Experiencia fantástica: Best tattoo shop in town. I have been tattooed by Jon several times and my kids have all been tattooed by other artists there as well and we have no complaints. Everyone here is awesome!!! All of the staff is friendly and helpful.

Experiencia negativa: I wouldn’t even give this place a 1 star but unfortunately you have to to make a review I went to Jon to get a waist tattoo the outline looked fantastic until he said he was gonna start shading I absolutely HATE the tattoo I received from this place and i now have to pay 700 to get it fixed. The second one was the reference and i received a thick tattoo with not the matching decline. Never again will i step foot in this place!

Experiencia fantástica: I came in here not really knowing what tattoo I wanted except for some style ideas and way too many facets. Deuce worked with me on narrowing my parameters and got me to go back to the drawing board. The tattoo we finally came up with looks really awesome and incorporates many of the aspects I originally wanted. Being my first tattoo at 44, I was decidedly nervous but Deuce was super professional and explained every part of the process quite well. His line work was amazing and the finished product is well above my expectations. Would definitely return for more when I'm in the area.

Experiencia negativa: Didn’t have the best experience- brought my son in for double lip piercing in last weekend and he was pierced with a 14G short bar - it was starting to get embedded. So went back today to have a longer bar put in and they put a 18G bar in. Will be taking him to another shop tomorrow for a professional second opinion. For $180 definitely not happy - in response to the “owners review” I guess u got an amazing tip for subpar piercing. Also do u normally keep 16g bars in a 18g bag? They are definitely 18g. Why would you replace a one week old piercings bar with a smaller size when u pierced it with a 14g? Please make that make sense.

Experiencia fantástica: Dude my daith jewelry was darn near embedded in my ear (which hurt worse than unmedicated child birth) and Adam helped me. Yes it was a bit painful however we was as gentle as possible. He was very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and his prices were very very fair. Adam you ROCK and I hope to come in for a piercing sometime when I am back in town. Thank you so very much!

Experiencia negativa: Went in for a walk in tattoo needing a touch up as there were a few mistakes I wanted refined ..naturally reached out and offered to pay for said touch up. The artist comes back and says yeah let's get you scheduled for your next tattoo and then we will touch up in the mean time. I don't want another tattoo, I wanted a complete one. I reached out to the shop asking if anyone can touch up because I'm not going in for another tattoo just for him to screw that one up and elicit a cycle. Has the shop reached back out? NOPE! Customer service is on the bottom of the list which let's be honest it's a tattoo shop with an old school mentatily as most clients are one time. However were in a new world in 2025 and to be ghosted yet be rated as a good tattoo shop? Very misleading and plan false as this is not the best and or a good shop. There are so many amazing shops in reno DO GO TO EVOLUTION TATTOO. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE WALKING IN. I truly wish I did more research rather than skimming and trusting huge lessom learned. Thanks for completly disregarding me I will be going to another shop to fix your crappy mistakes ...to your response i absolutely got it at your shop and resent the implications that I was mistaken I have the photos and the receipts I was trying not to throw the artist under the bus but since your ignorant reply the artist was Danny

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed… went here to get my nose piercing fixed and the piercer said she could. And put in longer jewelry well it popped out the day after. Waited until I got home and went to another place come to find out you put the same size as the first and it never went all the way through my nose you had it sitting in my nose membrane…. So paid money for a bad piercing. Thanks…

My piercing has drastically healed and I heavily appreciate the service. Moral of the story, don’t cheat on your piercers! & book with adam he knows what he’s doing

Experiencia fantástica: Today I walked into Evolution to get longer bars for my piercings and the gentlemen in the piercing studio were amazing. They got me in the chair IMMEDIATELY. I was on the verge of tears because I was so stressed out and they had nothing but kindness and empathy for my situation. To be clear: Evolution did not mess up my initial piercing. Another shop did. I felt safe, clean, and comfortable in their studio and I even had a lovely chat with one of their tattoo artists, Johnny. I will be coming back here again for piercings and tats after my wonderful experience today. Thank you Evolution! Can’t wait to see y’all again under better circumstances!!!

Experiencia negativa: I got pierced by Kayla on Tuesday this last week. I was super uncomfortable with how nonchalant she was when it came down to safety and cleanliness. My conch piercing was extremely misplaced and infected. I took it out immediately once I started to get a fever, redness and swelling. Even had to get antibiotics from my doctor. I should have listened to my gut when it told me to leave. I had felt safe due to the fact that her Instagram profile says she is a “professional piercer” and an “extreme body modifier”. How hard could a conch piercing be with that much experience?..

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to Evolution since 2020 off the recommendation of a friend – specifically to see Johnny – and I've been happy with the shop every time. There is art all over the walls, if you're looking for inspiration, or you can consult with an artist with pretty flexible hours. I've gone in with exact design ideas and they were translated perfectly, and I've come in with an abstract thought of what I was looking for and the end result could not have been closer to my vision. I would highly recommend this shop!

Experiencia fantástica: Rarely do I take the time to write a review, but for this place I will. And in particular, for Danny Galecki’s art. I have four extremely intricate, elegant, and badass tattoos done by him. I was beyond impressed by my first experience with Danny. He actually took the time to get to know me and understand me FIRST to further his knowledge in the kind of piece I wanted. Nothing about it was rushed, which, who wants an artist who is just trying to rush through a tattoo? I am still in awe at how Danny took the time to understand me first before he went to work on creating the piece. I think by him taking the time and effort to do this is what has made my tattoos perfect (to me.) time after time, I come in with an idea of what I wanted, and Danny FAR EXCEEDS any expectation of what I had envisioned. This right here, is the work of a true master. The tattoos he’s done on me flow perfectly with my body and I am always open to his suggestions and touches. I believe it is really important to trust your artist, and I 100% trust Danny’s intuition and eye. I’m amazed, actually. The whole staff that I have encountered has also been very helpful and friendly. This is a gem of a spot. If you’re considering putting something on your body for the rest of your life - this is the place. And Danny is your guy.

Experiencia positiva: I’ve gotten tattoo’d from this shop before and had a fantastic experience the first time. The reason for the 3 stars is because of my most recent experience. I had called a few days in advance and booked an appointment for my friend and I to get matching tattoos, before she moves out of town, but an hour before our scheduled appointment I get a text from the artist telling me she had double booked herself and had to cancel. I understand double bookings happen… I am just super disappointed that we weren’t notified sooner. The artist did offer to reschedule but none of the times she had worked for us and when I called the shop to reschedule with a different artist for the following weekend, they didn’t have anything available. It was just a bit frustrating. But definitely a beautiful shop and very talented artist for sure!!

They made me feel very comfortable and safe, even when I was nervous. I loved how detail focused they were, it was easy to tell I was in good hands. Experiencia negativa: I got pierced by Adam and my piercing got severely infected , I ended up needing an IV of antibiotics. I’m a dental student so I am very aware of sterilization and antisepsis . I immediately recognized how he did not have jewelry sterilized in a package yet his tool and needle was in a pouch. The bib below the jewelry was clearly soaked in what appeared to be some kind of disinfectant and at no point did it come out of a sterile pouch . I decided to check his instagram where he clearly was doing the same thing over and over . This guy does not sterilize jewelry and thinks nobody will know the difference. I reported this shop to the health department with several photo evidence straight from his instagram . Notice how the jewelry is just sitting in a puddle and not in a pouch . He literally pulled it out a box and just sprayed it down I SAW it.

Experiencia fantástica: Got my first tattoo at Evolution done by Hernan 10/10 would recommend, called for an appointment they were nice over the phone and got my appointment booked quick for the day I wanted. I got a cross with wings on my upper left chest, Hernan is super cool and did amazing work, got the design and placement perfect first try and done at a great price. Didn’t take long and came out amazing I love it. Good shading amazing design and perfect placement. I am definitely going back again in the future to get more work done!

Experiencia fantástica: Hiernan (sp?) is a G. Had a walk-in appointment for my first tattoo. He printed out my reference picture (an album cover drawn by my favorite artist) and drew the stencil - his interpretation was actually prettier than the original! He got to tattooing, and it only took an hour and a half and cost about $150 ($200 after tip). He was calm, quiet, and considerate during the process. He gave me time to get up, get water, etc, which helped immensely. It healed fantastically - its a very vibrant piece and it still looks phenomenal two months later. I get constant compliments about it. If you want professionalism, kindness, and pure talent, book him. He'll do you right.

Experiencia negativa: My girlfriend made an appointment a week in advance for matching tattoos with photos provided for 3pm when I came to visit from out of town. When we arrived DANNY told us we would need to wait 20 minutes or so for him to finish another tattoo. After 45 minutes we asked where he was and were told it would be another 20 minutes. At 430pm he finally came in and had no clue what we wanted. Stencils were rushed and they didn't match, which we found out after the tattoo.. awesome. Now after its all "healed" my ink has fallen out of over 50% of the tattoo. Granted it's a small tattoo behind my ear, but it looks really bad now. My girlfriends tattoo has scarred over and is bumpy. She and I have plenty of experience with being tattooed and the healing process, I can promise you it's got nothing to do with that side of things just to cover those bases ahead of time. We will be getting it removed and redone by a better artist elsewhere that can handle time management and appointments.

Experiencia negativa: I like the people that work at this shop and I have gotten a tattoo that I'm very happy with here. Unfortunately, their piercer pierced my nipples incorrectly. They were incorrectly angled, too shallow, utilized externally threaded jewelry, and used a barbell that was too short for my anatomy. I only found out once I had another piercer take them out after complications with the piercing some time later. The piercer was very professional during my piercing, however I would not recommend coming here for piercings. Especially a nipple piercing.

I think I was so in shock from getting a needle through my nose that I forgot to ask a few questions about aftercare. She gave me a sticker with her Instagram on it and I had to ask her stuff later and she was super cool about it! The vibe is cool in there.

When I saw Evolution pop up I went to check their website and reviews out ,saw a bunch of good reviews and their pictures of the work they have done and decided to give them a shot . I went in at first to get an estimate and told the artist I saw what I wanted . Everyone there seemed really friendly ,great atmosphere to be round . I got an appointment in quick . Came in tonight ,she got me all setup and ready to go in minutes. It took her about 12-15 min to get all of it done ofc mine was a small tattoo too ,but yeah she was so friendly/Professional and quick about it . She did such an amazing job for sure I am already loving it a lot . Price is pretty fair too, Shout out to Mary on this one!!!! Will definitely come back and for any future tattoos .

The artist we had was a very warm and funny guy, making the experience that much better. I lost his business card but I think his name was Ron?? Sorry if I got it wrong. I have several other tattoos from various shops, and I can say my experience here was one of the best.

Experiencia fantástica: My self and my family have seen Adam multiple times , he is absolutely amazing. He is kind, funny and always makes us feel like were family . We have celebrated many occasions with piercing's from him, I have spent my 11 year wedding anniversary with him, my daughters birthday , and celebrating good grades ( we love piercings) every time we sit in his chair is the best time. He was absolutely wonderful with my daughter for her first piercing, he made her feel safe heard and took his time as she a tad nervous. I know He sees so many clients and at some point the faces probably blend together but I am thankful for Adam and in a weird way it is now our tradition to spend special occasions seeing him, and honestly I don't regret such a great guy being a part of our special times we will be back :)

Experiencia fantástica: I have been getting pierced by Adam since 2018, out of 13 piercings I have, he has done 12. I will literally never go anywhere else to get pierced but Adam. He is professional he is courteous, and he does it right. My first nose piercing was atrocious and took a long time to heal, that is the only piercing he hasn't done on me. Every other piercing has healed faster than anticipated as well as been exactly what I wanted. I have also received a tattoo by Mary and it is one of my favorites. This entire establishment as well as the piercers/tatters are the best. Highly recommend.
