The staff and artist were so knowledgeable, kind, and helpful, well educated in the realm, well prepared to make your experience the best it can be. Abil was my artist. I couldn’t be more pleased and appreciative for his talent, skill, and friendly demeanor. The studio was very clean, and beautifully set up with top tier equipment and comfortable furnishings.

Experiencia negativa: I made an appointment for a consultation at Cleopatra Ink in Tacoma for a full leg sleeve tattoo. I came in prepared with a detailed list of characters I wanted and was quoted $15–18k. I was fully ready to move forward at that price. I was told I would likely get a call back later that evening. I never received one. I waited a few days and called them. I was told the person I spoke with was in another consult and would call me back after. That call never came either. By Friday, I decided I was no longer interested. For a project this size and cost, I expected basic follow up and communication. I’ve also noticed the shop responding to other one star reviews saying people shouldn’t leave a review if they didn’t get work done. But communication and professionalism start at the consultation stage. That part of my experience is what I’m reviewing.

I was trying to patient but it’s frustrating when your time is limited and planned your whole morning around this consultation. Tattoo Artist: UMID -Quick. -Amazing with detail. -Lines straight and solid. -Shading superb in making art pop out where they need to. -Does both black and color tattoo. -Not heavy handed. -Very accommodating. -Overall great at what he does!!!! Pricing: Expect to pay for quality tattoo. Price is a bit up there but depending on your art for example, size, detail, color, realism, cover up. The Consultation will make sure understand on the price. Quality is not cheap and thats what you are getting here a quality tattoo. Warranty for a year. Free touch ups. They do military discounts which does help. Overall: This place is very welcoming and accommodating to our ideas. The people are super nice and are ready to make you next tattoo idea become a reality. Come check them out in the Tacoma mall.

Im more than happy with how it came out. My artist was Viktoriia she did excellent. Quick and light handed. i fell asleep around 30 mins in and then she woke me up saying we were done lol!

I was worried it was too good to be true, but I messaged them to confirm, they replied fast and very nice. When I showed up everyone was polite and helpful, I picked out my flash design, filled out my form and waited..... expecting a super long wait due to the massive line of people but it was maybe a half hour at the most before I was at the table! My artist was super sweet, polite, and kind. I looked forward to going back for my next one!

Which is really all I would want, I don't feel entitled to anything more. He offered to even bring an artist up from their Vancouver shop. He had the shop call me to schedule an appointment, Im not quite ready but she sent me it in writing so I can schedule when I'm healed. Updating to 3 stars, will update again if I go back.** I’m writing this based on my experience at Cleopatra Ink in Tacoma, one star. While the tattoo artist himself was kind and professional, the overall experience, especially around pricing and communication, left me feeling misled. I began with a consultation with the designer Arca, who was friendly and created a background by combining images around my panda concept. We discussed pricing in detail. I was initially quoted $1,600 for 5–7 hours, then reduced to $1,500 total, which I agreed to. We also discussed it would be an additional $500 to blend and rework an older lioness tattoo, so my understanding was clear that this tattoo would be $1,500, with the lion rework would be $2,000. I specifically asked about taxes and was told that paying cash we could 'work out a deal'. I placed a $300 deposit (about $330 with tax since I used a card). On the day of the appointment, stencil placement took about an hour, and the tattoo itself took around 4 hours, not the 5–7 hours originally quoted. The artist was professional and friendly. I did ask again about the lioness blending before we started, and the artist seemed unaware of that discussion and said it would be handled another time, which was fine. So I'm thinking it will be $1,500 total then. The issue came at checkout, when I was told my total was $1,700 something (after deposit) for just the panda work, a number that was never discussed. There was confusion at the front desk, nothing was clearly documented, and she called the manager, they were unhelpful. The designer, who was not in the shop, was called and then claimed the agreed price was $1,800 total for just the panda work, which is not what I was told. Pricing had been discussed clearly and multiple times. Clearly he must work off commission. I was overwhelmed and close to tears, not because of the money, but because of the lack of transparency and trust. So I just paid, I paid around $2,000 after taxes for a tattoo that took about 4 hours, making it roughly $500 an hour..... I still tipped the artist $300 in cash, he was not at fault, and again because it wasn't about the money I can afford it, though I did not see the cash tip handed directly to him, which made me uncomfortable. I later noticed some line inconsistencies, which made the price even harder to justify. This tattoo was done in memory of my mom. Instead of feeling comforted when I look at it, I’m reminded of feeling robbed and taken advantage of. If you choose to go here, I wouldn't, make sure everything is clearly documented in writing, including total price, taxes, time estimates, and what is or isn’t included. Clear communication could have prevented all of this.

Experiencia positiva: Young hispanic lady maybe in her 20's didnt have good customer service, I felt rushed and was iffy when I noticed she was getting Pinterest ideas onto her tablet for someone else to tattoo. Wasn't 100% what I wanted but it was pretty decent so I agreed.Tattoo artist was cool, made me feel comtherable, explained after care etc. Another thing I didnt like too much was for someone like me who is getting their 2nd tattoo after 7 years of having got the 1st one I was unsure about many things like placement, size, etc. She said you have to be 100% sure about all that because once she submits it they cant change it. Like isn't this something that someone gets on their body forever? So if someone goes in the appointment with their minds changed about size or placement its a no? Was charged about 1k, again dont know much about pricing but was told afterward by a blasted friend of mine that I was over charged. Only left content with the Tattoo artist and the tattoo itself but the customer service and the process before hand wasn't good. I'll take it for what it was but I won't be coming back.

Instead of the actual tattoo artist looking at my head to give me a quote they sent the personal minion with a tablet, they took a picture..walked it back to the artist and came back with a 2k estimate PLUS TAX!!!??? I have never in my life been taxed for a tattoo nor will I ever! The ego in this place is insane! Price is outrageous and sadly this is why the industry is failing and artists have to work regular jobs to make ends meet. Was told he couldn't do color on a head... and they wouldn't give me a quote in writing because obviously fishy things happen behind the scenes here. For any poor soul walking into this place with no knowledge do more research, dont let these cons get you. I felt a bit out-of-place at first as it appeared my existing tattoos were older than anyone there. The music had some racy lyrics but I’m not easily offended. I found it humorous, but don’t suggest sitting on the overly-comfortable couch in front of the speaker whilst completing your permission form. The pleasant and articulate man who opened the gate promptly at 10:00 didn’t seem to mind me bombarding him with questions and actually made me feel at home. He (didn’t ask his name) helped me design the concept in my mind. He introduced me to Viktoriia, a young, attractive, and unassuming soft-spoken artist. I was delighted to know she had tattooed her grandma and also a 90 year old person! She was not real chatty, but focused on my forever art. Very professional, gentle, and good-hearted. Seemed a little expensive, but what isn’t these days? Tattoos cost more than 30 year ago…but they last forever. I highly recommend Cleopatra’s ink❣️✨✌️

We had a little bit of that going into the initial design. The bugs were worked out quickly, and came out what I was looking for. And as we were doing the tattoo I asked for a slight adjustment to the design that hadn't been tattooed yet easy.. could I have saved a few bucks going to another shop, the answer is possibly. Did I get an amazing tattoo for the price? Absolutely! I would do it again without any hesitation. Everybody in the staff was super friendly.

The customer service is poor and unfriendly and I found the designers hard to work with because they weren’t very attentive when I told them what I wanted and seemed more focused on their own ideas. I also wish I knew before coming in that the artists at this location apparently don’t sketch their own designs for tattoos. They have designers find images for you on a tablet and they create it. Regardless of this aspect, I still decided I wanted to get tattoos here. But the last time I came in I sat down for a consult, and someone started to work with me but then suddenly got up to go help someone else, leaving me hanging for 20+ minutes. When he came back he took my information down and told me that he would reach out to me when the designs are ready. Usually designs are done in person before or on the day of the appointment at tattoo shops, so I was a little bit annoyed that I traveled over two hours to have a consult here just to be ignored and told when I spoke up, “This isn’t something I can do in 20 minutes. I will reach out to you.” I wasn’t trying to rush anyone at all and waited very patiently for my appointment. I left feeling so disappointed and like Cleopatra Ink didn’t care about doing business with me. It’s a real shame because the artists here produce amazing work. Update: It appears that they also talk crap about clients that complain to other artists. I found out that they told an artist who sometimes visits this shop that isn’t even currently in this state that I complained… which is so unprofessional and made me feel so uncomfortable. Please avoid this studio there are plenty of other better ones out there. I didn’t even get a “thank you for coming in” or “have a nice day” not one time and I traveled two hours for each consult. Another update in response to the owner: What the owner just responded with about me coming in is simply not true. I came into this shop 3 times. They are the ones who offered the last date and agreed to book me, so how in the world was I the one wasting their time? And if a consult is only 30 minutes, how was I there for hours? Also, I never “demanded” anything. Their response only further demonstrates their lack of empathy and professionalism, especially the part where my body language is mentioned. I am autistic and find what he wrote discriminatory. The description of our interaction is inaccurate and appears to misinterpret behaviors related to my autism. I attempted to communicate my needs but was met with the unprofessionalism seen here.

I had settled on Kamil after seeing his art and experience. I was met with kindness and no judgement. His assistant drew up my idea and I was scheduled way sooner than I thought it was going to take to get in. In two weeks I was in the chair and getting inked. Kamil was very professional through the whole process. I would highly recommend Kamil if you are getting inked. He is dedicated to giving you the best tatt or cover up that you want.
