Experiencia fantástica: i have gotten 2 piercings here aswell as taking my boyfriend and we love it, its very quick and straight to the point. i will say the people arent really ones for small talk as in they arent going to seem super enthusiastic, its pay, pierce and go. but i have appreciated how quick and easy everything is here, no crazy line or ridiculous prices❤️

Experiencia negativa: Got a name tattooed on me a couple of years ago and every time I look at it i get pissed off bc of how UGLY it is. Ugh idk why I paid idk why I didn’t complain but now I’m mad at myself for not standing up for self. This is the most ugly tattoo I have on my body & if there’s someone reading this wondering if you should get your first tattoo here please DONT.

Experiencia negativa: Traveling thru Oklahoma, went here for flat piercings, she made me bleed and now it just hurts. Will not be back.

Experiencia negativa: Drove 30 minutes to get there and their piercer put my earrings in upside down. Complete waste of time. *when I took my earrings out to replace with new ones, the piercer had actually ruined them. They were twisted up and I had to throw them away. They were expensive and my favorite pair.

Experiencia negativa: EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED!! Got my jewlery changed here and even had my triple forward helix done here and come to find out their jewlery is JUNK! It lost its shine after a month and even made my triple forward helix heal improperly and the middle piercing was done crooked. I paid almost $100 dollars for junk jewlery.. sucks to be nieve and pay that much. I'm very dissapointed I went to another piercer that told me it was crooked and improperly pierced and the other rejected, in the end I was able to save only one of the three with switching jewelry

Experiencia negativa: They were rude when me and my family last went in there some years back, we walked in and a woman was trying to get someone’s attention and was rude with us when we were in the way and we didn’t know we were. We walked out.

Experiencia fantástica: I love this place! I’ve gotten three piercings here and taken multiple friends. Personally, I got my tragus, septum and naval pierced. I’ve seen my friends get their eyebrows, nostrils and industrials done. One of my friends got his first tattoo here. All have healed super well, and the quality is always consistent. Mystical Illusions has an unbeatable price point, as well as great customer service.

Experiencia positiva: Came for a peircing and was very happy with the piercer. It was clean, Professional and quick. He was great. The girl who is behind the counter is rude though. We had 5 of us there and she kept giving us dirty looks and attitude. I thought it was just me but as soon as we got in the car my friend and daughter were both like " they were awesome except the rude chick" the other guys were smiling and happy to take care of us. She seemed put out that we had questions and needs. Either way ill still be back.

Experiencia negativa: I came in for a piercing originally & after paying $90 for that I was told I wouldn’t be able to get it where I wanted it due to scar tissue but I was having a really bad day & I needed to get a piercing or tattoo done to be able to calm my nervous system iykyk so after talking to the staff I was walked over to the tattoo artist & we talked about doing a small tattoo instead of a piercing. I got “You can’t hurt me, you can only disappoint me.” Underneath my Kevin Gates portrait. Unfortunately when I got home & finally took a good look at it I realized that disappoint is spelled wrong on my arm ‍ it’s spelled with an extra s & I called to see if there was anything we could do about it only to have the tattoo artist refuse to take any sort of accountability & then proceed to talk to me crazy. Is autocorrect not included in the software that’s used literally everywhere? If you decide to go here for some overpriced ink make sure you don’t blink & you triple check everything because they won’t make it right.

Experiencia fantástica: I got a tattoo from them to cover scarring from 10-15 years ago. It turned out so perfectly. I'm so glad the artist took such care of something like this because this tattoo was very important to me. Everyone was so nice, and my experience was great. It's been 6 days and my tattoo is healing wonderfully.

Experiencia fantástica: I got my industrial pierced here about a month ago. Everyone working was so kind, everything was clean, and prices were great! I got the piercing, they explained how to take care of it in detail and sent me on my way in 10 minutes max. I WILL be coming back here again very soon!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been coming to this shop since I was 18 (2007) I have always received my piercing here and they’ve always been wonderful. Recently went in to get my left eyebrow and nipples done. Staff is always friendly from being greeted, to the end of services. I’ve gotten multiple tattoos here and it is always a great experience. Excellent piercer, took his time and made sure everything was where I wanted them.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been trying to reach out to the owner or someone who will respond. I have a lot of tattoos which I’ve always go to you guys. This last time I went it was going great saw his art work and thought he was a good pick. Well one he didn’t shave my arm so now I’m super itchy it’s not healing right and the lines aren’t straight u can tell it looks like it’s done by a 6 year old and the ink is rejecting. I spent a lot of money for a tattoo I honestly do not like. He also covered up my other tattoo so now it doesn’t look like a face. This whole experience was very bad. I will never come back. They haven’t even tried to contact me. And found out Tober is gone that made me super sad. He’s been there from day one.

Experiencia fantástica: Went and got my rook and daith pierced today on 03/28/2025. The front desk people were very straight forward and quick to get me checked in. The piercer who did my piercings was quick, efficient and really nice, we joked a little bit and he got the job done seamlessly. I would go back here again. I’ve have 4 piercings from Mystical Illusions and only one rejected and I think that was from my own error. Would recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I had my forward helix and flat piercing at this shop. I love everyone!! They’re so helpful, quick, kind and relaxed. Very affordable considering the service and jewelry you get. I’ve gone on different occasions and it’s always been great. Clear healing instructions, and they’re very helpful if you call their shop. I met the owner while we were there and he was so wonderful. If you’re thinking about it, they should be the people to do it!!

Experiencia negativa: I've been coming here since 2011 to get piercings. I have some that have lasted since then. I think it's gone down hill though. I got my nipples pierced here in February 2024 and they rejected because of poorly being pierced. The needle went through more than just my nipple on my right one and had to remove them both... I got my eyebrow pierced here and it's been swollen for weeks. I got my other eyebrow pierced at another place and it's already healing... I have to my my eyebrow piercing I got done here redone somewhere else... I think he's piercing way too damn fast which is traumatizing the skin. I know he's piercing too fast because he pierced more than my nipple.

I was messing with it ( I know I know ) and the ball came off but I went back in and they helped me put it back on

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely most horrible experience, we live a couple hours away and called ahead they said as long as we made it by a certain time we actually made it actually five minutes before they mentioned and deliberately denied us and told us "should have been here earlier" this was the absolute worst experience I have ever experienced!!! Would never recommend to anyone!

Piercer was great, very quick and friendly. The atmosphere was calm, and the staff was super friendly and straightforward. Come in with a plan, though, because they have no interest in guessing what you want.

However, the piercer I had was sub-par at best, botching an eyebrow piece on my child, and installing my provided jewelry in the worst way possible. He might not work there anymore. Look for a bald guy with "Proud Boys" tatted on the back of his head.

Experiencia fantástica: I got a new lip ring after almost 4 years of having the orginal stud they (another shop) pierced it with and biting it on occasion The piercer helped me get the right size for my lip and he was so nice they've got a great selection of jewelry. I saw some glass hangers for the ears ill have to go back for.

Super homophobic literally laughed when I asked about a tattoo. I will never go back there again and I don't recommend anybody from the LBGTQ TO NOT GO HERE! THOSE TWO GUYS WERE VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT A TATTOO HAD TO DO WITH MY LIFESTYLE

Experiencia positiva: Ehhhhhh definitely not the cleanest place I've ever been to. It could definitely do with a dusting and even a remodel. All jewelry is externally threaded, which I'm not a fan of. The piercing area is a little cramped, and the table they have you lay on has seen much better days, years ago. Overall the staff is nice. They are not very welcoming at first, until you approach one of them. They don't allow pictures or cellphone use inside (mostly due to people making poor decisions I'm sure). I had no issues with the piercing itself. However the establishment could be more asthetically pleasing.

Experiencia fantástica: I went here just the other day to get my septum pierced. ONLY $50(no tax) for a horseshoe piercing which is a 16 gauge 3/8, including the jewelry and aftercare instructions! Staff was very friendly and took complete care of me! I went on a Saturday evening and they weren't even busy, they deserve more business honestly! The person who did my piercing was professional and friendly! all the tools he used were sterile and taken right out of the packaging, he also wore gloves and he talked me through the piercing which relieved my anxiety so much! I did go in kinda on an empty stomach but the manager told me to go get some food then come back which I did and it made a HUGE difference, if you go, eat first lol! I LOVE my new piercing! It's so cute! I'd give ten stars if I could and I am thinking of going back to get a tattoo done, I just dunno when!

They provided the salt I needed to clean my tongue, the piercing and a guide to help me through the healing process all for $40. Other shops were charging $60 to do the same thing. This shop is the best place to go if you want a piercing. It has been two weeks later and it feels great. I definitely recommend this shop. Thanks Mystical Illusions!

Experiencia fantástica: I went here last April 2022 with friends and got a smiley piercing and instantly felt comfortable. I had gotten my nipples pierced by Poke Piercing in late 2020/2021, and around 8 months later, I ended up having to return to the same piercer back due to the fact I ended up having my left close up on me. When I went in he looks at my right and goes "those aren't straight who did them", which my confidence dropped to the floor. I got my piercing reinsert, then a lecture about using "proper" piercings, then paid and left. After a few months, I noticed my jewelry wasn't where I remember it being, but thought I was crazy and went on about my day. After my smiley, I decided to speak to the piercer about my issue, and not only did he confirm my issue, he also mentioned it was also to high. I ended up having to remove the jewelry and waiting a whole year to get them redone, but this time it was faster, easier, and the piercer made the process a breeze. Would 100% recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Took my son to get his first piercings done. Got his septum and both ears pierced for his 15th birthday. Experience was great! Piercer was knowledgeable and did a great job calming his nerve’s. All piercing sites look great. Everything went smooth and great. Pricing was expected, but not extremely overpriced either. You get what you pay for!

Experiencia negativa: So I am posting this because I don’t want anyone to get hurt or have a horrible experience like I did. I went to get a tattoo the artist Chad showed up to work late , took 4 hours just to do a outline of a tattoo. He was too busy taking smoke breaks and eating. The tattoo was poor quality, and he ended up passing out while tattooing my arm and ran the tattoo machine across my wrist and I was getting my forearm tattooed. While I was in the shop they kept making inappropriate jokes the whole time , very unprofessional. I strongly suggest to find a more reputable tattoo parlor and do some research before getting any work done tattoos or piercings from this sheisty place! Here are some pictures of where he ran the tattoo machine across my wrist when he passed out and the mess of a tattoo I was left with.

Experiencia positiva: The place was mystic and dark, dank even. Just what a great artist studio should feel like. Yes I said it Feel... Stop by and indulge yourself to some fine art, and don't forget the jewelry.

Experiencia fantástica: Went here for a septum stretch as they had one of the cheapest prices for septum bars in the city ($25 10g circular barbell) the experience was great and the people were friendly, I will return for future stretch's after confirming sanitation. Would recommend. (Edit: after owner reply to confirm sanitation I would highly recommend although I have not been pierced here I can say I would consider for future piercings and stretching)

I was a little upset when I went to pay, their card reader wasn't working so I had to use the atm instead to pay for my tattoo, but it was all good. Experiencia fantástica: I came in in April of 2021 and the guy that did my tongue was hilarious and made me super comfortable when I said I was nervous. The guy who greeted me when i came in was nice and made me feel welcomed. The healing was super fast and I had no issues. He was really thorough in explaining the aftercare and what to expect with the healing process. I'm planning on coming back soon for my lip and nose!

Experiencia negativa: Staff is rude and unprofessional. Not a one-off occurrence we have been in probably 5-6 times in the past two years for a piercing or for jewelry and without fail, busy or not, the people working the lobby are rude.

Experiencia negativa: Got my lip pierced and it was not centered, I told the piercer that it was not centered! He argued with me and said it was because of swelling… the lip was not even swollen yet, however I still went home waited the 3 months (he told me that is when it would be centered) even then it still wasn’t centered I called and he told me he would re-pierce it (and have to pay to get it re-pierced).. I will not get my lip re-pierced here if you couldn’t even get it done right the first time!

Experiencia negativa: My wife went in there and wanted a bellybutton piercing and a fat man with glasses told her to show him her belly in front of the whole place and said no I can't do that because of her having scars of being pregnant. He should of as a professional take her into another room to say that not in the lobby. We turned around and went to a different place and they did it with no hesitations.

Experiencia negativa: Had a terrible experience. Messed up my tattoo and then wasn’t willing to work around my schedule to get it fixed. Shop opened at 12 but the guy wasn’t willing to come in an hour early at open to fix it. I eventually just stopped trying.

Experiencia fantástica: Very nice place with very nice people, I’ve been here twice for my piercings and it’s so much cheaper compared to 23rd especially since they aren’t trying to shove a thousand different “solutions” down your throat to get that extra cash. Got my daith, tragus, and conch pierced here and that went very well. Went to get my naval pierced and it got infected due to my own negligence. Piercer and front desk person was so nice in explaining how to clean it, what exactly I should do, and what I should wear to prevent any more irritation. Will definitely come back :)

Experiencia positiva: Loved the atmosphere and how great they were when getting pierced. I've had numerous piercings, but my sister hadn't and the piercer was great with her. I only took off 1 star, because I couldn't find the coupon anywhere to be printed so I asked when I got there. Apparently I should've printed the profile picture and it would've counted. But either way, great place and awesome people.

Experiencia negativa: The person who does the piercing is wonderful. The sales people are rude and have no manners. Please teach your people to be professional... I wrote this review 3 years. I Went in to by earrings. I can see things haven't changed. This was 1/17/22. The front desk people are so rude. They aren't helpful at all. I wouldn't have went there just didn't have time to go to 23rd. I've also been looking to get another tattoo. I might have considered spending my money there. If there going to be rude when buy earrings I sure don't want them touching my body for a tattoo.

Experiencia negativa: I got my first dermal piercings done here- three were placed in my side (left rib) two of which rejected due to improper piercing and my skin is scarred. I have been to other professionals who asked who did them because they were wrong and they removed them and recommended removing the last one (still in) . I also received two dermals in my lower back (dimples) which were not pierced even AT ALL . Another piercer corrected this error by placing two NEW dermal piercings Y to make it look better . Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend going here for this service as the piercer doesn’t know how to correctly do them . I will include pics - left bottom and top right dermals were pierced here -

Experiencia fantástica: I went to get my belly button pierced and I was in and out and everyone was so nice and professional. There wasn't a huge line and the employees weren't rude at all. Very good experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Went in for a minor piercing emergency (lost an end), the guys were helpful, patient, knowledgeable and friendly. They even put the new jewelry in for me (this might be standard practice, I haven’t bought jewelry in a shop outside of my original piercings, I usually order online). I’ll definitely be back for some more jewelry varieties soon.

Experiencia negativa: I got a Medusa piercing and I had to take it out the very next morning because it was done very, very crooked and it was almost poking out if my mouth. The man who did my piercing was nice but there was another guy who incredibly rude and barged in on my friend and I when I was getting pierced. He threatened to smash my friends phone because he thought we were filming (we had asked and my piercer told us no videos but pics were okay so thats what we did) even after she had shown him she wasn't filming. Overall it was an awful experience, I would never ever go there again and I would never tell anyone to go there.

Experiencia fantástica: Came down yesterday, 11/5/21, to get my lobes pierced 3 months after a keloid removal and my doctor said it was okay to get it repierced. A tall man with glasses and a beard greeted me when I came in, I told him my situation. He felt my ear and said there was to much scar tissue in it still, recommended miderma to help break down the scarring and recommended I wait a few more weeks and come back. Though I was turned down, I was given instruction on how to resolve the issue and encouraged to come back at a later time. This man was very nice and very professional. See you in a few weeks guys!

Experiencia negativa: I’ve gotten 6 piercings from this shop and use to rate them 5 stars.. but I see that the more customers, the worse their attitude gets. The owner in the front is mad disrespectful and because the piercer was so high he lost track of who was next on the list to be pierced, I was almost skipped TWICE. I opened my mouth to state that I was the one next, and the owner disrespected me calling me a big mouth as if I wasn’t already taking a risk allowing his stoned piercer to touch my ear to begin with. After 6 piercings, I’ll never be back. Y’all’s professionalism was trash one to many times.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible customer service. I’ve gone multiple times and am always treated horribly by the front desk both the women and male - worst attitude and never helpful even talk down on you in front of you. The piercer himself is great only reason I wouldn’t rate 1 star.

Experiencia negativa: My daughter went there for lip piercing and the bar was too short again, so again her lip swell up and damn near closed over the ring. So she ending up going to have it removed and getting a longer bar at somewhere else.

Experiencia positiva: Such a cute mom and pop place. The food was amazing and they have vegan options available. The drinks are really good. Our server was very nice, knowledgeable and laid back. This might be a regular date night spot.

Experiencia fantástica: Just left after getting my nosed pierced and my experience was great from the time i walked thru the door and during my process which was comfortable and warming i even got lollipops in the end first time going definitely will be back...let the healing process begin ✌

Experiencia negativa: I went into the shop yesterday 5/20/21 to buy jewelry for my industrial. I knew when it was pierced at 23rd St that they used a smaller gauge than they typically would because of my ear anatomy. So I asked the woman for jewelry that would fit my piercing. She looked at my current piercing. I even took the jewelry out so she could get a good look at it. She gave me the jewelry she said would fit..I questioned her if she was sure (it looked larger)..she ensured me that it would fit perfect. I get home and it’s huge! She gave me a 14g when mine is a 20g! It obviously did not fit and I don’t want to gauge this piercing. I called shortly after I arrived home and tried to wear the new jewelry that didn’t fit. I wanted to return the jewelry for an exchange/refund which they refused. Although I understand why they can’t accept the jewelry, I wish they would have tried to do ANYTHING to right the wrong. Go to 23rd St..it’s more $$$ but they are at least knowledgeable and have some integrity for their work/business.

Experiencia negativa: First time I came here, I got a single forward helix piercing. It was good. But the next time I came here, I wanted 3 piercings on my cartilage. I payed 90 dollars for a very bad job. They pierced them way too close to each other and the earrings were on top of each other. So the piercings weren't able to heal and I had to take them out.I don't know how someone professional can do such a bad job. He seemed like he was in a hurry. Bad service:(

Experiencia fantástica: Mystical illusions is definitely a place that i would recommend for anyone to go and get pierced or tattoos at. They have a great atmosphere and attitude always. They also have been there a log time and know what they are both doing and talk about. Keep up the great work everyone there!

Experiencia fantástica: Went in on a Saturday for a walk in tattoo, they had a lot of business so they stopped taking walk in tattoos shorty after I had walked in, they also had a two hour wait for piercings, so word of advice, go on a weekday, or schedule. My tattoo came out as expected, and I am definitely satisfied, Irish did an awesome job!

Experiencia fantástica: Long wait but they're not trying to pump people in and out of the place. Piercing actually takes his time to get to know you and put you at ease. Great environment overall and I'm in love with my vertical labret. Reasonable prices and very professional staff.

Experiencia negativa: Genuinely nice people, super friendly but totally messed up my vertical labret. Pierced crooked, they also have no regard for COVID not one person was wearing a mask. Unfortunately the piercing qualities outweigh the hospitality, save your money and go to 23rd and body street!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve had a few piercings done here. Tober is amazing at what he does. Very knowledgeable and calming. For walk-in on a Saturday I’ve never had to wait more than 30-45 minutes to be pierced!

Experiencia negativa: I was in there July of 2020 for a double nostril piercing and i was greeted by this aggressively mean man. I came in smiling and happy and he shot my mood down the moment he spoke to me. He was extremely rude to me the entire time he had to talk to me. The guy who did my actual piercing was wonderful. He made me feel extremely welcomed, but because of the guy who I came into contact with first I will definitely never be going back. When i walk into a business i want to feel welcomed, which was not how that man made me feel that day.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great establishment. Piercings? They got 'em! Tattoos? They got 'em! We have brought in 3 of our daughters. They all have gotten piercings. Super quick and super clean. There might be an hour or so wait time, due to their popularity, however it's totally worth it.

Experiencia fantástica: The guy who pierced my moms ear was super funny and nice! he was fast and very understanding. i’m going here again soon for another piercing. They’re a great team.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in a week ago to get my nose pierced with a hoop and the lady at the counter giving me the options of which one I wanted was very nice. As I went in to the room to get the piercing done I popped my knee out of place and the piercer was giving me advice on how to deal with it! He was very professional and helpful! Definitely recommend!
