Great dude, highly talented and a top artist in his field….I’m happy to call him a friend. The entire staff at the shop is great, very courteous and clean. You’ll see why it’s one of the truly iconic parlors in Texas.

Experiencia fantástica: We went on February Friday the 13th to get our special for Friday the 13th for $13 +7 dollar tip which is $20 total to get we were in line like 1140pm and they got us in at 11:50 or 1153 they still let us all geta tattoo and they were very quick professionals with and I love it.

Experiencia fantástica: So happy I walked in here on a whim on a random Tuesday! Was greeted immediately by one of the artists and gave her a brief run down of what I wanted. She hooked me up with Lindsey and he was able to sketch up exactly what I wanted with basically nothing more than the corner of a picture I had for inspiration. The piece I wanted was higher up on my thigh and Lindsey was kind, respectful and communicated clearly on where he was touching me and why. Love my new work and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Will definitely be using him again in the future.

Every single tattooer who has seen it comments, “That's sick. Who did that?” Then parades me around the shop showing all the younger artists and apprentices David’s work, saying, that's how shit should look. I'm up to 11 tattoos now, caught the tattoo bug but David’s piece will always be my favorite. Nash is a hell of an artist, a tattooer's tattooer. Next time I’m back in Dallas I’ll definitely be back. Experiencia negativa: over a period of 2 years I got 6 tattoos at Elm Street. In the six years following I have had to get every single one covered. They have blown out, faded immensely, or in looking back have terrible line work and execution. Every artist in Dallas I have gone to since has said multiple clients come in looking for reworks or full coverups of elm streets work. I wish I could go back in time and tell younger me there are better studios, Better artists, and better ink to put on my skin

Experiencia fantástica: My girl had an appointment with Oliver, she had been waiting for months to go. I just walked in with her, and had no plans on getting anything done that day. It was early and I was a walk in, so I didn't expect to get much more than some flash. I told the wonderful counter girl what I was interested in and Austin came out. He took my idea, drew something out on the spot and slapped in on me in no time, and honestly, it was the easiest tattoo I ever got, like I was ready to nap during the outline. It is excellent artwork and I would absolutely go back the next time I am in Texas.

Experiencia fantástica: I was in town visiting family, and I was just trying to find a spot that was close to me and did good work… It was surprising how many shops made it difficult to figure out where they were located, how to get an appointment, and just the basics on designs/walk-in info and the artists. That was not the case with Elm Street tattoo. They do it all and they do it. Well, there’s nothing better than an established shop that offers a good service. Was able to walk in after calling ahead, and David handled the design I wanted quickly and professionally. Super refreshing, highly recommend.

Experiencia negativa: Just don’t go here unless you really know someone that works there well. I went here when I was 19 for my first tattoos. The artist was rude and mean. My tattoos are badly done and I’m embarrassed to show anyone. Anyone that sees them says they just don’t look good at all. I don’t want to our the artist but he seemed as if he didn’t want to be there and made rude comments to me. The charged me an insane amount at the end. At the time I had no clue how to tip a tattoo artist so I tipped way heavier than I should’ve…. But he still wasn’t nice at all. Lesson learned! That was years ago now when I didn’t have a backbone. I hate writing poor reviews but I went to this shop because of its popularity thinking it was the best place to go at the time.

A large group of the concert goers wanted to get tattoos to commemorate the band returning. Elm knocked it out of the park for us. Their artists drew up flash a few days before and made time for all of us the day of the concert (both before and after). I will recommend this shop to anyone. They handled such a large request with kindness, patience, and professionalism. Not to mention the flash art they drew up was awesome! I will definitely be hitting them up again next time I’m in Dallas!

Experiencia negativa: I came in and asked for advice on an artist for a tattoo. They recommended David Nash and I reviewed some of his artwork and I was ok with it. I gave him a budget of $1000-$2000 for a tattoo that I anticipated would be a big chunk of my arm. When we met, he didn’t really have any original designs. He mostly printed images like flash art off of the computer. The tattoo was supposed to be black and grey in the background with a lot of color art in the foreground. He was aware of my budget but made a lot of suggestions on placement which made the tattoo area bigger. Personally, I don’t watch as the tattoo is going on my skin. I don’t mind the feeling but I don’t want to watch it. After a few hours, I looked down and all of the areas that should be color were completely blackened. He talked a lot about how he doesn’t care about what he is tattooing and that he just wants the money, which was very disappointing. After about 6 hours we stopped and he said the next session would be in 2 weeks. I started looking at what he had completed at home and found 6 obvious mistakes already. I sent him some additional images and he never replied to my emails for the 2nd session. I’ve now been to another tattoo shop. It’s going to costs me about $4000-$5000 to complete the tattoo because he spread the elements so far apart. He doesn’t care about the customer or the artwork. He only wants your money and he isn’t even trying very hard to get that, since he doesn’t schedule follow up appointments. Pretty crummy experience and not what I expected considering how busy this shop was when I walked in

We have had our eye on this place and the artist, Shane Vick, for a while. We got there on a Saturday at noon for walk-in appointments and were able to get in and out by 4:45pm for both of our pieces. The shop (& bathroom- important for us ladies) were clean and everyone was so friendly & welcoming. Our artist, Shane is respectful, personable, genuinely nice and of course a well versed and talented artist. When it comes to experiences like this it's not just about the final tattoo outcome but the entire experience. We will definitely be returning in the future for more pieces and would recommend this shop to anyone wanting an american traditional tattoo, they know their stuff!

My husband and I popped in for a walk-in last week (knowing we were walking into a famous shop- yeah boiiii, it’s Oliver Peck!) and their shop’s high reputation is that for a reason. Our artists (Carlos Gonzales and Rodrigo Canteras) were professional, clean, down to earth, exceptional at their craft and hands down da bomb. I got a black and grey peony on my arm and the line work and shading are MINT. I’m so happy. And Dan’s seraphim is absolutely gorgeous. Ashley at the desk was super sweet and patient with us, too! Experiencia negativa: This review is a bit overdue. I went in with my siblings to get matching tattoos. Our tattoos are all similar in size but some are clearly crooked and others darker than others where we were looking for moreso a micro-tattoo experience. We were given different tattoo artists which is also probably why each one of our tattoos look different. My tattoo artist specifically seemed to be 'out for blood' after I told him it was my first tattoo. I'd probably check another place first in the future.

Lindsey, David, Shane, Jacob, Rodrigo, and the rest of the artists are amazing people! All the art in the photo was done by Lindsey Carmichael, I highly recommend getting tattooed by him.

Experiencia fantástica: Went in for Friday the 13th tats while i was in town for work and loved it so much went back and met my now favorite artist for when I'm in town. Carlos was awesome and modified what I wanted to finish my good and evil tattoos on my forearms. This shop is amazing.

Experiencia fantástica: Went here for the friday the 13th! Next one is in December! If you're going for the 13th again, I'd advise you to go on their website and make an appointment for a time slot. You can get in and out in minutes. Also bring cash! So far as I know they don't do cards.

Experiencia fantástica: They make Friday the 13th so much fun! I’ve gone 2 years in a row since moving to Dallas and I always look forward to it. Dylan was super sweet and managed to keep me occupied so I barely felt a thing, he didn’t make it feel rushed even though I’m sure they feel overwhelmed with a line around the building. These guys don’t have to put this on like they do every year but they still do it for us and I honestly appreciate that. Thanks for another fun Friday the 13th!
