Fantastic experience: 5 years ago 2021 Went in for simple tattoo couple tattoo and if they advice against them doesn’t matter I want what I’m paying for. And if they want there personal feelings to affect there business they shouldn’t be open. Or should have it listed somewhere they won’t do them before wasting time. Never in my life had a artist try to control what a person wants . Thanks for losing business . Now 2026 Update: THANK GOD HE DIDN'T LET ME GET THEM! Wise artists work there and you can trust them 5 ⭐️

Fantastic experience: Emma is the BEST!! She has done three tattoos for me, and knocked it out of the park every single time. She really takes the time to make sure all of her work is precise and beautiful, plus you have a blast hanging out with her. She’s great for everyone, but as a woman who likes to get silly girlie tattoos, Emma provides a safe and non-judgmental environment, which can be hard to come by in the tattoo world sometimes. She’s stuck with me because I will be going back, but y’all need to go see her too! The rest of the staff is just as friendly and I really felt like I was just hanging out with some pals.

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoos done by Emma last summer and I’m OBSESSED with them. I can’t wait to get more!! The lines were crisp it looks like someone like photocopied it onto my skin lol.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved Emma ( @banditinks). She was so so nice and made me feel so welcomed. I ended up getting my back done and it really was everything I wanted. It took around 4 hours and she offered me breaks and made sure I was comfortable. I also loved how she kinda understood that I was nervous and didn’t force conversation. She completely went by my lead when it came to speaking ( if I wanted to not speak or yap yk). As for pricing I expected it to be more than what it was and her estimate was on point.

Fantastic experience: LOVE LOVE LOVE. AMAZING!!! Emma (the tattoo artist) was amazing she delivered great quality work, with very good prices. She gave great advice without trying to sway any decisions. Hollywood was also absolutely amazing. Once again gave great advice and he was very helpful when it came to after care. Overall, a very caring and you can tell consent is key with them. 100000/10 recommend! I will defiantly be back!

Positive experience: The best piercing guy in town. There's better tattoo shops out there. I have two tattoos from here and like 6 piercings.

Negative experience: Incredibly frustrated with this establishment. Me and a friend went in several weeks ago to get piercings. I got a tragus. Trusting that the piercer Hollywood knew what he was doing, I didn’t second guess the jewelry or anything about it. I even made sure to tip generously on both my own bill, and my friends. The whole experience was fine, it hurt but that’s expected. It bleed a lot as well, but again, expected. Over the next few days, my ear started to swell, naturally since I stabbed a hole in my ear. But then it just kept swelling, and swelling, to the point that the earring was disappearing into my swollen ear/face, despite my intense efforts to keep it clean, keeping in mind I have 12+ other piercings that have never been infected. My entire right side of my face was infected, my cheek swollen, my ear pouring out puss, topped with a horrible headache. I went to urgent care where they tried to painfully dig the earring out of my ear/face then gave up and sent me to the hospital. The hospital told me there’s nothing they could do, it was too far gone and they wouldn’t be able to remove it, and I’d have to find a plastic surgeon to cut it out of my ear. The bar on the jewelry that was used was WAY too small for a new piercing, and to quote several different physicians, “a qualified professional piercer should have know to use a longer bar to accommodate swelling” . It was simply too swollen to remove, so they gave me antibiotics and said hopefully when the swelling is gone, you can get it out. Okay great! Only problem is, I don’t know what kind of jewelry is in it (screw on, snap on, does it come off in the front or back etc.). I called Ink and Needle to find out what kind of jewelry was used, THREE separate times, during business hours, only to be sent to voicemail then cut off before I could even leave a message. I’m just floored by the whole situation, to have no way of contacting them, even just to let them know they used the wrong length jewelry and maybe save another person. It’s now almost a month later, and the swelling is gone, but my ear completely swallowed the earring and now I’m waiting to get in to a plastic surgeon to cut it out of my ear. Save yourself the pain (and possible infection and hospital bill) and find another piercing place.

Fantastic experience: I went with a couple friends for a walk in and Emma (@banditinks on IG) managed to fit all of us in even though she was busy! She specializes in fine line tattoos and did a great job on all of ours and the prices are super reasonable!

Negative experience: I went in to get a tattoo on my birthday. It was my first tattoo. Not only was my piercer acting incredibly annoyed with me, whilst complaining about how she hadn’t ate. She was actively rushing through my tattoo, which only took her about 30 minutes. It was a simple request for a double butterfly but when I asked her to detail the tattoo more instead of leaving it blank (butterfly wings) she told me that the ink would “spread” and cause it to look blurry. For reference, the tattoo itself is about 2.5 inches vertically and about 2 horizontally, with plenty of open space inside of the outline. If i wanted to get two empty butterfly tattoos, I shouldn’t have paid $125. Incredibly overpriced for some rushed work that honestly didn’t make me confident, happy, or leave me feeling good exiting the shop. I was upset with what was on my skin, paid way too much for an outline of a butterfly when that’s not what I asked for, and for her to make me feel like I was in HER way and disrupting HER time to eat, was just awful. Have some decency to treat new customers with respect and kindness and listen to what they want. I would never return to this shop and I’m glad to have gotten it covered the way I did. the tattoo was a rushed outline, NOT worth $125 and especially for how I felt about it, 0/10.

Negative experience: This is the worst tattoo parlor in the city. Go literally anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I have known many people to be tattooed here and all have had great experiences. Not only is the front desk staff. Super helpful. But all of the artists have great work. I have no complaints. It’s a chill place to get tattooed that they’ve got great prices And a wide selection of things to get from tattoos to piercings.

Fantastic experience: Harleigh did my 3rd lobe piercings. She was great, extremely detail oriented and ensured I was happy with every step of the process. Made sure everything was even multiple times and let me give feedback before she pierced me. Explained the process and aftercare really well. Super happy!!

Fantastic experience: Update: I heard from the manager of the shop (Chelsea) who was very very genuine about the entire situation and it was handled accordingly. Just the effort and care she put in it, is why I’m changing my one star to a 5. I’ve been here….for several tattoos. But I will never be coming back. I had a AWFUL experience when I was put with a guy named Mike for a cover up. I tried reaching out to the shop about what happened via their Facebook page but I was left on read. This artist was extremely inappropriate and definitely shouldn’t have even been in the shop that day. The piece I got was a cover up piece…..it was a big deal and a bit emotional….this man’s action and mouth took that experience from me. I ended up crying in my car in the parking lot after.

Positive experience: I came here to get a septum piercing and the staff said they don't do septums. Okay then. My friend had an old ear piercing reopened and they did a fine job with that.

Fantastic experience: Walk-in first time; group of four all looking to get pierced. Super fast service, professional, free consult and great vibes all around. Hollywood knows his shit; how to make people feel comfortable; and how to handle an adverse reaction if it happens. 10/10

Fantastic experience: Hollywood has been doing this for almost 20 years. The man knows what he’s doing. Easy chill energy and keeps you calm and laughing off your nerves, I had almost no pain. Belly button piercing was $50 (but really $60 because tip this man!!)

Fantastic experience: I lost the ball on one of my nipple piercings I had done at the east location a few months back (another amazing experience). I came in this evening to get the ball replaced & was taken care of quickly & given backup jewelry & balls without charge. Just another reason why I love the Ink & Needles! Thanks guys ☺️

Negative experience: I would give lower if I could. I went in February 3rd and got my nipples pierced by Hollywood. Cool, great, seemed to be going good. The next month after that was hell. I would get out of work and get undressed and my bars would be pushed through my nipple. Like the ball from one side went back in me and tried to go out the other side. Almost every day. And then the infection bumps start coming in. These were not my first piercings so I knew how to take care of them and took even more precaution because of where the piercings were on my body. And they weren’t straight but that’s the least of my concerns. I went in and got the bars changed out because everyone I talked to said my bars were too short. The lady that changed them out measured them and said they were way too short.. apparently he was supposed to measure them to determine the length of the bar, which he never did. So she dealt with that problem. Which I thought would help stop the infection, it did not. The day I got my bars changed to longer ones someone I was with got theirs pierced. Theirs are already healed. And here I am, 6 months later, I’m still having a new infection bump come up every couple weeks. Once one goes down a new one pops up. Today, I took out the piercings. It has been 6months of dealing with the on and off infections and constant pain. I hoped it would get better but it hasn’t. When these holes heal up I will be going somewhere else to get them redone properly. I’m out almost $100 that I will never see again and I’m dealing with the constant pain from it. I do not recommend this place, I do not recommend getting pierced by Hollywood.

I cannot remember the gentlemans name that did the piercing but he was extremely knowledgeable and professional. If you're in the Lansing area and need a piercing, I would suggest stopping here. He was also very informative about the aftercare of the piercing.

Negative experience: The piercing lady was really rude towards me asking a question about the size of the jewelry for the nose as I have a 16 gauge in my nose and I just wanted to know the size of it was going to be the same or not

Fantastic experience: My previous review of this location was originally negative, not because of any of the artist but of one of the desk people,, overall my wife and I felt like the desk person was rude and didn't help or seem to listen when we were looking to get something done, my opinion and the response from this business was remedied by the owner who reached out and relieved the situation. Knowing that this company cares about its customers honestly gave me such reassurance about going to any of these locations. I will definitely be a repeating customer in the future

Fantastic experience: Got my nose pierced by HOLLYWOOD and he was such an amazing guy. He did my brothers girlfriends the day before I did and it was quick! The next day when I went he got the job done and of course the adrenaline kicked in of me being excited and when that happened I almost fainted so he let me lay down & he gave me something to help since I was pale as a ghost. He brought in a fan for me to cool off and gave me water. By far my favorite person there, the other staff were really nice too and love the lady that got us in:)

Negative experience: Was on hold for almost 15 minutes listening to their conversation on the other end. No one ever came to the phone. Ended up hanging up. Won't get my business if you can't even have good customer service over the phone.

Fantastic experience: I had waited some time to get some more tattooing done, could not decide how I wanted some symbols laid out , when I walked in to Ink&Needle south I was greeted by a kind person and was handed a portfolio by Mike B, I was very surprised at what I was looking at, how he draws faces is exactly the way I would want One done, I was very happy how he laid out the symbols and the quality of his craftsmanship, this kind of information is bad for me because he and the others he works with will get so dam busy I won't be able to get back in

After calling several tattoo places in Lansing I settled on Inc and Needle South since they had a tattoo artist available that had the same tattoo style my friend wanted. Hannah did an amazing job and was quick and light handed. With such a delicate tattoo, she did such a great job! And most importantly, my friend loves it. I ended up getting a Forward Helix Piercing by Holiday while I was there. He made me feel relaxed. The piercing was quick with hardly any pain. And it looks great! Highly recommend!
