I’ve worked with multiple artists there—Brian, Syd, Nick, Alastair, and William—and the quality, professionalism, and care have been consistently excellent every time. The shop is clean, welcoming, and well run, and it shows. Owners Joe and family have created an amazing environment. Zaza Ink sets the standard for what a great tattoo shop should be.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend them enough! This was my first tattoo and I had called a few places who were booked up for weeks/months or seemed somewhat indifferent. I walked in one night after a recommendation and they were incredibly accommodating! Will, the artist, was incredibly helpful at setting my fears at ease over a first tattoo. He explained the process and what I needed to do for after care, and made sure that I was completely satisfied with the tattoo. One thing that stuck with me was that the made a remark about understanding the importance of this tattoo (memorial to a close friend) and how it has to be perfect, and that was very reassuring to me. I cannot recommend them enough! Price was incredibly fair, tattoo was done quicker than expected, and Will, the artist, is amazing! If you're thinking of getting a tattoo/curious about it, I would HIGHLY recommend! Liked them so much I'm getting another tattoo next month!

Fantastic experience: My co-worker recommended this place to me, and I dropped in today for my first tattoo with Syd. Walked in and was immediately taken care of by the receptionist who was extremely welcoming and friendly. Had a pretty firm idea of what I wanted walking in but Syd made a recommendation that solidified the entire piece into even better than I had visioned. I was extremely comfortable the entire process had a great conversation with both Syd and the receptionist while getting the tattoo. Fantastic experience: Came to Zaza as a walk in and felt right at home - everyone there was friendly, communicative, and easygoing. I wanted a pawprint tattoo for my dog who had passed, but didn’t have an actual ink print - just a picture of her pawprint in the snow and a saltdough ornament. Syd masterfully worked with each of these to render a design that is true to my girl’s paw! She was so easy to work with and kept me laughing and comfortable throughout. I also ended up leaving with two piercings done by Victoria, who did a phenomenal job, as well. Can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic experience: I got a tattoo and a nose piercing here, and since there’s some negativity in some of these reviews, I wanted to share that my experience was 100% positive. My nose piercing was super straightforward, and I had no issues with it afterward. Same with the tattoo. Looks exactly like my cat’s collar, and healing process was very well explained and smooth. I believe I had Brian. Overall great experience!

Negative experience: I’ve been to Zaza Tattoo in the past and had decent experiences, but my most recent visit was extremely disappointing. I got two tattoos—one being a "444" and the other a small moon—and both healed horribly. I have a full sleeve and over 15 tattoos from various reputable shops, so I know how to properly care for new ink. Despite following all aftercare steps, the "444" tattoo became infected, scabbed heavily, and turned yellow and crusted. It was clear it was done way too deep, and now I’m left with a visible scar on my wrist and faded ink that looks years old—when it’s only a few months old. The moon tattoo also scarred. It’s incredibly frustrating to spend money and trust an artist, only to be left with permanent damage and poor results. Sadly, I won’t be returning to Zaza

Fantastic experience: Someone left a bad review of Syd in here so I feel the need to share our experience- she was awesome. My husband and I came in as walk ins looking for matching tattoos for our first wedding anniversary. We showed her a photo of what we were thinking, she gave suggestions about size given where we wanted it placed and it came out great. She had other artists confirm they like the placement/style and I never once doubted her. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten tattoos here since I was 18, I’m 21 now, and my first three tattoos were great. I got compliments on all of them. Will, Soldano, and Erik did great on those. I really enjoyed the comforting and welcoming aura they have that I stayed loyal to Zaza for all my pieces! :) However, I went for a tattoo over a year ago and it was really bad. The lines were not straight nor cohesive and the image itself looked confusing, it didn’t look like the image I sent in. It ruined my confidence truly because it’s a fairly large tattoo. I went back to get it redone because I wanted to give them grace since my first three were amazing, but it doesn’t look any better. I am very embarrassed of the tattoo and I wear long sleeves everywhere I go because it is a large piece on my tricep. Because of its size and how random the artist made the image look, it is hard to find ways to mask the tattoo or at least take attention away from it. I got the tattoo with a friend too because we got similar ones, and she’s looking to get it removed. The lines are not straight, they are blotchy, it doesn’t look like the image we sent in, it looked like a child drew it on. It sounds mean, but the ink is on our skin permanently and we paid for it. The artist was sweet and we chatted it up both times I went to her, but her work on my skin ruined my self esteem, and my friends. I know that everyone starts somewhere and not all skill sets are the same when starting, but I feel as though there should be some sort of compensation for how poor the piece came out. 03/17/25 Update: After posting the review, the owner, Joe, called me the day after to come into the shop to talk about what I had going on my arm. He was very understanding and laid out my options as the shop offers a guarantee on their tattoos. They were willing to pay out of pocket for each laser removal session until I was satisfied, or offered me a distraction piece to take attention away from the original tattoo that I am unhappy with. Because the tattoo is very thick and dark, I opted for a distraction tattoo because the laser option would go over the course of a year+. They were overall very helpful and understanding of my concerns and I am very grateful that a shop was able to reach out to make things right, even if it was over a year later. I went for a consult with Will and he was also very patient with me, as finding ideas for a distraction became difficult due to the size and thickness. He was eager to try out new ideas to cover up/distract, and he didn’t stop curating sketches until I was satisfied with the distraction. It made me feel relieved that he wanted to see me happy with the sketch first, instead of slapping something random on my arm and calling it a day. I have the appointment for the distraction tattoo coming up on the 21st at the convention, and I can’t wait to be confident in my own skin again. I also want to mention the accountability that the shop has, to reach out and make things right with me, whether it was dropping thousands on laser sessions, or giving me a tattoo worth thousands.

I wasn't going to do a sleeve on my right arm but when my nephew passed I found out he had his work done by William and wanted the same thing he had on his arm. His loss shattered my family. I mentioned it when i started my sleeve and Joe and his family at Zaza ink went above and beyond to show their support with my loss. They have always been extremely professional and modest. I have never felt more comfortable at a tattoo shop, (and i have a lot of tattoos) anyone saying different its just a straight lie. Negative experience: Don’t waste your time or money here. I’ve been to Zaza on 3 separate occasions, all for tattoos. The owner is extremely perverted and inappropriate to both costumers and staff. When I got my spine tattoo, he kept insisting on adjusting my johnny gown so that my back was not showing. He let an apprentice, Sydney, do my upper arm tattoo, which she completely blew up and smudged out. I wonder if she did this intentionally due to the fact that she had some sort of personal vendetta against me, claiming to other staff members that I was “obsessed” with her, mind you, I was open and expressive to her about my relationship with my boyfriend at the time. The whole thing was super weird. Anyways, I needed to get that ink fixed at a different studio. The last thing I’ll say, what REALLY did it for me, was the tarot card. The woman Sarah who did it was clearly inexperienced, and no longer works there, but she did an awful job, you can’t even make out the leaves and the flowers on the card…I’m so disgusted and disappointed with this one, it has caused me so much insecurity I am going to get it laser removed. Zaza ink really gave me a run for my money, 10/10 don’t recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Love this place all my tattoos are done by William. He’s the best very particular and honest if he doesn’t think your idea will look great he will tweet it to look amazing. His actual free hand drawings are superb and he always make sure you leave there happy with a smile.

Negative experience: I had a tattoo done in April. I wasn't happy with the end result when I left and I'm definetly not happy now. It's faded and this person really didn't pay attenion to detail. This was an important tattoo for me and I don't even like people seeing it. I would not go back there.

Fantastic experience: I had syd today as an artist as a walk in, came in with an idea in mind with a picture she gave me options and ideas and I went with one. She was more then amazing taking the shading and detail to the next level, she made me feel so comfortableas i wanted something more shaded and she excelled my expectations. As an artist trying to build her portfolio I'd 110% book with her again I've always love all my tattoos from zaza ink but her work just blew me away!

Fantastic experience: Brian did a fantastic job. Considering it's a permanent part of my body, it's important to be good. This is my 5th, and probably my best. I can't speak highly enough about it. I gave him a picture, as i wanted an "iron on" style EGA. The detail is great, and it looks perfect.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Zaza for over 15 years. I moved 2.5 hours away and I still make the trip to down for all of my tattoos and piercings. Joe and Brian Soldano have been working together to complete my sleeve. The shop is always incredibly clean and everyone is super professional.

Negative experience: I’m a repeat customer and I will not go back to this parlor. Had artist Will (11/24/23) and he was incredibly condescending and curt. TERRIBLE attitude. Chastised me for asking questions and wanting positional changes on a new tattoo (my grandfathers first name). At the same time, I was there to get a touch up on a tattoo (originally done there). He was terse and impatient during the consult and prep. I didn’t say a word the entire appointment and he made me feel so uncomfortable. When he asked my opinion on the finished products, I said it was fine just to get out of there. Don’t go here if you expect respect and proper customer service. I’ve had 4 tattoos done here and repeatedly experience this behavior from the staff I have interacted with. Today was my last straw. I will not return ever again due to this service experience. Also, if you go in for a retouch and want anything else (especially small sized pieces), you WILL be charged the $100 minimum as per their customer agreement, regardless of size or length of time to complete. Just keep that in mind if you go in for a fix or decide to go here.

Fantastic experience: Second time here. Went in for a walk in and saw Will. I got a wrap around ankle tattoo that went to the foot as well. Pain was 10/10 but Will made it enjoyable! I showed him one picture that was a variation of what I wanted and he literally got it perfect. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Zaza is my go-to for piercings and would definitely recommend. Very reasonably priced with basic jewelry included, which was exactly what I was looking for, and a great piercer. Sydney is very professional and knowledgeable, and was also a big help when I was having difficulties healing my piercings (my fault). One thing I love about this place is they don’t try to upsell you with products that are overpriced and not really needed. She recommended chamomile tea bag compresses and advil liquid gel on my keloids, did the trick in no time.

Negative experience: Thought it was going to be ok but was accused of my sister being drunk when she has a disability NOT COOL Update. Was the girl with the very short hair, she answered the phone. And it was approximately 3 weeks ago

Fantastic experience: Got my septum pierced here, everyone is super nice and make you feel so comfortable. She was so gentle it literally hurt more getting my earlobes pierced at Claire’s than getting my septum here. 10/10 would recommend to anyone I come across!!!

Negative experience: they never checked my anatomy for a piercing and when i went back to have them look at it they told me to put tea on it. i don’t think tea could have fixed this. the other guy that pierced me before was cool tho

Here at ZAZA you will acquire top notch work by top notch artists.If its your first time they will sit with you and make sure you understand everything you wish to know and no questions go unanswered. At ZAZA they create a unique experience for you and treat you how you should be. I have had all walks of life come up to me to give me kind words on my tattoos, and ask where I got them. Not joking maybe 3-5 people ask me about the work every single day in which I proudly wear on my skin. They say to me “ wow, i have never seen tattoos look so clean, flow so smoothly and look so professional.” Zaza has many artists that will be able to cater to your every need and if you choose zaza, you may never walk out again. They are that good, and the environment and experience is that unique and nothing elsewhere can even compeer to Its going to be one of the best choices you could ever make for yourself if you are interested in body art or piercings. Both William and Brian S have been working on my body suit and I couldn't be more honored to have it being done by those two talented artists. I think I have some of the best work around and I owe it all to ZAZA and the amazing artists it houses. ❤️

Fantastic experience: Today I went in for my first tattoo ever and Allan was amazing! He took the time to ask me if I liked the outline and what I wanted and the placement. I made him aware I was scared because I often pass out or get whoozy but he assured me I would be okay and that if that did happen he would stop and we would take care of that and then go again. His voice was so calming and I really had a wonderful experience for my first tattoo!! I will definitely be back to see Allan!

I was set up with artist Will, who was kind enough to give me an appointment on such short notice, as well as a consult. His patience, knowledge and honesty meant a lot to me and I LOVE how my piece came out! I have already gotten many compliments on it! What great people, and amazing artists here. Negative experience: Used to go to Nick aka Squirrel. He did nice work. Shame that he left. Had another tattoo done by another artist there. Nice guy, but it was rushed and did not do a great job. In process of doing a cover-up/rework to fix it.

Fantastic experience: Today I went in for a walk in tattoo and was greeted by Angela. She was able to help me immediately get started and also do the tattoo as well. I was very impressed with the efficiency and quality of her work. She was very friendly and made the experience very natural and comfortable with her easy going vibe. I am super happy with my now third tattoo and would recommend getting your first or next one with her!

Fantastic experience: I had an incredibly positive experience with Joe, re-doing a nipple tattoo on a mastectomy breast that had gone white. (The plastic surgeon, well, let’s just say it wasn’t his forte.) Joe was so professional as this was pretty embarrassing, and the result is absolutely amazing ! I’ve been showing it off to certain people (mostly family) and nobody can believe that it looks so real! It’s a 3D image with perfect shading. I’d put a photo but….
