Experiencia fantástica: Walked in requesting fine line work. I was able to write and design on the spot my first tattoo and the other, the artist created the script of the quote I desired. Planning on going back in the next could of months to get more work done.

Experiencia negativa: I been waiting inside of the establishment because my sister is getting a piercing we been here since 6pm and they close at 7pm. It is 625 and i asked to fill out a form because i decided to get a piercing and the young lady with the double nose piercing and bangs with glasses was entirely rude and denied service saying my sister was the last one getting pierced but they helped people that came in after her & did not tell us when we walked in that she was the last one. This was very unprofessional, unpleasant and an inconvenience. If it wasn’t for ingred i would no longer come here but she is who did my piercing months ago and was very nice and friendly. You dont treat patient spending customers like that. She needs to be replaced or get an attitude adjustment.

Experiencia fantástica: I downsized my conch at another studio two weeks ago and everything was fine until it suddenly wasn’t. My ear became swollen and the jewelry started to embed, and I was pretty stressed. The team here was incredibly kind and reassuring. They safely removed the embedded jewelry, placed a plastic retainer so it can heal properly, and walked me through aftercare. The process was smooth with minimal discomfort. I’m so grateful for their care and professionalism. I’ll definitely be back for jewelry once my ear is ready. Thank you again! ❤️

Was pleasantly surprised when I saw a familiar friendly face. Rossmery had done my very first piercing YEARS ago as a teen. Same smile same wonderful customer service. She was so gentle I didn’t even feel the needle go in. Will definitely be coming back for future piercings. Only con is jewelery is WAY overpriced. Waited to purchase my 14 k gold daith earring elsewhere and my pockets are EXTREMELY glad I did. I recommend you shop around for jewelry Almost 3 times the price at this location.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Andres for a memorial tattoo of my dog Zoey and it could not have come out more perfect, I'm so grateful for his insane talent. He's also just the nicest guy. He was very helpful in helping me craft the image that I had in mind and I was so happy to see the design when I arrived at the shop. The shop is awesome and each artist has their own station so you have plenty of privacy during your appointment. The vibe of the shop is really friendly as well and not at all intimidating as some tattoo shops can be, it seems like all of the artists and piercers are super close friends - they would come over to Andres' station to check out the tattoo he was giving me and chat for a bit, I really enjoyed that. We ended up being the last ones in the shop and going late into the night because the tattoo is quite large and I felt a bit bad to keep him so late, but Andres never rushed for a single second, he made sure to get every detail absolutely perfect which I really appreciate in an artist. I love when an artist shows pride in their work - when he finished, he took pictures and we chatted as he closed up the shop. Such a fair price too for this quality of work. The amount of compliments I've received on this tattoo is wild, it is by far my favorite and most meaningful tattoo that I have, I really don't know how he does it. Highly highly recommend Chicago Ink and Andres!!

Experiencia fantástica: Went in for a nose piercing, was a bit of a wait but so worth it. My piercer was Karen she did amazing and explained the cleaning steps and was super nice. Overall, I loved the service and how they also spoke Spanish. Total was $77 definitely worth it!

Experiencia negativa: I send out a direct email about my daughters uneven ear piercing never got respond so I hope by this review I would get a respond. The piercings are totally uneven it's obvious just by looking at them. Even though I didn't pay for the “messed-up ear” I did pay for the other ear that was “ok”but now I have to wait for her ear to heal, and go through the whole thing again. This has been a terrible experience, and honestly, I expect better, especially since I paid for what I thought would be a professional service. I probably would of got better job at Claire’s.

Experiencia negativa: Extremely Disappointed I paid $53 total for two dermal jewelry and for the lady to change it for me it was 15. Less than a day later, the one she put in already fell out. That’s ridiculous for how much I paid. I guess she didn’t secure it properly, because I take care of my piercings and followed all aftercare instructions & if a dermal is screwed how can it just fall off like that . I’m honestly really disappointed that’s a lot of money to waste on something that didn’t even last 24 hours. I should’ve just changed my jewelry myself instead of trusting this over priced place. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely absurd. Made an appointment to which required a deposit up front. Showed Adonis pictures of what I was thinking for my cover up tattoo which the current was a 1"x 2" name and clovers in a band going around the ankle. Explained before making the appointment that I do not want something big or dark and I wanted to basically just cover the name and have stencil work going around with flowers or something going around to cover the clovers to keep it an anklet but still feminine. He tells me he's going to try and preserve as much of the skin as possible which is why I agreed to the appointment in the first place because I didn't want this big bulky black blob around my ankle and down my foot. First red flag was that Adonis didn't send a single image of ideas of what he was thinking, which we discussed was critical as I didn't want to waste either of our times. Adonis agreed when making the appointment, but didn't send a single drawing in 2 weeks. Then the shop called a few days before telling me that the appointment has to be rescheduled for an apparent "personal emergency" to which I was a bit agitated about as I had planned out the weekend to accommodate the appointment, but was willing to reschedule for the following day. Then when I arrive, what do you know he comes out with a HUGE piece and proceeds to argue with me that it needs to be that big to cover up the current tattoo (which I know is a lie as my cousin is a tattoo artist and I've seen plenty in my time that weren't so big). I had asked for a lotus flower to cover the name and some flowers or stencil work going around to keep the theme of an anklet. He said sure no problem we will mix purples, pinks, and blues to cover the name which sounded perfect. Then the truth comes out where he tells me for "his vision" it needed to be that big. Tells me that I'm the one who said I didn't want it too dark but that if he made it any smaller that it wouldn't cover up the tattoo or would come out looking black. Additionally, tells me it's going to be 5 hours of tattoo work (for $800) and multiple sessions which seems like he's just trying to make money off of me. I find it interesting that I need a 6x10"" tattoo to cover up a 2x1" name and a few clovers around the ankle. Just kept telling me well if you don't want to work with me then I can give you a refund. It wasn't a matter of not wanting working with him, but when the client specifically says they don't want it too big and you come out with a piece that is 3x bigger than discussed and you insist on telling them it needs to be that big and in multiple seasions or get a refund....it's not the client not willing to work with the artist but the artist insisting the client must accept their work as they see fit on their body or get a refund. Didn't even bother trying to work with me as he was very insistent that he could try to make it smaller but that it wouldn't cover it up like I wanted which doesn't even make sense. The shop didn't even bother trying to refer me out to someone who COULD do what I was asking for or to try to actually work with me on design. Just insisting on it not being what I want, that I needed to accept his design, or get a refund. Those were my only options. What a joke. I went to this shop which is 1 hours away from my home because the reviews online and pictures of other client's work seemed stellar. Shame it falls short of giving the customer what they actually want or asked for, but I am glad they agreed to giving my deposit back which is not customary to the shop. So for that I'm thankful. That I didn't have to eat $106 for wasting my time and the agitation this experience has caused. To me this experience was EXTREMELY unprofessional from beginning to almost the end. Future clients be aware of what your signing up for before you agree. Update: Shame on the owner to allow you to lie in reply on their behalf. Your amature skill is why it takes you so long and you drag it out to con for more $$. You don't need to cover the whole leg to cover up a 16yr tattoo that was barely a post it.

Experiencia positiva: Overall my experience with getting the piercing was good probably the smoothest that I have ever gotten. Unfortunately one of my piercings is crooked I got a pair of reverse angel fangs and why one of them is in the perfect position one of them is in this middle of my lip. I called and they said I can come in and get it taken out and repierce there for free. My only problem with this is a piercing needs two to three months to heal closed before it can get repierced If I could have someone contact me so we can work out a plan so I can remove this piercing and have it properly heal closed so I can get it repierced in two to three months when it will be safe to repierce.

Experiencia negativa: Gave me the wrong size barbell. I went to buy 5/16 titanium barbells, they're charging 50$ for each piece of titanium so I settle for steel. They gave me the wrong size despite asking multiple times "are you sure this is 5/16." I ended up with 3/8 barbells and was quickly shooed out of the store, now my piercings are irritated from the oversized and low quality jewelry and I'm down 30$. would not recommend, go somewhere else for piercings

The front desk associate was very kind and professional. Rossmery (my piercer) was really sweet, straight to the point, and educational about the different piercing options but ultimately I went with the Christina piercing. The pain was a 5/10, and felt like an ear piercing (in my opinion). Highly recommend booking with her.

Experiencia positiva: I came here to get my piercing since it had so many good reviews, so I was expecting a great experience. It was "okay" at best. The people at the shop weren’t very friendly. People in the front were stand offish and everyone seemed miserable to be there. The girl who pierced me appeared to be new at it, but she was actually very sweet. She explained everything to me and gave me steps on how to take care of my piercing. Everyone else, though, was underwhelming. At the end of it all, I wish I had taken my business elsewhere (since prices are similar across the board). They didn’t have a lot of choices when it came to jewelry. Next time I get another piercing, I’ll make the drive to Lincoln Park or Wicker Park.

I’ve been coming to them for the longest because they originally pierced my nose and I get very lazy and kept removing the piercings and my hole would close. Eventually when it needed to be reopened Chicago Ink Tattoo & body piercing reopened them with no charge and I just paid for the jewelry. I got two repierced for $42 and left a $3 tip so technically 45 but very nice price. Thanks!

Lied to my bank to keep the money — but the investigation proved they were dishonest. Shady, unprofessional, and not worth the risk.

She informed that she did have an opening that Tuesday and the appointment was set with a deposit for confirmation. There are 2 sessions included in your price as long as you stay on schedule. This pic is my second session and I am so happy with the outcome. Milly's work is awesome!!!

Experiencia positiva: I got an industrial piercing that I super duper love. The piercer initially told me she can do the piercing but recommended me not to get the piercing because of the structure of my ear then she left out the room and came back and said she wasn't going to do the piercing. I asked her why did she tell me something different initially she replied she thought about it and changed her mind which wasn't going to settle with me. If you told me yes initially that means you can do the piercing but for whatever reasons you changed your mind but ultimately it's really my decision so I'm deciding to get the piercing. I decided to get the piercing anyways because while seated in the waiting area I seen the young lady look at the appointment book then look at me with a nervous and I'll prefer not to even express other characteristic gestures. Anyways I'm use to these types of reactions and facial expressions and it didn't to much bother me until she started being problematic for me. If you never experienced these types of behaviors just consider yourself lucky. Anyways she called her manager and he gave her thee ok and had her to have me write a statement. Got my piercing. So far so good after a month of healing. If a problem would've happened id simply remove the piercing. But it's fine. Healing fine. Thanks Chicago Ink For A Great Job On My Piercing

Elizabeth was awesome and super helpful when I asked questions, and I've had no issues with my piercings! The place was also super clean, the employees were really friendly. I would definitely come back here again! Edit: Came here again in June 2025 to get my septum pierced by Rossmery! Rossmery did an amazing job and is extremely sweet and reassuring, I felt very comfortable with her. This place is so professional and the piercers are very experienced and do their jobs so well. Chicago Ink is the best place I've ever come to for piercings. Definitely my go-to spot from now on!

Elizabeth did my piercing—she was very friendly, knowledgeable, and gentle. She explained each step as she went and although it was painful, she gave good coping technique to help. She was helpful in explaining aftercare, too. Definitely happy with my piercing!

I went back and they put it back in since it didn’t close up at no charge. I did put the bar through the front so it would close up. So all they did was put it back through and tighten it up.

I get it, my nephew wanted simple line art, guy could not even be bothered to riff on the concept or even draw something up. Literally said you should ask for someone else - Get over yourself.

Experiencia negativa: Over priced! My sister and I went in to get a 3 inch line work tattoo and got charged 200 each it took 20 minutes to do and now that it is all healed I can see that I am going to have to have some areas touched up because the hand pressure was not consistent. They didn't give any after care instructions and I don't believe our tattooist spoke any English at all so communicating any instructions to him was just met with a smile. Over raided and over priced.

Experiencia fantástica: Such a great experience! Some tattoo shops can be super intimidating but we were immediately welcomed by the girl working the front counter and she was so helpful. I had Italo do my conch piercing and he took the time to go over aftercare and assure me that if I had any issues or questions to call or drop by the shop. I also got a tattoo done by Adonis, one of his flash pieces, and he was also super patient and professional. Great experience overall and I’ll definitely be back.

I got my butterfly tattoo covered/fixed that I got somewhere else a few years back, and as you can see the better version is on a whole other level. Experiencia fantástica: I got pierced by Karen at a tattoo convention in march. I wasn’t going to write a review because I’m not like that, but I realized I couldn’t find my wallet after (somebody else paid for it). Turns out I left it there, nothing important was in it. Got a package in the mail yesterday and it was my wallet! They used my ID to send it to me. In my opinion, those are such good morals. I was genuinely worried for a while but got a new ID and debit card. I recommend Chicago ink because not only is my rook piercing healing beautifully, they are good and honest people.

Jack (sorry if I spelled it incorrectly) at the front desk was awesome; made us feel very welcomed. Elizabeth, the piercer, was patient, professional, and all around great. Experiencia fantástica: I took my 1 year old baby to get her ears repierced here. The first piercer from a tatoo shop in oak park completely messed up her piercings on both ears! I let my babys ears heal and we were lucky to meet Rosemary. Rosemary repierced my babys ears and both ears look great and are healing nicely. She is very sweet and very experienced. My babies piercings look great and I'm more than happy to recommend her to anyone for piercings. I'm very happy with the experience and service.
