He was truly my very favorite Guy. Remy did an amazing job bringing him to life on my arm. My bestie got hers with Jerson. She chose a cactus cuz she grew up on Cactus Rd, and a sunflower to honor her momma that passed away in 2020. Jerson also did a brilliant job! Everything looked super sanitary and organized. Brian, who helped us at the front, was incredibly friendly and patient while we picked out jewelry. He took his time explaining different options and never made us feel rushed. Mingo was our piercer, and he was amazing! He was also very friendly and made sure I felt calm and confident before starting. He explained the process clearly and worked quickly and professionally. Fun fact: I got my navel pierced for the first time exactly three years ago to the day, so this felt like a full-circle moment — and I’m so glad I chose this place for it. Overall, such a lovely, clean studio with kind and skilled staff. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great piercing experience!

Experiencia positiva: Jordan the artist was a 10/10. He is very talented seems like he enjoys what he does. The 3 stars is because the front desk staff seemed impatient and annoyed. I know it was a busy night, but besides that i couldn’t help but notice groups of young nice looking girls got treated better and with a kind attitude and no rush versus my group of dudes who seemed like they just wanted us to get out of there. The unwelcomeness almost made me change my mind. Im glad I stayed and got great work by Jordan.

I came with my best friend and we both came to get our Christina and one nipple pierced, and everyone was so respectful and accommodating when we called, both prior to walking in for a same day appointment, and when we came in for the piercings. Harvey at the front was so helpful and bubbly and inviting, both on the phone and in person. Noah was also so accommodating, despite him not even doing any of our piercings or tattoos. Izzy was so sweet and helpful also. By far the best tattoo and piercing place I've been to nationwide, let alone in Texas. If you want the best experience in San Antonio, I highly recommend coming to Platinum Tattoos & Piercings.

Experiencia negativa: This happened in 2023. I went in to get my tragus pierced, and for some reason the piercer had me lie down on my side for the procedure. While she was piercing my tragus, I felt my ear starting to fill up. At first, I assumed it was saline, but it turned out to be blood. When I touched my ear, the piercer said that I had knocked the piercing out of place. She gave me the option to repierce the same spot, and I agreed. I have multiple ear and body piercings, so I’m no stranger to pain, but I can honestly say this was the most painful piercing I’ve ever had. I actually cried. To her credit, the piercer didn’t charge me for the piercing itself and only charged me for the jewelry.

Experiencia negativa: I came here with my friend to get a helix piercing, and when I got my receipt, I was outraged by the price. Not only did they charge me for the saline that I did not approve of they charged me for the front of the earring and the back of the earring $35 for the front of the earring and $20 for the back of the earring. Plus the $35 fee to even get the piercing. I called and they explained that they charge for the front and the back of the earring even though you need the back of the earring. It needs to come with all the set for $35. A total of 111 everything included for a simple helix ear piercing.Do not go here stay away.

Called ahead and was told there was no wait so we left hyperinkers to come but got here and turns out they were telling other people the same thing over the phone but there was over an hour wait. Now we are stuck paying $91 instead of $25!! for the same wait and the staff was not even apologetic- instead they compared this to a wait a doctors office If I had to wait an hour to see my doctor, id get a new doctor.

Experiencia negativa: I went in to get a quote for a tattoo that was intended to be placed on my hand. I was introduced to the tattoo artist, Jermon, who shared his perspective on placement, and we ultimately agreed on a different location. When I asked to see the placement first, I was informed that payment was required. While I found this unusual, I was willing to follow the shop’s protocol and pay prior to receiving the service—however, I requested that the placement be done first before any payment was made. The tattoo artist was adamant that I needed to pay before even placing the tattoo, which I found odd, especially since I did not observe the same requirement being imposed on other customers. This made me uncomfortable, as it raised concerns about whether my ability or willingness to pay was being questioned. Regardless of the reason, there was an excessive amount of pushback over something that should have been straightforward. I was fully committed to getting the tattoo and paying for the service. However, the artist insisted on payment before taking any steps, stating that he did not want to clean his station in case I changed my mind—despite this being part of his job. His disposition and rigidity made the experience uncomfortable, and I ultimately decided to leave. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this establishment & will not be returning.

Experiencia negativa: Don’t waste your time or money here. I came in looking to get my first tattoo and was ready to go all out on a full realism back piece. The second I walked in, they shoved a form at me that felt like a background check — more worried about protecting themselves than actually caring about the work. I showed them a reference and asked for the artist’s own rendering, but instead I got shown the same Google images anyone can find and a bunch of AI-generated nonsense. When I checked the artist’s Instagram, it was obvious he wasn’t even close to capable of the level of realism I was asking for. The artist barely spoke English, so the guy at the counter had to translate and kept trying to pressure me into staying. I walked out, thankfully. Extremely disappointed and honestly annoyed, especially since I was prepared to spend $1,200–$5,500. This place does not have real artists and has no business taking on serious realism work.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in excited to get my left and right ears pierced, despite having had both done before in less-than-ideal experiences with gun-piercing methods. After doing my research, I discovered the importance of going to a professional piercer. I found Platinum, Tattoos, and Piercings, and called ahead to learn about their process—especially how they handle their instruments. I was impressed to hear that they soak their tools in Everclear for 8 to 12 hours and never use piercing guns. They sanitize everything thoroughly in a sterile, cold environment, which immediately put me at ease. Once I arrived, I signed in and washed my hands, knowing cleanliness is a top priority for them. A friendly sales associate took the time to explain their different piercing options, walking me through what would look best and checking the back of my earlobes to ensure everything was ready. My first experience at a professional piercing shop was fantastic—so much better than I expected. I’ll definitely return if I decide to get another ear piercing or even consider a nose piercing. If you’re looking for the best results with caring, professional people, this place deserves five stars.

When I got there instead of seeing me the person who showed up on time for my appointment, they prioritized a walk-in who showed up a few minutes after me. They made me wait before they even talked to me while prioritizing the walk-in person when I showed up on time but they made me wait an extra 30 minutes before even starting my appointment, then when it came time to pay the price was wildly higher than I was initially told it would be when I booked the appointment. When I booked the appointment the price was $45, but when everything was said and done it ended up being $95. Nowhere on the website at all did it make ANY mention of the price of jewelry and such not being included in the price, so it feels very much like they're trying to pull the wool over your eyes and price gouge you. Very horrible service, very deceptive pricing.

He helped me pick out an affordable, but cute piece of jewelry. Mingo was the one who actually did the piercings and OMG he is amazing. He is the most gentle piercer I’ve ever been to, couldn’t even feel him putting the jewelry in and placement was perfect. 10/10 recommend The price is a bit high compared to other shops, it was $140 for a nostril and a daith piercing. Considering the quality of jewelry, customer service, and the quality of the piercing itself, I think it’s 100% worth the price!

Experiencia negativa: Got my 3rd lobe piercings done by Mingo and he was amazing!!! Made the process super easy and painless!! HOWEVER, let me deinfluence you from getting your piercing done here: I paid $212 for the PIERCINGS which is RIDICULOUS. it shows on the website for lobe piercings (pair) is $60 and then to get to the place and they charge you for the fronts AND backs of the earrings you choose is insane. Especially when there is no mention of charging extra for jewelry or “jewelry not included” on the website…

Experiencia negativa: I booked an appointment online, in no way shape or form was I told that there would be a price for the jewelry and the service. There was no pop up or anything telling about the piercing. I admit I did ask and still paid for it (I'm very bad when it comes down to confrontation, and felt like I had to since they mentioned a cancellation policy but never mentioned how much it was to cancel if there was anything.) regardless I felt blind sided.they made me pay before receiving the service (which I can understand as it makes things go by faster) I let them know that I didn't feel comfortable going though with the piercing and asked for a refund, they told me they don't do refunds and it felt like I either go through with the service or walk out paying almost 30$ more then what the price told me online without getting anything done. Online said 38$ with tax and everything, paid 77.50$ (with a ten dollar tip included) I will admit the piercer in general was very understanding and I really appreciate that. But the other manger just kept fighting me on it and didn't seem as understanding.

Experiencia negativa: Im reporting for this location to the city for price gouging. Honestly I got ripped off. I was charged 180 dollars for ear piercings Basic piercings and I didn't even get any expensive studs. Just the basic ones that come with. Which I found online for literally less than 20 dollars for the pair. Meanwhile other places are doing it for less than 20 dollars for two pierced ears..... and they had an even more professional and sterile environment. This place rips people off but people are too naive to go searching for better. Not to mention the pierced location in my left ear was wrong causing my loop earing to hug my ear instead of having space. Drove all the way from kerrville to go here too because everyone said to go here. But it was not worth the 1 hour and 30 min drive time plus almost 200 dollars for a poor job.

He hit the sweet spot perfectly and I can tell he’s been doing this forever because he was quick, efficient, and really put me at ease. It’s perfectly placed, and looks amazing. The healing has been very good too. I was also given a big bottle of saline spray and after care instructions. The shop itself is clean, and the people there are very friendly. I recommend this place to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: Exceptional tattoo/piercing parlor! I walked in and was welcomed by the staff. Everyone there was incredibly professional, talented and accommodating. I did both a tattoo and piercing, the shop was incredibly clean and both my artist Osmanny and piercing professional were incredible. I have been to a handful of places in SA and I have to say this shop is the best. If you are looking for talent and professionalism under one roof, this is your place! Highly recommend.

Experiencia negativa: extremely disappointed, the 2 Helix piercings are uneven but what makes it worse is that even with proper aftercare both Helix piercings have grown a bump. My septum piercing is another issue as that is uneven as well. spending almost 300$ for a service to not be done right.

Experiencia negativa: Never go here when they are too busy or when they only have 1 tattoo person, or if they ever complain about being short because they will short you. They will make you feel like crap for asking how much the tattoos are. So run before they make you pay a down payment! They make you pay and TIP! Even though you haven’t even got a tattoo yet! And they made my letters all crooked! Also if you get a tattoo, make sure you check the blue print first! Or they may give you a messed up tattoo. Depending on the artist. A lot of them are great, but there’s one in there that thinks he’s such a badass that your messed up tattoo is worth the 300-400. That was with the tip. It took longer waiting than my tattoo only took a minute? Next time bring cash for your tattoo so if you don’t like it, don’t tip if they don’t treat you right. It’s your body and it’s permanent! So you should be able to decide and say things, and be able to ask questions without feeling bad about it.
