 'favor' means shall we? A favor is doing an act of kindness beyond what is due. You did NOT do me a favor, you provided me with a service that one of us got the date wrong for. I didn't assist you in helping you hold her still? Lady, are you kidding? So I didn't hold her down for you? We're just going to pretend that didn't happen? How were her ears pierced, cause you sure didn't help. You are correct, the parents job is to parent, but as a service provider you offer no words of encouragement or anything. Nothing. Terrible bedside manner. That was my first time in a tattoo parlor and I had so many questions and was just looking for someone who could help relax my emotions not heighten them. What if I were getting a tattoo (as a grown adult woman), would you come after me for being wiggly in the chair and be like "well... you should know better, you signed up for this." What kind of attitude is that? If you want to have and maintain customers, you should really evaluate your bedside manner.

Experiencia negativa: My partner and I came in around November 2022 to do an tattoo, We gladly paid a deposit a week in advance for a particular tattoo, coming into the appointment, the artist (review will be updated when we figure out his name again) was very dismissive and rude, and seemed rushed (more on that later)... My partner expressed concern, as they have a medical condition tied to pain, and just asked the tattoo artist to go easy, and had no issues, and just had to take a short break. The tattoo artist was extremely rude and made quips about pain tolerance. Throughout tattooing my partner raised concerns about patchy areas, and color. These were dismissed out of hand. "It's just shading" the artist insisted (He asked specifically for solid color for the entire tattoo) and when the tattoo gun water dipping tray started turning redder than expected, (this would be my partner's fifth tattoo) once again, we were dismissed out of hand that it was just orange pigment from the tattoo gun (He hadn't gotten to color yet). All in all, not a fantastic experience, And then the quality of the tattoo came more and more apparent as it healed As pictured below, the tattoo is quickly fading only months later, there are distinct lines and spots with no color whatsoever, and the black outline is shaky and not very solid, and if you look closely, he couldn't even keep inside the lines at the bottom of the tattoo. This tattoo was a copy / redo same design on the other arm, that is planned to cover up the original So, now we not only need a cover-up of the original (which was already planned) we also need a touch-up. Honestly, I couldn't even imagine going back in for a free touch-up, let alone another tattoo.

Experiencia fantástica: We were traveling from out of town to Rochester and worked with Range via email to get a tattoo. A bad storm came in the day before our appointment, and he came in early to reschedule our tattoo! It was a great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: I went in to get a Friday the 13th flash tattoo. Everyone was super nice and the place was clean. I got paired up with Spenny Turbo as my artist. Dude was super chill and he took his time with placement and the piece itself. It was super busy so the fact he took his time with the entire process meant a lot. I highly recommend him as an artist! For sure going to him for my next piece

Experiencia positiva: My husband and I paid Spenny the $200 deposit to book Sunday, January 8th all day. We were both going to be getting tattoos. Spenny seemed really cool and excited about what we wanted. We booked several weeks in advance, and then the night before, Saturday the 7th, he cancelled on us saying he was extremely ill. My husband and I are pretty understanding people, so while we were disappointed, we had no issues with having to reschedule. Spenny asked that we give him a few days and he'd get back to us. By Tuesday we hadn't heard anything, so we reached out to him to discuss his availability. By Friday the 13th, he still hadn't responded to either of us. I called the shop this afternoon after they opened, and was told that he was actually there tattooing today. While we're glad to hear he's feeling better, we didn't appreciate the lack of communication so I asked that we get a full refund of our deposit and he did provide it.

Experiencia positiva: You could do far worse than this place. Everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout my piercing process. However, the placement of my double nostril hoop piercing ended up being off of what I was hoping for. After a few months of healing issues & generally not being too happy with it, I ended up getting a second opinion. I found out the piercings were definitely misplaced and will need to be taken out and redone for optimal results. This being said, the piercings didn’t look too bad, the prices were good, everything was sterile & of good materials, and Marli (the piercer) was very approachable and helpful. I really did enjoy working with her through the process and think overall she’s talented at what she does. I’d just recommend going elsewhere for piercings if you want a specific style or a more complicated piercing than something like a septum or ears. I ended up going to Dorje Adornments to redo mine, and while they’re difficult to get in with I was much happier with both the jewelry options and results. No idea how their tattoos are but I’d be inclined to think they’re good. I did really enjoy working with this place though I wish I had better results for my piercings.

He worked with us and both of our tattoos came out perfect, exactly what we wanted. His station was very clean as well. Plus he was friendly and fun to chat with, I’ll definitely come back here!

He takes extreme measures to make sure every tool is clean and covered properly. He is an amazing artist, and clearly cares about each client. By far the best I’ve been. I will most certainly continue going to Spenny for any tattoos I get in the future. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him.

Experiencia positiva: I absolutely adore Marley. She’s wonderful and I’ve gotten nearly all my piercings done by her. She really is super patient and kind. I also got my first tattoo done here. It was..a awful experience. Spenny had been given references of what I had wanted done and was unable to do it. I ended up drawing my own version which was meant to be a reference for him, which he just ended up copying completely. In the end, my tattoo would’ve been fine had it not ended up being blown out in some areas. Trying to contact him is IMPOSSIBLE. I tried to contact him to touch up the tattoo and just gave up because he would never reply. This place is okay overall! Just don’t go to Spenny.

Experiencia fantástica: The best piercing place! The piercer is very kind and patient. She did my bridge & septum piercing very professionally and well. The atmosphere of the place is very comforting and I'm normally a very anxious person in general. She explained aftercare well and worked well with me on what I needed. Will definitely come back for other piercings if needed! :)

Experiencia negativa: Just called to ask some questions for my daughter she wants her septum pierced-They could not answer basic questions like how old do you have to be do you have to have identification they could not answer anything so we will be going somewhere else

Experiencia fantástica: Great tattoo parlor! My husband and I have had several tattoos from Chuck Deluxe and couldn't be happier with his work! He also did an AMAZING cover up on my husband's forearm. Turned an old school Pegasus into a dragon and you can't tell it is a cover up at all. Highly recommend to everyone!

She was clean, efficient, measured my ear for proper placement (Ive never had that happen and I have a lot of holes). She emailed me aftercare which, in following I noticed I healed significantly faster than normal. I will be back when I need puncturing.

Loved the whole experience- clean with a comfortable and cool atmosphere with complete professionalism from all staff! Spenny was quick, thoughtful, and just a totally baller artist- I absolutely love these new pieces. Could not have asked for a better experience! 10/10 for tattoos, 100/10 for Spenny
