Experiencia fantástica: Since the first day I walked into hopless everyone was extremely accommodating and just nice. Something you dont usually get with higher end tatt/piercing shops. Aaron who is at the front desk is so awesome. He's talkative, seems very interested in what the client has to say. I absolutely love seeing him when I come in. Austin there piercer is so great. He has done 5 piercings for me and I do nothing but laugh. He makes the experience like no other piercer I have been to. Takes his time, helps talk through your anxiety and just understands. Robbie the tattoo artist I am working with I can only say good things about. He has been patient with me when it comes to me being indecisive. We have had to reschedule due to my work needs. He has always been so sweet and understanding. I am a person that watched facial features and people's movements. Not once has anyone had an attitude in anyway. I will continue to go to Hopeless Tattoo and Piercing. Thank you guys for everything you do for me.

He brought to life an idea I've stewed over for the past 15 years and I couldn't be happier with it. It means the world to my present self just as much as it does to my past self. Zach was fun to work with; whether we were catching up, chatting about life, or putting on some headphones for focus mode. And his art is beautiful. Thank you Zach and Hopeless!

Experiencia negativa: This is a late review... I got my fingers tattooed in late 2023 by Court Landrus and had a touch up done mid January. She overworked my tattoo and now it's a blurry blob. But I new the risks. I had a feeling I should have walked away from this place before she even started my touch up. I arrive at my appointment and she was setting her table up and then tattooed a walk in during my scheduled appointment. After a hour wait, we sat down and she did this and I left without tipping. Whatever she made from the walk in was enough to cover my tip. The shop manager continues to call, wondering how my 1 star review is justified. Allow this to be the clarification. Bad service + bad tattoo = 1 star.

He gave me plenty of time to pick out earrings, offered helpful suggestions, and took his time getting the spacing perfect. Experiencia fantástica: I found Hopeless Tattoo by window shopping, where I saw Ava Town's fabulous female flash tattoos. I was looking for an artist with excellent, precise drawing skills to replicate a Japanese style tattoo and to create a complementary tattoo in the same style. As I was window shopping, the shop owner came out and invited us in, even though the shop wasn't open yet. I was so impressed by his welcoming and relaxed approach. I'm an older woman and not a hot, young thing, so his not judgmental inclusion of me and my friends felt awesome! As we were checking out the art on display, Ava came to work. I showed her the tattoo idea and she was very excited about it. Later, we chatted online about cost, timing, and the 2nd design. I scheduled for 1 month later. She was very accommodating of my crazy busy schedule. The day of the tattoos (yes, on the same day), they made me feel extremely comfortable physically and socially. Ava ensured that everything was clean, and the tattoos were well placed. She got input from other artists, too. She and I spend 7 hours together on the tattoos. She brought some of her personal artistic style to the tattoos (American traditional) to the Japanese style tattoos. The best part is that she created so much movement and personality in the characters (frog and hare). She is an extremely talented artist and a skilled tattooer. The designs are phenomenal! I love that she was as excited about this project as I was. The whole studio seemed excited about it, which was super cool! :-) The line work is so precise and perfect. Up close, I can't find a blown out or wobbly line. They look like stickers. I had a wee bit of bleeding and bruising (older skin), because she socked in the color. I won't need this touched up for years. The tattoos are healing beautifully. I am so happy with this whole project. I'm now planning (or scheming) about the next ones. I'll definitely go back to Hopeless Tattoo and Ava!

Had the opportunity to check this place out when my sister came in town and wanted matching tattoos. Shop was clean, awesome vibes and everyone was super friendly. Shout out to Travis for the hospitality -- and Ava and Josh for drawing up our idea and our awesome matching tattoos. Experiencia fantástica: I had a piercing done by Austin, he was super kind and funny. He did a really good job on my septum piercing even with my slightly crooked nose. He looked at the challenge my anatomy presented, and said he was super excited to do his best. I can say that I'm extremely happy with the results. I have wanted my septum pierced for YEARS and it was an off chance coincidence that brought me into the shop to get it done. So glad I finally bit the bullet!

The crew unequivocally treats every person who walks through the door as family. If you got a question and call, you bet ya ass that it’s going to get answered with the utmost care and kindness. Matt, Aaron, Chris, Robbie, Ava, and Kenny are awesome people - each of em are stand-up dudes. If you come across Hopeless on socials and are considering a piercing or tat, don’t even hesitate. This crew is the best for a reason.

Experiencia negativa: I had called to set up a time to see Rachel but when I asked to set up an appointment with her, they told me Austin was available, I originally thought they didn't hear me so I asked again for Rachel and they said "Austin can see you today" I asked who I was speaking to and he said his name was Aaron. I am frustrated that I know when I ask for a second time to verify clear communication I am getting met with deflection. That is not how you handle customer service, I found out later that Rachel had left and that they were going to pass along the message for her departure. She is my trusted piercer and I trust the integrity of a store to communicate with me versus shoving me to someone else to just keep me in their business making profit for them. Tattoo and piercing is a delicate and intimate space for ones body and when I am comfortable as a woman presenting to go to another woman presenting but not given clear answers as to where did she went which was promised would be upheld. I found her on instagram btw and her @/astrokitty6 for those trying to get in contact with her and may have been denied like me. It's extremely disappointing to be treated like a wallet and not given truthful answers at the very least saying she no longer works there. That was never said to me ONCE. I had no idea. Aaron and upper management need to take a moment and reflect on how to communicate transparency and how they value people over profit because it sure did not feel like I was treated like such. Complete side note, hold hours or make an accessible choice for when music can be turned down for an hour. People who have hearing loss and hearing sensitivity like myself have such a hard time staying in the location due to how loud the music is, I have been here 5+ times btw in the span of year and every single time it has been overwhelming for my hearing.

The owner and staff treated us like family. We joked, talked, listened to music and and the artists were amazing!!! We all left with high quality beautiful tattoos! Experiencia fantástica: I got bored of my nostril stud. I came in to get a ring. My piercing healed at an odd angle, and a ring didn’t look too good. Austin was able to manipulate the ring and make it fit well. It looks great. Thank you Austin!

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful shop. Brandon has been great to work with for myself and my brother. Retouched the first tattoo he gave me for free because it didn't take well the first time and went to get my brother a candy bar and a drink when he got light headed. Everyone I have spoken to there has been nice and helpful. I plan on being back a few more times at least.

I got this super cute cat tattoo as part of her Halloween flash, and the whole experience was so fun. Ava is a very skilled artist and a wonderful tattooer. I love this tattoo shop! Robbie (@rluderstattoo) at Hopeless Tattoo is the BEST. He freehanded this whole thing which was incredible to watch. He’s super nice and extremely talented. I’ll definitely be coming back to get more tattoos from him!

Experiencia fantástica: If you're looking to get a piercing, this is the place. I've talked with both of the piercers, Austin and Rachel, and they are beyond just friendly and helpful. I've gotten 6 piercings done here, with two of them being unique ones(paired vertical labrets and paired middle eyebrow piercings) and when I tell you the placement is PERFECT I mean it!! Rachel really takes the extra time to make sure you're satisfied with the results. When she did my nostrils, I ended up not liking one of the sides, so she repierced it and gave me a discount. Not to mention, she paid close attention to keeping everything extra steril. I'll never stop going here for piercings and recommending it to others. It's a very welcoming and cool shop:)

Our daughter was celebrating her 8th birthday and had an appointment booked somewhere else(unfortunately) but when we showed up they had no appointment for us and the person who does piercings was gone for the day and the reception lady honestly didn't seem to care. We called Hopeless and were greeted right away with an awesome friendly person who was happy to get us scheduled within 30 minutes for a last minute piercing. When we arrived Austin instantly made our daughter feel welcomed and like it was all about her. He walked/talked her through every step and really made her feel confident that she was ready for the big step. Her piercings are beautiful and she's so so happy! We'll absolutely be back for any other piercings our family needs.

Experiencia negativa: Poor customer service. Walked-in, inquiring about a tattoo. They told me to email the design and they'd fit me with an artist they think is best for it. I did. No response. I called a few days later, and they stated that they remembered getting the email but said they were swamped and would get back to me. I waited a few days, again, before emailing again. No response. I can understand not responding once because you're busy, but twice? How hard is it to create an automatic email response that says "we will get back to you asap thanks for your interest"? Or something. Jeesh. I'll take my $ elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: Ava (@avatowntattoo on IG) at Hopeless Tattoo just did the most amazing design and tattoo for me. It was my very first tattoo and I was indecisive from the get go. Ava helped guide me in the American Traditional style that she’s bringing a fresh vision and attitude to with her amazing art. I gave her a handful of photos and we had a great consultation. 4 days prior I decided to go with a completely different start for my sleeve and she didn’t bat an eye. When I showed up for my session she had put together the PERFECT drawing of everything I was hoping for and so much more. It was an easy F*#% yes, let’s get this started! Unsure how I’d deal with the pain, we were targeting 3-4 hours and 2 sessions, but once we were 3 hours in, with her guidance, expertise, and my overall comfort we went for a full 7-hours one shot! We took plenty of small breaks and ordered takeout for dinner to keep the blood sugar up. Everyone at the shop was so friendly and professional! I had a front row seat of a full Saturday operation, observing dozens of people come and go with huge smiles and vocal adoration of their piercings and tattoos. I so appreciated to hear that they do pro bono cover ups of racist/Nazi tattoos. They lift up their clients and their local community in a way that will make me an Ava and Hopeless Tattoo client for life. They have beds and chairs to keep you comfortable. Not pushy at all and want nothing more than their clients to have the best tattoo experience possible. The photo studio shot to capture your fresh tattoo was also super impressive and I already can’t wait to go back for my next one. They were crystal clear with aftercare and I feel so comfortably informed as a newbie to getting inked. Super easy to get scheduled for consultations and sessions. They also take quite a few walk ins for piercings and they do a LOT of piercings and have some amazing local surgical grade jewelry with an extensive inventory. Experiencia fantástica: Walked in expecting to get a consultation for a tattoo, but Ava (avatowntattoo) was right there ready to work with me and tattoo me the same day. It turned out to be my favorite tattoo I have so far. She was extremely easy to work with and very nice the whole time. I even got a muffin and water due to almost passing out lol. Absolutely amazing artist and shop!

Experiencia fantástica: I’m visiting my hometown (Vancouver) from the east coast, and I wanted to get a last minute tattoo while I was in town on Sunday. I called hopeless and they were so accommodating. I met with Ava for about 15 minutes to decide on a tattoo. She was able to fit me in despite being incredibly busy. She did a phenomenal job, not only in the art, but also making me feel so comfortable! There was even a very aggressive, disrespectful customer that came in and ultimately ended up harassing them, but they were so respectful and quick to handle the situation. I will be back as soon as I’m back in town.

Experiencia fantástica: This review is for Austin - who is legit one of the best human beings and piercer, obviously. Both times I was a walk-in, getting some piercings done on a whim. My first visit, Austin did a double piercing of my ear lobes and the second time he pierced my tragus. I appreciate how knowledgeable he is, but most importantly I appreciate how comfortable he makes me feel. He is so approachable, so funny, and like I said in the beginning, an amazing human. So please, if you are even questioning getting a piercing, just do it and go see Austin! I’ll be back for more before you know it.

Experiencia fantástica: I've had three tattoos from three different artists here, and have gotten my nose pierced here as well. I had a positive experience every time. I will say this shop is VERY good about cleanliness and giving good advice about aftercare (piercer and tattoo artists). I'm not well versed in piercings, but my piercer did a great job on placement. It was definitely painful for a split second, but she seemed to be pretty quick and smooth when doing the piercing. Two of my tattoos were walk-ins and simple designs that any decent artist could do. So I can't really comment on those artists' abilities. My first, and currently largest tattoo was done by Kenny Doom, and I will say he does excellent work, and is very quick! It's been almost four years since I got my piece done by him (black work with a few white highlights), and I still haven't needed a touch up. I highly recommend him if you like his style.

Experiencia fantástica: I got a small tattoo from them when my bestie visited over a year ago with her and liked the people and atmosphere so I came back and decided to get my back tattoo done here, my artist was Brandon and he was a gem, super nice and easy to talk to made it feel like talking to a friend. They might just become my main place to get my tattoos because they truly are such nice and welcoming people.

I called the shop and shared with him that my dad has cancer, is in between treatments and a big time surgery and really wants to get a symbol tattooed on him that we all have used to keep us going through this time as soon as possible. We had the shortest amount of time to get it. Aaron went out of his way to connect with multiple artists and give us multiple options. He spoke with my parents on the phone, which (love them to pieces) isn't the easiest with patience and having to repeat yourself. Aaron went over and beyond for my family, was kind, caring, and incredibly understanding. You can tell that he really has such a kind heart and is a good guy. My parents and I will never forget the length he went for us. Thank you again, Aaron, for going the extra lengths for us. During the scariest and hardest time, you made a difference in our life and story. <3 Zack. My God is this Guy a freaking hoot and a half and a damn good artist. I mean it's obvious when you look at his IG Account that he's incredibly talented. He's beyond gifted. You want to know how the experience getting tattooed by him is. He completely attunes to your needs. I need a mix of engaging conversation, moments getting in the zone, and having to switch positions. He meets those needs. He is absolutely HILARIOUS, throws a dash of sass in there, and could NOT be more fun to be tattooed by. I'm always a little nervous leading up to our sesh(pain), but leaving our four hour sesh looking forward to the next one. My sleeve is still in progress and absolutely stunning. To be continued...

Every piece I have has healed wonderfully and looks just as beautiful as the first day. I’ve gotten a few pieces from other artists, and I just keep coming back to Brandon. He makes sure that you are going to be proud to wear this art and you feel like your ideas are heard. He is professional, easy to talk to, and makes some rad tattoos. Hopeless holds their reputation with badass staff, clean shop, and a welcoming atmosphere. I will always recommend this shop till the end.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to HOPELESS for a few years now to get my piercings, and I don't plan to go anywhere else. The staff are extremely friendly, and always go above and beyond to help assist you with whatever you need. The shop has such a friendly/fun vibe and is always spotless! The manager Aaron is always so polite and helpful. I am very indecisive because they always have multiple beautiful high-quality jewelry pieces to choose from, but they patiently wait for me to make my choice and answer all of my questions. I never feel rushed or pressured and always get amazing service.

Right when I walked in I was greeted by the front counter person and was helped right away. They were friendly and welcoming. I got a more private piercing so the shop did a great job respecting my privacy and making sure I felt comfortable. The piercer was amazing!! The piercer walked me through the process while making me feel comfortable and confident. The piercing room was clean and all the equipment was sterilized in front of me. Overall I would 10/10 recommend this shop. I will be returning in the future for another positive experience!

She's an absolutely gifted artist, willing and able to curate my ideas into art better than I can even imagine! My forearm piece is an adaptation of her flash added with flowers, and the upper arm is her talented rendering of my request for "a snake wrapped up in heart shaped foxglove." Shout out to Erin for being so friendly and helpful! He helped me in search of my first tattoo, solid advice and a welcoming presence. I was certainly timid at first in the shop, but he came out from behind the counter to sit down and talk with me and look over some of the flash, made me feel right at home.

His art was beautiful, even for how small our tattoos are. He took our simple idea and made something way better than we imagined. Experiencia fantástica: I came to Hopeless 4 years ago and got the line work on my half sleeve done by Courtney (Landrus), which I loved but we technically never finished it. This week, I finally got it finished and she didn't even charge me for the touch ups on the original work after all this time. My picture quality doesn't do it justice, so please check out her portfolio as well. Ken gave my partner a tattoo when he walked in, was super quick and it came out beautiful. This place is great!

He took such great care of my daughters and me, getting a simple phrase on our arms to honor my dad, their grandpa. Nothing fancy, but perfectly done, and a month later looks better than ever. Check out Zach's work and you can see he does beautiful detailed art. But he treated us and our small job with great respect and friendly good humor. Highly recommend! They are wonderful human beings and so welcoming, not to mention fantastic artists. I currently work with Zach and Ava. Ava, is a wonderful artist. She is professional, detail oriented and so much fun to talk to. Zach is another fantastic artist that has brought older tattoos back to life and created some wonderful new ones. Experiencia fantástica: Hopeless tattoo was recommended to me by Neat tattoo. I went to Hopeless tattoo and was awestruck by the tattoo artwork .The tattoo parlor is decorated with awesome designs. It has a very clean and welcoming atmosphere. The music playing there is wonderful. The artists are very kind and friendly, I talked with Aaron and John, they were very polite and really tried to understand what I kind of tattoo i wanted. I walked in before I could set an appointment with John. He had designed the tattoo before my appointment and showed it to me. He really tried to get the tattoo stencil exactly as I wanted it. It felt amazing checking the stencil with him a few times and getting it exactly right. I got tattooed, and I am very happy with the artwork. It is for me to see and me only and it might help me breakthrough hard times in my life and that is what Hopeless tattoo did for me.

Austin was the piercer that did my walk in appointment and it was the best experience! It was honestly such a vibe and I’m so obsessed with my new piercings. During each session he would periodically checking in to make sure I was comfortable, or if I needed a break. He would keep the mood light and friendly chatting with me about a shared interest in horror movies. When it came to scheduling Zach was very flexible, and kept in contact when changes would arise.
