Experiencia negativa: Got a big tattoo $1300 he did a 13 hour tattoo in 9hrs it hurt worse than any tattoo ive ever gotten i have 13 it is my biggest my arm bruised on the inside from top to bottom it was a shoulder and down the arm piece the guy that did it told me to call him back after 4 months because it would fade and he would do one free touchup all of the whit is gone and it faded really badly when i called the guy to do the touch up he would never call me back i left 20 messages over the coure of 5 months i looked him up on the website he still worked there (i believe not anymore) so i left a message at the shop and still no return call i eventually gave up i believe if The guy wouldn't have rushed so hard throughout the whole entire process that the tattoo would have Held up better but as you can see, after four months, it looked terrible

Experiencia fantástica: I've been here twice but this is easily my favorite tattoo shop in St. Pete. I've had three tattoos done by Andy and each of them are amazing. He brought my idea to life and created a beautiful custom tattoo for me on my first visit. And most recently I got two tattoos from his flash and I love them. (He has a great flash portfolio btw). Andy is so kind, easy to talk to, and gives you realistic expectations when you come to him with an idea. Each time I'm here, it's like catching up with my best friend. The shop is clean, everyone there is so genuine and kind. Some shops seem to have this "tough guy" and kind of unwelcoming vibe to them, but you won't find that here. They make everything so easy and make you feel at ease and like you belong. I absolutely recommend Foolish Pride and Andy to everyone.

I was super nervous about having it done due to some nerve damage, but she was so patient and calm with me the entire time and made sure to take her time with helping me place the stencils. she did an awesome community what she needed from me in terms of making sure everything came out just right! when i scheduled my appointment i told her what my budget was and she really made sure to give me all she could for my very limited budget. she was so professional and even cooler to just hang out with during the tattoo! I can’t wait to work with this kick ass human again in the future for more of her art!!

Experiencia negativa: I didn't do any research before coming here. Staff was nice but not there for the customer experience. All about budget and skimped on our design to meet our budget. Mediocre job and no real warmth for the customer. I left feeling like I was a hassle for the staff not appreciated. Will not return.

Experiencia fantástica: Discovered Foolish Pride and the artist Jaylen on Instagram before arriving for my vacation in St Pete. She was so sweet and quick in responding to the design idea I wanted. Once arriving at the studio it was a great chill atmosphere and we got the sizing and placement just right. Even getting a tattoo on my rib area she had a light hand. The idea turned into reality in no time at all. If you are looking for a fine line detailed tattoo I highly recommend reaching out and getting scheduled. Great work and looking forward to knowing that this piece was created on this trip.

In terms of tattoos, Zoe was SO patient with my wife and I, was open to design ideas, made great suggestions AND made my first tattoo (and our first couples tattoo) experience a great one! Experiencia negativa: I had to change the review because of the quality of the nose ring. It was over $125 and it fell out and I was told that it wouldn’t bc the type of ring it was. It was disappointing, I would be wary with your purchase. Piercer is great but quality of products are sub par. I did not get a piercing done this was just jewelry. I have had my nose pierced for a decade and the only jewelry that would occasionally fall out was the hoops that did not close.

Kat did a fantastic job on my flash tattoo, and Zoe nailed my custom piece, turning my idea into something even better than I imagined. Experiencia fantástica: I got my tat done by Drew. My appt was scheduled from 2:00-5:00. He got started after 2:30 and was finished by 4:00. I was very shocked at how fast he was. I sent a picture of what I wanted and also told him to be creative at the consultation. Before starting, he asked what I wanted. I asked for minimal changes. My tattoo is on my right hand. He far exceeded my expectations. He made what was in my head come alive. It’s very sentimental. I love the cardinals, the colors, and especially the details. Drew was very professional and kind. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is peaceful. I HIGHLY recommend Foolish Pride Tattoo. I’m going back again!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Had an appointment with Drew for a medium sized lighthouse on my arm. I was pretty vague with how exactly I wanted the lighthouse to look, and just had a view main requests (b/w, not too crazy with shading, and something to depict the light being on). Drew came up with a beautiful design that I could not love more. The tattoo came out even better than the design, and I am absolutely obsessed with it! I'm definitely coming back to Foolish Pride for future tattoos, and I would recommend them to anyone! Shop was clean, everyone was nice, and the artists are talented, what more could you ask for? Experiencia fantástica: First tattoo! Big deal for me as I waited till I was 36 to get my first tattoo! Jack Davis was excellent! Super professional and truly cares about his craft. He made me feel comfortable and we had many many different conversations from Art to personal adventures. He specializes in stippling tattoos. Take a peak in his sketch book it's worth it! He also loves a challenge. I had a fairly simple request but we talked about what would be cool and challenging because he loves that kind of work. Check out his IG too!

Experiencia fantástica: Chris C. added to my moon and sun tattoo he did a year ago today. Totally came up with impressive designs of mandalas surrounding that tattoo. Looks like they are in the background not to take away from the moon and sun. Chris makes you feel comfortable and is very gentle handed. You can tell he really enjoys his work. I would highly recommend Chris for your next ink! Until we meet again to finish our next idea Chris!

Experiencia fantástica: Chris Cupp did a Jersey Devil on my bicep. He came up with a better design which I really liked. He is focused to detail and added freehand trees to the background which makes the devil pop. Now we are working on flames to be incorporated on my elbow. Waiting to see his ideas! Experiencia negativa: My girlfriend & I were in town for vacation & saw that this place was highly rated, so I was excited to get a simple minimalist orange juice box to represent florida. unfortunately i felt like zoe’s work was sloppy & rushed, down to way she even wrapped my tattoo up & my girlfriend didn’t even wanna get her tattoo anymore because she agreed. I paid $120 for a tattoo that took maybe 20 mins & told her it was fine because I’d rather try to get it fixed by an artist I trust at home than have her try to fix it & possibly make it worse. Everyone was nice but I think it’s respectable when an artist can admit they can’t do a piece.

My go to artist is always JD McGowan, he’s done over half of my tattoos and he’s one of the best in the business. I have been looking on line for awhile now and yes im 56 i know im a baby but i just wanted to get the right thing and the right person. SO i heard great things about this spot. I went in and spoke to Peyton at the front desk. So nice and welcoming didn't make me feel silly or old or anything > I explained what i wanted and she directed me to Lefty. Again i was really nervous But omg such a great person. I told him i wanted a small poppy on my ankle and im a bit skeamish with pain and such but he sketched out a quick design which was perfect. He then stenciled it on me to make sure the placement and size was correct. It was. The whole tattoo took less than 15 mins and no pain at all i was shocked. I already want to get more. THe shop was super clean and chill which is very important to me. I spoke to Brian who i believe is the manager or owner and he is hilarious. The whole experience was start to finish amazing and i highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much for making this old lady comfortable and happy.

Brian was amazing (and super patient with me) asked me a lot of questions about the style and what I wanted, had me send pics of ideals.. which he got a lot of. Then matched me with an artist that he thought would be perfect for what I was looking for. I worked with that artist on what I envisioned for my arm. After a few conversations I got to see the first drawing! I was blown away! It was more than I expected or could have imagined! A few small tweaks and a week later I sat for my 1st of 3 sessions! Brian even came in sat with me for the first session (cuz I’m a nervous wreck when it comes to new tattoos).. Foolish Pride is amazing! And now it’s time for the other arm!

They only made suggestions to assist in the detail which would make the ink pop right off the skin. I put Foolish Pride St. Pete as my go to and wouldn’t think for a second about going anywhere else. I go with JD, he’s done a large coverup on my right arm and we’re 90% done with my sleeve. This man is badass.

Experiencia fantástica: Just recently had a cover up done on an old tattoo that I’ve had for about 11 years. It took me a while to research and find the right artist because I knew generally what I wanted, but didn’t have a design and I can’t draw very well…long story short, I picked Lefty (Nephtali Brugueras Jr.) after seeing some of his previous work and I couldn’t be happier. I only wish I had found him sooner and got the coverup done years ago. Lefty drew up an amazing design in just a few days and had me sitting for the tattoo shortly after. He was extremely responsive when I had questions and even incorporated some minor tweaks and personal requests into the design he drew up. Lefty is truly an artist and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for high quality work or a cover up. Now all I need to do is figure out what my next tattoo with Lefty will be.

Experiencia fantástica: Foolish Pride is a professional, clean, and newbie-friendly tattoo shop. Reception is friendly and helpful, the decor is eclectic and fun, and the building is spacious. Nephtali (Lefty) helped me get my first tattoo, and I had such a good experience that I got my second tattoo with him as well. He worked hard to bring my creative visions to life by completing sketches on the fly during our consultations and providing a more complete sketch before the appointment, which I could help tweak. His skill as a tattoo artist is only matched by his positive and fun-loving attitude, which made the entire process a blast. He also offers free touch ups for life, which is a spectacular perk and proves that he stands by his work. I highly recommend Foolish Pride as a shop and Nephtali as a fantastic, fun, and professional artist.

Experiencia fantástica: Nephalti "LEFTY" IS MY GO-TO ARTIST I'VE KNOWN THIS MAN ALMOST A YEAR NOW AND I WILL PUT HIS WORK UP THERE ON THE HIGHEST PLATEAU OF DETAIL AND PROFESSIONALISM I KNEW PAUL BOOTH WHO IS A PHENOMENAL TATTOO ARTIST IN NEW YORK AND I WANTED SOMETHING DONE BY HIM BUT WITH HIM IT'S A TWO-YEAR WAITING LIST I CAME ACROSS LEFTY LAST YEAR AND HE IS THE ONLY MAN I WILL NEVER GO TO EVEN IF HE WERE TO GO BACK HOME TO NEW YORK I WOULD FOLLOW HIM LEFTY WILL ALWAYS BE MY TATTOO ARTIST IN MY OPINION NO OTHERS COMPARE TO HIM this Stevie Ray Vaughan tattoo had to be done just right I couldn't trust that you just anybody because I'm such an avid fan of Stevie Ray and miss him so much and only Lefty could capture his true aura

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend getting a tattoo at Foolish Pride due to unwillingness to rectify a bad situation. I went in getting a design and work done by Johan. The work after the first session was great, and I was happy, but when I went for my follow-up, I was told that there was no appointment for me. They rescheduled me for another day. I get a call the day before letting me know that Johan had left the country. I was pretty upset by this, but what was more upsetting is how the Owner handled the entire situation. Originally when I was called, I asked what could be done, and was told nothing could be done and they were sorry. I asked it was possible to have another artist look at it, partial refund (So I can go find someone to finish it), or anything and was told no. I then I asked if my only recourse was legal recourse. I then received a call from the owner who was upset at me for "threatening" his staff with a lawsuit. Which is not what I said at all. He then proceeded to try to re-explain the situation. He said, "I don't control people." He mentioned that he wanted to work with me, but when I asked what he was going to do. He proceeded to tell me there is nothing that can be done. I am still confused how working with me is not offering any solution to this problem. He told me his staff didn't have the expertise to finish the work, and that more than likely other artists would not be willing to touch it. I was pretty upset and was going to look at tattoo removal because having an incomplete tattoo isn't ideal if there wasn't someone who would finish. A friend of mine had mentioned that there was a nearby shop that would be willing to help me out. Doom Club Tattoo and NIck have been amazing in helping me out. They offered to take care of me in completing the tattoo and also offering to discount the deposit that I put at Foolish Pride Tattoo. That deposit wasn't even offered back to me. At this point even if they did offer it back, I wouldn't even be comfortable going to the shop based on how hostile the owner was towards me on the call. I fully expect the owner to respond to this review and continue to not take accountability for the situation and unwillingness to actually work with me.

Experiencia fantástica: Walked in no appointment and they where able to fit us in. Nephtali did our tattoos and he was awesome, really nice and precise and made sure both the colored one and the black and white words turned out perfectly. Also made sure we felt comfortable and could take a break if needed. Absolutely loved everyone here and my new art.

The beginning of March my family had to put our dog down; we had our baby for 14 years and losing him was beyond a loss. Foolish Pride Tattoo Co. was recommended to us by a friend & JD came to us by chance; & we are so lucky for that chance! JD took the utmost care of us: listened to what we wanted and knew exactly what to do, guided us through the tattooing process and made us feel comfortable - like he’s known us for years. His skill is unparalleled and we refuse to see or go anyone besides him! His line work is excellent and his coloring is perfectly bright! His skill ranges from traditional to anything you can think of. JD is kind, knowledgeable, has such a big heart, and we are so thankful for him. When you want or need a tattoo - it’s JD hands down.

Experiencia fantástica: Greg did this tattoo for me, he beautifully re-created my mom's tattoo. I am excited to go back Sunday for another forearm tattoo. I can't wait to see what he created and to get another piece of art work done. The next one is for my son who is in the band and I'm very proud! Also, the staff and the other tattoo artist make you feel very comfortable, at ease.

His fine line work is nothing less than perfect. JD is very gentle handed and easy to talk to making the session more enjoyable. His prices are extremely reasonable.

Experiencia fantástica: Every single part of my experience was excellent. From reaching the studio, the quick response, the professionalism in which the artist, Manikka, worked was phenomenal. She totally understood my idea and the concept I was going for and delivered and incredible piece. I am in love with my new tattoo. And will for sure comeback.
