Experiencia negativa: Its been 2 years since I got my tattoo here and I wanted to wait until I had a couple more tattoos to rate. Well... I got my first ever tattoo done with Justin. I scheduled it a month in advanced and got a call, day of, as I was ready to walk out my door and drive the 40 minutes. The call was basically "Justin is working on this really cool tiger back piece he did as a walk-in and just really wanted to finish it before your session, could we push it back 2 hours?" Now, my first tattoo was important to me, I was covering up self harm scars and other scars I had from an abusive relationship with basically my equivalent of a Medusa tattoo. I was terrified if I said no, I would have to reschedule, so I agreed. I get there at the now scheduled time which was 2 hours later and Justin decided he wanted to go on break right as my appointment started. Fine, he will be back shortly, right. The break was 45 minutes. He stenciled me, I asked to move it, he said the skin on my arm moves so it will never be centered, I kinda just said, I understand, and he never moved it. Oh well, I was too shy at the time to really speak up, thats on me. The tattoo took like... 30 minutes??? 45 maybe? I tried to make conversation half the time but all of Justin's responses were pretty pompous, like "well when you get as good as me-" The tattoo on my forearm is crooked. Like. Not in the sense that a "twist tattoo" is crooked, like other tattoo artists have asked me why it was placed like that crooked. Luckily the experience has become something me and other artists who have tattooed me make fun of. I had to get some lines finished elsewhere because they lifted after my session eith Justin. I want to add at the end that the only reason I drove so far to get a tattoo here is all of my friends recommended this place, none of them had Justin as their artist and had an amazing session. I was just recommended to Justin as he did a bit of anime work and I wanted an "anime" (realistic game) weapon.

Experiencia positiva: The piercing itself was okay but this is the worst one I’ve ever got. I got my nose pierced and the bar is sticking so far out my face. I don’t know if they just have one size for their nose piercings but they should be able to tell if it’s going to be too long before a needle is stuck in my nose and maybe tell you it’ll be long. The lady said my nose was smaller so it’s going to stick out but it’s come almost all the way out my nose twice and it’s hard to get back in. Everyone else who has a nose piercing has got a smaller bar when they got it done and now I’m stuck looking ugly for 6 weeks and having the bar come out my nose everytime I sleep.

The artist Justin was very efficient, great vibes and clean. He did ours back to back and it only took 10 minutes each for both of us, we both recommend him and this shop!! Experiencia positiva: i went this place for a nose piercing which went well, but i’m reviewing this for three friends who have gone there and gotten either a tattoo or piercing there and they messed it up completely. one friend got a tattoo which the design was simple and pretty with a small amount of stippling and the tattoo guy said that the stippling there was awful in the photo so he would do her right and just add a few better ones. the outline for the full line work was good but the stippling was a bunch of dots the same size and looked like polka dots. not at all what she had asked for and went EXTREMELY overboard with them. my friend who got her nose got her doubles pierced at the same time, and the first one went okay but he very much struggled to get the jewelry in and for the other side he completely messed it up, hit a nerve, tried to go again, couldn’t get the jewelry through, and left her with only one side done and a huge bleeding hole which she still had to pay for both. i overall have heard good reviews but these things that happened are not okay and extremely amateurish although this is not for myself, i just wanted to mention this about what happened to some friends. my personal experience was good with both the piercing and my piercer and im not sure if it was an off day or what but just speaking up for them. thank you!

Experiencia negativa: Tried to get both nostrils pierced here by Chyno. Not only did the first one hurt worse than any other piercing I’ve had in my life (I’ve had/have a lot of piercings, just happened to have them out today), but after the first side was done he got the needle through, and immediately I had a rush of nerve pain down my whole face. It was gushing blood and he was pushing over and over to try to get the jewelry in as it only went halfway before he took the needle out, he said something got stuck and he couldn’t get it through. That side is extremely swollen and he pretty much just let me sit there with blood and tears running down my face. Not to mention the guy was complaining the entire time about having to be there and was extremely rude to me, bad service and piercer had an even worse attitude. Do not recommend whatsoever worst pain ive ever experienced in my life. Praying I dont have permanent nerve damage!!! He was also touching doorknobs in his gloves then touching my face!!!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Came in for a septum piercing for my daughter and walked out with a tattoo, along with my other 2 daughters! Lucas was ABSOLUTELY amazing! He is not heavy handed, he recommended shading and I went with it. He even added the “A’s” in it for me. Everyone in there was so friendly and the prices were perfect! You pay for what you get and it showed! Well spent money on piercings and tattoos…customer was service was added on! Top tier…HIGHLY recommend

Experiencia negativa: On Sept 1st I visited for a septum, a conch on my left ear, and a second piercing on my right ear. Great service from the front desk and very affordable rate. However, the work of my piercer Taneesha was not great. She did my septum just fine, but her placement of my conch piercing was absolutely horrific. she pierced my conch diagonally, the piercing way too close to the back of my ear. She also ignored my wishes for my second ear piercing--- I had asked her to position it higher and she didnt. The image below shows the backside of my ear, where the conch piercing emerges. The next image is of my second ear piercing. I put the same earrings in both holes and you can see that the second piercing is lower than the first, which I had expressly told her I didn't want. Due to her errors Ive had to remove both piercings and let them heal over. I plan to repierce them, but definitely not here again with her.

Experiencia fantástica: I got a Tragus piercing here by Lucas 3 days ago. It was the quickest piercing I’ve ever had. The pain was extremely minimum for me. Like a 1-2/10. It still doesn’t hurt & there is no irritation. The environment was very clean & I enjoyed my experience. I highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Ya’ll Taneesha/Buttons IS THAT GIRL. I was so scared to get the septum pierced as a grown woman lmao. I have wanted it forever. I saw she had hers and I’m not even joking when I say she say me down and had that thing done within 30 seconds. She is so logical and her energy is just everything. Perfectly straight (in my deviated septum) first try. Literally , not a drop of blood or even a bit of pain. She’s such a queen. My husband got his industrial pierced and she got that done again NO blood in out 30 seconds. I think once she made her station up and sanitized she had us back there for less than 5 minutes. I mean she’s like a piercing goddess. I can’t recommend her enough. I’ve been to a ton of piercers since she gave me my 18th piercing and she has to be my top piercer I have ever seen. I’d come back just to get another one done by her.

The check in process was easy and I received the aftercare instructions in my email as soon as I submitted the paperwork. I was a walk in but only had to wait a few minutes. My piercer was kind, professional, and fast. I was walking out of the shop ~5 minutes after going back to get pierced. The piercing was quick and more or less painless. I would definitely go back or recommend True Art to a friend for getting a piercing.

Experiencia fantástica: My sister and I went to the shop for the Friday the 13th flash tattoos. This was our first time coming to this shop and it was a great experience! Reiley did our tattoos and she did a phenomenal job! She was great at calming and reassuring my sister that the placement of her tattoo (back of the arm) wasn't going to be as painful as she built it up in her head. Reiley was also very accommodating- she was able to do my tattoo while I stayed in my wheelchair which I really appreciated! As a wheelchair user- it's important to note, that there is a semi-large step up into the shop. I use a manual wheelchair and it was too high for me to bump up myself; so I had to pop a wheely and have my sister lift my back wheels to get me in. However, once you get in the shop it's completely accessible with large bathrooms!

From the ease of making appointment, reminder call the day ahead (which also included details about paying with cash vs card, very helpful), to working with Bella and Reiley, the entire process was painless. Shop is easy to find and street parking was plentiful mid afternoon on a Friday. Once inside, we reviewed size and placement of designs. Reiley was great to work with and kept me in the loop throughout the process. I am very happy with the outcome of my new tattoos!!

Filled out the relevant paper work and Lucas came out and he showed us into his room . Everything was clean and my tattoo took about 20 mins . Excellent service from start to finish . I called ahead to see if I could bring my service animal the lady on the phone said he couldn’t come in the booth but she could watch him. Got there waited 5 hrs. Was told nobody could watch my service animal Which was crazy because why make me wait 5 hrs here? I’m headed back to Michigan from New York. So I just put my 6500$ dog in the car on ft with my sister bc the front desk lady couldn’t even look straight ahead out the window but kept saying ohhh nooo I don’t want him waiting 30 min in the car. lol and I didn’t want to sis in Cleveland Ohio for 6 hours and not get a tattoo when I could’ve just drove to Michigan been home by 2 pm instead of 10 pm. I LOVE THE TATTOO ARTIST

I am just visiting here for a weekend visit and I definitely will be driving the six hours back specifically to have him throw more ink on me. Top notch service a little pricey but you get what you pay for and I paid top money for top quality and that's exactly what I got.

I brought him a sketch for a memorail tat which he improved 100% His shading and line work is excellent. Works with your ideas and needs. Killer tunes always!

Experiencia negativa: Over priced piercings and very slow with piercings that it hurts didn’t want to tell us the price until I got the piercing need more experienced piercers not some one practicing. Response: let’s start by saying the guy said it was his first time doing the piercing secondly if 25 was the price I was definitely over charged because I was charged 60 for 1 piercing never once negotiated asked receptionist was that the price for one piercing your liars to thank you

Experiencia fantástica: Never had a bad experience here, all my piercings and tattoos (that have all been done at TAT) have healed beautifully. Ava (receptionist), Chyno (tattoo artist), and Buttons (piercer) are absolutely fantastic. To be more specific: I have seven piercings and three tattoos, all done here. Chyno recently tattooed my chest and he made me feel really comfortable. Wasn’t awkward, super funny. One tattoo is a little blown out, but the artist no longer works at TAT so I’m not pressed.

Will be back for any future piercings!!!

Experiencia fantástica: This place is incredible and I am so glad I came here. It is the most welcoming and well-decorated shop I've been in so far. About two weeks ago, I received an amazing tattoo from Lucas, who did a great job creating a design that I loved and made the entire tattooing process comfortable and enjoyable. He's incredibly talented and great at what he does, and makes the experience of sitting still in a chair for hours at a time getting a needle shoved into your skin much more fun and a lot less boring! I wish I would have found this place sooner, since the tattoo I got here looks much better than my other two tattoos that I received at other shops. I will definitely be coming back in the near future and am excited to do so! Thank you very much.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in as a walk in and Reiley Matt was my artist. I love my new tattoo and she did a great job. This is definitely the best location I’ve been to for a tattoo and everybody was very nice and helpful.

Experiencia fantástica: The whole team was amazing- I booked with Justin from out of state and I am incredibly thankful I did. He gave me what I asked for and even more so what I really wanted without even having to get specific for him to understand my vision. I add to my sleeve as I travel, so Justin’s additions were the blue carnations, outlining my Alaskan forget me knots I’d had, shading, and branches- he killed it! I’d like to travel out of state for some pawprints sometime from him too- he’s an incredible artist. Very professional shop; I was pierced while there too and although I can’t recall the artist’s name, he was also fantastic and went above and beyond for my piercing care. Everyone there is great- 10/10 recommend; pictures don’t do the piece justice; I’ve received several compliments from the recent work!
