Experiencia fantástica: Brent and Jenny were so helpful and amazing in helping my sister and I design a tattoo in memory of the passing of our younger brother. It is absolutely beautiful and I think my brother would love it! I can't thank them enough for the care and time they took to make sure we got something perfect and well done. Brent did both tattoos.

Since coming here I’ve had a number of tattoos and fixes to old tattoos by Kristin, who is the best artist I’ve ever worked with. She’s creative and great at making ideas come to life. I’m never worried about leaving with a bad tattoo. 10/10 will be going back.

Experiencia fantástica: If I could choose 10 ⭐️, I would. Cap’n Morgan had a long session with my husband, finished earlier than expected so he took me right after (small 15-20 min session). Morgan has an amazing personality with an even better talent! Will def not feel like a stranger around him. The front receptionist was awesome too (did not get her name though - so whoever worked Friday 9/12, evening - you rock too!)

The tattoos are black , bold and blazing . They are of the highest caliber. He has 35 years as a working tattoo artist . The Black Lotus is a clean , professional setting with a great vibe .

Experiencia negativa: This is definitely not everyone in the shop first of all. I want to clarify that! There are some great people here, so I don't want to attack anyone personally, just give an honest review of my experiences. But my few experiences with this shop were pretty bad and I want to warn anyone who is seeking their services to please do your research and be incredibly careful picking an artist/piercer. My one and only tattoo here was messed up. I spoke to the artist and the front desk person about this. It was met with being recommended to get laser removal... no refund of any type, not even sorry. I tried to get the benefit of the doubt, just assuming this isn't the place to get ink done, but possibly a piercing. I got my bridge done here. It never fully healed. I thought maybe it was my fault, took it out after several months and gave up. Decided this year I wanted to try again. I went to the beauty bar who told me over the phone they had someone available. They were quick to take my cash and let me sit in the lobby till saying "Oh, sorry we don't have someone in". Mind you, I called hours in advance and drove a good bit to get there. Then I went to Electric Panda in town where their piercer informed me whoever did it last at Black Lotus not only used the wrong jewelry but pierced it completely wrong. It is a wonder they let me walk out with a curved bar for a surface piercing obviously it wouldn't heal correctly. And surprise surprise, months later after Electric Panda did it-- it healed beautifully. Be VERY VERY careful if you want to visit this shop. They will screw up and shrug their shoulders.

John's tattoo artistry is impeccable, the place is welcoming, super-clean, professional and friendly. Their tattooists can do anything you want, even fixing bad tattoos that other places said weren't fixable (I saw one they did, none of mine need fixing!).

Experiencia fantástica: Harley was our tattoo artist and she is absolutely amazing! My husband and I got these matching tattoos 12 years ago and the color completely faded out on both of us. Harley completely reworked and recolored both tattoos. While they are pretty much the same, she made them more personalize for each of us. We are both extremely pleased with how they turned out and Harley’s skill! As an added bonus, she’s a super cool person! Definitely recommend Harley and her work!!! The pictures from left to right: My original tattoo from 22 years ago right after it was done. Then with the colored completely faded out right before it was redone. Then my completed tattoo after Harley was done redoing it. The other pic is my husbands completed, redone tattoo after Harley was finished.

Experiencia negativa: They were nice but we won’t go back, the skill set isn’t there for the artist we saw and the shop recommended her to us based off what we wanted. The shop knew exactly what we wanted and sent us to an artist that couldn’t do it. I wish the shop would have just been honest with us and said we can’t do fine line and recommend us an outside shop/artist that could. I made my tattoo removal appointment the same day we got the tattoos. Not to mention that I paid almost as much for 3 little tattoos as I did for speciality tattoo from a viral artist in Europe. This is the tattoo today, it’s less than 3 weeks old.

Experiencia fantástica: Harley is now our family tattoo artist. She has tattooed myself, my husband, and our daughter has an appointment in June with her. I had a tattoo that I wanted to love so she took the parts that I did love and redid them but added to it and it became a masterpiece in my eyes. She is the kind of artist that you can just run an idea by and she will just run with it and make it amazing. If you ever have had any tattoos done, most shops are a beehive of creativity and I love how other artists check out what's being done and make you feel like you are home. The shop is extremely clean but also very comfortable and amazingly cool. I can't recommend them enough and even though sharing how amazing of a place it is might help make them even busier, I can't be selfish and keep how great they all are to myself.

Her ability to capture the nerdy elements and her work with color is amazing. She is also the gentlest tattooer I have worked with. Definitely worth the trip to Columbus. Also, as a woman the shop itself is very welcoming and a comfortable environment I never once have felt uncomfortable or judged.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my daughter to have her ears pierced. She had them done back when she was younger but they continued to get infected. Thinking she may be allergic to nickel. We've heard nothing but great things about Black Lotus so today we got them pierced again. Dominique was so nice and explained everything every step and did an awesome job. Experiencia fantástica: Took my 13 year to get her ears pierced. She had it done when she was young but they had closed up. One of her holes was not originally done straight and it was always a challenge to put an earring in. She was able to see Jessica who did a phenomenal job! My daughter said she barely felt it. This piercing shop is separate from the tattoo shop. It’s so nice and clean. I would highly recommend it. I saw on the reviews, someone was angry that they went and weren’t told they needed their daughters birth certificate but I was told that when I called and they even said, it must be the original, not a copy. They answered any and all questions and we were told to please come back if we had any problems and to come back when we change her earrings the first time. Above and beyond! The ladies in there were sweet and made my daughter so comfortable.

Experiencia fantástica: In January I had my sleeve finished from years ago. I made an appointment the same day to get my other arm done and paid the $100 deposit and the appointment was set 2 or 3 weeks later. Less than a week later I found out through work I had a class I was required to attend the day I made that tattoo appointment for. I called to reschedule and instead of just getting my appointment moved back a week or two it was almost two months. I liked the artist and figured waiting the two months wasn't an issue and it would be worth the wait. Roughly four days before the appointment I received a text my appointment had been cancelled. I was told the artist would call me possibly to reschedule. They didn't. So I again called to setup another appointment. Instead of being put to the front of the line it was now another month and a half wait scheduled for the end of April. Again, I liked the artist and figured I would wait. In the beginning of April I received another text that appointment had also been cancelled. I called Black Lotus again and I was told I was a "no show" to my first appointment and would require a $200 deposit to reschedule this time. I screenshot the texts I had received and they told me "the artist will call you personally today to get this handled. Sorry for the inconvenience." It seemed sincere, but here I sit almost six months later, having not heard from the artist even once regarding the deposit I put back in January that I'm obviously not getting refunded. At a minimum an apology for continuously cancelling four months straight would have been nice. Hope your experience is better than mine. Update: they promptly resolved the issue. Much appreciated.

Experiencia fantástica: Kristin is the ABSOLUTE BEST! I've had about 10 sessions with her so far and she is amazing. My tattoos are great, she always make me feel the most comfortable, she works fast, super creative when given ideas of what you want, and not heavy handed. Her work speaks for itself, but I can tell you she's amazing. 10/10 every time.

Experiencia negativa: Called ahead the day before twice to confirm appt for my daughters ears pierced and assured there'd be no problems or delays, being her dad i wanted to make sure (reason for my second call), only to drive an hour to get there to be refused service with them stating only then that they required her birth certificate which no one mentioned in my two calls the day before for the lady at the register to simply repeat that she wasn't who i had spoke to in my previous conversations no apology, just the comment that someone should've told me. Left and had it done in Auburn with a different highly recommended shop.

Everyone was so professional and friendly and made me feel comfortable. My artist was Kristin and she was really nice. She made sure I was comfortable and pleased with my results. I was relaxed during our session. She gave me verbal and written tips for aftercare. I would definitely recommend her and Black Lotus Tattoo Gallery.

She was very helpful in explaining how the payment and tattoo/ appointment process works. The artist I used was “Stevo”. He works very hard to make the ideal and perfect art piece for you! He works well with his customers and responds to any questions or concerns you have. He made sure I was comfortable before, during and after the tattoo process. He allowed me to see what he drew, what the stencil looked like on me, and the tattoo as we progressed. AMAZING PLACE ! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

At 2:00 ok . 12:15 day of appointment artist text me he had booked wrong . Every time I go in to shop I’m told I should book a head So I did ! Now he cancels me ? I do not recommend this business artist name is Bobby . Like rest of world they work when they only want to John Allen

Experiencia fantástica: Went in to get a walk-in done on my sleeve (some filler spots to do), and not only were they super respectful about my last minute ambitions but from the get go, they just “got it”. They didn’t know, but we were gauging them to see if we wanted them to finish my wife’s right arm sleeve and start her left arm sleeve and man did they blow us away. They were; -incredible organized with scheduling -listened and from the get go, understand what we were wanting -unbelievable professional -made us instantly feel welcome -GREAT sense of humor (Morgan is hilarious) While standing there I got my text about my appointment and the lady at the desk didn’t want us to leave until she ensured we got our necessary appointment information. Left with sending them pictures for my wife’s left arm sleeve idea and was told “okay let me get with the artist (Morgan) and I will get back to u! Heard that before, but literally wasn’t 2 miles down the road when the lady at the desk called us back hahaha I was totally blow away! We will be here to stay and most likely will have them start my chest piece at some point as well! This business from the artist (Morgan) to the lady at the front, they just get what makes a business, the customer!!!!! Well done y’all!

Experiencia fantástica: Definitely plan on going back to Black Lotus. I got my nose pierced and a friend got her ears pierced. Isaac Waters did a great job. Both piercings turned out amazing. He made sure we were happy with placement before completing the piercings. It was fast, but not rushed. Everyone in the shop was super friendly. They also did a great job explaining after care.

Experiencia fantástica: Megan was awesome, however the girl that was upfront in the reception area on 8/27/22 night shift was not very helpful. I told her what two tattoos we was interested in getting and she only showed the artist one. Mind you she was upfront on her phone. By the time the artist got to us she was only aware of one tattoo and had the outline already drawn up for that one. Mind you while we was waiting on our artist there was other clients thats leaving out and got a have a good night from the reception lady and my husband and I got did we already pay??? Of course we paid! Thanks again Megan your great!

Experiencia fantástica: Got my first nose piercing as part of my birthday gift. Don’t know why it took me so long to get it but I’m glad I did and found this place based on the recommendation from my coworker. They were awesome and friendly! If you’re looking for something like this, I recommend Black Lotus! They care and make sure you get what you want! Definitely will come back again!

Experiencia fantástica: Best shop around, great customer service, and excellent artists. Got paired with captain morgan, and was not disappointed. He was playing great tunes, and through the process we talked the whole time about any number of subjects, which makes the time go by that much quicker. I already have my next two tattoo ideas, and will definitely be back, and will be asking for captain morgan.

Experiencia fantástica: I was already impressed with this place when I brought my daughter to get her ears pierced. I can’t remember the woman’s name, but she did such an amazing job with my daughter. She put on Disney music and explained everything to my daughter before she did anything. After my daughter’s ears healed, we changed out her earrings. Unfortunately the back came off and the one earring fell out in her sleep. I called Black Lotus, they told me to come in and they’d try to get it back in. I thought it was closed and wasn’t going to bother going in, but I’m glad I did. A different piercer was there and he did such an awesome job getting her earring back in. 1000% recommend Black Lotus!
